Stories Only six more days until my due date! Hopefully Jack will arrive by then. If not, I'll just have to be patient. Yesterday was my last day of work before maternity leave. I'm just relaxing today and enjoying the "quiet time" while I can. I can't help being excited and a bit anxious for his arrival, though. We're feeling good and all is well. Well it looks like the name is going to be........JACK! Jack Anthony Cloutier to be exact. We've been fickle about names, but "Jack" has definately found a permanent place in our hearts. We hadn't thought of the name, and a few weeks ago Chris's mom mentioned it. Some say you just know when you find the name. For some reason, "Jack" is that name for our little one! We also want to thank and send much love to those who have sent us long distance gifts and and well wishes. We love the comments posted on this site, phone calls, emails, etc. We miss family and friends back home, especially now, but your supportive thoughts and gestures are always felt and very much appreciated and treasured. Marlleen, Rafael, and my mom threw us a shower in early November. We couldn't believe how beautiful it was. Marlleen has amazing talent with decorations, food, and details. Seriously, I haven't seen a more beautiful setting. We felt very, very special. Thank you so much mom, Marlleen, and Rafael! I added some pictures to this site to share. Thank you everyone for the gifts and wonderful time we had! Chris and I went on a trip to beatiful Sayulita, Mexico at 6 months. I feel like a big whale, so oceanside felt just right! The "babymoon" was very fun and relaxing, and the baby kicked and moved a LOT. Also, my belly is beginning to undulate and become lopsided at times when the baby moves around in my belly. I think he grew quite a bit during the week trip. He must love the water and sunshine, just like dad! Aside from the heartburn and occasional back twinge, I am feeling great.
