Stories 10/5/05 Well, it sure has been a long while for a story!! As you can see by the pics, Aubrey had her first Homecomming Parade, Game and Dance! We all had so much fun yesterday! It all started around 8:30am... both of the girls were in the parade. Alexis is on the dance team at the Middle School and they participated too. Aubrey's cheer team walked in the parade and then off to the game against the Mt. Clemens Bathers! Unfotunately, we lost 27 to 28 but what a good game! Aubrey did great in all of the cheers and she was exhausted by the end of the game. We got home ate a little and then Katie (Aub's friend) came over to get her hair done!! I spent a couple of hours doing the girls hair and they both turned out great! Aubrey went to the dance, and she qutoe "Danced with sooo many people!!" Katie's Mom dropped a load of kids off at Big Boy to "meet up" with everyone else and then Michael and Shari picked them up, brought them to our house where they spent the rest of the evening enjoying a beautifully lit backyard (tiki torches and a Bon Fire) with hot cider, hot cocoa and smores!! Everyone was picked up at 1:30am!! What a fun night!! I had fun too, can ya tell!?! I am so proud of Aubrey this year, she is really keeping her grades up and her friends are great too! Thank God! Oh, Addison is doing wonderful by the way! Alexis and Adam are great too! Everything is moving as fast as expected! Love to everyone, Connie! 5/24/08 Hello everyone! I am sorry that so much time has gone by with out updating! We have been busy around here. Addison Update.... She is doing pretty good these days, she says a handful of words and her favorite is "Oats...GET DOW"! all while pointing her finger and bunching up her eye brows!! She is telling the cat "Otis" to get down from where ever he is (usually on the table!) we just crack up, it never seems to get old!! She says Alexis very well, for Adam she says Nadam and poor Aubrey does most of the sibling care and she will not say Aubrey or anything of the sorts!! Aubrey is good about not having hurt feelings though! Our little sweetie is still not walking. In due time. I'll keep you posted! The Big Kids.... you can see by the pictures that Aubrey went to the Formal Dance at school!! She was so beautiful that day. Aubrey is doing well in school, she is struggling in math a bit but she is working hard to get her grade up! I just recieved a wonderful letter from one of Aubrey's teachers letting me know how great she is doing in her writing class. I really love this school district, they are so good about letting the parents know when the kids are doing GREAT!! Alexis is doing well in school also! She too is struggling in math but she is working hard to get her grade up! Alexis is on Track and last week she won first place for the girls!!! She is awesome in sports, that girl can play anything! She is so sweet. Adam is done with bowling and now he is playing baseball for the City of Warren with a couple of his buddies from school! He is such a good help with Addiosn and she sure does love her big brother!! They are too cute together! Adam is doing wonderful in school. Good boy he is! Mike and I.... Michael is working on the basement at present! WOO HOO!! So far the stud walls are up and he has busted up the basement floor where our beautiful new full bathroom will be!! He has been working so hard the last couple of days getting concrete poured and all that carpenter stuff!! For Mother's Day he bought me (and even suprised me) a beautiful Mother's ring with all 4 of the kids birth stones in it. Isn't he wonderful! I started my new job at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak and I love it!! I work on the Family Birth Center floor (Labor and Delivery!) My position is called a "Scrub Tech" so basically I scrub into C-Sections and set the OR up for surgery and assist the Attending and Residents with all of the insturments for the section. So in the movies when you hear the Dr. say "Scalpel" that's me!! Alright, that's about it for us so stay tuned...... All for now, Connie 3/20/08 Hi everyone! First, sorry about all of the emails that the web page was updated! I have been trying to do a little at a time updating the pics and the website automatically sends out an update email to everyone on the list! Addison is 1 year old! Her birthday party went absolutley great! The turn out was amazing! You can tell by the pics that it was a Pink and Brown Party! The guest of honor matched the party with her brown and pink polka dot dress, pink tights with a pair of brown and pink sandles! I made sure she had enough rest before the party started and she did as well as I had hoped she would! We opened a Michigan Education Savings Program for her and she recieved a generous amount from everyone to get it started! Addison's 1 year Dr. appt. is on Monday, so I will have an update for everyone next week sometime! Thanks for checking in on us! Talk to you soon! Now we are gearing up for Aubrey's 14th Birthday!! I can't believe that she is going to be 14 on Saturday! She is so beautiful and such a good girl! We are really proud of her. Aubrey's grades are wonderful and she is a huge help around here! Her Dad is throwing her birthday party at his house this year! How fun! He has a new house not far from us with a "Gynormous" basement (perfect for 15 girls to have a slumber party in!) Aub is very excited about this weekend! Feel free to post a "Happy Birthday" to her in the guestbook, she'll love it! Love , Connie xo 03/13/08 Hi everyone! Hope you like the new pictures! We are getting ready for the big day around here! Be on the look out for Addison's Birthday pics! Hope all is well with everyone, Connie 2/26/08 Hi everyone! No new pics to share. I didn't like the website style so I had to change it! False alarm! Nothing new! Til next time, Con- 2/22/08 Hi everyone! I know, it's about time, I hear ya! Here it goes... Addison update.. she weighs only 17lbs 3 oz! Dr. still says she is just fine! She has four teeth now (that teething process, wow.) Lot's of fevers, butt rashes and rosie red cheeks. Looks like we are in the clear for a little while anyway. She has been talking up a storm, Mama, Dada, Babba, Cat, Nadam (aka..Adam!) that one caught us by suprise. She knows a few signs, and she can dance! So sweet. Big kids update..... The girls are doing great in school and they are on the dance team! I have video, so if you are over I'll pop it in for ya, so cute! They look great out there dancing. Both girls have alot of friends, so they are usually out doing stuff like ice skating, roller skating or movies! Adam just turned 9! He is really doing awesome in school. He is still bowling and loving it! I think they/we are all waiting for Spring to get here! Connie and Mike update.... Mike has been working is fingers to the bone lately. The other day, he went in at his usual time 6:30/7:00am and worked until 11:45pm. That is a 17 hour day. Thankfully his boss understood when he said that he wasn't going in the next day! Back to it on Monday. The good thing is that he is working . So many people are getting laid off these days. (nice seg way into the next part of conversation...) I was let go from AAA in the begining of Feb. the company let go 240 at that time and it sounds like they may not be done yet. They are letting all of us work until the end of this month (Feb. 29th) so I am still there. This week is my last week. I am okay now. I interviewed at Beaumont Hosp. a week ago and I am waiting to hear form them soon hopefully. So keep that one in your prayers. I am really enjoying coaching the girls dance team! Sometimes I feel a bit overwhelmed with work, the kids and the extra commitment of the team but I really love it. I have a great bunch of girls :) We are working on the basement again! Maybe this time it will get finished?! We'll see. Til next time, Connie xoxo 12/10/07 Hi everyone! We can't wait for Christmas! This is Addison's first Christmas and we are having so much fun with her. The kids are all geared up of course! I still haven't really started my shopping yet! I know, I know but I haven't had the time! I'm hoping to get our cards out soon! Quick Addison update...she has two teeth and she is starting to crawl!! She fell off the bed tonight (that was my fault....hence.. starting to crawl! :( poor little sweetie) I just left her there having her bottle and went back to the kitchen to start dinner...DUH.... I forget that she is moving all over the place now...okay in my defense I did put pillows all around the bed but obviously they were no match for Addison! Alexis heard her thump and cry and found her at the foot of my bed!! She is just fine, for all of you shaking your heads at me right now...things happen! :) Other than that nothing else going on around here! We hope to see everyone over the next couple of weeks!! Oh... aren't these new pictures too cute? All for now, Connie 12/10/07 Hi everyone! We can't wait for Christmas! This is Addison's first Christmas and we are having so much fun with her. Oh... aren't these new pictures too cute? All for now, Connie 11/28/07 Hi everyone! We hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! We did! On Thanksgiving Day we went to Papa Dix and Grandma Debbie's house for dinner. We had a nice time with everyone over there. Addison had some sweet potatoes! (not the baby food kind!) she loved them! The kids had a good time seeing their cousins and Addison got to meet them for the first time! On Sunday, we had our Thanksgiving dinner at home with Great Grandma Bearde, Grandma Pam, Aunt Annie and Aunt Sue! We had the traditional turkey dinner and it turned out perfect! Grandma Pam came over early and made some pretty awesome stuffing! and helped me out with the rest of the dinner. Addison news..... little sweetie hasn't been feeling very well lately :( For the last couple of weeks she has had a cold and she has been sooooo FUSSY, mostly because of the cold and she is teething! I thought maybe she had an ear infection, but I took her to the Dr. and the Dr. said no ear infection, although she does have 5 possible 6 teeth coming in at once!! OUCH, poor baby. No wonder she has been so miserable. I am so used to her being happy and easy to please, but those teeth are really bothering her. Seems like she is getting better though. I hope she begins to eat a little better. She really should be eating atleast 8 oz bottles 4x a day, but we are lucky if she eats a 6oz bottle 3 or 4x a day. She does eat pretty well at breakfast, lunch and dinner, but she does NOT like any of the chicken dinners!! I try to disquse them with some tasty fruits or something fun, but she is too smart! Addison will take the spoon away from you and throw it! Fun for the baby, not the Mama or the Dada! :) Enjoy some of our newest photos! And be sure to sign her guestbook, we still love reading all of the comments!! All for now, Connie 11/10/07 Hi there! Well as you can see by the Halloween pictures we had a great time! The Saturday before Halloween, the City of Warren hosted "Trunk or Treating" at the City's Parking Garage! The kids had a great time and we were able to have Alexis and Adam for some trick or treating fun (it was their Mom's turn this year to take them out). On Halloween night, Michael took Aubrey and a couple of girlfriends out trick or treating and our little "Pumpkin" was right along with them! She had so much fun. Mom and Grandma Bearde (aka, GG... Great Grandma) came over to have dinner and help pass out candy, doughnuts and cider! Addison is teething, I don't see any teeth just yet, but she is sooo crabby and rosey cheeked! Other than that she is doing well. The Holidays are fast approaching! We hope to see everyone soon. Lot's of love, Connie 10/23/07 Hello everyone! It's been a long time since the last update! Addison is doing wonderful. As you can see in some of the pictures, she is sitting up without assistance now. Addison says a few words, Mama, Dada, and the newest is Hi!! Cute story, I came in from work and picked her up and in a very high pitched voice I said a few times " Hiiiii" and she just smiled and smiled. A while later I took her into the kitchen and she saw the cat mosey on by and she looked down got really excited and said in the same voice.. " Hiiiii " I cracked up! Too cute! She weighs about 14lbs. and is 27 or so inches long!! Still skinny! Dr. says she is doing great. Shannon says that she does really good at her house while I'm at work. That is going really good by the way! I love being back. Halloween is next week, so I will take more pictures and post them... wait til you see her in her costume! I think that about wraps it up on our end for now. Talk to you soon, Connie 9/19/2007 Hello everyone! Wow, I can't beleive that fall is here already! A few changes and events to share.... Addison is 6 months old now!! She is doing great! She weighs 13 lbs and 4oz and she is 27 1/2 inches long!! Dr. says not to worry so much about her weight and that she is just fine!! She is 95th percentile for her length and only 20th percentile for her weight. Long and skinny! (everyone knows I like 'em fat) but I'm not going to worry too much! Addison is the happiest baby. She sleeps great (for the most part anyway) and she is eating fruits, veges, and cereal now and she LOVES it. Still haven't heard the magic words mama or dada yet but she talks up a storm! (babbling of course) Michael and I just had our 2nd Anniversary and we went up to Mackinaw for the weekend! We took "Oopsie Poopsie" with us and she was wonderful. We stayed in a B&B and the Inn Keepers said that little Addie was welcomed to come back anytime! We had a great time together, Michael and I needed that time away! News to share... I am excited to say that I am going back to work!! Woo Hoo! I can't wait! I'm going back part time, that will work so well for me. My sister is going to watch Addison for the first couple of weeks so that Addison can get used to the routine! Also, I am going to coach Aubrey and Alexis' Dance Team this year! It's only about 10 weeks or so! The best part is that the girls WANTED me to do it!! :) for those of you that have never experienced what it's like to be around teenage girls.... usually, they don't want you to even look in their direction when it comes to friends and school! But... I'm in!! :) Well, I beleive that's all for now, take a look at some of our new photos and be sure to sign the guest book!! Connie 8/10/07 Summer is starting to wind down now....Back To School for the big kids, they go back the day after Labor Day (only 25 more days...but who's counting? :) We have been doing a little school shopping the last week or so. I'm getting so excited, can you tell? It will be nice to get back on a schedule around here. I think Addsion will miss the kids when they go back though. She LOVES every bit of the attention that they give her! She is just mezmorized by them. She is really starting to laugh and play now. If she gets fussy the kids have found the way to get her to calm down, they sing the ABC's to her and no matter what Addsion will stop in her tracks and give the biggest smiles (until they stop singing of course!) She has been eating cereal now for the last 2 weeks and she is loving every bite of it! She's even starting to get a bit chunky now! It cracks me up when I am getting ready to feed her the cereal she knows exactly what's about to go on and she gets so excited, she starts squeeling and kicking her feet! She is getting much better about "Tummy Time" and she is rolling over from her back to her front without any troubles. She babbles on and on and on and on! One of the things that I love so much about Addison is that she absolutley has to have quiet time, and she only wants to be held when she wants to be held and that's it! Independant already! That's the way I like 'em :) As for me, I miss work, and I love being home, such a dilema :) Really I think it's the structure of working and the people I worked with (and I'm not just saying that because most of them are on this email list either hee, hee ;-) I feel kind of out of the loop and sometimes that is a bit unsettling, but I just roll with it, squeeze and kiss that baby and before you know it I feel much better! :) All for now, Connie 7/12/07 We have a new addition to the family!! Auntie Shannon had baby Caleb on June 28th!! He is so sweet! We all had a very nice Baby Shower for Auntie Shannon and Uncle Chris and Caleb was the guest of honor!! Shannon did so good, she had the baby on the 28th and still attended the Shower on the 30th, wow that's what I call bouncing back quick! They were tired but managed to stay for the duration and then some. I think these two little ones are going to be pretty close to one another! Shannon said that she had a web page for Caleb too, so I will get that from her and I will try to figure out how to add her link to this web page?! All for now Connie 7/9/07 Summer vacation is here! It's been over a month since the last update..sorry about that! We have been staying very busy so far this summer. We just got back last night from Addison's first vacation! We went up to Hale, Mi (close to Rose City) and stayed with Jim and Dawn at their Awesome! cottage on Long Lake. It was tons of fun with them like always! Then off to Port Ausitn, Mi. We stayed in a cute little house right in town really close to the water. Addison travels VERY well! I am so proud of her! Even though our surroundings were changing every few days, she just went with the flow! In fact all 4 of the kids did great! We had a great time together. Addison is getting so big, I'm not sure exactly how much she weighs now but I know it's over 11 or 12 lbs!! We go to the Dr. for her 4 month check up next week so I will put another update on he site with all of her stats! We hope you are having a good summer too! Til next time, Connie 5/28/07 Okay! Big news, if you haven't already heard....I get to stay home with Addison! I am so happy! I have prayed so many nights since I had the baby for peace with going back to work, the thought of it the day I had her made me upset. Then it really just came to me that maybe I didn't have to go back! After mulling it over a few hundred times in my head I decided to let Michael in on all of my thoughts! Um... let's just say that he was pretty aprehensive at first but we worked out the numbers and it looks like we will be just fine for now. I told work last week that I was quitting and that was hard for me to do, but all I have to do is take one look at that sweet baby's face and I know we made the right decision! I am so blessed to have such an amazing husband and family, to have the opportunity to stay home with all 4 of the kids couldn't make me happier. This is what I think God has put on my heart to do for now and I am going to do it with Intention, and Love and Grace. All for now, Connie
5/18/07 Wow, Addison is 2 months old today!!! As you can see by the pics she is really getting so big. She had her 2 month Dr. appt yesterday and she had to get 4 shots in her little legs :( I hate that, but she did okay. She was pretty fussy all evening and her legs are still a bit tender but she is MUCH better today! She weighs 9 lbs. 12oz and she is 24 inches long now! Addison smiles so big now and she carries on conversation with a lot of cooing! She gets cooing so loud that I think sometime a word is going to pop right out! I'm still waiting for her first laugh, seems like it will be coming soon. She is holding her head up pretty good too! We had our first play date at the Zoo last week with my girlfriend Stacy, her little girl Emma and Sara and her little boy Jack! We had a great time together. Addison does very well outside, I can't wait to get her in our pool this summer! All for now, Connie 4/29/07 What a GREAT couple of weekends! We got to meet our cousin Toni & her sweetie pie Jalen! Addison sure did like visiting with her cousins Jack & Jalen!! It was so fun to have the babies together. Addison and Jack went on a very nice stroller ride together, it was nice for the Mommies to get caught up on "new" and "old" stuff too! When we get together it's like we haven't skipped a beat, I laughed so hard this weekend... I cried! I have some great photos of Jack & Addison on Aunt Debs back deck! They are so sweet, although, while they were laying next to eachother, our little Addy reached right out and gave poor Jack a hair pulling! As you can see Jack is pretty tough looking & that boy didn't even acknowledge that she was yanking on his hair! I wish I had some pics, but I do have it all on video!! Next time you come to visit us, make sure you watch it on our computer! Coming up...... Addison goes to the Dr. this week for her 2nd round of the Hep shot :( , so I will put up another update by the end of the week! (I'm going to talk to the Dr. about all that acne! YIKES) Talk to you soon Connie 4/18/07 Hi everyone! Today Addison is one month old! She had a doctor appt today and she is doing great! I am happy to say that she weighs 8 lb. 2 oz (compliments of the "Chef"!) and she has grown an inch and a quarter! (21 1/2 inches) the doctor says she is doing wonderful :) I love seeing her fill out! (I like 'em chunky!) Addison has been doing great at night, she sleeps for about 3 1/2 hours at a time now! I know, I know, big deal, but let me tell ya 3 1/2 hours is like a full nights sleep around here! The Dr. says that it's okay to just let her sleep through and not to wake her to eat! (yes, I was doing that, I was worried about her weight!) so, I will be letting that little sweetie sleep as long as she wants from now on, Trust me! 13 years and soemone once told me that having another baby that far apart was like riding a bike, it would all come back to me.........um... I think the pedals are missing cuz it ain't all coming back just like that! But we get by and I think I have the hang of it! We are getting very excited for this weekend, my Cousin Artist (from Portland) is coming in with her new baby Son Jack and my Cousin Toni (from Florida) is coming in with her son Jalen! It will be so fun to have all of our babies together! I can't wait! I wanted to tell everyone, thank you for all of those awesome messages on the message board! I will be saving all of this for Addison to have as a keepsake and it really is so great to read everyones messages, it's exciting to see what someone has wrote to us! Keep them coming! Well, everyone is in bed now and I better get some rest before you know who wakes up! Love you Connie xo 4/9/07 Happy Easter!! I think Addison enjoyed her first Easter! We woke up early and did our Easter basket opening and Addison got a Gund Yellow Duckie from the Bunny (aka Auntie Michele!) and a t.y. Beanie Baby Bunny from Grandma Pam! Aubrey opened her basket and she loved that the Bunny got her some sewing stuff and a couple yards of "cool" material! Then we went to Church and our little sweetie only hollered out twice the entire service, the Pastor never even flinched! I had only a small window of opportunity to nurse Addison before we went to the Club (where we got married) to meet Aunt Deb, Uncle Mike, Alexis and Grandma Pam for our Easter dinner! Yummy! Michael and I stayed at the Church well after everyone left and I nursed her right there in the Auditorium! That was different :) While we were at the Club we played pass the baby a few minutes and then back to sleep she went! We all had a great afternoon! Alexis and Adam came back home from their Mom's house later in the evening and we celebrated Easter basket opening with them, they loved what the Bunny left them! I hope everyone had a nice Easter! All for now, Connie xo
