Stories 4/12/06 Went to the Doctor today. Baby's heartbeat was 138-140 bpm. I have gained 4 lbs., totaling 17 so far. She thinks I should only gain 25 total by the end. This will all depend on how much water weight is gained towards June 5. She also told us that the baby should start slowing down a little bit and to check movement if it seems too little. About 4-5 movements an hour. Baby has found a comfy spot on my right side and it makes it very uncomfortable when I am sitting at work. Our second ultrasound came back good and we don't have to get another one. We talked with Dr. Meyer about pain meds and we get to come back every 2 wks now. Next appointment is on 4-26-06. Went to our class last night and didn't learn too much new from last week. Got to watch part of a live birth and learn a little about labor pain meds. We will keep you updated!! 4/5/06 We started our Pregnancy and Birth classes last night. Josh was so thrilled to go, but found out he knows a couple people (so I think that will help). We learned alot on relaxation/massage and a little bit on breathing. Also got to watch some videos that were from the 80's, I felt like we were in school again. I think that class will be very helpful when labor comes around though! 3/30/06 I took some pitures of our Ultrasounds for everyone to see. They aren't as good as the originals, but you can tell that it's a baby. Things are going well! 3/27/06 We had our 2nd ultrasound today!!! Baby is weighing in at 3 lbs. 8 oz. (feels like 8 lbs.) and the heartbeat was at 146 today. The baby was stubborn, and we had a hard time seeing the face for measurements, so she had me moving all over to see if baby would move. Baby had the head way down and was very active. We got some more pictures today. Everything was so much more clearer than the last time. Got a picture of a foot, a fist and a partial profile, the spine and the mouth/nose. Baby looks healthy. We will find out more after the radioloigists looks at the pictures on our next appointment. We will keep you updated! 3/17/06 Had out Dr. appointment this morning and everything is going well. I have gained 5 more pounds, that makes it a total of 13 for the pregnancy so far. I measured a little ahead on my belly, but my due date is still June 5th. Baby's heartbeat was at 136. We go in on March 27th for our next Ultrasound to get the measurements they couldn't get on the last one. I have had some slight muscle pain in my groin if I sit for a long period of time, but the Dr. thinks it is just from the baby making my body shift around. That is the side it always is kicking on. She said ice or heat and Tylenol. I guess it could be worse? She also reminded us that we cannot leave the hospital without a carseat. I don't think we have to worry about that quite yet. If we had to, we could get one on last minute. Next Dr. is on April 12th. We will keep you updated!!! I have been getting the hospital bag ready. All that we really need to do is wash the stuff and I need to get a few more things for myself. We start classes on April 4th. Josh is looking forward to those?!?! Otherwise everything else is good, work has been very busy. We will be going to SD to visit Tim, Kelly, Carter and baby-on-the-way on the 25th. I am excited to see them, she is due 2 weeks after we are. Hope everyone is doing well!!!
