8/8/05-- Jake's newest feats are buzzing his lips and pseudo-crawling.  He can get on all fours for a second before scooting back down to his tummy.  He is now proficient at rolling over and is a complete wiggle worm when getting his diaper changed.

8/2/05-- Jacob went to his first museum today.  We visited the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum in Los Angeles.  Jacob liked the Science Museum because it had many interactive exhibits (mostly he just likes to hit things and we were able to let him).

7/30/05-- Jacob figured out his rattle.  He now grabs Dottie Duck by the leg and shakes and shakes and shakes, all the while laughing hysterically.

7/29/05-- Jake saw the beach today for the first time (he had previously seen the beach parking lot, but that doesn't count).  He was very interested in people watching and the waves rolling in.  He later had his first shower, as he and his mother were covered in sand.

7/19/05-- Jacob attends his Uncle John's graduation.  He then heads over to the airport to go home.  With only one stop in Phoenix, Jake keeps his perfect record of being a perfect angel on the plane.  Kris came to the airport to pick him up so Jessica could go to work.  The poor fella has been asleep all evening.

7/18/05-- Jacob is again the Beau of the Ball at a luncheon with his Great.-Aunt Paula's friends.  That evening he suprised his Uncle John by being in the state, for one, and by wearing a t-shirt that read "I Love My Uncle John."  He and John net for the first time at John's Army Medic training graduation banquet.

7/17/05-- Jacob traveled to San Antonio on a 7+ hour car trip.  He slept, then cried, then slept, then cried...  did I mention that he HATES his car seat?  That night he met Michelle Keating, his godmother.

7/16/05-- Jacob went to Stanton for the Cook Family Reunion.  He was the youngest Cook there and the only great-grandson (so far) of Johnnie Paul Cook.  Everyone oohed and ahhed over what a cutie he is and how well he behaved...and then we left and he decided to cry and cry and cry!  At least he keeps his public image spotless!

7/15/05-- Jacob visited his Great Aunt and Uncle (Mike and Peggy) in Seminole for lunch.  That evening, he was the guest of honor at a dinner with his Great-Grandmother's friends.  He's a little charmer...!

7/14/05-- Jacob has had his first plane ride!  He left John Wayne Airport headed for Phoenix, Albuquerque, and finally Midland.  He was a perfect angel and slept on all three trips.  He then drove to Andrews to visit his Great-Grandmother and Great Aunt Paula.  Sadly, however, Jacob's favorite toy, Dottie Duck, flew the coop and has either migrated to Chicago or now resides in Phoenix.

7/3/05--Jacob woke up this morning and realized that he has feet.  Now when you sit him upright, he starts grabbing his toes.  He also figured out how to play the piano that goes on his bouncer chair--still uses his left hand the most.
