1/31/08- Hello family and friends! I hope everyone is having a great year so far. It has been a good one for us. I got to see my very first SNOW! It was so much fun playing in it and making snow angels and throwing snowballs at Daddy. We had two snow days and I got to go out and play both times. Mommy is trying her best to get my pictures section caught up finally. She has lots of pictures from the snow along with all the pictures from the end of last year to add so be patient and she will have them all up soon. There is a cool new feature in the pictures section where you can add comments to pictures if you want, so give it a try. We have two new babies in the family now!! Mommy's cousins, Josh and Brandi, had their baby girl, Joshlynn, on January 9th. Elijah is a proud big brother and Joshlynn is very cute! My new cousin, Baby Jacob, is here now too. He was born on January 25th at 2:54pm. He weighed 7lbs 3oz and was 21 inches long. He's adorable! I didn't get to see him up close yet, but the nurses let me sneak a peak through the double doors at the hospital. He has a little bit of fuzzy blonde hair and chubby cheeks. He looks alot like Uncle James. Aunt Joanna did well with the labor and delivery and they all seem to be adjusting well at home now. As for me, I am officially POTTY TRAINED!! Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me. I haven't worn a pull up in a really long time. I guess I am trying to be a big girl so I can show my baby sister what big girls do. Baby Shayna only has three months left in Mommy's tummy and then she will finally be here. It's a good thing because I think if Mommy's belly gets too much bigger she may fall right over! LOL Mommy is trying to get my room decorated now so that Shayna and I can share. I got a brand new bed and Mommy is buying Shayna and I pretty matching bedding with dragonflies on it. Our room is going to be beautiful. Mommy is in the middle of her quarter at school now. She only has one left to go! Next quarter, she will be doing an internship at her boss' Design company and she is very excited. Here's a link to the company's website: They are always doing something interesting and exciting. Daddy is a candidate for captain position with his job. His boss said that he is one of the top choices, so hopefully he will get the position. We know he would do very well! Anyway, that is what's going on with our family. We love you and miss you all!

XOXO & God Bless,
Taylor

12/07/08 - Hi everybody! I hope you all are enjoying the cold weather that has finally made it's way here for Winter. It seems like just yesterday I was trick-or-treating and eating turkey. I can hardly believe Christmas is right around the corner! I am so excited. I have been a very good girl this year so I can't wait for Santa to come and visit me! Hasn't this year flown by so quickly? It sure has for our family. Mommy has been very busy with school. She only has two quarters left and she will finally be a college graduate! Daddy is busy working very hard with his job. I have been very busy growing up! I am learning so much now. I can tell you the name of the city I live in, the president's name, my birthday, I know names of colors in spanish and I can tell you when the baby is due! Speaking of the baby, if you didn't know already, I am going to be a big sister!!! I am so happy that I will have some company at home besides Mommy and Daddy. We are going to find out next week if the baby is a boy or girl. Mommy and Daddy already have names picked out for each. The baby's name will be either Shayna Leigh, for a girl, or Jordan Anthony, for a boy. Mommy says she can feel little flutters in her tummy but no kicking yet. I think I am going to have to get used to being around babies, because Aunt Joanna and Uncle James have a baby in January, Mommy's baby is due April 29th, and we just found out that Uncle Philip and Aunt Kelley are expecting a baby in August!! I say the more the merrier! Well, I hope that everyone has a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year too! I want to wish everyone as much happiness and love in 2008 as we are expecting!

OXOXO & God Bless,
Taylor

04/08/07- It was another great Easter this year. I did so many fun things. Let's see, I got to go to the largest egg hunt in the world at Stone Mountain. It was VERY crowded to say the least and the eggs were all over the place in the wet grass from the rain, but it was still so much fun. I got to meet the Easter bunny and have my picture taken with him. After that, I got to go meet the characters from Veggie Tales and.... Dora and Diego!! Mommy and Daddy were laughing at me because I just had to take a sneak peak in Dora's backpack. I know she has lots of cool things in there!

Another fun thing we did this year, which is tradition of course, was dying eggs. Daddy did most of it, because I would make too big a mess, but I observed closely and made designs with my crayons on the eggs before they were dyed.

I got to go on another egg hunt at a church not too far from Nana's house too. It was FREEZING cold that day, but that didn't stop me from having fun. I got to pet some farm animals and a cute little baby lamb. I got to ride a pony for the first time!! And I was able to get in an inflatable obstacle course with Daddy and Aunt Jo and a bouncy tent.

On Easter morning, I woke up and went on a search for my Easter basket. The Easter bunny likes to hide it from me at our house. I finally spotted it inside my Dora tent. The Easter Bunny was very good to me this year. I got paints, lots of candy, a new book, and last but, not least, I got just what I told the Easter Bunny I wanted, Chicken Little!! I'm glad he listened well! :) After that, we went to church where Papa works as a Youth Pastor and we had a nice relaxing Easter day.

Happy Easter everyone and to all the family I didn't see, hugs and kisses. I missed you all very much!

04/03/07- I went pee pee in the potty 9 times today!! I'm such a big girl now. I had no accidents except for while I was napping, I went poo poo. I'll have to work on that one a little bit more. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of me!!!! I did so well, I barely needed Mommy to bribe me with candy :P

12/25/06- I just had my 3rd Christmas and it was a blast! I'm happy I wasn't sick because last year I spent Christmas Eve in the ER. That wasn't any fun. This year we decided to do a few things differently to keep the traveling down on Christmas day.

We went down to Macon and spent the day before Christmas Eve with Grandma, Mike, Uncle Michael, Aunt Joy, and my cousin, Hannah. We all exchanged gifts and took advantage of the beautiful, oddly warm, day to go to the park. We had so much fun playing on the slides and swings. I wish I could play with my cousin, Hannah, more often. She's walking now!

After that, we went to Byron to Nene and Paw Paw's new house. It's so pretty! We spent the night there and had a Christmas Eve party the next day. Several friends and family came throughout the day. It was very relaxing and fun. We enjoyed  the best Godiva hot cocoa Paw Paw made with his new cocoa making machine. We all ate yummy barbeque sandwiches and enjoyed the fire pit outside. I got to ride around in my new Dora Power Wheels too! I enjoyed spending time with Memaw and Bob and especially Johnny. I gave him a big kiss on the cheek! I also got to see great aunt Deletta and uncle Jimmy. Nene and Paw Paw's bestfriend's, Gene and Laverne stopped in to visit too. I got to see my great aunt Ellie and my second cousin, Joseph. I also got to visit with my second cousins: Darla, Derek, and Dusty. I miss all of them very much! It was sad to leave, but I'm thankful to have such a big and wonderful family that loves me very much!

On Christmas day, I opened my gifts from Santa. He was good to me! He brought me my first pair of pink Jordan shoes!! I also got a big ball pit to play in. We spent the day at Nana and Papa's house and opened gifts there. I love to spend time with my aunt Jo and uncle James and uncle Chris. We were glad to see Marlon there and we also got to see uncle Philip. We don't get to see him very much now since he lives in Alabama. He moved there to work as a youth pastor. Uncle Phil's fiance, Kelley, was with him too. I'm going to be the flower girl in their wedding in July of next year! Now that Grammy lives with Nana, we got to spend Christmas day with her too. It was so much fun. I got lots of great gifts and we enjoyed a big Christmas dinner that Nana cooked. After dinner, we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus and had cake.

What a great way to spend Christmas, with all my wonderful family and friends!

10/31/06- Halloween was alot of fun. We went down to visit Nene and Paw Paw. They were packing up all of their things to move into their new house in Byron. We just moved into our apartment too! I like it there because I have a nice bedroom with a big closet!

Mommy and Daddy took me Trick or Treating around the neigborhood. Mommy went Trick or Treating in that same neighborhood when she was a little girl. I learned to say "Trick or Treat" this year. My version sounds like, "Tick or Teat". I was dressed up as a Ladybug Princess and everyone thought I was so adorable. I liked wearing my costume, because I'm such a girly girl! While I was Trick or Treating, I wanted to eat all my candy. I didn't understand that I had to wait until later and that made me pretty upset. I still had fun though.

After we got done, Daddy, Uncle Chris, Aunt Joanna, Marlon, Charlie, and Uncle Dillon all dressed up and scared the big kids. They dressed up as Freddy Kreugar, Michael Meyers, Scream, Jason, and a vampire. They were scaaaaary! I knew who everyone was, but they still made me nervous.

Happy Halloween!

Love, Taylor

9/23/06- We had Taylor's birthday party today and it turned out fantastic! We had a Dora Fiesta complete with Mexican food and Paw Paw even wore a sombrero hat and poncho! LOL Over 40 friends and family showed up to celebrate! I was so happy that so many people were able to come. Taylor had a blast playing with all of her 2nd cousins!! She had her own cake again this year and she had a good time sharing it with her baby cousin, Hannah. It was Hannah's first time trying cake so she enjoyed it quite a bit! All the kids did a Pinata afterwards. Taylor's one year old second cousin, Elijah, was the one that pulled the string that made the candy come down! He had such a cute, surprised look on his face. Taylor got so many incredible gifts too. Thank you all for being so generous! She is set on Dora toys for quite a while now!! I just want to thank everyone for making Taylor's 2nd birthday so special! It wouldn't have been the same without everyone. It was a day we won't forget!!

Fun Weekend!

09/10/06- We had a really fun weekend. Mommy and I went to our first MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting at Dunwoody Baptist Church. I was in Moppets while Mommy met the other moms. I did really good. I didn't even get upset that Mommy left until she came back and I realized she was gone all that time, then I started bawling my eyes out. I did have fun playing with the other kids and I'm pretty excited about making some new friends. Mommy said she is also looking forward to making new friends and hearing the guest speakers at the meetings. After we left, Mommy, Daddy, and I went down to Warner Robins to visit family. We stayed over at Nene and Paw Paw's house. They had a good time playing with me and spoiling me too. Friday night, we had dinner with Nana and Papa. We ate at Daddy's favorite place in Warner Robins, Jalisco's Mexican Food. On Saturday, we went to our church property and helped Nene and Paw Paw set up for the annual Freedom Fest. After we set up, we headed over to Josh and Brandi's house for Elijah's first birthday party. He's my very cute little second cousin. There were so many kids there and I also got to see some of my aunts and uncle and other second cousins. We really had alot of fun. Elijah is walking good now and it looked like he had a good time. I tried to open up some of his gifts, but Mommy said I have to wait until my birthday. Good thing I only have two weeks left until mine! I think I would have fun opening gifts. Mommy, Brandi and Brittany were trying to get Elijah and I to take a picture together, but that wasn't working too well. Elijah was getting upset and I was trying to get away and I bumped my head on the table. We'll have to get a rain check on that picture. We sang Happy Birthday to Elijah and I even sang to him myself. Here's my version, "Hap Bir to you, Ha Bir to you!" We got to see him taste a little of his cake before we had to go. It looked very yummy. When we left, we headed back over to Freedom Fest. There were tons of things to do for kids. There were pony rides, a bouncy tent, slip and slides, and a train ride! I wanted to ride the little pony, but the line was too long. I did get to ride the train. I kept saying, "Choo Choo!" It was alot of fun. I also got icecream and a hotdog. At night, the band, Casting Crowns, played. They were awesome! Then before it was all over we watched fireworks! It was alot of fun. Sunday we just relaxed and then headed back to Atlanta. What a weekend!

Taylor, the Baby Einstein!!

6/03/06- It's been a while since I have updated everyone on all of the new tricks that Taylor can do these days so I thought I needed to brag a little.  This child is so smart, it's incredible. She can count to ten now!!! I can barely believe it. First, we noticed she was counting to five and then she just continued to count all the way to ten!! One of the cutest things she says is "Bless you," when someone sneezes. This child knows her manners too. She says, "please" and "thank poo." LOL  I think she's learning that when she says please, it's hard for people to resist so she says please often! She also makes alot of animal noises. She knows what a cow, duck, kitty cat, turkey, frog, lion, doggie, and a sheep say. I am trying to teach her colors now and she can say them all, she just doesn't know the difference yet. Speaking of colors, coloring is her favorite hobby right now. She's always asking to "Cuyer, Cuyer!" I think she might have some of Mommy's creativity too! She also blows her food when it's hot. She's a climber!! She loves climbing onto the couch to sit and watch tv or climibing in the chair to color. Her favorite shows on tv right now are: Barney, Backyardigans, Wonder Pets, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Spongebob, Boobah and of course..... D D Dora as she calls it!! She's such a mess!! I can't believe how much she is learning. It's amazing. She's such a little sponge. Thank you for reading!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

5/14/06- Today was my second official Mother's Day. I can tell you that being a mom has been an amazing experience. It is the funnnest and most rewarding thing I have ever done. My life's biggest goal is the be the best Mother that I can be to my children. I think I have done a pretty good job so far with Taylor, so I will give myself a pat on the back. I hope God continues to show me how to love Taylor and raise her to be a great woman one day!

I have been blessed with two Mom's in my life. To both of you, thank you for everything you have contributed to my life. I wouldn't be the woman I am without the two of you who have loved me so much!! To Anthony's mom, thank you for raising him to be such a wonderful man! To Memaw and Grammy, the two of you have made such a positive impact on our lives as well!! Thank you for being good Mothers and Grandmothers and now Great-grandmothers to Taylor!! Taylor used the potty!!

5/8/06- Taylor went pee pee in the potty today!!! I went in the bathroom and she followed me in there so I asked her if she had to go pee pee because she sat down on her potty.  I took her diaper off and read her a book while she was sitting there. When she got up, I didn't think she had went but she did!! I am so proud of my smart girl. She is learning so much. I will have to write later to let you guys know all of the cool things she has learned to do lately. She's so funny!

Stay tuned for my Easter story and Easter pictures. I haven't forgotten about the site, I've just been so busy with school work and my new at home job that I haven't had time for anything lately. Hopefully I will be able to put up a pretty Spring site soon and then I will put up one for mine and Anthony's anniversay on May 29th.

Easter

4/16/06- Our Easter was a so fun this year!! On Easter Morning, Joanna and James went with us to Charlse Stanley's Church. The church is gigantic and beautiful!! Taylor went  in the nursery. The ladies in there were so nice and they said that Taylor was very well behaved and had a good time playing with the other children. Charlse Stanley's message was amazing. He really is one of the best preachers there is!! After church, my Mom and Dad and Dillon came up to visit us. We all took Taylor to play at the park. We walked down by the river. It was a lot of fun. We weren't able to Easter egg hunt this year, but we have big plans for next year to go to egg hunt at Stone Mountain Park! We wanted to go this year, but we had too much planned already. Taylor racked up with all of her Easter goodies though. She got three baskets!! and more Easter goodies. She got one basket from Nana with Precious Moments things in it. She got a basket from the Easter Bunny (Mommy and Daddy;). It had a baby's first bible in it with bubbles, some candy, bunny ears and new pacifiers. She got another basket from Nene and Paw Paw with lots of fun things in it. Memaw also gave her a pretty blue bunny that said a prayer and some blue bunny ears to match! Aunt Deletta gave her a pretty polka dot outfit and a cute-as-a-button bunny. I hope the rest of the family had a nice Easter!! We missed you guys!!

Six Flags

4/15/06- We went to Six Flags with Anthony's family today. It was a blast!! I think Taylor even enjoyed herself. She is in love with this kitty cat named Silvetser!!! LOL She kept touching his nose and she wanted him to hold her. We got a ton of pictures of Taylor with all of the characters. It was nice to be able to ride the roller coasters with all of the grown ups while Nana watched the munchkin. It's been a while since I've gotten to ride roller coasters. While we were doing that, Taylor and Nana went off to Bugs Bunny world for some kiddie rides. Too bad Taylor was too short for most of them! We all wanted to watch her ride the kiddie swings, but she was just a tad bit too short. Oh well, maybe next year! We all got to ride the Monster Plantation together. That was pretty fun and Taylor was intrigued by all the funny looking creatures in there. That night, we stayed for a christian concert at Six Flags. They were awesome!! After the concert, we rode one last ride, the Carousel. That was fun and a perfect ending to a long and fun day! We we all exhausted by then!!! We had stayed at Six Flags all day long!!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

3/11/06- Today was Anthony's birthday. He had a good one. His family came up from Warner Robins to celebrate and tonight, we took him to the Cheesecake Factory because he loves it so much. We ended up having to wait for almost three hours for a table because there was some kind of highschool dance going on, but we still enjoyed oursleves during the wait and it gave me some time to get plenty of pictures. Taylor was being the biggest wiggle worm. I don't blame her though. A three hour wait is a long time for a small child that is hungary. We kept having to let her walk up and down the side walk by the restaurant. She has lots of energy! We all enjoyed our delicious food and then we sang Happy brithday to Anthony and Kelley, Philip's girlfriend. We got to meet her for the very first time this weekend and she's such a sweet girl! Anthony had his Godiva Chocolate cheesecake. The food was delicious once again and I think Anthony enjoyed his birthday dinner. Anthony wore his brand new shirt he got for his birthday. It's a long sleeve pink American Eagle shirt that we got for only $10 at this cool discount department store we found. Anthony also got another navy blue and baby blue layered shirt, yellow Chaps shirt and a pair of American Eagle shorts, all for very good prices.  I hope you had a good birthday Babe, and Happy Birthday to Kelley too!

Valentine's Day

02/13/04- We celebrated our Valentine's tonight since I have classes on Tuesdays. We decided a nice restaurant would be a great idea. We went to a place called Stoney River Legendary Steaks, and the food was delicious!! I actually had steak and I loved it, which is odd for me because I am not a big steak person. I ordered a center cut sirloin with blue cheese topping and garlic mashed potatoes... mmmm! The bread that they brought out was my absolute favorite though. We all loved it. It was poppy seed corn bread served with cinnamon honey butter. I coulddn't give Taylor enough of itl!! We shared our desert which was a triple sliced cheesecake. It was three different kinds... very good. The waitor was so nice to Taylor too. He brought her a free bowl of ice cream. We really enjoyed our Valentines dinner.

Anthony and I exchanged gifts last night. He really suprised me. He picked out some really pretty silk pajamas for me with a matching silk robe and some chocolates with a really sweet card. I got him an American Eagle white pullover sweater and some Godiva chocolate candy bars. He loves his Godiva chocolate!!

Update on school: I am doing awesome so far. I have made straight A's on everything. Next week, I will be having midterms, so I am halfway through my first quarter already. Taylor is doing great with Anthony at home while I'm gone. For a little bit, she was having some separation anxiety because of me leaving, but I think she is starting to adjust to it. She does so good for Anthony. I think she even listens to him a little better than me. He was telling me the other day that now when she sees him grab a diaper and the wipes, she lays down for him right away. I usually have to chase her down!! lol ...But they are having a good time and Daddy is getting to change plenty of dirty diapers, which I hear about in full description each Tuesday and Thursday. lol They play together and have a good time!!

I hope all of you have a great Valentines like we did!
