KELSIE'S GOT HER 1st TOOTH I discovered whilst she was busily chewing away on my finger.  It's been a while coming.  She's been quite grizzly and restless the past month or so plus he little cheeks have been a bit red.  Hopefully the other teeth won't be far behind now, think Sydney had at least 8 teeth through before she turned 1.

Kelsie's into EVERYTHING at the moment. Her crawling is very consistent and she's a lot more inquistive, had to ask my mum to bring back our travel cot back from hers, so I can bung the little spud in it whilst I attempt to get on with stuff in the house.  She can also kneel now.

She tried another feat today... climbing the stairs. Sydney was sat a few steps up on the stairs and Kelsie had pulled herself up to see what she was doing. Then she lifted her leg and managed to get up the first step. Going to purchase a stair gate for downstairs because I don't want her to have an accident, I still have the original gate that we got when Sydney was little but I want something that's a bit more robust. The gate we have in-between the lounge and kitchen is still going strong LOL it's both child and adult proof HEE HEE.

Kelsie REALLY loves her solids now, can't get enough of porridge, petit flous, chocolate pudding, cheesy pasta and toast.

18th February 2006
Kelsie is crawling REALLY well now, has gotten extremely fast the past couple of days.  She's now started to pull herself up on the furniture and can sit unaided too.  Think it's only going to be a matter of time before she's walking, you can tell her little mind is ticking away and she's learning more and more each day.  She turns 7 months old tomorrow, I still find it hard to believe how quick time has past.  This time last year, I would've been 4 months pregnant and just starting to feel her moving about inside of me.

19th January 2006
KELSIE IS 6 MONTHS OLD TODAY Kelsie can crawl now, it's not a full blow crawl as such.  She drags herself along the floor, so is finding it quite easy getting from A to B.  Probably in the next week or so, she'll do the deed properly.

17th January 2006
Kelsie had her 3rd and final set of jabs today, she was alright when the 1st one went it but screamed her head off when the 2nd one was done.  Also got her weighed as well, thought I'd better because she hasn't been weighed since the 1st November.  Anyway, the little tike now weighs 7.42 kg (lbs ozs).

KELSIE IS 5 MONTHS OLD TODAY

KELSIE IS 4 MONTHS OLD TODAY

1st November 2005
15 WEEKS OLD The Health Visitor came round today to weigh Kelsie (Kelsie hadn't been weighed since early September) and to discuss about weaning her etc., etc - Kelsie now weighs 6.18 kg (13lbs 10ozs), which is apparently spot on.

26th October 2005
LITTLE MISS CHATTERBOX Kelsie is now fully conversant in the art of baby talk and just doesn't shut up these days, it's soo sweet when she tries to have a conversation with you in her own little way. She's still smiling for all her worth, she's got such a cute little grin but then I would say that as I'm her mother. The little smarty pants can also roll over now (has been for the last couple of weeks) and has virtually mastered control of her head. If you lay her down and let her grab your hands, she tries to pull herself up. Definitely think Kelsie will crawl, walk and maybe talk earlier than Sydney... only a few months to go then before I need to have eyes at the back of my head.

24th September 2005
Things have been a lot easier this week with Kelsie. For some reason, she's now having a feed between 7-9 p.m. and then sleeping through til 4 a.m. We're hoping that this isn't a fluke becasue the last two nights she's been a right little monkey, waking at 2:30 a.m. having about an ounce of milk and then falling back to sleep, only to wake again an hour later to finish off the rest of the bottle. It was my turn for the night feed last night and the little monkey must've woken at about 3 a.m. (wasn't sure of the time) had quite a bit of her milk but refused to go back to sleep. I changed her bum and even gave her a cuddle but all she did was look about the bedroom wide-eyed grinning at me. She was like this until about 5 a.m. when she finished off what was left of her bottle and thankfully nodded off (as did I).

I'm noticing more and more changes in her every week. When you lay her on your lap so that she's facing you, she makes these funny little noises and tries to talk to you. She's grinning loads now and always has a beautiful smile for her mummy when she wakes in the morning. She's also making attempts to giggle too. I have noticed that for some bizarre reason she likes grabbing her own hair which then of course makes her cry because she pulls it soo damn hard. Don't think it's going to be that long before she grabs for objects and gets them. When you hold her in your arms, she waves her hands about like a looney and finds great pleasure when she touches your face.

25th August 2005
At 5 weeks and 2 days old, Kelsie weighs 4.38 kg (9lbs 11ozs).

23rd August 2005
5 WEEKS OLD TODAY   Kelsie had a bath with her big sister this morning and absolutely loved it, it was nice bathing a baby and not having it scream it's head off. Sydney never liked the water as a baby and still has little hissy fits about getting into the bath even now. Kelsie's cold seems a bit better today, she's not a snuffly and she got a better nights sleep (so did I). Hoping she'll sleep a bit during the day, she just seems to want to be awake during the day.

16th August 2005
1 MONTH OLD TODAY

15th August 2005
Poor Kelsie had to have a 3rd lot of bloods done today, she screamed the place down although I don't blame her one little bit.  As I discovered today, it isn't the needle that hurts, it's how they actually get the blood out that causes all the pain (they bend the hand right back and have to let droplets of blood drip into a tiny vile to be collected - OUCH!).  They also measured her up the hospital today too, she's grown 2 cms since she was born (she's now 52.5 cms long) and weighs 4.16 kg (9lbs 3ozs).  Kelsie has also managed to finally pass her hearing test, the Health Visitor remembered to bring the machine with her this time.

8th August 2005
At 2 weeks and 6 days old, Kelsie weighs 3.94 kg (8lbs 11ozs).  The Health Visitor was suppose to finish completing Kelsie's hearing test today but had forgot to bring the machine with her.

2nd August 2005
2 WEEKS OLD TODAY  Kelsie had to go back to the James Paget Hospital today for her 2nd lot of TSH & T4 blood tests.  Yet again, the paediatricians had difficulty getting the blood out of her.  Thankfully on the last attempt, they got some but the poor little bugger wasn't happy about it.  Just hope that the results come back OK - fingers crossed.

29th July 2005
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY!!!  At 1 week and 3 days old, Kelsie weighs 3.56 kg (7lbs 14ozs).
