I went for a 3D ultrasound on November 18th to see if I could find out a little early what we are having, and I was in luck, we found out we are expecting a little boy. His name will be Troy Lee Benson, thats the name Kurt has had picked out since we were 16. Well little troy is already pretty adorable, I got to watch him stretch out and move around, he was even sucking his thumb. Im getting very excited to have him, I just have alot to do to prepare for him. For the most part I have been feeling good, just pretty tired all the time, I was hoping to get some energy back once I hit my second trimester but hasnt happened yet. I have my 20 week ultrasound scheduled for December 18th, so we will be able to confirm that day that he is still a boy. Not sure what Im going to do if they say its a girl, Kurt will be heartbroken because he is excited to have his little boy finally.

 

We also celebrated Hailey's 2nd birthday on Halloween this year with a little costume party. She was dressed as a little white tiger. It went real good and she got alot of fun stuff, she got a new jacket from her great grandma, a couple outfits and a hat and glove set for the winter from grandma and grandpa Benson, she also got an adorable pink and brown leopard print  hat with a matching purse and gloves from Jolene, Jenni, and Steph, she puts the hat on all the time and walks around with her purse. She also got alot of bath stuff from everyone else, that she enjoyed very much, couldnt get her out of the bath after her party. We ended the day with passing out candy to trick or treaters until Hailey finally passed out on the floor at 7. So all in all, it was a great day, and thanks to everyone that helped celebrate with her.

I had my 12 weeks check up appt yesterday. I got another ultrasound, sorry no pics, because I was hospitalized a couple weeks ago for a very severe ear infection, so the doc just checked on the baby. He/She is very cute, actually looks like a baby now. It has very long legs and was bouncing all around. So the baby is very healthy, heart rate was 160. I have my next appt at 16 weeks on Nov 20th, and then I went ahead and scheduled a 3D ultrasound on Nov 24th to hopefully find out what Im having that day.

Hailey is still same old Hailey...keeping mom very busy!!! Her birthday is on the 30th and we are having her party on the 31st so I have alot to get done in the next couple days. I cant believe she is going to be 2 already!!! :(

I will update again if anything new happens, otherwise it will be after my next appt/ultrasound.

Welcome to our new site. We are expecting a new baby May 9, 2010 (Mother's Day) and thought that this would be a good way to keep our family and friends updated on this pregnancy, Hailey Marie, and anything new and fun going on with the Benson family.

We found out we are expecting another little baby on August 27th. We have been trying since January, so we were both very excited. I had an early ultrasound on September 14th and was only about 6 weeks and 2 days along, but the baby was growing right on track and the heartbeat was 123. Today was my 1st OB appt and I got to have another little peak at the baby and he/she is growing great and very healthy. Im 8 weeks and 2 days along and baby is measuring 8 weeks 6 days, with a heart beat of 173!!  So at this point everything is going great and we are getting excited for May of next year. My next appt is not for another 4 weeks so there will be another update then.

Now its time to plan Hailey's 2nd Birthday!!! I cant believe it, she is getting so big so fast.
