Stories APRIL 7 Hi it's mommy everything is going good over here except for the fact that Reagan has started teething I can tell she is in alot of pain she keeps rubbing her face and sucking on her hands and she is very fussy she also wouln't let me put her down for a minute. Yesterday I had to wear the baby carrier around the house just to get acouple of things done. I feel so bad for her. today we're going to go out and buy her some of that cream to rub on her gums and we already have baby tylonol and teething rings I'm also going to try a cold washcloth I hear that works, if anyboby knows of anything else I can do please let me know. I have a trip planned for next month to mexico that everyone at my work won and I was thinking about going but now I'm thinking I might not if Reagan is still not feeling well. We'll see. bye.
Hi, hope everyone is enjoying all of the new pictures I've been putting on. I've been having alot of fun with the camera as you can see. Now that Erick has shown me how to put the pictures on the site you can expect to see alot more. Reagan just gets cuter and cuter everyday! The next thing I need to do is start up my scrapbook for her, I've been meaning to do that for a couple of weeks now. I'm so glad the weather is starting to get nice, me and Reagan have been going out almost everyday. She is just so well behaved, when we go out she does'nt cry at all, she just quietly studies everything around her. I don't know if that will change as she gets older, I hope not. I think she is going to be very smart she's already grabing for things and holding onto something if you give it to her She has a very tight grip I know because one of her favorite things to grab is mommy's hair! My godson Julien came to visit us yesterday and Reagan had such a good time, she was smiling at him all day long and when he was watching his spongebob movie she could'nt take her eyes off of it! She hardly slept for 10 minutes, I geuss she wanted to make sure she did'nt miss anything. Did everyone see the professional pictures I had done? They tured out soooooo good! I'm going to go to Micheals today and get some frames for mine, and yes you will all get your copies soon. Well thats all for now, bye.
Hi it's me Reagans mommy, I've been meaning to write in about Reagans progress but I've been so busy lately but anyway she is doing very well, she is just such a good baby and it's getting very exciting now that she is starting to respond to us more. She just loves to sit there and coo and smile and she also likes to watch tv (shows with bright colors) and she just loves to go out I've been trying to take her out once every day if the weather is nice, she is always so good she just sit there and stares at everything she is so curious. I'm so excited that spring is here and the weathers been nice we'll start going out on daily walks around the neighborhood. Reagan is also starting to fall into a more regular sleeping and eating pattern she usually falls asleep at night between 10:30 and 11:30 definiently a big inprovment from 1:30 which used to be her bed time of choice, after she falls asleep shes usually out until about 6:30 around the time daddys leaving for work. I'll get up and give her a bottle and after that she'll go back to bed for three to sometimes even five hours, thats when I get all the cleaning and housework done so when she wakes up it's all about her. Since she does sleep so well at night though she will rarely take naps during the day maybe just 10 minutes here and there but it works for me until she decides she wants to change her schedule which I'm sure she'll do quit frequently. Oh and about her eating habits she's taking six ounces at I time now she loves to eat as you can see from the newest picture she's getting pretty chubby which is just adorable, well I could talk about her all day but I'm going to go now and this time I'll be back sooner with stories and lots and lots of cute pictures in fact I'll take some today of her in her new jean dress . bye.
Hi everyone, sorry for not posting more on the site. We've been dealing with a water main break that has left our driveway in pieces & we've painted our bedroom & basement. But, with everything that's going on, Reagan just keeps smiling and cooing too. It almost seems as if she's tring to talk to you! She's also been sleeping through the night, which is good. Hi just wanted to update everyone on everything Reagans been up to,shes changing so much from day to day. First of all she is smiling all to time and starting to squell if she gets really excited, she is also making lots of new noises especially when she looks at her little bear rattle I guess shes talking to it and shes concentrating on things more now too she even watchs tv if she notices something colorful. Well I went back to work last week that was pretty hard I was afraid I was missing things Reagan was doing at the house but I'm only working two days a week so I think I can handle it. But I really love my days at home and I love being a mom in fact I can't wait to have another baby. Who knows dad maybe four more??????
-Hi It's me Reagans mommy. She is five weeks old already! I can't beleive how fast the time has gone by. Time flies when your having fun, and she is getting to be so much fun. She is now smiling in response to our smiles and cooing at us and she is so alert, she has to know whats going on all of the time. Shes also holding her head up for longer periods of time. We took her to the doctors last week for her month old check up and she weighed in at 10 pounds! She'll be to big for her 0 to 3 month stuff before we know it, and shes getting heavy to hold for to long too. I'm holding her now as I write this and my arm feels like it's going to brake, but I can't bring myself to put her down or to stop staring at her, she is just so adorable. And not to brag to much but she is not only adorable but a very good baby too. Shes already been on trips to the mall, th grocery store and two restaurants and was wonderful the only time she even makes a peep is if shes hungry and as soon as she gets feed shes content to either go back to sleep or curiously look at whats going on around her, and she is still sleeping trough pretty much every night only waking to eat. The only thing I'm finding alittle difficult is trying to get done all the things around the house that need to be done like the millions of loads of laundry and dishes and all the other things that I used to do without even giving a second thought, not to mention trying to exercise I have all of the videos and equitment here to do it but it's easier said then done. What can I say it's more fun to sit around and watch Reagan all day. Well I'm going to go now but I'll check back soon and we'll be sure to keep updating the site with lots of cute new pictures too. Hi everyone, I know its been awhile but I have been alittle busy. Reagan is three weeks and four days old today and shes already changed so much since we brought her home. I just have to say that she is truely a wonderful baby and we're just so glad shes finally here with us. Anyway as I was saying she really has grown alot. She's already to big for her newborn clothes and shes devoloping more of a personality everyday. Shes also starting to sleep through the night (knock on wood) and she has a feeding routine now too. I just ordered her newborn picture from the hospital so when we get those I will be sure to post those, along with alot more pictures I'll be taking. She is just so precious I have to take pictures of everything she does because she's going to grow up so fast I can already see that time flies when there's a little one around. Most days I don't even know what date or time it is. Well I'll check in soon. Bye
- SHE'S HERE !!!!!! We just brought her home from the hospital today. A day we've been looking forward to for a very long time. Well, little Reagan's birthday is the 15th, but the fun started Saturday, the 14th, at about 9:00p.m. I started to feel some contractions at about 10 to 20 minutes apart but I really didn't think too much of it until about 12:00a.m., then they started to be more like 7 to 8 minutes apart. Still, we waited to go to the hospital even though they were hurting pretty badly. By around 3:00a.m., Sunday, they had been under 5 minutes apart for over two hours, so it was time, luckily we had been prepared for some time so we just grabed our stuff and headed for the hospital. After an exam we learned I was 3cm dialated and about 80 percent efaced so they wanted me to go back home and take a bath and to come back later, but that was not happening! I was crying in pain at that point so I was not going anywhere. So they did decide to keep me there (my dr. was coming in soon anyway, since I was scheduled to bring on contractions at 7:30p.m. that night) and they broke my water to move the contractions along faster, and it did, by about 6:00a.m. I was about 5cm and I was able to get my epidural which made things alot better for me. Through out the day all we had to do was wait, which wasn't so bad since we had so many people there to keep us company, nana debbie, grandpa mike, grandma Jackie and grandpa Michael Ferretti, aunt holly, aunt lauren and racheal. But by about 7:30p.m. the wait was over, I was 10cm dialated and ready to push! With the help and support of my wonderful husband holding my hand and encouraging me, my mom holding my leg back, my sister feeding me ice and my mother-in-law fanning me off, it only took about an hour of pushing and our beautiful little baby was born at 8:36p.m. It was the most exciting and unreal feeling that she was finally here with us and I already loved her more than I could ever have thought possible. We spent two nights at the hospital and getting to know Reagan has been amazing. She is such a loving, alert, and content baby. My husband and I look forward to every moment we're going to have with her. We love you Reagan and Happy Birthday.
-I went to my doctors appointment today and suprise suprise she's still not really any closer to coming out, so I'm going to be getting induced. I had a feeling they were going to tell me that. So whats going to happen is I'll go into the hospitel Sunday night and they will be starting me off on something thats suppose to gradually bring on contractions and then Monday morning I'll be getting the pitocin (the really stong stuff) so she will be coming on Monday the 16th, unless she decides to come earlier but I don't think shes in any hurry. Well anyway I am so excited that she's coming soon it seems like I've been waiting forever. And at least this way I can have everything prepared as I go into the hospital and ready for when we get home. The pain part is starting to scare me alittle now that it's coming so close but the excitement of meeting little Reagan defintley out weighs anything else. I will write back next week about how everything went. I can hardly wait! Bye.
- Well still no baby. She's decided to make us wait. If she's not here by Thursday then I go to the doctors and get another exam and they will be inducing labor that next week, so one way or another she'll be here very soon and we are all very, very eagerly awaiting her big arrival. I'll let everyone know as soon as we know something. (hopefully very soon) Bye.
-Reagan come on, I don't know if you realize that you are due tommorrow but so far it's not looking very incouraging that you'll make your date. These last couple of days have been the longest days ever and I can't wait to have this baby. So come on Reagan mommy says HURRY UP!
- O.k. Reagan we get it your enjoying yourself right where you are and we're just going to have to wait until your good and ready huh? Well I went to the doctors again today and I'm only 1/2 a centimeter dilated(which doesn't really mean anything since some people go from 0 to 8 in acouple hours) she also said that my cervix is 50% effaced. And she made a point to tell me how big the baby is. I'm getting scared that she's getting to big in there and that there may be trouble getting her out. In case I haven't mentioned this yet I WANT HER OUT! It could be any day now but the time is passing so slow and everyone who sees me now is like,"Your still pregnant". Reagan I'm glad your so comfortable in there but there are alot of people waiting to meet you so come on out already! I'll keep everyone posted. Hopefully next time I write a story there will be a little baby by my side.
- Well I've been walking alot and trying to stay active, I hear that makes the baby come faster. Today I walked the mall and ate mexican food (another thing that's supposed to make the baby come). I am so ready for her! The hospital bags are packed and Erick has the camcorder on hand wherever we go just in case. So come on little Reagan, we are very excited to meet you. Nine more days!!!???
- Hello, well I went to the doctor's today and everything is looking good. Reagan's getting nice and big and she's starting to drop a little bit but I'm still not dialated. That really surprised me, I've been feeling so much pressure lately, I thought she was on her way out, but it wont be long now and she is definetly worth the wait. It will be so nice to just hold her and see what she looks like. My next doctor's appointment is on Thursday, the 22nd. I will keep everyone updated. And, we will contact everyone who needs to be contacted when Reagan starts to come. So no one worry. well, until next time, Bye.
DECEMBER 15 - Hello everyone, sorry it's been a little while, I've still been pretty busy. But I think I'm pretty much finished with christmas shopping now and we have our tree up and decorated and most importantly Reagan's nursery is finally all done, Yay! I have all of her little outfits hung up and the crib is all ready too. All the room is missing is our little Reagan, but I'm convinced that she'll be here very soon and I can't wait! She is moving alot or maybe she's just so big now that I can feel every wiggle and squirm. I'll probably be taking my leave from work pretty soon, the standing is really getting hard on me. I worked last night and today I feel like I can hardly move. I'm also going to pack my hospital bag and buy the last couple things I need for the baby by the end of this week and then I think I'll be all set. I wish time would go by faster these past few weeks seem to be going slower then the rest of the whole pregnancy. I go to the doctor's again tomorrow (I feel like it's my second home now) I get a full exam tomorrow I can't wait to see what she says. Maybe Reagan will be here with us for Chistmas! Sorry I haven't posted any baby shower pictures yet, I have to wait and get them from other people's cameras, I forgot to bring mine. Well, I'll be back tomorrow to let everyone know about the doctor's appointment, bye. One more thing Happy belated Birthday to Aunt Holly her birthday was December 12th.
DECEMBER 5 - Thank you so much everyone who attended and helped put together Reagan's baby shower. We got so many things that we needed and alot of adorable little outfits too. The carpet for the nursery is being put down tomorrow so that means we'll be able to put the furniture in there and all of the shower gifts which are currently stacked up in a huge pile in the living room. I went to the doctors today and everything in going very well. The doctor said the baby is head down and that she's getting nice and big. My next Appointment is on Friday, the 16th, at that appointment I'll be getting a full exam. It's getting so very close now and the thought of labor is getting pretty scary. But the babys got to get out some how so it's going to happen one way or another. I'm definently starting to get uncomfortable now especially when I sleep. I wake up every hour to switch sides. Only two more weeks and I'll be full term! I can't wait to have little Reagan in my arms and to have my body back also because I feel like a big wadling duck right now. Oh yeah, Happy belated Birthday to the daddy to be Erick and grandmom Ferretti, their birthdays were yesterday but with the shower going on I forgot to post it. I'll check back in soon, bye!
November 29th - Hi everyone, it's Erick (the soon-to-be father) again. It's been awhile since my last story post due to work and "remodeling" Baby Reagan's nursery. Kristen & I both appreciate all the help and support from friends & family. Also, with the holidays coming up on top of everything else going on we've all been busy. Baby Reagan is on her way, and by the kicks and moving around in there, she's ready to greet everyone in this loving family. I'm looking forward to becoming a father for the first time and I want to do everything I can for baby Reagan & Kristen. It's just a great time for her to be born, around the holidays. After I get the nursery back in order I'll post some new pictures of the finished room. I'll try to keep everyone posted on baby Reagan and I'll try to put up some new pictures too. NOVEMBER 20 - Hi again, I have been so busy lately! I'm in the middle of a hundred different things. Some of which are my fault, like the bathrooms being repainted. I just had an urge to re-do them before the baby comes. I'll post pictures soon of the finished products. I'm actually going to be able to paint the baby's room this week and next week get carpet and then put furniture in there. That is so exciting, I've been waiting for so long as most of you know. Baby Reagan is doing very well, she's measuring the perfect size, actually the doctor said she's still a little on the big side. She's moving around so much, me and Erick think she must be excited about coming out to meet everyone and that she'll probably come earlier than the due date. We'll try to guess sometimes if its a knee or an elbow poking out when she moves. She gets hiccups a couple times a day now which used to scare me. I would pat on her and rub her to try to get them to go away but I know that they don't bother her. My horrible leg cramps came back last night and woke me up two times. They don't happen a whole lot but when they do the pain is the worst. I went to the doctor's last week and I only gained two pounds! Most of the weight I'm gaining now is going to fattening up little Reagan. My next doctor's appointment is the 29th, that will just be a routine visit but the one after that the doctor will be giving me a full exam to see how the baby is postioned and if it looks like she'll be making an appearance anytime soon. NOVEMBER 14 - So, we finally decided what Reagan's full name will be...Reagan Elizabeth Ferretti, Elizabeth grew on Erick and that's been my favorite one from the beginning. Well, I'm about ready to get to bed, I just wanted to post the Full name. I'll be back soon, bye.
NOVEMBER 13 - Hi, did you see the new picture? I didn't realize how big I was until I saw it. Well, I'm in my eigth month now. I have another doctor's appointment on the 17th, hopefully I'm not retaining alot of water, I've cut back on the salt. I've been going though some serious nesting, well I guess that's what it is. I've had this burst of energy and I've been cleaning & washing all of the baby clothes, tearing down wallpaper, painting...ect. Maybe I'm just trying to keep busy until I can start fixing up the nursery. Did everyone get the invitations to my baby shower? I'm excited about it. After my shower on the 4th I only have about a month until baby Reagan is here. Speaking on the little one, she has been rolling around and moving so much lately. When I lay down I can see where she is and little knees and elbows poking out! Ok, well see you all soon, bye.
