12/27/06 We made it throught Chloe's 1st Christmas. Thank you to everyone who entertained us and bought us gifts. We appreciate everything! Chloe had a huge loot!!! Check out all the phoeos, well some, as I took 175 pictures this weekend. We are stocked up on 12 month outfits and have plenty of toys for her. She loves them all. She was such a trooper and she has a great time opening gifts! I had Tuesday off, thank god! I put all the dishes away, laundry away and even sorted some of her stuff to make room for the new things! Daddy thinks he needs to add on a toy room for her. Good idea, but way to much $$$ for a toy room. We will figure it out as we get more and the older she gets. Sometime we will be able to have stuff in the basement for her. Grandma Shirley and Arne surprised us with commitment rings on Christmas. Everyone is so happy for them!
Chloe started DayCare at Brooke's today. Brooke was so excited to be able to stay home and watch her for us. Josh and I are trying to plan a vacation to Breezy Point in February with Zach, Heidi and Pat. Should be a good time. I think it would be good to get away. But I sure will miss my peanut. She was such a cutie this weekend. She is creeping and taking a few crawls at a time. Busy beaver with all the new toys! She deffinately is growing up way to fast! She hasn't been sleeping very well, but I think alot of it is her teeth. Still nothing but her gums are extremly swollen and sore. Last night she got MAD when I touched them.
This weekend we are going to South Dakota to visit the Wiehr's for New Years. Pat, Zach and Heidi are going as well, so it should be a good time! It will be fun to get the kids together again! Hopefully the weather will be in our favor. Although, Chloe could use some snow for her new sled!!!
Hope everyone had a Merry Xmas and will have a Happy New Year!!!
12-20-06 Josh and I took Chloe to the Dr yesterday afternoon. She still hasn't been herself and doesn't want to sleep much. She has a cold that has started to settle a little in her ear and throat. Also, she thinks she is going through a big teething stage. Mix the 2 and having had the flu last week, she has been getting cold really fast. Last Friday night she her hands, feet, and lips were purple so we wrapped her up in a big blanket and fed her a warm bottle. That seemed to do the trick. On Monday, it happend again but deffinatly not as bad. So we decided it was time to go in and see what was going on. The Dr wasn't worried about the purple, she checked her heart and pulses in her limbs and everything was fine. Also she would be worried if it would have only been one side of the body and not both.
Also, Grandma Laura had to go to the ER on Monday due to some woman issues. She wouldn't stop bleeding. They sent her home and told her she was dehydrated from having the flu and being on her feet. Also told her that she is at the end of her menopause. She was kinda happy about that. She was feeling better yesterday and hopefully she will be back to normal today.
We are starting to get ready for Christmas at our house. Saturday mom and John are making sweedish meetballs, Saturday afternoon we are making Krum Kaka at Laura's and Saturday night we be at Laura's for pizza and gift opening. Sunday afternoon we will go back to Laura's for her family xmas. Sunday morning we will go to mom's for breakfast and gift, Sunday afternoon we will have the Nelson's at our house for appitizers. Christmas should be a great time this year.
Chloe will start Daycare at Brooke's next week. We put in our notice with Michelle. Right now she is taking 1 other family and then Chloe, and working towards her license. I am hoping this will work out great for us. Michelle should be having her baby anyday, so we will need someone for 6 weeks anyway. When Brooke has her baby we are hoping that Michelle will take Chloe, and if we ever need a backup. Nathan was kinda bummed out, but at least they are neighbors so we can go visit.
12-18-06 Chloe is almost back to normal, we just need to get her over her cold. On Saturday we went to Anoka to celebrate Christmas with Rich's family. Chloe got a new toy and some books. On our way back we stopped at Sam's club and stocked up on goodies. Paige was with us, as Shane and Brooke had their Terwissha Christmas party. We went to my dad's to visit Ronda's kids/grandkids. Chloe got some eating supplies from Nathan and Ian. And a baby doll, shirt and book from Ronda's mom and dad. Chloe gave the boys a racing set for the bathtub. It was fun! Afterwards we went back to our house and made mini gingerbread houses with Paige. I think Josh had more fun than she did. On Sunday Josh, Chloe and I were lazy all day. At 7 mom and I went to The Christmas Shoes play, we had a good time.
Josh and I are looking forward to Chloe's first official Christmas, the only bad thing is that there will not be much snow for her new sled from mommy and daddy.
12-13-06 Poor little one has had the stomach flu since Monday. We have had her only on Pedilyte, rice cereal and bananas. Thought she was better this morning and now she has the runs. Hopefully she will up and back to normal soon!!! Hope everyone is staying healthy!
12-11-06 Well we made it through another busy weekend. Saturday after I worked Chloe, Grandma Connie, and Great Grandma Shirley went to Sheena and Taylor's baby shower. She got some great gifts from the guests. On Saturday night Josh and I went to Tonic Sol Fa with his parents. It was a great holiday concert! Chloe went to Grandma and Grandpa Habicht's. Sunday morning Laura and I baked a couple batches of cookies for Christmas and got a family photo taken so I can get my Christmas cards out in the mail. Shane and Brooke invited us over for supper last night. She made Lasagna and Cheese bread. Yummy! Josh and I will celebrate our 2nd Wedding Anniversary today. Grandma Connie is going to come over so we can go out for supper. Otherwise we are just gearing up for the rest of our Christmas celebrations!
