nbsp;March 15, 2010: Finally...I have the best news to post!!! nbsp;We have our baby!!!!! nbsp;He's amazing and perfect and adorable and...well, I could go on forever. nbsp;:) :) :)
This is probably a big surprise for most of you reading. nbsp;We were matched with Jonathan's birthmother in January and have been keeping the news to ourselves. nbsp;We wanted to protect ourselves after our past disappointments. nbsp;It's wonderful to finally be able to share him with everyone. nbsp;The who

nbsp;February 19, 2

nbsp;February 19, 2010: nbsp;Wednesday marked four years since we lost Riley. nbsp;It's so hard to think that's it's been that long. nbsp;Wow. nbsp;A lot has happened since that day. nbsp;While we will never truly be free from the pain, we are definitely healed...thanks to your prayers and support and God's grace. nbsp;We look forward to what He has for us and trust it will happen soon. nbsp;:)
nbsp;
Well, on another note, I mentioned last month that we had been matched with a mother,

January 12, 2010: Wow...it's 2010! nbsp;That is so crazy to me. nbsp;Time sure flies. nbsp;We are praying that 2010 will bring us our hearts' desire.
nbsp;
2009 ended on a sour note for us in a way. nbsp;We had been matched with another expectant mother during December. nbsp;Two days after Christmas we found out she had changed her mind. nbsp;We had been sort of suspicious of her, not really trusting her...so, the news of her changing her mind wasn't a huge shock. nbsp;Still, we were d

December 15, 2009: nbsp; Well, the holidays are upon us. nbsp; Where has this year gone? nbsp; It just flew on by. nbsp; It was sure full of adventure. nbsp; We experienced hope, joy, excitement as well as devestation, hurt and grief. nbsp;
nbsp;
We were blessed last month by another nephew. nbsp; Jacobi Hatton was born on November 15th to Brad, Jason's brother, and his wife, Sam. nbsp;

We are thrilled for Brad and Sam and dearly love little Jacobi. nbsp; At the same time, it is bitt

June 1, 2009: Finally...some good news to report! I got a call today from
HelpUsAdopt.org (an adoption granting agency) to discuss the status of our grant application. After asking me a few questions, she asked if I was sitting down. I was, thankfully. She then informed me that the grant review panel had decided to award us the grant funds we had requested! She said they were touched by our story and that they know we have had a hard journey thus far. However they are sure there is

March 23, 2009: Just

March 23, 2009: Just a quick update...
We were heartbroken today when the birthmother changed her mind. It was a big shock to us as I had spent all morning in the hospital room with her. We chatted and talked about plans. About 11:30 Jason and I went to grab some lunch. When we came back, she didn't want any visitors. Not too long after that the adoption counselor called to tell us that she had changed her mind. The baby had been born just after we returned from lunch. After seeing the baby she

March 18, 2009: Still waiting patiently to find out how the birthmother's doctor appointment went. I'll post another update as soon as I know something.
I've been passing my time today finishing up the valance for the nursery that matches the quilt I made ages ago. Finally, I feel like the nursery is pretty much complete. (Except for some cool wall art that our good friend, Aaron, is creating for us...should be very cute!) Anyway, here's a picture of the curtains now done. You can see
