5-1-08 Happy May Day!  We didn't make May Day baskets as we are way toooo busy, maybe next year!  Chloe is feeling alot better, she has her appitite back and her blisters went down after a good nap and rest last night.  She is back to Daycare today.  Daddy had her out to play in the nice weather yesterday when I had got home from work.  We have lots of stuff to do for the party, but it will be good.  The Wiehr's will be coming to spend the weekend as well, so it should be a great time!  I am a little nervous for Monday, but talking with Josh we really think she does need the tubes.  We will discuss our thoughts on why, with Dr Mellema on Monday.

Monday night we picked up my old table and chairs from Grandma Connie, got them cleaned up and the screws tightened.  She just loves sitting and playing with it.  We will update lots of pictures after the weekend is done.

4/30/08 Chloe was into the Dr yesterday for yet another ear infection and it is suspected that she also has hand, foot and mouth disease.   It is just never going to end at our house it seems.   We will meet with an the ENT Dr. Mellema on Monday to see if we need to get tubes put into her ears.   I was also put on stronger meds for my pink eye that is creeping back to me, would be the 4th time.   If that doesn't clear up in a week, I need to see an eye Dr.   So far we are stilling planning on the party.   If things change we will let everyone know.

4-25-08 Grandma Connie was over for grilled Hot Dogs last night and helped us make sure we have enough stuff for the party next weekend.  Yeek!  When I booked the party I forgot that we have the Tribune Garage Sale on Sat May 3.  I love being at the sale and getting the deals, but boy do I have my work cut out for me that weekend.  Friday Brooke and I will be making 80 hot dogs buns, yes, from scratch.  They are so good, and Chloe only gets the best for her birthday.  We are having brats and hot dogs, all the fixings and salads.  It should be a great time, as long as it isn't snowing???  I remember her 1st party last year, Mother's Day to be exact, it was 80 degrees and 100% humidity (?sp).

Mom and I took Chloe to get her 2nd haircut last night.  I actually got the nerve to cut enough to save this time.  Mom sat in the chair next to Chloe and started to cry...Hard to believe she is growing up so fast right before our eyes.

This Saturday we will be having a going away party for Andy at Walt's.  So we will have a full crowd in the garage.  Never thought I would be making a Chevy symbol cake (Funfetti to be exact).  Will post pictures from the weekend and the haircut, when times allows.  Take care...

Things are going well at our besides the dreaded "pink eye".  Soon we hope to see the end of it.  Chloe is such a little ham.  We just love playing with her and what she decides to come up with next.  Last night she insited on sitting in her baby doll cradle and rocking the baby nigh-nigh and giving her kisses.  She loves to try to get her shoes on to go out and play.  I was not looking forward to the day she would sit at the porch window and cry to go out while it was raining.  Josh's next project is to put gate-doors on the deck so she can play out there more and we not have to worry about her climbing down the steps.  Will be so nice for her and all the other kids that come over.

We are so excited for her party.  Daddy is itching to get the yard green and everything organized for it.  Now we pray that it will be nice enough to be outside in the yard and not crammed in the house or garage.  We are planning a garage sale after the party is done, so if anyone wants to join in let me know.  I really need to thin out the baby-toddler stuff that we aren't using or is bringing in too much clutter for our house.

4/21/08  Pink eye is back at our house again, Chloe came home wiht it Friday from Daycare and I think I might have caught it as well, thank God we still have meds leftover.  We do need to get more, but this will help for a few more days.  I have a call in to see what we can do as this would be 3 for me and 2 for Chloe.  Josh had to stay home today as Paige came down with Pink eye this weekend and Bailey has a double ear infection.  Poor Brooke. Hopefully everyone will be healthy soon and that this Pink Eye will dissapear.  I would love to know where it came from....  Chloe has been enjoying this wonderful weather outside and so have Josh and I.  I actually started diggin in my garden this weekend, my goal this year is to keep it nice ALL summer, the last 2 I kinda slacked on that end.  We are gearing up for a going away party on Saturday for Andy at Walt's and then Chloe's party on May 4th.  Josh has spring fever and is busy with all his projects.  He presure washed the deck, front steps, sidewalk and the driveway.  Wow does that look nice, you think we would have just poored new cement.  Will update more when the Dr calls back....
