3-3-10 Ava is officially potty trained!! I am so proud of her!! It only took about 2 weeks. She is out of diapers for good! She rarely has accidents unless she is just having to much fun. Its so nice!! She also dresses herself everymorning and brushes her own teeth.
2-21-10 Well I am working on getting Ava on some waiting lists for schools. I go next week to check one out. I am going to go ahead and put her on a the list if I like the place. I have found 4 schools to look into. All have waiting list and all are expensive. I just hope the wait isn't to long. Peggy can help me out tell she gets in a school thankgoodness! Not sure what I would do without her help. I have to go meet at the school I am wanting to go to as well and see when I can start at LSUS. I am so looking forward to going to school full time. Brian's sister and baby Lily came for a visit this past week. It was so wonderful getting to see Kelli and meeting Lily. She was such a pretty and sweet little thing. It was a wonderful time and Ava had a blast with all her cousins. We got a bouncy house for that Saturday and it was a real hit. Also the weather was great while everyone was here.

Well we are not moving. We have thought a lot about it and it’s not as easy as Brian thought it would be to get a job in Dallas, so we are not selling our land and we are staying here in Coushatta. I am going to start school full time in August and I am going to get a bachelors degree (not sure which one yet) and then a masters to be an occupational therapist. I am pretty sure I want to work with children or adults with special needs and multiple handicaps. I am thinking I am going to specialize in sensory issues. This is my dream, and I know if we stay here in LA it can come true. I want to help children and adults that have issues the same as Jakob did. We are blessed that Brian can work for himself here and I think we should just go with it for now.
1-26-10 We ended up going to the football game last weekend and the Saints won!! Wooohooo, black and gold at the SUPER Bowl for the first time ever! We are super excited!
1-19-10 Well I haven't wrote in a long time because my modem went out in my computer at home so I couldn't get online. I finally had to get it all fixed because I am doing two classes online this semester for school. We are suppose to be movin back to Texas at some point so I took them online in case we move. We still don't know if Brian has a job there or not though. I quit my job. Mainly because I thought we were moving sooner. Ava had a wonderful holiday. She loves all her new toys she got and plays with them all the time. I have been cleaning house like crazy and trying to pack and get organized as well. Now I am busy with my online classes. The date of Jakob's dealth is coming up. I don't think any of us are looking forward to that. I know I have come to the acceptance part of grieving now. Although I will never get over it, I am not as depressed about it. I miss him so much and think about him everyday. I am glad I had all the days I did have with him. We are blessed to have a ton of photos and video of him as well. I started my last scrapbook on him. I haven't done much with it yet though cause I have been busy but I am glad to be working on it now.
11-21-09 Well lots has been going on lately. We stay very busy most the time. All of us were sick for a good week and it was awful. I am so glad to be feeling better now. Brian and I went to New Orleans and it was such a good time. We went to voodoo fest a big 3 day concert. Ava is growing big and we made her bed into a toddler bed today. So she is a big girl now lol! I am almost done with this semester at school. Only 2 more weeks after our thanksgiving break. I think I will send up with two A's. I am taking three classes next semester. Algerbra, english and computer class. My job is going well and it works really well with school. I am planning on scrapbooking on my school break in December. I am going to finish Jakob's book and start Ava's. I already bought my new supplies and I am just waiting for time to start on it. We are going to Texas for Xmas. I can't wait to be with my family. Next week is Thanksgiving and I look forward to being with Brian's family and enjoying the yummy food. We are taking Ava to get family pics and pics of her at Sears next weekend too.
10-18-09 Brian and me had our 5 year anniversary last Tuesday. Brian got me a blackberry!! I couldn't believe it. We weren't suppose to be spending much so I didn't get him anything but some candy and a card. I wanted to get him a watch but we didn't have the money. Maybe I can surprise him with it later on. Things have been going pretty good lately. Ava still loves her sitter and I love my new job still. I can't wait to get my first pay check!
10-10-09 Well I started a new job this past week. I really like it. I am just a file clerk but its at a place that does home healthcare and therapy for seniors. I really like that its in the field of work I will actually be doing when I get done with school. Its way better then the pizza place was. Ava started going to a lady that has a home daycare. I was afraid I wouldn't care for it but I love it. Ava loves it. When I pick her up she is always so happy and tells me all about her day. I always ask her if she wants to go back and she says yes! Its only about 10 mins from out house and the lady only keeps 6 kids so I like that she doesn't have a ton of kids either. I have really been happy with how that has all turned out. She seems to love being with the other kids. She has gotten sick with allergies this week though. The day she started she came home with a runny nose. I guess that is just part of it though. School is going okay, just looking forward to the semester being over lol.
9-22-09 We had Ava's bday party last weekend. She had a great time. We had two girls come and play with her and did a princess theme. She got a lot of new toys. I am clearing out some of the old ones to make new for new ones. She also got clothes from her grammer Jen, Grandma Denise, and great grandma Ruth. I had to work after the party but it was a nice time and Ava loved playing with the girls that came.
9-15-09 Yesterday was my baby girls 2nd birthday! I just can't believe she is getting so old so fast. We just got back from Fl yesterday too. The wedding was great and the trip was so much fun. Our condo was so nice!! I loved it. I wish I could leave close to the beach cause I really love it there. I wasn't really ready to come home but we did miss Ava a lot. Brian went deep sea fishing one day and we got to bring home lots of fish to eat!! Yummy! Oh and Ava's bday party is this Saturday. We aren't doing much though, just a very small party and its going to be the princess theme.
9-4-09 I can't believe my little girl is going to be 2 very soon. She is getting so big and she is in to everything. She is starting to really like coloring. I have some good news. I got a job a few days ago. My first day is today. I am working at the pizza place in Coushatta called Speedys. Its not much pay but I think I will like it and its in Coushatta so that counts for a lot. I plan on working there until I am done with school. I never heard from of any of the jobs I applied for in Shreveport other then one and I didn't want to work at it. We go to Fl next weekend. I am looking forward to that time with out Ava to relax. Not much going on other then school and now starting to work. Staying busy.
8-17-09 Got back from a fast trip to Tx. It was a really nice visit. I really enjoyed seeing Jax my nephew. He is getting so big so fast. I am trying to update with pics but Brian's computer isn't working well. I start school Thursday too! Our fridge went out and we got a new one. The one we had ws only 4 years old! I will never buy GE anything! Hopefully the new one will be better.
7-30-09 Well I finally got registered for my classes yesterday. I am just going to take Math and English this semester. Brian and me are still working through a lot of stuff and I know it will all take time so I didn't want to put to much on my plate. I also still might get a job as well after school starts. It all depends if I can find something that works for me. Ava is doing well and the accident didn't seem to affect her much. She has been a bit more loving or maybe we are just hugging and kissing her even more. We are so thankful no one was hurt.
7-29-09 Yesterday we almost lost Ava and Brian's grandmother who we call Gammie. Ava was at Gammies house yesterday while I went to my therapy session. They live very close to a main road here in Coushatta. It was raining. A Ford F150 came into the living room where Ava and Gammie were. They are both okay without a scratch on them. If Ava or Gammie would have been a few feet from where they were we are not sure what would have happened. Ava did get knocked down but she was checked out and we can't find even a scratch on here. Which is a miracle because where she was standing there was flying glass, bricks and other things that landed behind her. We are so thankful that no one got hurt in the accident.
7-14-09 We had such a wonderful weekend this past one. We took Ava to the zoo for the first time and she really enjoyed it. It was hot but we left early and we had a blast. Ava loved it.
7-3-09 Well I haven't written lately. Ava is getting into the terrible two's as some call it so she won't really let me do much of anything other then play with her when I am home. Not much has been going on. Mainly working with Brian and trying to do fun things on the weekends. Brian's sister had her first baby today!! Very exciting, although we are sad we couldn't be in NY for the event. We are very happy for them though and can't wait to meet the new addition. 6-3-09 Well summer is here in our state. Most days are soooo hot! Mom got Ava a little pool and we already had to try it out. She had a blast in it. I ended up getting sun burned pretty badly. Brian got a bit of a sun burn as well. We had a good weekend though. We are both missing Jakob a lot. We will probably go to his grave this weekend. Although that doesn't really help me from missing him. We have his pictures all over the house. We are going to do some cleaning this weekend and rearranging of furniture if we can figure out a better way for it to go. 5-26-09 Well we are back from Texas. It was a very fast trip so we didn't get to visit as much people as we would have liked too, but glad we got to see some of the family. I got to do some shopping while I was there. I got some much needed new clothes. I have lost a lot of weight and happy to say I am wearing a size 4 in womens!! Woohoo! Ava had a blast everywhere we went. We got her a new 4wheeler too that is made for her age. So far she is sort of scared on it. 5-19-09 I have some good news! I am going to start back at school in August, FULL time!! I have decided I want to go full time during the day now. So hopefully it will all work out and I can be done in two years and be a physical therapist assistant then. Also we are coming to Texas this weekend to see family. 5-7-09 Well Jakobs birthday would have been May 12th next Tuesday, he would have been 5 years old. I was planning on having a party for him too and doing the Yo Gabba Gabba theme. I think he would have had a good time for once since he was use to the kids at school. Mom is coming on Sunday and we are going to go to his grave and put some flowers up for him. I am going to get him a cake made of flowers. I am sure it will be a sad day. I am not looking forward to it. I am glad mom is coming though. We have a lot planning while she is here. I ended up dropping my last class I had but I am starting back up this Fall. I am just going to take a few classes online only though. I am going to do what I can online and then start back up probably the following year. I am now working at the shop with Brian four days a week. We have someone babysitting Ava. I like getting out of the house and Brian seems to be making more money with my help. Ava is doing well. She is talking up a storm and still getting bigger. She thinks she is an adult it seems like. She loves to help me do anything and everything. She is such a blessing in my life.
