Amber has been enjoying the Summer time. She has gone swimming a bunch of times and has been having fun with her friends, and at school. On the 16th of this month I get to go to my very first Teacher/ Parent conference to see how Amber has done all school year, and I get to find out what to expect for her next school year. As happy as I am to do this, I am also saddend by the fact that this means she is growing more and more and will no longer be a little Minnow, but we look forward to her becoming either a Starfish or Angelfish. Jacob turned 4 months old on the Fourth of July and began eating his rice cereal. So far he really likes this alot. He is becoming such a wiggly bug. Everytime you put him down, he is on his stomach, and is trying to scoot. Jacob is trying to hold his own bottles now, and actually has a couple of times on the smaller sized bottles, he is also starting to sit up alittle when he is in his boucing chair. He will lean forward and grab and his bird and monkey and hold on to them while in the sit up position. I think he will be an early bird on things just like Amber was. Jacob has also gone swimming too, and really seems to enjoy this activity with sissy.
3-14-08 Jacob lost his embillical cord today, 10 days old. 3-22-08 Jacob wore his first size 1 diaper today, Amber got 6 eggs at the Easter Egg hunt downtown. 3-24-08 Jacob went for his 2 week apt today and at 20 days old he is weighing 9 pounds and 8 oz's. He is also 21.85 inches long. The doctor told me he is in the 80 percential group in weight, which is funny because Amber has always been in the 20 percantial weight group. Jacob is going to be a big one. 3-26-08 Jacob rolled over from his tummy to his back today, 22 days old. Amber went on her first class field trip. 3-28-08 Jacob smiled his first real smile today (not the gas bubble smile) 24 days old. 4-15-08 Jacob slept in his crib for the first time. 5-5-08 Jacob had his 2 month appointment today, he now weights 12 lbs 9 oz's and is 24 inches long. Dr. Tsao said Jacob looks very healthy and is doing great. Jacob also got his first round of vaccinations today, he did ok but fussed for sure. 5-12-08 Jacob has been batting at objects and starting to hold things too. He is also starting to do alittle more scooting and rolling while doing tummy time. 6-24-08 Jacob has been rolling over from tummy to back and from back to tummy. This is his new full time activity. As soon as you put him on his tummy, he is on his back as soon as he is placed on the ground. He is also starting to try to scoot and is wanting to get the toys placed in front of him. 7-4-08 Jacob had rice cereal for the first time. He is also starting to sit up while in his bouncer chair and has been beginning to scoot around on the floor. WHEN YOU STOP BY, SAY "HI" BY SIGNING OUR GUESTBOOK!!!!! ...continue story 5-25-08 Jacob has been fussy and chewing on his hands alot lately. Bob and I felt in his mouth and we can feel some sharp stuff on the top. We are thinking that Jacob is getting ready to cut teeth maybe within the next month or so, we will have to see. Amber cut her first teeth at 5 months, but teethed for about 2 to 3 months prior to her teeth coming through. We will see what happens with Jacob ...continue story 3-29-08 Amber had her birthday party today. She had alot of her friends, and cousins come. They got to have pizza, cake, and Amber got alot of great presents. Bob and I can't believe that our little girl is going to be 3. ...continue story 3/26/08 Today Amber got to go on her first field trip with her school. I got to join the Minnow class and come along. We went to the Field of Greens, which is a small little farm right off of Watmaugh. Amber got to pet a pig, and a goat. We also got to see the chickens, baby chicks, and some sheep. ...continue story 3-22-08 Today we took Amber downtown to do the Easter Egg Hunt. When we got down there we ran into Cousin Sydney and Austin. Amber and Sydney got to do there egg hunt together which was so much fun for the girls. Amber did a great job searching for eggs and got 6 eggs total. ...continue story 3-18-08 Amber went to school yesterday and when we got in to her classroom there was green glitter all over. It was along the ground, in the cubbies, on the tables and a little trail of green glitter right out the back door. I asked the teacher if there was a leprechaun in the room and she said the Minnow class did indeed have a leprechaun visit the classroom, and sneak out right before the kid ...continue story
