Happy Easter Ella, Lauren, and Spencer. Sure looking forward to your visit. We'll get started on the list tomorrow. Please send flight info.. love, pop -terry thompsonDad is great...he gives us chocolate cake! -uncle martyElla's little video clips are the best...I think they could be commercials. She's just adorable no matter what she is doing. Can't wait to see her in her little flower girl dress!!! -AllisonOk, this is the cutest video clip yet. I love her stirring and rolling. Thank you soooo much for keeping us out-of-town grandfolks connected with this precious little girl. She's so serious as she cooks or bakes....and the little voice like an angel. Spencer, it looks like you've got another sou chef in the making. Just wanted to say thanks again. Can't wait to see SKT and Ella A. for her first baseball game in Houston. love, pop - terry thompsonYou are too cute Ella...we love you! - Sam & AllisonHappy Halloween, Ella. Storms in Houston meant few visitors last night, so I've still got lots of candy to bring you next time I see you!
Nice costume! Uncle Marty - MartyLook in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Ella! V. cute, you guys. Mind you, the advantage to being a "lame plastic princess" is that the princess not only can't wait to put on the costume, she won't take it off until sometime the following September.... We had all manner of t or t'ers here, thanks to a break in the rainstorm (our first real squall of the season)--but no planes in sight. Missing you! XXX S
- SuzJust stumbled upon this while googling...What fun! I don't recall making that butt comment during Ella's birth...YIKES! I'm bookmarking this site and am glad to know that Missouri is okay. Miss you all lots.
Love and blessings, Susie (Dr. "I see the butt" Bobenrieth) - Susie BobenriethOoooh the "I love you/pumpkins" video is TOO CUTE. I am smitten! And I love your post about the baby monitor. Davis babbles constantly in the morning (though none of his syllables actually sound like words yet) and I love it. Can't wait to see this big girl in person one day! xoxo - stefanieHi Lauren! I don't know if you remember me or not -- we went to LSU together. We were in Michelle Masse's nightmarish class together, and I can't remember what else. I have been reading your site since Stefanie (Jordan) told me about it. It is awesome! I love the pictures of Ella, Cooper, and your family, and I look forward to your updates. Ella is beautiful :) I thought I would send you my condolences on your recent move! I hate moving!! I just moved twice in three months -- first from Texas to South Carolina, and then from SC back to Chicago, which is actually my hometown. This was all with three dogs and a bunch of cats -- totally out of control!
Good luck in your new home and email me sometime: houseofpants7@yahoo.com.
Ellen Puccinelli - EllenWow, what a BIG girl!!! So happy to see the new pictures in your new home....we're just slightly jealous of the resident grandfolks. Sure looking forward to more pictures..... Thanks for the "GO BUCKEYES" video clip....ah yes, brainwashing two generations removed. love, Pop - Terry ThompsonJust love the new shoes... and the socks. also, love all of the pictures, especially Cooper and Ella. what a precious moment. They are both in enjoying. Thanks for continuing to tell the wonderul stories and sharing all of the photos for those of us who love you and live across the miles. Love Grammy and MOM-MOM Lindy - JDTHi Spencer and Lauren,
I love hearing all the new things Ella is doing. Love her new pictures!!! Kara loved to climb the stairs at 10mos. and was lucky enough to have 2 boys age 3 and 6 show her how to back down also. She loved doing this by the hour up and back down with the boys. - Sandee LongHi, this is Pop. just read the note about Ella wanting mom to "do do" meaning draw somthing. It took me back to a wonderful day in Spencer's life when he was about 4 years old. I was observing thru a one-way window as he was trying to paint a picture. (water colors, I believe) There was a pile of wadded papers near him on the floor and he was obviously frustrated with himself over his painting. The observant teacher walked over to him and asked, "What are you trying to paint?" and Spence replied, "Godzilla!" His frustration, I surmised was coming from not being able to make the picture look like the real thing. The teacher then asked him, "Why don't you paint a picture of Godzilla's brother?" Spencer asked, "What does Godzilla's brother look like?" The teacher, in a moment of brilliance said, "Nobody knows." Spencer began to paint enthusiastically, creating a glorious monster from his liberated immagination. Then the teacher wrote on the bottom of the painting,"Godzilla's brother" and Spencer paraded proudly around the room sharing his creation with others. It's one of my favorite "teacher/kid" stories. Spencer's creative spirit has just continued to grow from that time on. Thanks, for a place to share. love, Pop - Terry ThompsonGlad to see Ella figured out the proper end of the toothbrush to use! Can't wait to get my fingers in there! What an amazing thing you have created...(Ella AND this web site) What a lucky kid. It is obvious from the photos that she knows how much she is loved and how much you wanted her to be here. Don't we wish that were true for everyone! You two are amazing and I am fortunate to know you. Spencer, thatnks for bringing Ella in to meet us the other day. Sorry to have missed Lauren. Thanks for the peek into your lives and as always....don't forget to floss! - Vonda (from Dr. WIley's ofc)Dear Ella Aubrey. Just wanted to let you know that hearing you say my name, "Pop" on the phone Monday night was the highlight of my day, no week, no year!!! I know your mom and dad were there coaching you...and that I bribed you by singing "The Itsy, bitsy spider" song you love so much, but I'm thrilled anyway. I love your new pictures on the Ella web site. Thanks to your mom and dad for updating it so often. Those of us grands so far away really appreciate it. Love to you my precious little bug, Pop - Terry ThompsonHer photos are wonderful, you two. Well, her face is wonderful--the photos really capture that. I can't wait to attempt a snuggle (the weekend after this!). Her birth story really made me choke up, Lauren. It's so nice to read the details and to feel like I know just what you're talking about in some portions--things I'd forgotten about in my experience. Thank you for sharing Ella with us. - Auntie TWhat a beautiful baby!!!! Spencer, I'm so proud of you. - Annie ALauren, what a beautiful brith story. I am totally amazed that you can remember all of the details. I was there, was not going through all of the personal trauma of having sweet Ella, and I can only remember about 70% of the details. What a wonderful story teller you are. The one detail that I am able to completely confirm is that the hospital really was 100 miles from your house - or so it seemed in the middle of that rainy night. AND, every mile was well worth the effort. Thanks Lauren and Spencer for bringing our dear Ella into this world. - Grandma June
It's amazing - one picture made me exclaim "She looks JUST LIKE LAUREN!" and then in another "No she doesn't! She's her father ALL OVER AGAIN!"
Beautiful beautiful girl! And sounds like she is lots of fun! - Kristen
the nurse in the hospital told us that our baby girl was the duchess. She then winked and said they don't become the princess until the learn to say "no." (the emphatic the no, the better). It looks like Ella has promoted herself. My daughter Abigail did this a long time ago. Congratulations on your promotion Ella, way to go. Under this scenario, Spencer and Lauren are still the King and Queen. Don't worry the "no-ing" tones down as they approach four. (It peaks at 2 1/2.) - Don S.
Happy Birthday to Ella, Happy Birthday to Ella, Happy Birthday beautiful Ellllllllla! Happy Birthday to you... We love and miss you very much. Love from Uncle Aaron and Aunt Cristi. - Uncle Aaron and Aunt Cristi
Hi Ella Aubrey, Spencer and Lauren. I am thinking about you a lot this Christmas season. I know you'll be in Missouri seeing others in the Grand Parent fan club. But, as far as I'm concerned, you, Ella are the best gift I've received in this year. So, We'll see you in February for a week of hugs and kisses. Love and Merry Christmas. Pop (Thompson) - terryt
This is one of my favorite web-places in the whole internet world. Ella is so beautiful, and you seem so happy! I hope that I will get to see all three of you sometime soon! If you find yourself on the East Coast again, let me know...I would travel great distances to catch up with you, even for lunch.
Love and hugs. - Kristen
Oh, Ella is just beautiful! :) I agree.. she has beautiful big eyes! And how neat that her and Toby share the same birthday. Whatsmore, if Toby had been a she, then we would have named her Ella :) I still plan to use this name for a future daughter :)

Spencer and Lauren and Ella,
Wow, you've done such a great job. Ella is absolutely as beautiful as her name -- which I love. May God continue to bless you. - SuZanne Feather
Dear Ella Happy leap Year day. Just think when it is leap year again, you will be 4 years old. You will be running and playing, talking and singing. And, equally as fun - by that time, you will have your Mom and Dad totally trained. Love you and miss you, Grammy - June
God bless you on your new addition. New babies smell wonderful, don't they?! - Brian (Ivy House) Quinn
One Grandparent's Impression: Ella Aubrey is indeed one of the most beautiful babies ever born. Ella is our fifth grandchild and they are all special. I'm back in Texas now and missing Ella very much. I got the privilege of receiving Ella early in the mornings (during our visit) while Lauren went back for a quick nap. A couple of times that one on one time lasted for nearly two hours. It is time I'll treasure the rest of my life. Ella was awake for some of that time as we studied each other. During these times...both awake and asleep, she would wrap her fingers around my finger. Now I FULLY understand the phrase "wrapped around your finger." I'm hooked. Spencer and Lauren are doing fine work adapting as parents. they are tender and loving and patient and wize (compared to the way I remember parenting infants). Ella has beautiful eyes which at two weeks of age locked on mine from time to time. often she would also lock on some interesting color near by just as intently. One funny ironic trait that Ella Aubrey has is that she passes gas like a __________. well, Ella's middle name "Aubrey" was my father's first name. He would be SOOOO proud of her. We all get a kick out of that but, will promise Not to tell Ella those stories at special transition moments in her adolescent or adult years. Well, as you can tell, We, Grandmother Linda and Pop Thompson are in love with Ella, we're hooked for life and think of this new family every day. SEND MORE PICTURES. terryt
