Dec. 25th, 2009....Merry Christmas!!!! We had such a fantastic day. Would have been made better to go out and play in the snow but Daddy said it was just way too cold. Santa came to see us last night and Torye even talked to him. What a surprise that was when I opened up the door. Mommy made us these really warm blankets and tutu's with matching ones for Ella and BooBoo. It was the BEST Christmas!
May 19, 2009...Well mommy is a little late in getting this updated. But hey better late than never. Natasia is now 3. Man I can not believe that. She is such a joy though we do have our moments but most of the time she is a joy. At her 3 yr check-up Natasia was 3'3" tall and weighed 36 lbs 8 oz. Again she is perfect.
Natasia loves to be outside whether it is swinging, helping daddy or mommy with the yard/garden. Riding with daddy on the lawn tracker. Playing in her sandbox just everything outside. She is getting some better with sharing with her sister. Though we have witnessed a few knock down fits over a doll, but that happens very rarely.
One of Natasia favorite things to do is sing. Whether it is songs she is making up or songs she is learning. She will get up on a chair or the coffee table and proceed to perform. And now her sister is getting into the act. As can be seen in pictures.
All in all 2 was fun 3 can only be better!!!!!
Comments Beth, I know it's a lot of work keeping these websites for the girls. I want you to know how much I appreciate it. It's always such a lift to my day to pop in and see my precious granddaughters! - Janice Moore
Nov 1, 2008...Happy Halloween everyone. Natasia had a really good time last night getting all dressed up and going up to houses for candy. She even remembered to say trick or treat, thank you and happy halloween. Granted we didn't go to far but it was enough for this year. Now to work on getting her over the fear of Santa at least we have about 2 months to work on that.
Oct. 12, 2008...Natasia is 2 1/2 and really becoming the talker. She is saying 5-8 words sentences that you can understand most if not all of what she said. Her upper molars finally dropped in. But now she seems to be working on the next set. Won't this teething ever end. Her favorite foods right now is hot dogs and pizza. And her favorite colors are purple, green and pink. She loves to be outdoors which unfortunately is becoming less and less with it getting dark so early now. She loves Dora, the Wiggles and Cinderella. Her and Torye are really becoming friends and I see Tashia sharing more and more with Torye.
We so enjoy beng able to share like this and we hope you enjoy this as well. Remember to check back every once in awhile to see what they are up too.
July 13, 2008...Yesterday we went to this working farm with grandma and grandpa more. The park board is creating the farm for educational use as well as fun. Tashia had a blast not only getting to see her beloved cows up close but also getting to see and pet other animals. Her new expression when she gets excited is Oh Boy Oh Boy. We heard this alot yesterday. Torye also had a great time. Then we went to Chuck E Cheese which we all had a blast at. It's nice that there is a whole area set up of little kids besides just games for the big kids. We are now searching for a new carseat for Tashia so that Torye can have her old ones. Poor Torye always getting the hand me downs. Tashia has been having a really good time this summer with playing on her swing, swimming in her pool and helping in the garden. Her vocabulary just keeps getting more and more advance. And she loves to help no matter what it is.
June 13, 2008...Tashia is 26 mths and really is a two year old. She can have a complete meltdown one minute and be making you laugh the next. She is really developing in her words and sentences. She is counting to 5 sometimes 15 when she feels like it. Still likes Dora and Wiggles as well as Barney but is getting into Max and Ruby and Thomas the train. She loves being outdoors can you can barely get her in. She loves being in the pool. That makes a good bribe tool. NO Swimming if we don't do this first. She loves to swing and take walks in the woods. And she loves to help feed the pets, especially the dogs. Thanks for checking on us.
April 21, 2008...Tashia had her 2 yr check up last week. NO SHOTS! What a blessing that was. We don't do shots again till she is 4. She weighed in at 29 lbs and was 2'10 3/4" and her head measured 18 3/4". She is right on track with her age group. She did really well with the dr. opened her mouth really wide so the dr could look at her throat. Let the dr. check her ears and listen to her heart and lungs. And she got a sucker and a sticker for being so good. What a great visit this was compared to those in the past.
April 13, 2008...Hard to believe that 2 years ago today Natasia was born. She is really growing up and has such the personality. She is a great joy to be around and can bring a smile to your face instantly. She is putting anywhere between 3-6 words together and repeats most of what you say. She loves to help whether it be with baby sissy or cleaning. She is starting to interact more with Torye which is a good thing. Though eveything is MINE. Not sure which words are worse MINE or NO. Natasia is loves to color and draw and isn't too bad at it. She also loves to dance and sing. I am sure this next year will be an exciting one as she learns to do and say even more. Remember to check on us to see what they are up to.
March 21, 2008...Well this is a little late but better late than never. Tashia is 23 months and quite the talker. She is forming 5 word sentences and can count to 20. She is also the big helper around her. She loves to help be it cleaning or cooking. She even helps with baby sissy. With it getting nicer we are starting to be able to get outdoors which she loves!!!!! Now if we could just get it to be nice more than 1 - 2 days of the week. But spring is getting closer. FINALLY!!!!! We are all looking forward to that. Next month is a big one. Tashia will be 2. Such a big girl. Stay tuned to see what new and exciting things she will learn.
Jan. 27, 2008...Natasia is now 21 mths. Hard to believe. She is getting more and more independent but still wants her momma. Her words are becoming much clearer and easier to understand. And she is forming several word sentences. She loves to build with her blocks and play mommy to ella. It is really cute. She loves to help whether it is helping mommy clean or daddy pick up sticks. We love watching her learn and grow. Check us out next month to see what she will be doing.
Jan 8. 2008...What a memorable night. One I am sure not many around here will forget. On the way home from work the warnings for tornados started. But they were to the east of springfield. Hurried home to get dinner started so we could eat before the excitement started. Rich and the girls got home and I had just dished Tashias out so that it could cool started feeding Torye a bottle when we heard this really load racket outside. Rich opened the backdoor and saw things flying around and the door had a suction like feeling to it. Next thing I know Torye, Tashia and myself are in one closet floor with Rich in another. Lights went out and lots of creeking ,cracking and rattling started going on. Rich called the all clear which seemed like forever sitting there with two screaming babies and in the dark. Once it was over our neighbor called us to tell us to come to his house since he has a basement since more were coming. It became a neighborhood party of sorts since there was several others there. Luckily there was no more that here at the house but several hit around the area. We ended up staying there all night just to be on the safe side.
When we came home and the sun came up we found that we were the lucky ones. The house that sits right behind our next door neighbor lost their roof and part of their house. As well as all the evergreens that are in the photos. Our neighbor straight across from us lost most of the shingles from their house and the ceilings were already coming down in the house. The tornado just barely missed their house. Our next door neighbor lost their dog pin how the dog severed is a miracle. Something fell through the roof of their barn. And they had siding damage. Our damage is minor considering these folks. We had a couple of holes in the siding. Harley's roof to his dog house came off...this thing is really heavy. And we had some big branches. Oh and the trash can flew away only to be found in the woods half way down the hill to the major road.
We figured out that it started by the creek that is about 1/8th to a quarter mile from our house. We were really very lucky. And let me just say that I do not want to go through that ever again. Today Tashia will barely let me out of her site and is really whiny. Bless her heart. But she did really well. We had 62 warnings last night and 15- 30 tornados that went through missouri yesterday. Hard to believe that the ice storm anniversay is in 6 days from today. What is the irony in that.
Dec. 15, 2007...Tashia is now 20 months and becoming quite the little lady or tomboy depends on the day. She is really getting good at forming sentences and can even draw a circle. She loves to help whether with her sister or folding the clothes or cleaning. She is a big help. The other night she helped give Torye a bath and Torye really enjoyed big sisters company. Tashia loves her movies and her books. As well as showing off how well she can dance. Needless to say she is a real hoot can bring a smile to your face. But she does not like Santa Claus one little bit. Guess like mother like daughter since I didn't either when I was little. WE hope everyone has a happy and healthy 2008. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!
Nov. 24, 2007...Today Grandma and Grandpa took us all to the Discovery Center. It was a blast. Daddy and I got to do so many really neat things while mommy ran around taking pictures as well as taking care of sissy. She was a little too little to really have fun but grandma said that we will come back again as a family when she and cuzin matthew is older. Hope mommy and daddy will bring us back again real soon.
Nov. 11, 2007... Natasia will be 19 mths this week. She is really talking up a storm and making sentences. Such as I need more and I will. She is also a big help with sissy. It is really cute if sissy is fussy she walks over and pats her head to quiet her. Tashias ear infection healed up but she than got a touch of an infection of the intestines which I found out is going around. She needless to say last week was not much fun. But she is getting much better and becoming herself again. She is really into wiggles, dora and blues clues.
Nov 2, 2007...Had to take Tashia to the dr today since she has been running a slight fever for a week and just not feeling herself. Glad that we went. Turned out that her ears had some major wax built up and were really red. Though the dr wasn't sure if they were infected she did give us a prescription for an antibotic. Hopefully in a few days she will be all better and back to your usual crazyness.
Oct 26, 2007...A little behind on this. Tashia had her 18 mth dr Oct 15. She of course is perfect as always. Tashia weighed in at 27 lbs and is 2'8" tall. She had to have 2 shots which she did not care for one little bit. And than she had to have her finger pricked for the lead test again. The first time her blood clotted before the test was completed. We have since got the results back and she tested negative for lead. So we were relieved for that one.
Tashia is learning so many new things and words. Her vocabulary is growing by the day. And she is making sentences. Not perfect english but good enough. Some words are Pretty Please, book, read, sissy, eat, i dance, i help, i can't i stuck and that is just a few. She is a really big help with sissy and with whatever chores mommy or daddy is working on. She loves pizza guess she takes after her ol mom on that one. And she loves to dance. She is just a joy and everyday is exciting to see what she will learn next.
Aug 13, 2007...Natasia is 16 mths today. What a big girl she is becoming. Her favorite words now are No in various forms. Two, HI, BYE, Thank you sometimes we get a please and a yes. She loves to sit and look at her books as well as have us read them to her. Unfortunately it has turned so hot that we haven't been able to be outside as much as we all would like. Tashia is not liking that at all. Suppose to cool off some by the end of the week so hopefully we can get out more. Tashia is really getting good with her drawing and knowing colors. Her favorite for today is purple and yellow. She is not sure what to think about sissy. She likes her as long as daddy isn't holding her. We are hoping that will change soon. She has moved into her big girl bed and had been doing really well with it until this week we also hope that will change and soon. But poor Tashia has had so many changes to her life in the past couple of days I know it will take several days/weeks for things to get back to normal. But it will happen. Each day can only get better.
July 29, 2007...Tashia seems to really be getting big these days. She is now sitting in her big girl booster seat at the table. Actually eats better than in the high chair. She is about to move out of her crib into a toddler bed ( as soon as we get it.) She is saying more and more words each week though right now her favorite for everything is NO. She loves to read her books as well as be outside. She loves playing in the water as well and helping in the garden. She is getting 4 more teeth in which will only leave her back molars. Can't wait for the teething to be done. Seems like it is getting more painful to her. Poor little baby girl. At her wellness check up a couple of weeks ago she weighed in at 23 lbs and was 31 inches long. She had to have 5 shots but only really fussed when she was given the shots. Dr of course told us that she was perfect and to keep doing whatever we are.
June 16, 2007...Today we went to Silver Dollar City with Rich's side of the family. Tashia had a really good time and loved the rides though she didn't understand why she couldn't just stay on them until she was done riding. She got tired though of being in the stroller and than the car seat. Basically she got tired of being trapped and unable to run about.
She is getting better at using her fork when she eats as well as drinking out of the sippy cup. We still have several bottles a day but it is of her milk. She had a bout of the flu poor baby girl. And than she got roseola. But is doing great now. She loves being outside and running around as well as helping daddy with the garden. She also likes playing in the water still cautious though when her face gets wet.
Her vobaculary is getting more and more words. Such as kitty and puppy. Hi how you. Yes she said those 3 words the other night to bear the dog. It was hysterical because she looked right at him and said it. She has also started going up and down the steps on the porch by herself with holding on the railing. Oh and she loves to play in her sand pile. She is getting to be such a big girl.
Keep checking on us as I am sure there will be all sorts of more new and exciting things to share.
May 13, 2007...Happy Mother's Day!!! Today was such a GREAT Day!!!! First I got the most wonderful cards from my husband and daughters. Than I was given this beautiful rain gauge that is of turtles. I have placed it in with my roses. Than I was given the cd from Chris Daughtry...excellent cd! But the most fun was going taking Natasia to the zoo for the first time. She really enjoyed the spider monkeys and the timber wolves. Both were being vocal and she thinks that is funny. She also enjoyed these little boys who were feeding the goats in the petting area. She also liked the Ostrich. She did really good though was getting rather tired towards the end. Than this afternoon we spent with daddy outside working in the garden. It was such a great weekend!!!! I hope all the moms had a wonderful day as well.
