October 4th, 2005- No baby today, tomorrow, or the next. I had my first real "check up" today and my cervix is closed and thick, so there are no signs of the baby wanting to make an appearance anytime soon. In a way I am glad because next week we will be considered to be full-term and hopefully she will not have any problems if born anytime after that. I am finished being pregnant!!! I want someone else to carry her for just a couple of hours. I want my back to stop hurting and all of this wierd stuff to stop happening to my body. I want to stop wearing moo-moos. I also just want to look into her face and spend some time with her instead of her spending time with my belly. Well our next appointment is next tuesday the 11th at 10:30. Josh is going to all of these appointments because these are "fun" so he says. If anything happens in the meantime I will update. Almost over!!
September 25th, 2005- Wow....who would have ever thought that a person who isn't even here yet can accumulate so many clothes. We had the baby shower yesterday and let's just say that there was an excellent turn out. I have never thought in a million years that I would have 50+ people in my house at one time. Yes, Josh did freak out and stayed up until midnight cleaning the house. I can definately tell the effects of last night today. I am exhausted. I still have to get the big things before we are ready for her to get here though. Even though she will look cute in everyone of her new outfits, she can't go anywhere and show off the clothes without a car seat. Everything is still going well with the baby and me. Just waiting and waiting and waiting!!!
September 23,2005- The Doctor said that she is growing right on track, so on that subject there isn't really anything else to say except that she is perfect! The doctor did say that she weighs close to 5 pounds. I don't know what I am going to do if she gets any bigger. I really think that my tummy is stretched to capacity. The trip to Pigeon Forge was fun. Poor Josh had to ride everywhere because I can't walk. We tried to walk a little and made it 2 blocks before I had to turn around and go back because the hands and feet looked like balloons. He has been so excellent through this whole thing. The baby shower is tomorrow. We are expecting 50 people in my house. I can't wait. Josh the neat freak will really freak out. I'll post pictures on here from the shower. The next doctor's appt is Oct 4th at 10:30, and then every week after that until she is born!!!
September 9th, 2005- Again the Doctor said that everything is going as planned. I couldn't ask for anything better. Sarayah is acting more and more like a baby everyday. She gets the hiccups atleast once a day but the funny thing is that when she gets them she gets mad and kicks like crazy until they are gone. I have been having Braxton-Hicks contractions (fake ones) that have been getting more frequent and starting to hurt a little. Dr. Merta said that it was normal and they are getting my muscles ready to push her out. Can't wait!! We are going on vacation to Pigeon Forge thursday but shhhh I haven't told my doctor because he wouldn't let me go if I told him!! I go back to the doctor on the 23rd . He said that all we are doing now is letting her get chunky and let me gain water. Only 7 more weeks!!!!!
August 26th, 2005- The visit today was normal. I didn't get red-lined!! I came within 1/2 of a pound of getting red-lined but the fact of the matter is that I didn't. Dr. Merta said that she weighs about 3 pounds now and everything is going like clockwork. Since there is a history of big babies in both mine and Josh's families, Dr. Merta said that if he thought she was getting too big that he would start me early!! God knows I don't want to push a 9 or 10 pound baby out. She is still head down and she will remain that way. We are having a cookout/baby shower on September 24th at 6:00pm here at my house. Anyone is welcome to come....yes that means men too. I passed my diabetes test with flying colors he said. Now I guess all there is to do is wait on this sweet little thing to join us in this crazy world! I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks which will be Sept 9th at 10:10. I'll talk to you then!
August 10th, 2005- We had the 4-D ultrasound today and Sarayah is absolutely beautiful. She is Josh made over. She moved the entire time I layed there, but the nurse got a few good shots of her. It is so amazing to think that something like that is inside of me. Her head is already down which is good news. The nurse said that she couldn't do any measurements because it wasn't a medical ultrasound but that she thinks that Sarayah is already a big baby. Mama guesses that she is going to weigh 9 pounds!! Lord help me! Sarayah received her first flower yesterday. It was a pink rose from her daddy. He is so sweet! I hope you guys can make her out in the pictures and I hope you enjoy them half as much as I do!
August 5th, 2005- The Dr's appt was normal again today. I was red-lined again but I am getting to the point where I could care less because it is evident that I am going to gain weight no matter what. I drank the orange stuff and it wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. I go back in 3 weeks for a normal checkup. I will let you know whether or not I passed the glucose test or not. Josh and I are going this coming wednesday for the 4-D ultrasound. We will post some pics on here so you guys can see her.
Everyone seems to have their own opinion about how big I am. I have heard so far "Are you sure the Dr doesn't have your due date wrong?" and "Oh my gosh, are you having twins?!" I love hearing the fat comments. Do people, especially women, not realize that pregnant women are more emotional and take things harder than normal women because we are definately not normal. Anyway, on to a better note. Sarayah is so active. Her foot or something has reached my rib cage. She also hates the seatbelt. Everytime I put the seatbelt on she kicks. Just like her crazy daddy already.
Josh's letter to the baby:
Hey this is your dad and I can't wait until you get here!, because I tend to get a little bored and do things that cost money to pass time. Like today for example I washed my truck then got a new set of wheels on it . Then I was still bored with the day and so was mommy but she is a tight butt and don't spend money on anything except ice cream or whatever she may be craving at the time ... so we went riding around and that didn't seem to be good enough so I got my tattoo expanded so that it covers the majority of my left arm. I will show it to you when you get here so hurry up and grow so you can see what all that yelling your mommy likes to do is all about .... Ha Ha see ya soon ! Love Dad
July 12th, 2005-The Dr's appt went very normal as usual. I was however "red-lined", which means that I gained a little too much weight this past month. Dr. Merta said that it was fine because for the first 5 months, I didn't hardly gain anything and now my body is just catching up with the pregnancy. I however don't like it. Sarayah hates anything on my belly. The Dr was going to check her heart beat and as soon as he put the doppler on my belly she started kicking it. I'm talking about kicking it hard enough for the doppler to move and she wouldn't be still. Dr. Merta laughed.
We have started the baby's room and it is so cute. The care bear theme is perfect! I love watching Josh get excited about her. He stood in her room last night cheesing from ear to ear forever. He wouldn't leave. I can't wait until this thing is over and I can hold her and see who she looks like. I have to drink the orange stuff next visit to check for gestational diabetes. Only 16 more weeks left!
July 9th, 2005- Well, I got the layaway out yesterday and thought that I could do everything the same as when I was skinny.....NOT SO! I pulled a muscle in my stomach climbing up into the back of Josh's truck. It feels like a mack truck has hit me in the stomach this morning. I love being pregnant!!! Anyway, on to a better note. We are decorating her room in Care Bears! So cute!
June 25th, 2005- I thought I would write something on here so you guys would have something new to look at. Sarayah is moving around so much now. Josh absolutely loves to feel her move. Last night he laid his head on my belly and she kicked him. It was funny. As for me, I am growing right along with her. Gaining what seems to be a pound a day instead of a pound a week like I am supposed to be doing. The heat and standing on my feet all day at work is starting to take a toll on helping my feet to swell. Sleeping sucks now. I can't get comfortable. Since she is laying on my nerve, my entire left side goes to sleep when I am trying to lay on my left side. She even wakes me up at night kicking me now but I love every minute of it. Only 18 and a half more weeks left to go!!
June 7th, 2005- IT'S A GIRL!!!! We have decided on a name....... Sarayah Taylor Hudgins. She looks perfect. When she first came up on the screen she looked like she was waving at us. There are some pictures on here from her ultrasound. I have now gained 10 pounds!! Isn't that great?! I know one thing for sure.....she is definately going to be Daddy's little girl! She is about 6 inches long from her head to her butt. I am almost halfway there!!
Well, I have started the registry but it is not finished yet. It is a Target. You can go to the website as well which is Target.com.
May 23rd, 2005- I went to the doctor today and everything is still perfect. The baby is on schedule with its growth and so am I. I have gained 7 and a half pounds so far. Its heartbeat was 147. I asked him what that meant and he said that is was still in the girl range but guess what?!.......we find out June 7th at 9:30 in the morning!!! I can't wait. I have been having sharp pains in my lower back and he told me that the baby was laying on my sciatic nerve. My child already loves me.
Leave a comment and let us know whether you think it will be a boy or girl. We find out very soon and as soon as we find out we will be sure to let you know!
May 13th, 2005- I laid away the crib, mattress, bassinet, and changing table today. All of which are white so it will work with either a boy or girl. I can't wait to get the furniture in the nursery and then put all of the furniture to use.
April 26th, 2005- I went back for another Dr.'s visit today. He listened to the heartbeat again and this time it was 150. It is so releiving to hear that sound. I really feel like it is a boy but we will have to wait until the middle of june to find out. Everything is still normal!
Mar 25th, 2005- I got to see my tiny babies heartbeat today. It's head is as big as it's body. It is 1.6 cm long, not yet an inch long (little thing). I am 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant. At this visit it's heartbeat was 171 bpm. I was so excited to see the heartbeat and that everything is normal. The official due date is November 1st.
Mar 1st, 2005- It all started when I wasn't feeling so hot. I had been feeling this way for about 2 weeks but of course I didn't think anything of it. I woke up and without telling Josh I went into the bathroom that no one uses and took the test. Two bright, clear lines appeared immediately. I started shaking and ran downstairs. I showed Josh and of course he didn't know what it was but then he finally figured it out. We are going to be parents! I called everyone I knew. After I called everyone I took 2 more tests that were different namebrands just to make sure. Yep, it's a fact!
