2-15-08 Chloe was into to see Dr. Kemp this morning and she has an ear infection in her left ear and the right one still looked yucky. He wasn't concerened about her lungs, I though she was wheezy in the AM yesterday. Lungs are clear, but if she did have a touch of Pnemonia, the Zithromax he put her on would could that and her ears. We still have the drops for the right one. She slept alot better last night, was up once looking for her water cup, but back to sleep right away. Josh felt alot better this morning, he got to bed early and took some good medicine too. We didn't do much for Valentine's. Chloe made out like a bandit as she always does. Grandma Connie stopped by with her treats for her right after work and then I made Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and Cheesy Garlic Bread. Josh had requested that, our tradition is that I cook a good meal for Valentine's Day. We did this even when we were dating.
Please pray for Mark Spindler, he will be having some surgery done on Saturday morning to fuse some vertabreas.

2-14-08 Happy Valentine's Day!!! Chloe is still under the weather and I think the other ear is infected. We will be going back to the Dr today and will update more later. It has been over 2 weeks now that she hasn't felt well. Not fun! Josh is at the tail end of Influenza, so our house will be cleaned GOOD this weekend. So far I have been luky with just a sore throat and headache. Otherwise things are good. Josh has a drag race on Saturday and will be out riding in the fresh snow on Sunday. Take care and hope everyone is healthy!!!

Thursday Josh and I drove Dad to
Anoka for Ian's funeral.
Everything went as well as it could have.
Very hard when we know that this wasn't in God's plan.
Friday we didn't have daycare as Paige was sick and Brooke had to take both girls into the Dr.
Dad and Ronda took Chloe in the AM and Laura took her in the afternoon.
Huge help!!!
Saturday Dad drove Grandma and I to Beardsley for the burial of Ian.
Wow!
Terrible roads, you know you live in MN when it is blowing and snowing so bad that you can't see inches in front of you.
We made it to Morris, ate some lunch with Ronda and her parents, and went on our way again.
Roads were a lot better from Morris to Beardsley.
Everything went as well as expected there to.
Great music and prayers!
Ian was buried at the family plot in Beardsley.
We made it home in a lot better weather and road conditions.
Chloe has still been under the weather lately.
Got Chloe back into the Dr this AM.
Looks like her ear might still be open a bit so she was put on an Antibiotic/Steroid Ear drop.
As for the cough we also found out what to use and how much.
So hopefully she will be sleeping, feeling better and no longer coughing soon!
Hope everyone is staying healthy and out of the COLD wind.
This is a copy of email dad sent out to friends and family, please take a minute of your time to read!
As most of you already are aware of part of my family was involved in a tragic accident on January 21, 2008 while leaving
Sioux Falls
, SD. Mark and Alicia Spindler were hospitalized for a week with neck and spinal cord related injuries. My 2 year old grandson Nathan, thanks to his car seat barely had a scratch! Unfortunately my 5 year old Grandson Ian did not survive!
Although our hearts are saddened by the loss of my beloved Ian, we are thankful that the other family members were able to survive. Those who have seen pictures of their vehicle will agree with us that it was a miracle that the rest of the family was spared! After a week at
McKennan
Hospital
in
Sioux Falls
, Mark and Alicia were able to "WALK" out of there late on Monday 1/28/08. They along with Nathan are now back home in
Elk River
,
MN
and are starting their long road, both Physically and Mentally towards recovery!
In spite of their pain, grief and despair, Mark and Alicia were able to make a decision that no parent should have to, but I will admire them forever for. At their wishes a team of Medical Specialists was flown to Sioux Falls on that night in hopes that some of his body would be used to save or make better another childs life! At this time we still are not sure of the results of this, but my dear bride "Grandma Ronda" said it best! She hopes they were able to use some or all of his heart as that was his "BEST PART".
Papa Mac will miss his little buddy Ian! I am blessed to have had the 5 years we did, but I wanted more! I remember many things with him. Hitting golf balls, going to the park, fine dining (his favorite was Chicken Nuggets and Ranch Dressing!) and much more! The thing that I will miss the most is the Big Hug I always got when he came and the Big Hug and "I Love you Papa" when he left!
T
he outpouring of support from Family and friends has been overwhelming! We thank you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers! Their
Caring
Bridge
website (that link is below) is about to explode with the number of friends and kind hearted strangers that have visited this! We cannot thank enough, the kind young man who assisted the rest of the family at the scene as he might have saved us from further loss. You really should read his message on the
Caring
Bridge
, but make sure you have lots of tissue! What an outstanding person he is and we will forever hold him close in our hearts!
Our many friends have been wondering what they could do to help get us through this tragic event! All I have ever asked of anybody is that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers, but I asking for just a little bit more. If you are a parent or Grandparent, give the little ones a hug or if they are in a distant place, give them a "Phone Hug" in honor of Ian! Hopefully there will be many more for you and as I said before that is what I will wish the most! Also for Nathan, make sure they are always in their car seat!
If you feel the need to do more, we are asking that memorials go to the family to ease the financial burden the recovery will have on them! Information for that is contained below. For those that would like information as to the services, that will be posted soon on the
Caring
Bridge
!
God Bless

2-1-08 Chloe went to the Dr yesterday. She had a horrible ear infection that Dr said might burst. Sure enough last night it did, I called urgent care and said it was a little bloody. They just told me to keep an eye on it and she should be feeling better. She slept all through the night. Thank God for both of us, the night before was awful. She in on Omnicef, a strong med and will be back in 3-4 weeks for a recheck. Otherwise she seems in better spirts just still being lazy, which is ok.
