March 29, 2007-  Sarayah is talking my head off.  She is so funny.  For example when she tells the dog to move it sounds like "boof!".....Pig sounds like "piss"...... and so on.  Her eye teeth are coming in now....causing more heartache for both of us.  She loves to talk on the phone to anyone.  She will say whatever we tell her to.  She likes to be Miss Independent.  She likes to eat by herself, climb on things by her self and do pretty much anything by herself.  Eating is getting better.  She isn't quite as picky as she used to be.  She is however like her mama.....WE LOVE TO EAT ICE CREAM!!!!  She is so big!  She goes for her 18 month check up on tuesday.  I will let you all know how much she weighs.....I predict 31 lbs!

February 28th, 2007  Well, Sarayah has started a new daycare that is great!  She is in an at home daycare that has a set schedule everyday.  The teacher has been helping Sarayah with the potty. (which helps out A LOT!)  She has to sleep on a mat and is doing great with that as well.  I am so proud of her!  I was nervous about putting her with another person but everything seems to be going just fine.  She seems so big when she goes over there because she knows exactly what to do and is so well behaved when she is there (don't know what happens when she comes home)  She is talking like crazy now.  When I tell her to do something or sit down or fuss at her for anything she looks at me and points her finger and says "mean".   She is so bad!!!  Joah and I are having so much fun with her!!!

February 3rd, 2007- Sarayah has been peeing in the potty a lot here lately but ony in the mornings.  She doesn't tell me when she needs to go pee pee she only tells me when she already has peed.  This morning was a little different.   We woke up and I took Sarayah into the bathroom sat her on the potty and she pee peed and poo pood in the potty!!!  I was so excited!  Sorry the pictures are so blurry but I couldn't download them off of the internet, I had to take a picture of a picture, but you get the idea.

February 2, 2007- We found out yesterday that Sarayah has a disease called "acrosyanosis".  The definition of the disease is a decrease in the amount of oxygen delivered to the extremities. The hands and feet turn blue because of the lack of oxygen. Decreased blood supply to the affected areas is caused by constriction or spasm of small blood vessels.  If you want to know more about it you can go to http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/common/standard/transform.jsp?requestURI=/healthatoz/Atoz/ency/acrocyanosis.jsp  Sarayah's Dr. called me himself yesterday which I could not believe.  He said that the only thing that could possibly be the cause of this and he doesn't think is the cause of this is possible future heart failure.  He said that she should grow out of it but if she doesn't by the time she is 2 then we will have an echocardiogram done on her to make sure it isn't her heart.  It is a painless disorder and she still has full function of her hands and fingers, the only difference is that they get very blue when she gets cold.  It mostly happens in young babies but mine just happens to be different.  I will keep you all updated on it when she gets closer to the age of 2.  On a better note Sarayah has starting to pee in the potty a lot in the mornings!!

Comments

WE ARE ON OUR WAY TO A DIAPER FREE WORLD!!!!!   Sarayah peed in the potty again this morning 1/22/07.    She normally starts to pee in the floor or on the scales but she actually started on the potty and then she clapped her hands and said "Yea!  Pee-pee"  I hope a pray that she catches on quick!

January 20th , 2007- We took Sarayah to the Ear, Nose and Throat Dr last week to possibly talk about getting tubes put in her ears, but thank God he said that he didn't think that she needs them.  He said that since her ear infections were spaced out and they get better with medicine and it's not affecting her hearing then she should be fine.  Sarayah talks ALL OF THE TIME and gets into EVERYTHING!!!  She has hit the terrible 2's a little early.  She whines about everything especially if Myles is involved.  They act like brother and sister.  They love each other but can't get along at all.

Sarayah has a new little friend named Chase.  She is a little jealous of him which is a first because she normally loves babies.  I can't hold him when she is around or she gets very mad.  Sarayah is starting to really love her Daddy.  Everytime the dog barks she runs to the door and says "Daddy".  Then when he walks in the dooor she says "Hey baby".  She also loves for me to read this one specific book.  I bet the other night I read it 25 times in a row.  Everytime I would get to the last page she would start kicking me and saying no over and over and over.   The potty thing isn't going too well.  She would rather pee in the floor or on the scales rather than in the potty.  She doesn't have the patience or attention span to sit on the potty long enough to pee.  She now has so much hair that it can go into a ponytail.  It is growing so fast.

January 3rd, 2007- Sarayah went to the Dr. today for her 15 month checkup.  She weighed 27lbs and was 32in tall which puts her in the 90 percentile for everything once again.  She did have to go to the Dr. last week because she had yet another ear infection.  This makes like #6 or 7 so we are going to the Ear, Nose and Throat on the 16th so see if she has to get tubes or not.  I hope they will just wait and see if she grows out of it.  The Dr. said that Sarayah looked and acted older than she is.  She talks so much all of the time.  She reads books to me now.  She is doing the beginning stages of potty training and I am loving it!  We got her a potty for Christmas and she was scared to death of it at first but now we have her where she will atleast sit on it naked.  The other day she woke up from her nap and then grabbed the front of her diaper and looked at Josh and said "pee-pee".  She is starting to tell us more now when she has peed in her diaper.  I am hoping she is one of those kids that takes their diaper off themselves and never puts one back on again.  She knows what pee pee is because everytime I go to the bathroom she follows me and says "pee-pee".  She is so smart!

Christmas Day 2006- Sarayah had a great Christmas.  Way too many Elmo's to count.  She got the Chicken Dance Elmo, the Check up Elmo and the TMX Elmo.  She got a bunch of other stuff as well. She is saying everything now.  She can also count to 3.  She points her finger for one, sticks her finger and thumb out for 2 and says "do" and then she says "free" for 3.  I laugh at her all of the time.  She tells everyone hey and bye bye and she doesn't just say it once she says it over and over and over.  Her room is overflowing with stuff now.  Elmo needs to have his own room if we keep going at this rate.  Well, Sarayah had a wonderful Christmas and so did we!  Hope everyone else had a great one!

December 7, 2006- Sarayah is so MEAN!  She is just like her daddy.  She says no to everything and if something doesn't go her way then we sure do know about it.  She doesn't play with her toys in her room instead she goes into the kitchen, pulls out the pots and pans and a wooden spoon and it will keep her busy for hours.  She also likes to sit in the pots and pans.  More and more words are coming out of her mouth.  She says about anything you tell her to.  It might not be too clear but she tries.  She calls Bethany "B" and that is pretty clear.  She is very smart.  The other night I was sitting in the living room and I told her to go get me a diaper.   She walked into her room and stayed forever and then walked back out as to say "where are they?"....so I walked in there and showed her where they were and came back into the living room.  I waited a while and told her to go get me a diaper again and this time she walked straight into her room and came back out with a diaper and gave it to me.  I love it when I see Sarayah getting smarter and learning new things.

Sarayah grits her teeth so bad!  I can't stand it!  Ever since her molars came in she loves to grit them.  She has also finally started saying some words now.  She says mama FINALLY!, she also says papi, diaper, bad, stop, dog and soemthing new everyday.  She has also started climbing.  She almost fell into the bathtub because she threw her leg up over and put her head in wanting to take a bath and I caught her before she went head first.  She tries to climb onto the couch and gets mad because she can't do it yet.  She sings every time she gets a book.  Who knows what she says but it is cute as a button.

November 15th, 2006- I know I know it's about time.  I haven't had internet in about a month now so I couldn't update the website.  We have moved out of the house and into a duplex.  It's small but it will help us save money until we can afford to build the house that we want and the place that we want it in.  Sarayah loves it in the new house because it doesn't have steps so she can walk around where she pleases.  Sarayah has cut 3 out of the 4 of her molars and boy are they rough.  She has sooooooo much personality and is so entertaining.  She is starting to repeat the words that you say which could be a bad situation.  She is sleeping in her own room now in her own bed.  I can't sleep very well because I don't like her being in a different room but hey she has to grow up some time ( I don't think it needs to be now).  Sarayah has a new cousin now.  Her name is Shilah Leigh and she weighed 9lbs when she was born.  Sarayah says "Ohhhhhh" everytime she sees her.  She lays her head down on Shilah's belly and pats her really softly.  It is so cute.  I think it's almost time to have Sarayah a little sister......I said ALMOST, not right now.  Sarayah also has a temper.  If she doesn't get what she wants she will stiffen her back and scream!  Drives me a little nuts!  She is such a little diva already.  She loves to dress up in anything.  This year has went by way too fast!

Sarayah went for her one year checkup on wednesday and she weighs 23 and a half lbs and is 30" tall.  She is in  the 90 percentile for everything.  Dr. Laney was very impressed with her motor skills and said that she is very advanced for her age.  He said that she is very animated (which we already knew).  Other than that he said that she is perfect( already knew that one too)

October 16th 2006- Sarayah's birthday was so much fun.  She got so much "stuff"!  She hated her cake...wouldn't touch it or eat it.  I can't believe that she is 1 already.  Sarayah goes to the dr wednesday so I will let you know how much teh chunck weighs.

September 6th, 2006-  Sarayah is walking so good now.  She is all over the house.  She has become so much more interactive lately.  She can communicate with you like she can tell you yes or no by shaking her head.  She is really becoming so much fun now.  I thought when she was smaller that she was fun but I believe now beats it all.  Her hair is getting long and thick enough now to where I can actually fix it and I love it!  Her hair is getting so curly too.  So, so very cute!

August 24th,2006-  Sarayah is sick again, except this time she has a double ear infection, her allergies are killing her and her teeth are coming in all at the same time.  My child has had a rough week.

August 18th, 2006-  Well, Sarayah has been having stomach problems the past couple of days and today I figured out why.....She now has 8 teeth!!!  Four on top and four on the bottom.  She has had 6 teeth cut through in the past week and a half.  Poor thing!  She can blow kisses, make the indian sound and shake her head yes when you ask her a question.  She talks to you when you talk to her.  She really sounds  like she knows what she is saying and you should know what she is saying as well.  She can also climb stairs and in order for her to go down them she lays on her belly and slides.  My little dare devil!

August 13th, 2006-  Sarayah has 5 teeth now!!!  Two on top and three on the bottom.  Her top two teeth has a gap between them,  I think it's just the cutest thing ever.  She won't let you look or feel of any of her teeth.  The only way you can see them is to make her laugh really big.  She also dances when she hears music of any kind.  At church this morning Sarayah was in the choir with mama and she was dancing her little heart out.  She also hits her head an average of about 20 times a day now.  She wants to get this walking thing down pat but she gets in too big of a hurry.  She walks from the loveseat to the coffee table to the couch back to the loveseat and so on and on and on.  She's getting better.

August 7th-, 2006-  Well, Mommy went back to work today.  It was ok...bitter-sweet.  I need the money but being away from Sarayah is killing me.  She stayed at the babysitters today.  It was a little rough for her.  She cried on and off for most of the day.  I didn't have to take her this morning because if I did I may not have went to work.  I know this is good for her but not so hot for me.  She needs to be away from me for a little bit.  I will be working 8-5 Mon thru Fri, so atleast I get nights and weekends off to spend with her.  Don't really know how all of this will work out, but I guess we will see.

August 5th, 2006- We took Myles and Sarayah to Tweetsie for Myles' birthday and they loved it.  I thought Sarayah would be scared of the train but I was wrong.  They both had so much fun.

August 2nd, 2006-  Sarayah's top two teeth have broke through and they are huge!  Well they look huge compared to her bottom teeth.  Boy they were hard on her.  I'm glad that is over for now.  I need to have another kid for Sarayah to play with.  She loves Myles being here.  I love Myles being here as well because he keeps Sarayah busy and she is learning so much from him too.  Some things good and some not so good.  Sarayah likes for me to read to her now and every page that I turn it to she kisses the page.  She kisses everything.  She is also an eater.  She eats anything and everything.  I am also trying to get her used to a sippy cup so when she turns one I can take the "baba" away from  her.  She is still such a good baby.  If all of my children would be like her I would have 10....well maybe 3 or 4.
