So, Sarayah had her 4 yr check up on Thursday. She is big for her age. She is 44 inches tall and weighs 47lbs. On the paper that the dr has me fill out I answered yes to all of the questions saying yes she does all of it. So, not only is she advanced physically but also mentally. We really can't hide anything from her anymore. When we are changing the channels and she sees the word "iCarly" she makes me stop. There are some words that she can read and she is starting to write very well. She knows how to read and write all of her numbers which is good when it comes to the remote so I don't have to worry about changing the channel all of the time. At her appt, she received 4 shots!!! Wow....what an adventure. She does not do well with pain. I told her beforehand that she was getting shots because she is old enough now to have to deal with it. She did great for the first one. She even smiled. Then there was the second. She screamed bloody murder right in my ear and continued to scream for the third and fourth. The gauges on the needles were adult sized so I'm sure it did hurt. The medicine that was in them burnt too. Now she has a bruise on one arm and a big red knot on the other. I am hoping that this is it for a long, long time to come. She isn't a little baby anymore. She is like a little adult and it makes me sad.

Next time remind the nurse that when she pokes her one time and pulls it out to change the needle...... big idiot... who was this nurse, I'll come strangle her

October 11th, 2009- Happy 4th Birthday to my sweet angel!  All day long I have been going back to 4 years ago and what I was doing on this day.  It is now 8:30pm and 4 yrs ago I was begging for an epidural.  I didn't know the real meaning of love until that mean thing was birthed into this world.  She is mature beyond her years in looks and her actions.  She is my best friend already...I am so excited about seeing what the future holds for her.  I love you baby girl!

September 30th, 2009- So we gave Sarayah her present a little early. She is having a party on sat and we wanted all of the little kids to be able to play on it. It took Josh and Kelly 8 hrs to build the thing. It had 900 pieces and wow did it take forever! She waited ever so patiently all day long. She has a microphone that she can record her voice. She called me in the house and told me to take the microphone to her daddy. I said why and said...just do it! I took it out there and pressed play and it said "Get it done!" Lol...I thought that was so funny. She absolutely loved it as you can tell by the pictures. I can't believe she will be 4!

A friend told me about a precious little boys website this morning and I have done nothing but read his blogs and cried thinking about how lucky I am to have such wonderful children. The last 4 months have been nothing but a challenge.... On April 20th he was shaken by his daycare provider and because of that has suffered extensive brain damage. Check out his site and tell others about it. It is www.noahsroad.com Then go hug your own kids and be thankful!

August 7th, 2009- We went to Carowinds on Tues for Myles' 6th birthday.  We had a blast!  Sarayah couldn't really ride anything except for the kiddy rides.  She rode some of them....she did ride one of the big waterslides.  She would have hated it if Myles hadn't of been on there with her.  Myles, however, rode all of the big rollercoasters that he was tall enough for.  He rode Carolina Cyclone, Thunder Road, Goldrusher and the new one Carolina Cobra(which scared me and Josh both to death!)  It doesn't matter if Sarayah ever gets tall enough to ride them...she won't.

July 5th, 2009- So, the last story was that we had gotten two guinea pigs....well we are minus one now.  We came home yesterday and the older one Punkin wasn't doing too well.  So, I held little Punkin while she took her last breath.  Sarayah told her bye and she loved her....AGH!!!!  It was terrible! We are not sure what was wrong with her...it happened very suddenly.  Sarayah helped dig the hole and she picked her up and put her in it.  We are not getting any more rodents!  I am tired of crying over them.  Sarayah told me to quit crying that it was going to be ok.  I don't cry because of the guinea pig, I cry because I know the hurt that she is feeling and I am feeling it for her times 10!

May 27th, 2009- So, everyone knows that Sarayah's hamster "Honey" passed away a few months ago.  We told her that when it was time we would get her another one.  Well, the time came and we went to the pet store.  I was reading and it said that the lifespan of a hamster was 1-2 years which isn't nearly long enough and the lifespan of a guinea pig is 6-8 years so.....we have 2 now.  Bethany had one and she gave her to us and then we bought a baby.  The baby isn't having anything to do with us right now but Punkin let Sarayah hold her on the couch this morning for an hour until she peed and pooped on her....lol....She loves the pigs....

May 14th, 2009-  Sarayah is definately getting more vocal to people she doesn't know.  She is so smart...really her mouth doesn't stop.  She sounds like a 16 yr old when she talks....attitude and everything.  She is still very motherly with Jonah.  She still wants to hold him and carry him and she can't because he is quite heavy.  Her and Josh bump heads all of the time because they are so much alike.

April 13th, 2009-  Easter was fun.  Sarayah and I dyed Easter eggs this year.  It was a wee bit messy but it was fun.  I almost forgot how because it had been so long since I had done it.  Sarayah was beautiful in her dress.  Her and Jonah are still so close.  I took pictures of Tryp and Sage the other day and thought I would share a few.  I would love to get into photography so if you know of anyone who needs some pictures taken give them my number!

February 26th, 2009- The last week has been very trying.  Sarayah has been very sick for the last 5 days.  She is better now, but yesterday was a little more trying and hard to deal with than the 5 days of sickness combined.  Sarayah's hamster, Honey, decided that she had spent her last day on this earth.  Sarayah was fine when we put her in the shoe box (she was actually the one who picked her up and put her in there).  She was also fine when her and Josh buried her outside.  Josh said that when they put her in the ground and covered her up Sarayah asked why did they have to put Honey in the ground and Josh explained to her that when people and animals die they have to be buried so a pretty flower can grow.  He told her that we would get her another one and she said that she didn't want another one that she wanted Honey and then the tears started.  He brought her in and gave her to me and we sat there and cried.  I hate to see my baby hurt.  This is the first time in her life that I can say that she has been sad.  She asked me all day yesterday why did Honey die.  I have explained to her numerous times that animals die.  Then I told her that Jesus wanted a hamster and because Honey was such a good hamster that he wanted her.  She said...I want Jesus to get his own hamster..I want Honey back ( made me cry again).  She is so pitiful.  She asked if Jesus would play with her and I told her yes that He had a great big hamster wheel for Honey to run on.  And then she asked where would Honey sleep and I told her that Honey would sleep right next to Jesus.  It is so hard to explain death to a 3 yr old....what's even harder than that is when they start to understand it.  RIP Honey bear!

February 13th, 2009-  My big, big girl....is growing up way too fast.  I find it amazing that I can have an adult conversation with her.  She is asking why about EVERYTHING now.  She also wants to help do everything whether she gets hurt or not.  She soaks everything in.  She is still so good with Jonah.  She is such a good little baby sitter when I go into the other room.  I will tell her to watch him and she does exactly what I tell her to.  She said that she wants a sister but I will not have anymore children.  She still talks to her imaginary friends "Family and Honea".  She tells me that Family is a mean girl and she puts her in time-out all of the time.  I can't wait until she gets older and we can tell her about the adventures of "Family".

December 26th, 2008- This year was the best one yet!  Sarayah knew exactly what was going on and was excited as ever for everything she got.  She was so much fun and got so much stuff.  One of her favorite things was the princess vanity.  She played on that thing all day long.   My kids are so blessed!

December 11th, 2008- Well, we have hit a new interesting time in Sarayah's life.  The other day I went to get a shirt out of my drawer and noticed that the entire drawer was covered in dog food!  Sarayah has found it hilarious to put dog food in every drawer at the house.  Me and Josh keep a plastc container in the closet to put extra clothes in and there was dog food in both of them too!  She said that she does it because she thinks it is funny.  I don't find it too funny when my clothes smell like dog food.  She is a very interesting little girl to say the least.  She has also been stuck at my hip here lately.  She has been crying for me a lot and making whoever keeps her call me at work.  She sounds so pitiful.  I just want to leave work and go get her!

December 3rd, 2008-  Sarayah is STILL sick!!!  Mama called me yesterday and told me that her fever was 103.3.  I called the doctor and they told me to go ahead and bring her in.  When I got to mama's Sarayah said that she needed to throw up and she did.  She was so, so sick.  When I got to the doctor her fever was 103.7.  They gave her a dose of Tylenol there at the office.  This was her 8th day of antibiotic for her sinus infection so the doctor said that he thought that she got immune to the antibiotic she was on and he put her on another one.  So, when we get finished with medicine she will have been on it for 13 days!  I hate it when she is sick because she isn't my lively fun little girl like she normally is.  On a more positive note she is in the most loving mood here lately.  We stayed awake the other night from 12:30-1:30 just talking about everything and her telling me how much she loves me.  She will say "I love you so much mommy".  There is nothing better than that!  She got mad at Josh the other day because when she woke up I was already at work.  She said that she didn't want daddy or anybody...she wanted her mommy!  I hope she gets better soon!!!

November 25th, 2008-  Sarayah has a sinus infection and I'm tired!  She has kept me up all night coughing and coughing and coughing.  She is on antibiotics and I'm hoping she gets better soon!

November 1st, 2008-  Halloween went pretty well.  I atleast got her to dress up this year.  She only went Trick or Treating at one house and then we went to the Fall Festival at church.  She had a blast and is going to greatly enjoy all of the candy.

October 21st, 2008-Sarayah went to the doctor yesterday for her checkup.  She weighs 38lbs and is 38 inches tall.  She is in the 95th percentile for her weight and the 75th percentile for her height.  She did very well with everything except her flu shot.  She screamed like crazy.  The doctor came in and had to hold Jonah so I could hold Sarayah down.  She was crying when we got to the truck and she said "Mommy, why did I have to get a shot?!"  It was so cute and funny.  I had to explain to her why she had to get one.  Everytime she gets a shot she milks it for all it's worth.  She acts like her leg is broken everytime.

October 11th, 2008- Sarayah is now three!  Wow, time flies.  She had such a good birthday party.  There were so many people there.  She got so many things that she doesn't need.  We bought her a trampoline and she loved it.  She told me  that she had a good birthday party so I guess that is all that matters.  Today has been so busy and we are so tired so I believe we are going to lounge on the couch for the rest of the evening!

September 23rd, 2008-  I can't believe that Sarayah will be 3 in 2.5 weeks.  It doesn't seem possible.  She is having somewhat of an anxiety problem here lately.  Everytime anyone scolds her she says that her belly hurts and she is going to puke.  She needs to talk to a child phycologist and resolve her issues that she is having.  Not really but I can't wait for this phase to get over.  She is speaking very well and singing everything.  When she talks she says the word over and over until she gets it right.  She makes me sing all of the time and if I'm not singing right she stops me and makes me sing louder.  As y ou can see by the video on Jonah's site that she is being very motherly now.  She loves to give him a bath and feed him.  She starts school in 2.5 weeks as well so I can't wait to see how that goes.  She is such a little lady.

Auguest 8, 2008-  Sarayah is having a difficult time with the move.  The first night she stayed here, she came into the room and said "Mommy I wanna go home"  I told her that she was home and she said "No, I wanna go home".  We sat down and had a talk about how she was in a new house now that had a back yard that she could play in anytime she wanted to and she finally quit making me sad.  This is the first time that we have moved that she has known what was going on.  Poor chicky.
