8/24/07    we had a doctor appointment yesterday.  Nancy came with us, here birthday was yesterday also.  Ali had another round of shots and did wonderful.

Her measurments are; head 40cm, 25%, weight 13.7 lbs, 50%, and legnth 25 1/2 in, 90%.  So we have an average health baby girl.  She has been rooling everywhere and now her new thing is to talk.  in the evening she will talk and coo non-stop.  really quite cute.  Loves to watch the kids run around and take walks in the evening with me and a friend.  Everything else has been great and can't wait to see daddy at his first Varsity  football game of the season tonight at the school.   We still havent come up with anything to wear yet.  So wish him LUCK for the season.  Talk to you all later.  Heidi

8-16.  she found her feet.  last night we were getting ready for her bath when found her feet and would not let them go.  earlier in the day we had socks on her feet and she kept lifting them up t check on them but last night she was grabbing on them.  She was laying in the bed last night when we were getting her ready and Drew looks at her and asked when did she grow so big.  We have a 4 month doc check on Aug 23. also Nancy's birthday.  Time has just flown but these past 4 months.  She still loves to roll over when ever she can and now she is working on sitting and pushing backwards in her walker.  soon enough we will be posting that she is sitting and crawling on her own.  I hope not to soon though.  ok back to work.  talk to you all later.

8-12-07  well this past weekend my sisters tracy and trista and their two boys came to visit us.  it was a blast having them here and playing with all of the kids.  Last week we officailly moved her to her room.  It took me a little longer than her.  She sleeps from 9/ 930pm to about 5/6am everynight.  she is a great sleeper like her parents.  All else is going great.  Hope all is going great for everyone else.  Heidi

8-3  Well all this weekend alicia is going to her first PACKER FAMILY NIGHT.  I will put photos of her up on monday. Talk to you later.

7-31-07   well all morning she was rolling over by herself.  When my parents got there she did a double roll for g.ma berg.  she had a blast this past sunday when we went with g.ma and g.pa berg up to door county.  we even went to penninsula state park.  that was fun. hope every one is well and doing good.  talk to you all later.

7-26.  happy birthday Heather.  she is 25.  ok well great news just happened.  ALICIA ROLLED OVER.  she went back to front then back again.  and yes all the way.  no 1/2 way.  She is now out of her bassinet and in a pack and play until g.ma and g.pa berg leave next week.  ok just wanted to tell everyone about it.  love heidi

7-25-07   I'm 3 months today.  the unofficcial measurements are:  24.5 in long  and 16 lbs.  That is what mommy and I came up with.  I am getting so big.  I am working on standing and sitting everyday.  I have started to work on swimming when I take my bathes. I am like a fish.  I can scoot across the floor on my back and almost roll over.  I talk all day long and  sleep all night.  I love to watch things go.  I also chew on any fabric that gets close to my mouth.  mom and dad are doing great and they make the funniest faces at me.  They are so weird.  ok well it is bed time and mommy wants me off this thing, what ever it is.  love Alicia

7-18-07  well she is almost three months.  we have one week to go then she is moving out of the bassinet and in to her crib all the way on the other side of the house.  ok like ten feet.  I dont want her to move yet.  I dont think that i am ready.  I know that she is though.  She has been for a while.    Our softball party was great.  fewer people than last year and it was cooler.  everyone was gone by midnight and we did not finish the 1/2 barrel.  that was a shocker.   well everything has been going great.  my parents are planning to come back the week before drews birthday and packer family night.   That will be fun.  well back to work.  talk to you all later.  love heidi

7-12-07   Well last weekend we went to Chris and Nicoles house to swim in their new pool.  that was fun.  Alicia had a blast swimming.  she even went under the water.  she was jumping up and down for 10 mins just laughing.  She slept great that night.  She is still working on rolling over. she gets half way then rolls back.  Her new toy to play with is her spit rag.  she plays hide and seek with it.

This weekend we are having my whole family come over from MN.  We are having our annual softball picnic this weekend.  The first year  that is not over 100 degrees.  WE cant wait to see everyone again.   we will right again when the weekend is over.  have a good one.

6/29/07     Well we had a great weekend at Great Uncle BOB and Auntie PATTY's house up in north MN.  we loved it.  We, Alicia and Heidi, slept out in a tent, went swimming in the cold lake and played with ALLLL of our extended family.

When we came back Alicia  had her 2 month checkup on the 6-25.

She is now:  38.3cm for head :  45% tile,   11.3 LBS :  60% tile,    24 in long(2ft) : 95% tile  50% is an average baby.  so she is just below for her head but above and way above in the other areas.   She is doing great.  almost rolled over a day ago.  Completly swithed endeds of the bed a week ago.  She put her head where her feet go and so forth.  Other than that she is great and we are loving every minute we have with her.  hope to get pics from my parents in a couple of weeks of the past month.  talk to you later.  heidi

6-18-07  WHAT 2 days in a row?

Ok, I realized that I didn't have any bath time pictures.  So I took some tonight.  she is only 8 weeks old.   She loves her baths and only cries when it is time to get out.  more pictues will put on next week after our trip.

6-17-07     Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there.

Today Alicia got up and made breakfast for Daddy. OK well I made the Breakfast and Daddy gave Alicia a bath for the first time by himself.  He did Great.  then we made breakfast and gave him his gift.  Alicia "made" him a t- shirt that was red and on it was an outline of her body form neck to belly button and arms stretched out.   Then we put " dadd,y I  Heart U This much.  happy first fathers day.  "  then we put her hand prints on it.  It looks like she is giving him a hug all he time.  So drew had  to work to night and we told him that he had to wear the shirt all day, and he did.

Well and update on what has been going on.   Sam and Angies wedding was beautiful.  We went up to tomahawk, wi.  ever small but cute.  there we stayed at a hotel and went swimming for the first time.  That is right Alicia went swimming and LOVED IT.  We were doing great for 20 mins, until she sucked on some water.  then we were done.  Drew took some video.   hopefully we can get it up on u tube.  She also met Drews father, John, for the first time.  We hope to met with him again.

This weekend Alicia and I are going to MN for my grandmas 80th B day.  We are camping out at Eagle Lake, MN.  I cant wait.  ( last time I was there Alicia was 4 days along in utero.)  Cant wait to see all the family there.  Alicia gets to meet her Great Grandparents.

well I am getting better at checking the site.  hope to keep it going.   See you all later.

6-5-07   well as you can tell I don't seem to get on much any more.  I am trying to change that.  Well since last we have been to two weddings and another one  this weekend.  Chad and Tara congrats and Tawny and Tim congrats.  this weekend is Sam and Angie.  Cant wait.  Everything has been great now that I am back to work.  The kids love her and love watching her.  Avery gets concerned when she crys.  He will run up to her and say baby, baby.  She has been doing great with sleeping.  We got her into  routine of taking a bath, play, drink then sleeping by 10:30- 11:00pm  then  sleeps until 4:30 -5am.  Of course there are the crazy nights when she is growing and wakes a little earlier.  Well I need to get ready for softball.  I was cleared by the doctor on monday at my SIX WEEK check up.  That is right Alicia is SIX weeks.  Where has the time gone.  I hope to get more pics up soon. We took lots over the past weekend at My folks place.  By for now.

5/7  I am so sorry for not finishing the stroy.  OK  where was I ...

ah yes water was leaking.  SO we went home where I could take a shower,  Yeah I didnt want to go to the hospital all smelly and gross, haha.  Then I had to come down stairs and watch " deadliest catch", I love that show.  When that was done I decided that we had to be up early the next morning for the induction, so I went up to bed.  That was when my mom came up to me and laid down to give me a big hug and tell me how proud she was of me and that I was going to be a mom the next day.  THAT was the switch.  I had a HUGE strong contraction at that moment.  I freaked.  that was when the contractions went from 15-20 mins to 4-5 mins.  By 10:30 that night we were on our way to the hospital, calling them on our way.  We got there and when we were going to the elevators we ran into Doc Heyrman. He said he would see us in the morning.  Doc Heyrman is our pedi doc, and family friend and Chad's dad, which is the wedding we are going to this weekend.  ok so we get upstairs and get all hooked up.

We had tried a couple different positions for getting her head down.  Then we found out that her head was facing the wrong way.  she was head down but looking up.  You want the baby to look down.  So then I had Back labor.  NOT FUN.  G.MA Becky had to push so hard on my back that her hands went numb. G. MA Nanay had to fill in.  Drew did the best, which was sitting next to me telling me to breathe.  Then that brought us to 3:20 am where I was at a 9 1/2cm. and a nub of cervix.  This got hard because my body was telling me to push but I couldn't.  so for 30 mins I had to breathe through the demon that took over my body.  At 3:50  I was now ok to PUSH, for TWO HOURS.  Because her head was facing up it took us a lot longer to push.  But it was all worth it.  I will say when her head came out it was the greatest feeling.  The pressure was gone.  To note how active she was, she had a knot in her cord and had it around her neck.  and that is were the video kicks in.

We are so happy, joyed, excited, etc,  to have her here with us finally.  Drew is the greatest dad and he loves to show her off when ever he can.  I am enjoying my time, one on one time with her at home.  But this week we came back to MN to visit family that had not been able to come to the birth.  When we go back home to WI, I will still have another week off.  Then It is back to work.  But for now it is playtime and having fun with family.

5/1  1st  Congrats to Trista on bringing here son Riley Richard Berg into this world today at 3:49 pm.  He is 6lbs 7oz. and 20 ins long.  I cant wait to see him.

A WEEK of babies.  My cousin and his wife had their baby on sunday in MI, 7lb 2oz,  19 in.  Congrats to them.

OK NOW for US.  It has been a week since I went into the hospital.  We have been working on a schedule, hers.  She has been great.  I just love watching her with Drew.  Daddies little girl if I'd say so.  So most of you have found the website on YOUTUBE where we have posted the birth, well moments after anyway.  NO WAIST shots, so you are ok.  Drew made it beautiful.  I cry everytime I see it.  and when I hear the song or think about it.  I am just happy to have a child with the man that I love.  We have now started our family.

OK the story of labor.   IT all started when my mom came in to town tuesday night at 5.  She had come over to be there for us during my induction.  Well we were all hungry and I wanted my "LAST" meal for the 7th time.  So we went to Perkins.  By 6 pm My water was leaking perty good.

got to go baby crying .  finish story later

5-25-07

After 9 grueling hours the task is done.  And it was a breeze let me tell ya.  I didn't feel any pain at all.  Didn't need any drugs, or massage or any of that hokey stuff they talk about.  I mean, sure, I was tired after the whole ordeal, but that was a walk in the park if I've ever seen one.

Ok, now ask Heidi how she felt?  Dang, probably a different answer, but that's the daddy's perspective.  And she'll kill me when she reads this.

Anyone who wants to give heidi a visit, she's at St. Elizabeth hospital in Appleton in room 396.  Please call ahead.  A direct line to her room is 920-738-2396.

4/23   First, HAPPY GOLDEN BIRTHDAY HOLLY.

Second,  Well this past weekend was a bust.  However, I called the Doctor this morning and we got an appointment at 130pm.  We went and she decided to stripe my membrane.  We are now scheduled for a induction to start at 7am on Wednesday.  WIth the progress that I have already done it should go great.  The doctor was thinking that Alicia should be here by, MAYBE, late afternoon to early evening.  We can only hope that this will work.  So hope for the best and I will keep you posted if anything changes.
