What's new with us?  Check out our pictures from Halloween.  Madison was an angel, and Caleb was a pirate.  We have also been busy with ballet, soccer, and swimming lessons.  We did a few trips to pumpkin patches - Kuiper's Farm and Jonamac Orchard - like we do every year.  Some of us aren't looking forward to winter (Mama!), but some of us are (Madison & Caleb).  Check back closer to Christmas for more photos.

We've been so busy!  Preschool started on September 11.  We've also started ballet (Madison) and soccer (Caleb) once again, although no pictures yet.  We've visited Blackberry Farm and the Kohl Children's Museum, gone to a Train concert, gone to see Disney on Ice, and gone to the circus.  There's also a few pictures here from Madison's fairy class at the Arboreteum and pictures from our vacation to Saugatuck, Michigan.  Busy summer, but we've created so many good memories.

Summer is in full swing, and we're as active as ever.  Madison got to do a pony class at the park district where she got to take care of the ponies, brush the ponies, and ride them.  Both Madison & Caleb have been taking an art class at the library.  Madison got a new scooter, and Caleb moved up to a bigger size bike.  Pictures of our trip to the zoo are on the pictures page of our website.  We got to visit the dinosaurs there.  Once Caleb realized that they weren't really alive, he loved it.  Madison never quite got the idea that they weren't going to eat her, so she hated it.  For the second half of the summer, we have a few more fun activities planned, and we'll be going to Michigan again in a few weeks too.  Check back for more photos in a few weeks!

OK, it's been awhile since I've updated our site.  Here's what's new.  Of course, our recent trip to Disney.  There are only a few photos of Caleb because he decided that posing with characters was not cool.  There are also photos of an outing to the arboretum, Caleb at his baseball class, and Madison's first ballet recital in March.  I'll try to not go so long next time before updating!!

Check out new Christmas pictures, ballet pictures, and snow pictures.  Also, Caleb has really gotten into building things lately.  I have highlighted just a few of his creations on our picture page.  He makes at least 2 creations per day, always with little to no help from anyone else.  He's very creative.

Madison is getting ready for her ballet recital next month, and Caleb will start baseball next week.  They are also looking forward to their birthday in March!!

Check out new pictures of Madison's ballet class, visiting with Santa Claus, and trick-or-treating for Halloween this year.  Only 3 more days 'til Christmas!

New & updated photos!  It's October '08 now.  New pictures include Madison's gymnastics class, Caleb's soccer class, and visits to Kuiper's Farm, Morton Arboretum, and Starved Rock.

New pictures include ones from our vacation to Saugatuck in July.  We got a lot of time to play on the beach and make new friends, which seems to be Madison's newest hobby.  We also went on the Dune Rides, and you'll want to check out our action shots of this ride.

We've added pictures from Madison's ballet class to the website.  She'll take a break from ballet to do gymnastics this summer.  Caleb started his soccer class this past Thursday, and he had a blast!

(If you can't see Madison in the ballet pictures, try clicking on the "larger" button to make the picture bigger.)

New to our website...photos of us with our birthday present, the John Deere Gator. At first, we were scared of it.  Madison got to drive it first, and she drove right into the garage door.  This made Caleb decide that he didn't want to have anything to do with the Gator until Mom bribed him with a lollipop to get him back in it.  Everything's cool now, though.  They love taking it to the park, even if Caleb doesn't totally trust Maddie's driving.

We also have photos from our trip to Wisconsin Dells.  Our favorite thing was the waverunners, shown in the photos.

We've also graduated to big kid bikes with training wheels.  We are having fun riding them all over our neighborhood.  And another thing we're into...looking for ants!  We love to find them and stomp on them, even if Mom tells us not to.

When you check back next, there should be new photos from Madison's dance class.  This summer, Caleb will be taking soccer and Madison will do gymnastics.  We're also going to take swimming lessons.  It's gonna be a fun summer for sure!

MORE BIRTHDAY PICTURES TO COME!!!  We are not technologically hip, so we don't use a digital camera.  Once we develop the film in our camera, we'll post more photos of the bithday party and our birthday trip to Wisconsin Dells!  Keep checking back!

We turned 3 on March 27!  Yea!!  We had a good time seeing all of our family at our birthday party.  And then, last week, Daddy and Mommy took us to Wisconsin Dells to an indoor waterpark.  Caleb is a daredevil and enjoyed going down the big covered slides that only big kids go down.  Maddie was a little more hesitant, but she found plenty that she enjoyed, like the purple waverunners that squirted water at her brother, and the mini waterslides.

Caleb started his sports class with Dad last Saturday.  He learned how to play soccer, and he's really good!!  Madison starts her dance class this coming Saturday, and she's so excited!

Well, it's almost Christmas now, and we're excited about that, even if we already know what we're getting from Santa!  Santa has brought a gift to Mommy and Daddy in that we're both potty-trained now!  We're still enjoying school twice a week, where we play with toys and make crafts for Mom and Dad.  Oh, and check out our pictures from Halloween this year.  We had such a good time trick or treating.  Caleb sprayed everyone in his skunk outfit, and Maddie clucked at everyone.

Well, it's October now, and we're excited about going Trick or Treating.  Caleb's going to be a skunk, and Maddie's going to be a chicken!  Hopefully Mom and Dad won't eat all of our candy this year!  Our big news these days is that Madison is wearing Big Girl Underwear now.  She picked out ones with Dora the Explorer and My Little Pony.

Our new adventures lately have included...a train excursion, a trip to the ER, and starting "school."  1st the ER...  Being the rambunctious boy that he is, Caleb hit his head on the train table at home and split his forehead open.  He had to get 5 stitches.  He was so brave and didn't even cry when she stitched him up.  And he says it was worth it because he got ice cream on the way home that night.

Next, the train excursion...  On one of Daddy's days off, we took the train from the Aurora station to the Downer's Grove station, where we ate at 2 Toots.  At this restaurant, a miniature train delivers your food to your table.  Then, we walked to a nearby park to play, ate ice cream, and rode the train back to the Aurora station.  Both of the kids loved this adventure.

And, for school...  Madison and Caleb have started a Mom's Day Out program at Geneva Lutheran Church two mornings per week.  They love it.  They get to play with friends, eat lunch there, and have fun.

We had a fun summer with lots of stuff going on.  We went to camp in Saugutuck, Michigan like we do every summer.  This was our 3rd year, and we enjoyed it more than ever now that we're so independent.  We even slept in big kid beds there!  We also got a tour of the fire station from daddy's friend, Firefighter Andy, went to the zoo three times, played at the sprinkler park, and took a park district class with mom and dad.  We're done with our cribs (cribs are for BABIES!), and we're learning to use the potty.  In a few weeks, we're going to start going to school two days a week too!
