12/16/2005 We had our second official Dr. appointment yesterday.  Everything went very well.  I gained 1 lb. since my last visist.  The baby's heartbeat went down to 148 and was plain as day once she found it.  The baby was so active she had a hard time keeping it long enough to take a reading.  She also told us that I should starts to feel the baby move within 17 -20 weeks and that Josh would be able to feel it about 2 weeks after I could feel it.  I asked her about my tailbone hurting.  It has been bothering me when I sit.  She thought maybe I injured it at one time (I can't think of anytime that I did!).  So she then thought that the baby is pushing towards it or that my body is just adjusting to pregnancy.  All I can do is use a heating pad and take Tylenol.  Otherwise I have been feeling pretty good, just tired and out of breath.   Our next appointment is January 13th and at the visit we are going to schedule our unltrasound.  I am so excited for that!!!

12/14/2005 Joshua and I celebrated our 1st Wedding Anniversary this weekend.  We went to St. Cloud to spend the night, ate dinner out at Anton's, and finished our Christmas shopping.  Had a great time!!!  Got a great packet from my insurance company with samples, books, flyers, etc.  Got our first newborn diaper.  It is sooooo tiny, it's adorable!  Looking forward to tommorrow for our next Dr. appointment.

12/7/2005  14 Week Update!  Baby's sex organs should be fully formed and it's length should be over 4 inches and weight at about 2 ounces.  Baby will begin adding fat that is necessary for heat production and regulating metabolism.

11/30/2005  13 weeks now!!!  Into our second trimester.  According to my books the baby is covered in lanugo (fine hair), which will disapear at birth.  The skeleton becomes evident and the baby can lift its chin.  The bones take over for the liver to be responsible for blood production.  Baby should be 3" long, the size of a jumbo shrimp, and about 1 ounce.  Squiggly lines now form fingerprints and you can see veins and vital organs beneath baby's tissue-thin skin.

11/29/2005  The cravings have started!  Last night it was a Root Beer Float and usually on Monday's I crave Golden Palace Egg Drop Soup (they're closed Monday's, how convenient)!
