Stories 8/13/08 Looking forward to the weekend, we will be celebrating GGMa Rosie's bday with a BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Habicht's house! GAuntie Jane and GUncle Mike will be in town as well. Otherwise, we went on another park date with Daddy last night, short but fun. Chloe had a rough nights sleep last night, I think she was just too warm. Chloe and Daddy are battling a nasty cold, so that could be the other reason.8/10/08 Was a pretty lazy day at our house. All of us slept until 9 AM, yes, even Chloe, she was so tired. Did some small chores, made brunch and took a nap. 8/9/08 Paige and Bailey came over for the day. We baked a cake for Papa Jensen's bday and played ALOT! Daddy came home at 3 and took Paige to the park and spent some time playing with the girls. In the evening we celebrated Rich's 50th bday by having a small get together at their house. Was a late night, but everyone had fun staying up late, even the wee ones. 8/8/08 We spent the evening at the fair with Grandma Connie and Grandpa John, Liz, Jacob and Madison. Chloe had such a blast. First we visited the animal barns, then of the the booths where we got a free Kandi Cty Fair photo of Chloe from Film Drop and then it was to the rides and games. Chloe and I went on the Merry Go Round, which she had no clue what to think, but was having a little fun by the end. My back hurt so bad from hanging on to her and going up and down. Next her and Jacob went on the cars together, she wasn't the height, but they still let her ride and she had so much fun! After that she tried to fish in the pond, it was hard for mom to even catch anything, let alone a 2 year old. She picked out the same dolphin as Madison got. Cute! Then we decided to eat some fair food. Chloe and Grandpa enjoyed corn dogs, Mommy and Grandma had nasty hot dogs. But then found some GREAT tacos and fresh lemonade. On our way back to the cars we stopped and picked a few ducks. Chloe picked her prize out, which was a duck stuffed animal. Fun was had by all. 8/4/08 Weekend went by way too fast as always. Really sucks when you wake up Monday morning, late, because you thought it was Sunday morning???
Saturday evening Chloe, Josh and I spent some quality time together with no distractions. We took Chloe to the park and tried EVERY, I mean EVERY thing they had to offer. Chloe and Mommy also ran the bases at the ball field and she was exhausted when we got home. We have some great pics that I will post later. Josh drove us around town to see if we could find a house like ours with an overhang above the front steps. We found one down the street, funny that we have been looking for a year now, and it was right down the road. We hated it so now plan B. We are going to be redoing all the landscaping on the front of the house and install railings. If anyone has a great idea for something else, structure wise to add in the landscapes, all ideas are welcome. I want to put something besides just bushes and plants.
Sunday evening Josh decided he had to burn our Menards cards. We finally painted the second coat in our room, only due from 2 years ago. He surprised me for Valentine's when I was prego with Chloe. Then we put up molding around the ceiling, looks great! Next is the living room, we bought 5 of the 9 pieces we need, so we will have to go back when they restock.
The fair is here this week, so I am sure we will check it out at least one night. Gotta have my fresh mini doughnuts!
