Hello everyone we hope you all had a good Christmas and an even better New Year. We made it through our first Christmas with absolutely no one getting sick even now, knock on wood. The kids had a blast and both were really good throughout the whole four day week of festivities. Nick was almost tired of opening presents by Saturday at Pat's mom's but he played with all the kids and Halle actually allowed others to hold her which lately has been a challenge since she has become a real momma's girl. Santa was so good to both kids and Nick received alot of cool new toys as you can see by the pictures. He doesn't know which to play with most of the time. Halle of course was oblivious to it all and just sat around looking adorable. Nick spent the night at my mom's last night and enjoyed it according to my mom so last night we took Halle out to dinner to Outback and had a nice quiet relaxing dinner. Tonight we are just chillin at home and my mom is coming over and she cooked some good food so we hope everyone has a good New Year and hopefully very prosperous. Don't forget to put money outside before midnight.
Enjoy the pictures of our new niece Genevieve who by the way looks so much like her daddy Vince that she sorta looks like a boy but she is a girl. We went to the hospital on Wednesday to visit and she was so tiny compared to Halle. She was sleepy though. We went today over to their house so Pat could see her and her eyes were open and boy she is a cutey. Her cry is so cute she sounds like a little lamb because it has a quiver to it. We are so happy for you guys and enjoy every moment.
Comments That's funny about the little lamb thing because Kira was the same way and whenever she cried Karley would say "here come the sheep!" - Kim
Hey everyone, Congratulations are in order for Vince and Lee who as of 4:04am this morning gave birth to a baby girl Genevieve Brianna (Genny), 7lbs 4oz with alot of dark hair. Hopefully the kids will cooperate meaning Nick and we can go visit them today. Nick had a good weekend on Sunday I took the kids with my mom to the annual American Legion Christmas Party. Nick had fun they had a magician which Nick actually sat with the rest of the kids and watched for about 20 minutes until he got bored. We ate cookies and drank juice. Both kids also received presents from Santa which were really nice. Nick got a train with a mat that has a track on it that he can trace which he loves trains so that made his day and Halle got a grow with me giraffe. It is like a rocking horse thing. Nick however wouldn't sit on Santa's lap go figure. We are all ready for Christmas though and ready for Santa.
Well we have had a busy weekend and week. Last weekend Pat and I visited Uncle Jarod and Aunt Jenn and Braden in Columbus and on Saturday we went on the Polar Express train ride. It was nice at least the kids enjoyed it. However I suggest you are dressed very warm because the train has no heat. It was snowy and we were late for the 2:00 ride because of the roads and accidents so we called ahead and booked the 4:00 one which with kids that was difficult. However it all worked out and the kids for the most part with the exception of a few breakdowns were good. Nick loved the train and loved the whistle. He kept on saying choo choo over and over again. Halle just hung out on my lap and napped a little but she was good also with the exception with on the way home she was hungry and cried for about a hour until she fell asleep. It was just really cold and snowy. Cute little town though. Nick and I finally finished decorating for Christmas last night. It took forever for me to do it this year.
Hello everyone, just a short note. Halle had her 4 month checkup today and what a little piggy she weighs 11lbs, 5oz but is only 24inches. She is only 1/4 inch smaller than Nick was at 4 months. But is still a peanut maybe she is going to be a fat peanut, ahh how cute that would be. She got two shots and her oral rotovirus vaccine this time. She did better this time. She didn't cry after the first shot at all but after the second one which burned she only cried about 20 seconds. She was cranky most of the day today probably because her legs were sore. No fever though. Pat was a sweetie and stayed up and watched Nick until I got back so I wouldn't have to deal with both kids. I really appreciate that. The doctor did say she is a little advanced because she plays with her feet when she is sitting up and usually that is a 6 month skill. She can also roll from back to stomach and stomach to back which is also a 6 month trait. Maybe I am going to have a strong willed girl on my hands, Oh boy!!!!!
Oh FYI, I forgot to mention I took the kids to see Santa about 2 weeks ago and what a disaster. Nick was afraid to sit on his lap so just to get a picture good old sport mommy had to sit with him. Halle loved it she was smiling away almost the whole time and he was a good Santa too. I look so great and festive with my old jeans and OSU sweatshirt on, no makeup but I do think I managed to remember to run a brush through my hair that day before we left the house. The kids got their Christmas pictures taken at Penney's beforehand and that was a whole other disaster meaning Halle was screaming, Nick wouldn't cooperate and sit with his sister to get one picture so of course we had to leave and eat lunch then come back. The pictures turned out decent. AHHHHH
Well last week sucked, we all had the flu and different kinds at different times. Nick had it last Sunday and Monday with throwing up and he is just getting his appetite back. Pat got the same thing last Wednesday and part of Thanksgiving but what a trooper he ate anyway. I got the nasty number 2 the day after Thanksgiving and my mom and me were supposed to go to a movie too, go figure nothing works out the way you want it to. Halle thank God came out of all this with a little cough and cold. I must be superwoman though because I got the house cleaned and food prepared with a couple of sick kids and hubby. We are going this weekend to Columbus and on Saturday with Jenn, Jarod and Braden on the Polar Express ride to meet Santa so that should be fun. Halle is getting so big and she can now as of today roll from her stomach onto her back now too. When she is sitting either in her swing or is being held she plays with her feet now and it is so cute. She is so much better eating cereal and actually opens up her mouth for it when she sees the spoon coming. I think we will be ready for fruit shortly. She goes to the doctor on Thursday for her 4 month shots, fun I can't wait. Nick is getting bigger and more talkative everyday. He is such a helper in the kitchen. When the buzzer goes off for the oven he grabs my oven mits out and hands them to me. it is so cute.
Hello everyone. Well we made it back from Arizona safe and sound and boy did we have fun. It was so nice and warm in the sun, 85degrees everyday we were there. We layed by the pool two days and we went to Sodona and went on a jeep ride actually up the mountains and down, kinda scary but fun. We ate out alot and drank some of course. We really had a relaxing weekend. The kids were so excited to see us especially Nick he ran and gave me the biggest hug and kiss I felt so good. We missed them and I missed Halle's ear to ear smile the whole time I was gone. We are getting ready for Thanksgiving and Chrsitmas my goodness where does the time go. We took the kids to get their Christmas pictures taken on Friday and that is a task with two kids. Nick was not cooperative when it came to getting his picture taken with his sister so I compromised and did the cards myself this year as all you will see. He wouldn't sit on Santa's lap either but Halle loved him and laughed the whole time. So I had to get in the picture with them so Nick could be in it. Quite comical I should say. Happy Birthday to my dear brother Doug today and Thanks for an awesome time last weekend, love you bro. Oh I started spoon feeding Halle on cereal and she loves it finally as long as it is mixed with formula.
Hey everyone well we can't wait until Thursday, Pat and I leave for Phoenix to visit my brother and we will be taking no kids. The two grandma's are going to be taking turns watching them at our house. We come back on Sunday. We can't wait since things have not been going well at GM. But time will tell. Needless to say I will be going back to work sooner than planned. That is okay though I have been off for more than I thought I would be. Anyway the kids are good and Halle is getting stronger and bigger by the minute. She is a good eater let me tell you. She only naps in her swing and she has been doing better at night sleeping. Last night she went to bed at 8 and woke up at 3:45 to eat. Then fell back to sleep until 8 in the morning. She turns over from her back to her stomach constantly so no more leaving her on changing tables or couches by herself because she will roll off from past experience. Nick is good and talking much more articulately I think. I mean he still talks Japanese when he wants to and only understands himself but it is humorous. Oh well gotta go get some things done.
Happy Halloween everyone. We had a blast trick or treating with Nick last night. He enjoyed it so much more than last year and he walked the whole time without being carried. He said thank you and bye all by himself without being coached, of course I would to if someone was giving me candy. It was hysterical and people had to hand him the candy and he had to put it in his pail himself. Halle even enjoyed the walk and was so good, she never cried once of course a three hour nap prior will do that. We have so much candy though but it is hidden or else Nick would eat it all day. You never thought the kid had chocolate before. Potty training tool this will be more like a bribe I guess.

We are having a nice and relaxing weekend. Happy Birthday to Pat tomorrow the 25th, who still looks as young as when I met him, really. We are going out to dinner just the two of us and I am not telling him where. It is somewhere we have never eaten before so I hope it is good. We are then going to watch OSU beat Penn State hopefully. The kids are good and getting bigger everyday. I hope you all keep warm this weekend.
I just want to say praise the lord there is a God. Halle went to bed at 9:15 last night and woke up at 8:00 this morning, sweet. Now she has done it before but this is the most sleep she has gotten in one night. Almost 11 hours. I feel great.
We had a fun filled weekend. On Friday I took the kids to Whitehouse fruit farm to pick pumpkins and get some fresh cider and donuts which Nick especially loves. We then came home and decorated for Halloween. Nick actually helped and did a good job which is such a change from last year, he is getting so much older and I am not liking it. On Saturday and Sunday since it was nice and sunny out despite the chill in the air the kids and I were outside playing in the leaves and believe it or not I actually enjoyed myself as did Nick. Halle just kinda observed in the stroller in between dosing off. I even put her in the pile of leaves Nick was playing in. She didn't care for it too much. Halle is getting so big and she can almost roll all the way over from her back to stomach. Her arm gets in the way and she can't make it over the hump. She is so squirmy and mobile as you will see while she is on her activity mat. Pat worked all weekend unfortunately so it was just me and the kids. We had fun though. Also Congrats to Jenn and Jarod who announced a few weeks ago that they are expecting another little bundle of joy sometime next May. All these kids keep coming, I love it..
Well we have been quite busy since I last wrote. Halle was baptized on Saturday at Holy Family in Poland which was the same place nick was. We had fun and we only had immediate family afterwards at the house for lunch this time around. It was a beautiful day and the kids were able to play outside on the swingset which was nice. On Sunday was Lee's baby shower at Cyndi's house. It was fun and we had a very good catered brunch from a restaurant in the Poland library she got lots of new neat things and we can't wait for the second baby girl argiro to arrive. The week before I cleaned and Pat was also on vacation so we just hung out as a family which is always nice. Halle is getting so big and is laughing now especially when you tickle her on her belly, she loves that. Oh and Hallelua she is sleeping through the night mostly everynight now. Her first time was last Wednesday and she went to bed at 9:30 and woke up at 5:45 to eat then she went back to bed until 8:00. Then last night she went to bed at 8:00 and woke up at 6:00 which I am lovin let me tell you. Now if only our 2 year old could do that I would be in heaven. I think that is good for her being 12 weeks old tomorrow. Nick said something funny this morning which he has said before but I keep forgetting to share it with you. He was whining for something and you know how we love the whining so I asked him if he wanted some cheese with that wine and he answered okay.
Hello, well all is well here but we have had a busy and productive week. My friend Missy came in for a couple of days with her two kids from Michigan and we had a blast. We went to the Animal Park on Tuesday and once again Nick loved it. Emma, Noah and Nick fed and pet so many animals. We then went later to their hotel and swam at the pool. Nick was scared at first because I tried some water wings on him and he wasn't sure of me letting go. He did okay at first but then he somehow went on his back and went under a bit and swallowed water and that was it we had to take the swimmies off and U had to hold him. Oh well hopefully soon we will be taking swimming lessons soon. We then went to eat Wednesday at Tokyo house and boy it was good as always. Nick was worn out and so was I. It was good to see all of them again. Halle is doing well. She went to the doctors on Thursday for her two month checkup and her shots, yuk. She did well, two shots on one leg and one on the other and then she got an oral vaccine. No fever yet but her legs were so sore last evening and she was cryong alot and of course she wanted to be held all the time. On top of that she has a little bit of a cold. Oh well she is sleeping well at night and that is good for me. She weighs 8lbs, 15oz and is 23inches . She is in the 78th percentile for height but 10th for weight. Nick is talking alot more sentence wise and you can actually understand him. I am no longer worried about his speech it just took him a little bit longer. Pat is good and working alot but he has vacation coming soon again so that is good.
Hello, well Halle is 8 weeks old today and I can't believe how the time has flown by. She is getting so big and plump. The mornings are the best because she is smiling so much and she is refreshed, I can remember when Nick did that too. Pat came home from work this morning and he kneeled by her swing and she gave him the biggest smile I have ever seen and you can tell he was proud. She also smiles at Nick all the time too. She is sleeping close to 6 hours straight at night now. She goes to bed around 9-9:30 and wakes up between 3-4am to eat. I can't wait until she sleeps all night. Nick however is going through his waking up two to three times at night again however, I can't win. I don't know what is going on. His tantrums are getting old too. He is just so impatient and gets frustrated so easy. Halle is actually a better sleeper if you can believe that. We had a good week, my brother and his girlfriend Jessica came in from Arizona for the browns/steelers game since they had tickets and we spent some time with them. We watched the OSU game Saturday night at our house and went out to dinner all together without the kids which was nice. Nick once again had a blast with Doug but was a little jealous of Jess being around him so much however when they went home on Monday Nick finally gave her a hug goodbye. I hope everyone made ith through the hurricane on Sunday. We were without power from 8:30 sunday night until 4:00 monday afternoon. Thank God for the generator we purchased this year. It really came in handy. Enjoy the week, and by the way Pat and I went to eat at Rosetta Stone for our anniversary and I highly recommend it.

Hello everyone, Well it has been a very busy and eventful week. Sunday we had a picnic and boy did Nick have fun playing outside with all the kids on his new swingset. We had fun also visiting with all our family and everyone loved meeting halle. On Monday we went to the Canfield Fair with Aunt Lee, Uncle Vince and kamyron and it was so hot but fun. Nick was pushed in the stroller of course but we enjoyed the fair food and yummy lemon shakes. On Tuesday and Wednesday we just chilled at home because we were exhausted from the weekend and Pat deserved to be a bum on his vacation. Thursday we decided to take the kids on a little drive and go to Pymatuning Deer Park but it was closed and only open on weekends so we took Nick to the spillway and let him see the carp and ducks which he liked. Yesterday we went to Living Treasures animal park in butler and let me tell you it is much better than wagon trails in vienna. They have lions, tigers, monkeys, bears and other animals which you can feed and some to pet. We then went on a safari ride and got to see all the animals closer. Nick loved it and Pat and I had a blast. Halle kinda just hung out in the carrier pack I had around my waste. It is so easy to get there too, all you do is go down 224 east to 422 east then get off the butler exit for 5 miles and it is on your right. It took us 25 minutes. We had a fun week and Nick had fun with Pat. Today is our 5th anniversary and we have a babysitter and are going out to eat somewhere tonight, not sure where but if it is good I will let you know so you guys can try a new restaurant. Halle is getting bigger, i took her to the doctor on Tuesday and she weighs 8lbs, 9oz. I took her because I was still concerned with her breathing and he said she will grow into it and he is calling it trachealmalasia. She sounds like a cricket almost when she in inhales it is high pitched. He said alot of babies have it when they are born and as they develop they will learn to coordinate and grow out of it. She is smiling though and starting to coo it is so cute because she has the softest voice. I think we are going to attempt to put her in her crib tomorrow night because she is sleeping straight 4-5 hours and I think she is ready.
Hey all, Well Nick got his swingset delivered on Monday and boy does he love it. He mostly likes to swing which is what he does in the park all day anyway but it is fun because I can play on it and it holds me. It is strong wood I can't remember what kind and it is really fun actually. Nick and I last evening were chasing eachother up and down it and going down the slide. Hopefully the rest of the summer he will be entertained by it because it cost a pretty penny. Halle is doing well also however I think we might have to switch her to Isomil soon since she is getting gassy and fussy with feedings. I will ask the doctor today since I have to take Nick for his last shot, that should be interesting since he hasn't had one since he was 18 months. I will let you know how that goes.
Hey everyone, well Halle is 4 weeks now and more alert everyday it seems. She responds to loud noises and screaming especially by her brother. I can't get over how much head control she has already. Nick wants to hold her all the time and fed her a bottle yesterday and was so proud of himself after she was done. There was only a few drops left so i let him finish it. She loves to stare at him also as you will see in one of the pictures. We are all good here and looking forward to Labor Day weekend. Pat has vacation for 10 days so it should be fun.
Hey everyone. just a quick note to catch everyone up. Halle is 3 weeks and 4 days old now and boy she is moving around alot, I mean squirming alot. She moves her head up and down and left to right when she is up on your shoulder and she does it so well. She smiled for the first time this morning at me as I was talking to her and I tell you it just brought tears to my eyes because it is the most precious sight. She actually slept last night for a full 4 straight hours and I was shocked when I woke up at 3am to feed her and we went to bed at 11pm. She likes to sleep hmmm another trait of her daddy's go figure. She is more alert everyday and is awake for about 3-4 hours at a time during the day mostly. She even has Nick's fake cry already and it is something you have to experience for yourself. Nick is doing so well with her like giving her her binky when I ask him to or he will push her in the swing when she is crying. He is very comforting to her. Pat and I are doing well also. I am finally getting my energy back and getting stuff done around the house finally. We went on Friday and purchased Nick's jungle gym and it should be here next week and I can't wait for him to finally have something to do in the yard. Nick deserves it.
