Stories Sorry, ultrasound pictures and pregnant Mommy pictures, soon to come!!!!
It's a girl!!!! Ella is going to have a little sister :) We had our ultrasound yesterday and much to our surprise, it is a girl! I think everyone figured since we have a girl, we were going to have a boy, but nope, Justin is destined to have a house full of princesses!!! The baby is doing great they said, she was awfully fiesty in there, moving around, and I can feel it! She weighs 140z, so we are creeping up to a full pound. The name is still up for discussion, I like Elyse and Justin wants to think about it, so we bought a baby name book, and let me tell you some of them are just crazy. But regardless of what we name her, we are very excited, and so is Ella. However she was too busy eating lunch at Oma and Oppy's she really didn't care about the news. But she did help us pick out a little outfit for her :) So right now we are in the middle of clearing out some rooms to make the transition for Ella into her big girl room, which comes with a big girl bed. (makes me so sad). That's it from our world, taking it day by day and getting Ella ready for her new big role!
WOW, it is 2010! What happened to the time? This year is already going so quickly, I can't believe we are approaching the middle of January! Not to mention our much anticipated ultrasound! We are scheduled Jan 27 to find out if Ella will have a little brother or sister. My last appt went well, the baby heart rate was 152 and moving around like crazy. Ella has had a busy couple weeks with Oppy, Andrea and Connor's birthday all in the same week! Needless to say she had fun at all the parties. Wednesday she starts Roc n Tots (a dance and play class at the ymca) should be interesting since Daddy has to bring her to the first class! She got shoes that squeek, so she loves showing them off, they are super cute and I always know where she is. It makes me sad she is in a size 7 shoe already (i remember when she was a 0) :( But soon there will be another baby to buy tiny shoes for!
The Olsen home is crazy as always, but getting through everyday so happy that 2010 is going well and we hope your's is too!
I had my 12 week appt and everything was going great, the baby had a nice heartbeat and they could pick it up with the doppler (so reassuring). Tomorrow I will be 14 weeks and counting down to find out the sex of the baby. (unlike kim who is able to wait and be surprised!) I am finally over the sickness and getting excited.
Ella is doing well, she didn't love sitting on Santa's lap, in fact she looked a lot like Justin and I when we were her age and sitting on Santa's lap. Face red, tears streaming down her face and trying to get away. But to us, it was priceless! She has been enjoying the snow and even tried her first hot chocolate. We had a Christmas party today for my work and she didn't want to get off the dancefloor as she was twirling and doing her classic "stomp".
That's it for now we are off to Santa's workshop to get some wrapping done.....
Well the fall is just about gone and Turkey Day is approaching. Alot has gone on and Ella has some big news to share...she is going to be a BIG SISTER!!! I am due June 14. We are very excited and so is Ella (at this point) she likes to poke my belly and kiss the baby. I know she is going to be a great big sister.
In other news....the time has flown by Ella was a duck for Halloween and had a little kids Halloween party (so cute) and she was a ballernia for that and loved twirling in her tutu. She has had so much fun visiting the farm and seeing the puppies and "ne ne ne's" as she calls the horses. She has gone to riding lessons a few times with her cousins and is just amazed at the horses. (I don't see this turning out too well in my favor). She had some fun at another library class but I'm glad it ended before germ season really started. We have been shut ins since about 2 weeks ago when she completed all her shots. Ella is also anxiously awaiting Nanie to get home from the hospital (was pretty sick but is doing much better) so Ella can share a story with her and get spoiled with treats! Hopefully we can fill this turkey up on Thanksgiving :) Enjoy the new pictures and hopefully we have some new ultrasound pictures soon!
Well Ella is in love with the fall! She adores all of her pumpkins and ghosts and looking at the leaves. She is so in love with her little pumkins that she feeds them with her baby bottle! She enjoyed waving "bye" to all the balloons at the balloon festival. She just completed another library class and made some new friends, and found the fun in play doh!! We took her today to Sunnyside Farm for a train ride, haunted hayride and pumpkin patch and she was in heaven! Not to mention Mommy carted her around in a wagon and got a chocolate chip cookie! We are excited to see our little duck on halloween, pictures to come soon.....
Ella had her 15 month appt on Thurs and she is now 33" and 26.7lbs. The doctor thought she was doing very well (until her 3 shots that is). We did discuss the dreaded dentist and I think Ella will be going this fall (should be interesting)! The day got better though because Ella went to the fair and got to see all her animals and moo, baa and nee at them :)
She was so excited she fought a nap for about 4 hours until she finally caved in! I guess up next is the Balloon Festival and hopefully some more library classes.....
The summer has gone by so quickly, we can't believe its the middle of August. We have been quite busy....Miss Ella was very happy to welcome her new baby cousin Johnathon Henry. We have been down to NJ to see him twice and she says "baby baby baby". She loves to take care of her little babies, I wonder if thats a hint...... We have been spending some time at the Children's Museum in Saratoga, Ella goes from a tea party to the construction site :) And of course the park so she can visit her duckies. Our nightly walks are getting a little warmer but we still enjoy them. Ella loves other little kids and will get in on a play date whenever possible. We do get a few days here and there together as a family to just stay home and relax and those days get us excited for the fall and hopefully a slower schedule. Our vocabulary is growing, the other day I asked Ella if she wanter her milk and she said "get it". (don't know what i was waiting for). She has a check up August 27, so we will have some updated stats then. Right now she is sitting on my lap as a thunderstorm woke her up. She says "night night". What a summer it has been so far. Ella was off to Maine with my family for almost a week. She had a lot of fun even though it wasn't the greatest weather. She did love the beach and all the sea gulls were "duckies". She became fascinated with shoes because we bought her crocs and some new sandles while we were there so she likes to show them off and say "shaaa" and "soosie". As you can see she enjoyed her first ice cream cone (mostly to herself). She was then off to camping with Justin's family, which we also ran in to bad weather and came home early. However she enjoyed herself while we were there with her cousins, the beach and smores. It's been nice to spend some time with our families. She has been going to the playground a lot lately, loves the swing and teeter totter. She also frequents the park to torment the ducks and go on the merry go round. She screams when we get off, so I am better off pre paying the lady a few bucks to keep going :) She started brushing her hair which she thinks is so funny this week. She is "mooing" at her cows and is quite obsessed with animals. Justin takes her to the farm a lot and she just gets beside herself. She is so sweet petting Jeter (or should I say Jete Jete). Oh we are having so much fun, and to think last year at this time was sooo different! Thanks for checking our new pics. Ella is now waiting for little cousin #5 to be born. Uncle Erik and Aunt Beth are due Aug 3, but Ella and Mommy think it will be Aug 7 ;) Ella is enjoying the nice weather. And yes she did have a pony ride and loved it :) She graduated from swimming class, and it was sad for me :( (her first graduation). But by the end she was kicking and scooping, so we are looking forward to vacation to get her back in the water. She is in a "Walking Wonders" class at the library so she is reading, singing and dancing Wednesday nights. There was another little boy there she was so happy to see she chased him to the door and he was banging to get out (kinda sad). She is a busy little bug, and by the end of the day we are exhausted, but glad she is so active ( I guess ). Stay tuned for pics from vacation :) Ok so Ella is walking everywhere now. She is really motoring but gets so excited sometimes that she just lunges towards us. She is still a little wobbly so we are constantly walking behind her. She got her first pair of Nikes and she is getting use to them. Her vocabulary has grown to Mama, Daddy (with 2 t's), Uh-oh, baby, pretty, giggle, bubble, doggie, hi, bye, ball and nana. The other half of the time she is speaking what we call "Ellanese" her own language :) On a sad note we had to say good bye to Bubba this past Tuesday after a long fight with cancer. However Ella got to give him one last kiss and she actually said "Bubba", it broke our hearts. So she did bring some much needed smiles and laughs to the family this past week. She is so happy to be outside for walks, blowing bubbles and pushing her doll stroller. At her one year appt she is 24lbs and 30" (off the charts for height) which we figured, but we are now buying her 24 month jeans!!! We are gearing up for Maine in June, camping in July and a new baby cousin in August. Ella is doing great at swim class, and I think made a new little boyfriend Hayden. They shared the magic carpet and slide together. But she is not leaving fingernail prints in my chest anymore and splashing around so I know she is getting more use to the water. Thats all for now, thanks everyone for a great first year and first birthday :) Ella walked today, she took 5 steps by herself to Daddy who was on the floor. We started clapping so she just started laughing! (very cute). I guess she really wanted to wait until she was 1 to walk. Which by the way the party was so much fun (despite a few bumps in the road) and Ella was a cute little hula girl. We promise to have some pictures up soon, she has her 12 month check up tomorrow. Sleep tight, I know our birthday girl is :) Ella is almost a year old! We are amazed how quickly it has gone by. We celebrated a wonderful Mother's Day (after recovering from the stomach bug). Ella is so close to taking a step, she is balancing herself pretty good right now (and I don't even think she realizes she is doing it). She is loving our evening walks and seeing all the other little kids outside. She started swim class 2 weeks ago (the jury is still out on that) we are hoping she gets a little more comfortable with it :) As the summer approaches we are getting busier but hope we get to see a lot of you soon! And a message to Baby Jason COME OUT ALREADY!!!! Ella is ready to meet you :) Where do I start.....Ella enjoyed her first Easter, she had three easter egg hunts and made out pretty good! She loved finding her cheerios and puffs in the eggs. Of course she wasn't spoiled :) She loved sitting on the Easter bunny's lap and was waving to everyone walking by. With a few nicer days we have spent a lot of time outside in the wagon going for walks. Ella is standing up on her own and balancing herself for a minute (looks more like she's doing the hula hoop) and she just gets so excited, she bursting with laughter (quite funny to watch). I must admit too, when she crawls over to me and pulls herself up my legs I melt inside. That feeling will never get old. She is looking forward to her big 1st birthday. Mommy is already planning a big bash, so get your party shoes (or flip flops ready). Now that Ella is crawling, there is no stopping her. She is doing very well despite the new pearly white additions. She is now getting top and more bottom teeth. She is enjoying a lot of table food, especially science soup from Oma and banana bread from Grandma :) She is very excited to meet all her new friends that will be on their way soon (Jason, Olivia and Sophie, and her baby cousin (no name yet). Ella will be starting her swim class the end of April (should be interesting) but she is now a member of the YMCA so we are hoping to get her in to a few classes and spend some time in the pool and make some new friends. I did bring her to the library (yes Justin picked on me) however she did like it, she even sat in a "big little person chair" and loved it while we read. It would be nice to think we will go every week, but I think that's a stretch! Ella is getting ready for Easter (well getting in to the Easter baskets that is). I can't wait to see her in her Easter dress. Enjoy the new pictures soon to come...
I apologize for my lack of consistency with the website. I know someone who's really cute that keeps us quite busy! Miss Ella is 9 months old now! She is doing very well, she is busy now that she has mastered this crawling thing. She is quick and keeps me on my toes. I turned my head for a second the other day and she was pulling herself up on her toy basket. She had her first plane ride to California for Uncle Erik's wedding. Flying out wasn't bad at all, she fell asleep, but we won't talk about the ride home :) At her 9 month appt she was 21.9 lbs and 30" long (oh my gosh she is 2'6") she is catching up to Daddy :) She is eating some table food and loving it, she likes her fruit and her new thing is her pasta. For a little girl she can eat! We were spoiled and teased by the nice weather this weekend, she was outside both days in her sunglasses and loving it. Speaking of, we do have alot more pictures from our trip and just everyday cute ones that I will update as soon as I figure out this new computer. Thanks for your patience and only 11 days until spring! We all had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed our first Christmas with Ella. She had alot of fun with her family and unwrapping her presents. As you can see by the pictures she might have been a little spoiled! We have enjoyed watching all the fun new things she is doing. She is crawling.....backwards :) She has finally realized she can splash in the tub and gets a kick out of that. Justin got me a video camera for Christmas so we have caught alot of these on tape. I swear she said "hi" to my parents last night, but the jury is still out. I have had a bad cold, but fingers crossed Ella and Daddy haven't gotten it yet. We go back on Jan 15 for more shots. So in the meantime we are enjoying watching Ella and her new toys, until a mild day comes and she can go outside on her sleigh. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year! Ella's stats on her 6 month appt. Height: 28 1/2 Weighing in at 18lbs 15oz She did awesome. The doctor said she is nice and strong and developing well. She loved Ella's pearly whites and gave her a little vitamin with flouride for her big girl teeth. The shots weren't that bad this time and it might have helped that Mommy bought her a toy reindeer too :) We go back in one month for 2 more shots. Hope to have some Christmas pictures to share soon! Ella is 6 months old already! She has been doing wonderful, more fun everyday. We had a great Thanksgiving (Ella even tried some real squash) and was quickly acquanited with "black friday" with Mommy. She is trying her best to crawl and sitting up pretty well. She helped decorate the Christmas tree tonight. We have her 6 month appt on Tues so we will have another update then with pictures from Turkey day and Ella's friend Addisyn. We are looking forward to Ella's first Christmas, I get a little teary over Christmas music this year. We are so silly, we are hiding her Christmas presents :) Hope everyone has a great holiday and check the mail for a cute little Christmas card!! Wow, time has flown by. Ella is now 5 months old. We enjoyed out first fall with our little pumpkin, as you can see we have been pretty busy. Ella is just so much fun, we enjoy our days together so much. She is doing excellent, at her last appt she weighed 16.8 and was 27". She got her two bottom teeth and one is now coming in on the side. She tolerated teething pretty well. She loves her highchair and has had squash, sweet potatoes, rice cereal, bananas and carrots. She is a bit of a messy eater, but that makes her even more cute. Ella's first Halloween was very fun! Justin and I had the day off and we spent all afternoon trick or treating! As you can see Ella was a Hershey Kiss and was ever so sweet. She is so animated and is quite the chatterbox, I really don't know where she finds the energy, but wants to just "get up and go" all the time. She will really only sit still to eat, watch Baby Beethoven and fall asleep in the evening. We have both found ourselves being overwhelmed with our love for Ella. With the holidays approaching we are even more thankful and excited to share this special time with our girl. I will try to be better about the website in the coming weeks :)
