Sarayah's name is now on the baby name list. I googled her name again and all of these Sarayah's started popping up. I can't wait to see when she is in her 20's, how many Sarayah's there are in the world. I am going to have to tell the famous story that a lot of mom's tell....."When she was born there were no Sarayah's around and now there are so many!" She is also in this very dramatic stage of her life where everything is PLEASE Mommy PLEASE!!! She says please before and after almost everything. For example...she has a cold and I had to give her medicine and she said "PLEASE don't make me take medicine, PLEASE!" Crazy girl!
July 23rd, 2008- We went to Carowinds today. Sarayah had so much fun. We had to warm her up to the idea of riding any rides but once she started she didn't want to quit. She really liked the Boomerang Bay waterpark. We went down one of the big slides and she flipped out. She also flipped out when any of the characters came out. She started screaming when she saw the Fairly Odd Parents Fairy. She was so cute because she said that she hurt Diegos feelings because she wouldn't hug him. Then she said that she had fun at Carowinds today. We all had fun today. I haven't been to Carowinds since I had kids and for some reason I was a little more scared about riding any of the rides.....but it didn't stop me.
So, Sarayah can recite the entire Subway commercial where it talks about thunder thighs and a badonadonk butt. I think she has watched it maybe 3-4 times. Now when it comes on she says it word for word. She is scared to death of anything that flies. She calls all of them bees. She will scream a blood curddling scream when she sees a tiny ant. She also has an imaginary friend. Her name is Family. She is always talking about how she is going to Family's house. Last night she even shared a popsicle with her. Don't know what to do with her.
July 6th, 2008- The Fourth of July was definately interesting. It was pretty much like Halloween......we didn't celebrate it. We went to see the fireworks and the first one that went off, Sarayah ran to the first person she saw......which was me. When she gets upset or embarassed, her foot swings back and forth really fast and needless to say her foot was swinging pretty hard. She tolerated them for about 5 minutes and then Josh asked her if she was scared and her response was......."I GOTTA POOP!!!" really loud! The fireworks scared the poop out of her. So....we had to leave. When we got home did she have to use the bathroom anymore???? NO! Little drama queen.
July 2nd, 2008- Sarayah has become quite the little talker. When she wants me to do something and I tell her I will she says "You pinky promise?" She is so motherly to Jonah and I love to sit back and watch her because she says some of the same stuff that I say to her. She still pretends like she is nursing her babydolls. She says "I am feeding my baby with my boob". It's too funny...I laugh at her no matter how many times she says it. She thinks that her 3rd birthday is going to be huge. She tells everyone that she is going to have a pony and a big blow up bouncey thing at her party. We will see. She is definately a ball of energy!
May 30th, 2008- Sarayah has finally broken her fever. After 7 constant days of being very sick she is finally on the road to recovery. She has been so whiny and crying about EVERYTHING that I am about the pull my hair out. She cries because her medicine tastes yucky. She cries because she wants her drink. She cries because she wants her Nana. She cries because she has to pee. She cries because she is cold. She cries because she is not cold anymore. I am going insane. I have spent the last week of me being at home being tired and stressed out to no living end. This sickness is draining both me and her. Pray!
May 26th, 2008- Poor, poor Sarayah. She has been so sick since friday. Friday night she fell asleep on Josh's lap at 9 and then I woke her up at 10 to give her Tylenol. As soon as I gave it to her she threw it up. She woke us up at 3 am with a fever of 103.3. We put her in the tub to try to get her fever to go down and as soon as I gave her a dose of Motrin she threw it up too. She was shaking and moaning. I felt so sorry for her.....I felt so helpless. Her fever finally went down to 101.7 and it has pretty much stayed around there ever since. I took her temp today and it was 99.9, which is day number 4 with a fever. The doctor did write me a perscription incase she didn't get better so I had it filled today. I was supposed to go back to work tomorrow but I am postponing it until next monday just to make sure she is better. This whole thing is wearing me out.
May 23rd, 2008- Sarayah woke up this morning with a fever of 101.5. I took her to the doctor and she has a viral infection, which means that there is no medicine to help her except Tylenol. It has to run its course. I was supposed to go back to work next tuesday but I called and told them that I would not be back until the following monday. I knew this would happen. She would be fine the entire time I was off and then get sick right when I was about to go back. She is so pitiful. She is getting worse as the day goes on. She fell asleep in the doctors office so I had to carry her and Jonah out. Needless to say, I had my hands full. I have a feeling she got sick when she went to school for half a day with Myles on wednesday. She whines and cries when she walks because she is sore all over. She said that her head and neck was hurting. I guess this is the joys of motherhood.
May 17th, 2008- Sarayah is extremely closterphobic. I just thought that it was one time but EVERY time Josh is holding her down playing with her she freaks out. This morning, Myles wrapped her in a string and you would have thought he killed her. I guess she gets that from her aunt "B". Thanks Bethany! Sarayah has been having conversations with Jonah here lately. The other day she talked to him forever and when she was finished she said "Thank you Baby Jonah for talking to me!" I thought that was pretty cute.
April 28th, 2008- I took poor little Sarayah to the doctor today and she has a UTI. I feel so sorry for her. If any of you have ever had one you know how painful they are. The doctor told me that he was glad I brought her in when I did because kids can get very sick from UTI's and can sometime end up in the hospital. She does not like the medicine at all and she has to take 2 tsps twice a day. That is A LOT of medicine for a 2 yr old. I know you are asking how did she get a urinary tract infection. The doctor said that it was probably caused by soap getting where it isn't supposed to go. Anyway, she still weighs 35 pounds which is only up 2 lbs since her 2 yr check up. The doctors name is Dr. Lopina and Sarayah kept asking where Dr. Little Pina was at. I told him what she said and he thought it was pretty funny. She is starting to try and pick Jonah up so I am having to keep an extra eye on her. Josh felt sorry for her and bought her a tricycle at Target. Daddy's Little Girl!
April 6th, 2008- We have an issue. I have heard that once you have a baby, the older one will regress back to not peeing in the potty. I am living proof of that. Sarayah has peed in her panties more in the last 3 weeks than she ever has. I am going to go bonkers! She will be in the bathroom and stand there and let it go right there in her underwear. Any advice? If not I guess I will have to start taking her back to the bathroom every hour to re-train her to use the potty. She is getting more jealous bu the day. She isn't listening and pitching fits and being "that kid" all of the time. We have tried to make her feel special. We take her to the park, Josh even bought her a flippin hamster! She named her Honey by the way. Nothing seems to help. At this present moment she is wearing a bib and has been for the last hour. See what I mean?! The ole patience wears a little thin, especially with the sleep that I am not getting. Pray for me!
March 24th, 2008- Sarayah had a great easter. She got a grand total of 5 easter baskets! She is adapting well to Jonah. She wants to hold him all of the time. She kisses and hugs on him whenever she gets a chance. She is still having some issues behaving but that is getting better day by day. There for the first couple of days I thought I was going to have to throw her in the trash can. Not really!! It's really not as bad as I had expected.
March 4th, 2008- I haven't put anything on here in a couple of weeks so I thought I would update a little. Sarayah is very excited about "Baby Jonah" as she calls him. She asks everyday when is Baby Jonah coming out. The other day Jonah was moving around like crazy and I said "Ouch" and she said "What's wrong mommy? You're belly hurt?" I told her yes that Baby Jonah was kicking me. She said "Tome out Baby Jonah and stop hurting my mommy" She is so cute. She is full of it!!! Everytime I fuss at her for anything she says that she is mad at me. She is so tall! I can't wait to see how she does react when Jonah is born. I hope she isn't too jealous.
Feb 14th, 2008- Happy Valentine's Day!!! Sarayah and Josh both have the flu. I am holding my breath constantly hoping that I don't get it. They are both taking Tamaflu and if any of you know what that is, it's not cheap! I have spent $110 in the last two days on that stuff. It seems to be helping though. I have definately become the anti-bacterial queen here lately. I just want everyone to pray that I don't get it. I can't take anything if I do.
January 17th, 2008- Sarayah saw her first snow this morning at 6:15. She woke up when I did and went to the living room and looked out of the window with her sleepy eyes and grinned very big! She didn't know what it was but she said that it was pretty. When I told her that it was snow she said "Ho, ho, ho?" She thought that just because there was snow outside that she needed to "open her pesents". She loved playing in the snow. Her little nose was so red but she didn't care. I asked her if she wanted to go inside and she said "No mommy, I not told". I knew she was cold because I was freezing. She kept making snowballs and throwing them in the puddle of water. I am so glad she finally got to experience snow!
January 1st, 2008- Happy New Year! Sarayah has bronchitis. I had to take her to the doctor yesterday because she was running a fever and coughing and hacking all over the place. I have definately gotten spoiled having two 4-day weekends in a row. I love spending time with her. She is the most thoughtful, caring two year old that I have ever met. Last night I was laying on the couch and she came up to me and kissed me on my forehead and said "I lo lu mommy". She keeps telling Jonah that she wants him to come out and play. We will see once he gets here. Well, back to work tomorrow. Hope everyone has a wonderful 2008!
December 25th, 2007- Wow, what a Christmas. Let's just name a few of the items that Sarayah received. She got a kitchen, a Dora digital camera, a Dora 4-Wheeler, a babydoll stroller and highchair, a real wood table with lady bugs on it, 2 Dora Chairs, clothes, barbies, a baby doll, and a furry coat...just to name a few. She is so blessed. We are now forced to buy a house simply because we have no place to put all of this stuff. She was a lot more fun this year because she actually knew what was going on. She woke up at 7:15 Christmas morning and for 45 minutes she asked to open her presents. Everytime she would open a present she would say "Yeah! or Hooray!". I enjoyed Christmas a little more this year just because she was so aware of everything. She is such a sweetie.
December 4th, 2007- WE HAVE A POTTY TRAINED LITTLE GIRL NOW!!! I am so excited! She pee-pees in the potty all by herself. She wears only big girl panties all day and then a pull up at night which she never pees in but I am not taking any chances. I am so happy to have her potty trained before Jonah gets here. We went to Fun Depot in Asheville on saturday and she had a blast. She really liked the mini bowling they have. She is also getting so skinny and tall. She doesn't look like a little baby anymore :( She is my big girl now!
November 27th, 2007- Well, me and Sarayah had our first "in the car pee pee encounter". We were riding home from the babysitters and she said those 3 famous words "I gotta pee". Well, we were not around anything. I knew that we would be to a restaurant in about 5 minutes but who knew if she could hold it that long. I kept reminding her not to pee and to hold it. Finally we were right in front of Zaxby's....stuck at a red light. It seemed as though the red light would never change. Finally....GREEN!!! I floored it and by this time she was starting to whimper because she needed to pee so bad. What did my big girl do? She held it until I could take her into Zaxby's and she peed in the potty!!! I was so proud of her. Then to beat it all, when we got home she said that she wanted to poop in her diaper. She has a fear of pooping in the potty. I told her that diapers were only for nite nite time. So, she sucked it up and has pooped twice in the potty tonight....she thought that she should have gotten 2 Reese Cups but I only have her one. So now, diapers are only for night time and panties are the rest!!! I am praying that I fully get her out of diapers before Jonah gets here. Woo Hoo!!!
November 18th, 2007- Sarayah has been in her big girl panties all weekend. She has only peed once in her pants since tues afternoon and today is sunday night. She didn't even pee in her diaper at night. We pretty much have the pee thing down pat if she would only poop in the potty. She has been on Miralax(laxative) because she can't do it herself and I guess I can blame the Miralax for her not pooping in the potty. I'm not going to get too grafic on here. Maybe I will have her out of diapers for a couple of months before Jonah decides he wants to make his grand entrance.
