Stories 5/12/06 Update on Chloe! We called the Dr this morning to check in after yesterday's appointment. Everthing is well and she is eating a little more each day and she doesn't have to go back until the 25th. She still needs to be undressed in order to get her to wake up to eat, but she is the best little girl we could ever ask for. We had our first bath at home last night and Chloe didn't like it at all. But afterwords Daddy bundled her up and they fell asleep together while mommy took a bath. Thank you so much to everyone who has visited us, brought gifts and sent best wishes for our new bundle of joy! We appreciate everything and will keep you updated as much as we can! Look for new pictures this weekend! 5-11-06 On Monday, May 8th Josh and I woke up at 3:45 am for some reason and my water broke!! I made him turn on the lights to make sure and we made our way to the hospital! They checked me in and contractions started to come, at 8:00 I knew I had to push really bad, so we called the nurse 3 times and still no nurse, Dr. Meyer made it there before a nurse showed up. They checked me and I was dialted to 9 cm so soon after we started to push! I had no time to get any pain meds, which I didn't want anyway. Chloe was born at 8:20 am with only 10 minutes of pushing. Everyone was so surprised how well and fast everything went! Chloe was born at 36 weeks, but the Dr thinks we could have been off a week or two on the dates. Because she was considered premature and she had purple hands and feet, she went to NICU to lay under the heat lamps until 2 pm. We were able to go in and see and hold her. She is doing great now, we are still watching her for Jaundice. We went to the dr this morning and she isn't too worried, but we are watching her eating and sleeping habits. She is now at 5 lbs. 11 oz. (should be back up to her birth weight in 2 weeks). All she does is sleep, eat and poop. Chloe is definatley a daddy's girl! At night for feeding I have to wake her up instead of her waking me up. I hope that she will stay this way! Enjoy the pics and we will keep you updated!!! 5/5/06 Baby will be here any day! Went to the Dr. on Tuesday due to some pinkish discharge and was put on bed rest for 1 week. She found that I was dialted to 2 1/2 cm and my cervix was thinning. My tummy has dropped alot too. She would like to make it to 37 weeks, which is 1 1/2 weeks away. Baby's heartbeat was 148 and the head was way down and ready! I also had a minor accident in the parking lot while trying to find a place to park. Someone backed into the right side of my car, causing $1800.00 damage. So we have had a wonderful week. We will keep you in touch as much as we can!!! 4/27/06 Doctor Appointment went well yesterday. Baby's heartbeat was at 138 and my blood pressure was great! The doctor went over what to expect over our next few appointments and when we need to go to the hospital when labor sets in. At the next appoinment I will have a Strep B test and will be checked to see that I am not anemic. On Tuesday night we had our last pregnancy class and we got to tour the hospital. We also learned what things to pack and what to expect once we are there. Bags are packed and ready to go! 4/20/06 Went to our 3rd parenting class on Tuesday night. It was packed full of information. We learned how to give babies a bath, diaper them, hold them and also how to swadle them. A nurse also showed us how to properly install a car seat and all the safety concearning that. The nurses also talked about breastfeeding and Dr. Vogel also spoke about newborns and answered tons of questions from the class. We have one class left next Tuesday, where we will get a tour of the hospital.
