We were heartbroken today when the birthmother changed her mind. It was a big shock to us as I had spent all morning in the hospital room with her. We chatted and talked about plans. About 11:30 Jason and I went to grab some lunch. When we came back, she didn't want any visitors. Not too long after that the adoption counselor called to tell us that she had changed her mind. The baby had been born just after we returned from lunch. I'll post another update as soon as I know something.
