Stories Ok, small change in plans.....AGAIN We are back online! We originally decided to cancel internet and cable due to our sky high monthly bill. We were just starting to go through withdrawls, when we got a call from our service provider. He was able to cut $100 off of our bill each month. With a deal like that, we couldn't resist! I will say though, that it was a little more peaceful in the house without the tv or computer on. Maybe from now on, we'll be a little more cautious about how much time is spent (wasted) in front of both. ***Small change in plans*** Tim and I have decided to end our internet service, so unfortunately, we will not be corresponding via the internet anymore. Of course, this means no more baby website either. If you need to get a hold of us for any reason, please call... Kelsey-865.773.7255 or Tim-865.300.3433 9/15/08 Where oh where do I begin!?? Well, let's start off by saying we truly had a wonderful time seeing and spending time with my parents this past week! They flew in for a visit, and we enjoyed seeing their sweet faces and hearing their comforting and familiar voices! I suppose it doesn't matter how old I get, I will always love being around mom and dad! Some of the highlights from our time spent together were...... Shopping with mom Getting side by side pedicures complete with magazines, massage chairs, and our drinks of choice Waking up and drinking coffee together Watching mom, cook for us, clean for us, and do all our laundry! (Thanks Mom!) Now, some of the "lowlights" were........ Getting a flat tire on the way home from the airport. (Yep, we had barely said "hello", when dad had to fix a flat on the interstate) Watching dad have to take mom to the ER for what was quite possibly the worst case of poison ivy ever! Wowee Wowee, what a week! Along with mom, Tim, Beau, and I also got the dreaded poison ivy. Although, the 3 of us didn't get it near as bad as poor Mom! Unfortunately, we didn't get to share our pool with Mom and Dad due to some very green water. We are working on getting it cleared up one last time to enjoy a few last swimming days before fall sets in. Can you believe I hardly took 1 single picture the whole 9 days that they were here!?? If you said yes, then well, I don't blame you! :) Anyways, I actually brought it along with us when we went out for dinner one night, but of course it died on me right after taking the first picture! I guess I'll just have to cement all the images in my head so I don't forget them! Well, Mom has only been gone for a few hours and the house is already a mess! So, I guess I better resume my role and get cleaning! Love to you all! Oh, and I'm thinking of starting a blog instead of this website. I'll let you all know if and when I do so you can continue getting the updates! Ta Ta! Oh, and one more thing......My beautiful cousin Rebekah, her husband Grant, and their 3 children sought refuge in Austin, TX during Hurricane Ike. Their lovely home is in League City, right inbetween Galveston and Houston. They have gotten word that their home is ok for the most part. They will need a new roof and a new fence, but praise the Lord there was no flooding! Anyways, please keep them in your prayers as they have been "uprooted" for a while. We all know that there is "no place like home", so imagine what it's like not being able to be there! Love you Seeger's! We're praying for you and thinking of you! 8/22/08 What fun we have had! Last night, my dearest friends surprised me with a belated birthday outing! We went out for dinner, and then we piled in a car and went downtown Knoxville and had so much fun walking around, taking pictures, and laughing! Thanks girls, for the great night! Today, we had a photo shoot with our friend and photographer, Ryan Keiter. He did a great job! The boys loved him! He finished 5 pictures this evening, and we'll be getting the rest in a couple weeks. We met downtown and shot for a couple hours. The boys were troopers and were wonderful, but they got pretty tired, hungry, and thirsty by the end. But, I can't wait to see the rest of them! 8/09/08 Wow, it's been a while! Sorry I don't have many new pictures to share! Today was great.....long, but great! We normally head to Dollywood for the day on Saturdays, but since we went yesterday instead, we had the whole day to stay at home and get things done! I got up early (well, 7:30 is early for me) and went garage saling! That was fun. Although, I have to say, it's always a little akward walking up to somebody's yard sale and pretending you're interested in their unwanted junk, while 3 or 4 owners of the junk are watching you. Somehow I managed to escape about 4 sales without feeling too bad about not buying any of their "lovely" items! I did end up finding some nice dress pants for Tim and some really cool big dicast cars for the boys. After returning home with my "finds", I was delighted to find Tim making a delicious hot breakfast. We finished eating, and headed outside to do some yard work. The boys zoomed around on their bikes while Tim mowed the lawn, and I cleaned the basement/garage. I had the biggest urge to take everything in sight and either throw it away, or put it in my car and drop it off at the local thrift store! I can't stand clutter! I did load up a ton of stuff in a large tote and put it on the side of the road with a "free" sign. I also put an ad on craiglist stating that I had a bunch of free stuff and to come and take it. Sure enough, people started rolling by, and my mound of stuff was gone. I love craigslist! While I was down in the basement, I finally got to a task I've been putting off for months. Sorting through unused toys and outgrown clothing. Wow, I didn't realize what a big job the clothing part would be! I'm still not done. I can't even believe how many clothes these boys have worn and outgrown already! Some of the sweet little outfits almost brought tears to my eyes as I thought about the memories of them wearing those things. I will definitely keep some special things, but I'll have to part with the rest. I kept thinking...."Should I sell this?" "Should I give this away?" "Should I sort it out by months and sizes?" "If I do sell this, should I take the time to put it on ebay, or should I just put it on craigslist?" Wow! I barely made a dent in one of the huge totes, and decided to call it a day! I'll need to bring in reinforcements next time I take that project on! Well, the rest of the day was spent cleaning, drinking coffee, doing up every last bit of laundry, (if my washer was a person, it would have died of a heart attack),playing with the boys, and drinking more coffee. So....now that I've successfully posted every detail of our day....(sorry if all that was TMI), I'm going to crash in bed! Love you all! p.s We're getting company!!! Gramee and Grampee are coming the last weekend in August, and Grandma and Grandpa are coming the first weekend in September! The boys will be absolutely rotten by the time all our company is gone! That's ok, I'll take rotten boys if it means spending time with our long distance family! 7/16/08 Just a quick post to show you Tim's room! His friends were so much help in getting the floor tiled! Some crown molding and baseboards, and the room will be done! I had fun shopping for some "manly" accessories. And of course, any opportunity to go shopping is quickly taken! Love you all! 7/11/08 Tim is out with friends for "guy's night", so I thought I'd use some of this peaceful quiet time to update the site! It seems we have been really busy lately. Last week, we went to Dollywood 3 times! The boys love it, and Tim and I love seeing the joy it brings to the boys! I don't think there are many things that bring a parent more joy, than seeing your child/children with huge smiles on their faces and excitement in their eyes! We all know Tim has a "Man Room" down in the basement. Well, the past couple days, Tim and his buddies have been working on getting it finished and ready for the upcoming football season! It is looking great! It was wasted space that we have hardly stepped foot in since we moved in, but now it's turning into a nice room! Tim picked out the tile for his room, and I was so proud of the choice he made! It is all laid, and will be grouted (is that a word?) in the morning. I'll post pictures when it's done. My friend, Heidi, shared a website with me about a family who has recently lost a little girl. It is the most touching and heartwrenching blog I have ever read! Every time she posts, her stories bring tears to my eyes. The mother's name is Angie, and the story of her daughter, Audrey Caroline, has touched so many hearts and lives! Angie is one of the strongest and most faithful Christians I have ever known. Well, at least I feel like I know her from reading her blog. I encourage you all to check out her story and read of her amazing testimony and faithfulness to the Lord! I must warn you, you will need a box of tissues close by! She has beautifully expressed the feelings and emotions that come after losing a child. If you check out her blog, start from the very beginning. (it's like reading a book, you can't just jump in in the middle) Here's the link.......http://audreycaroline.blogspot.com/ I hope that everyone has an amazing 4th of July! While we are all grilling out, watching fireworks, and enjoying time with friends and family, I pray that not one of us will forget the reasons for our freedom! Thank you Lord, for giving us the priviledge to be born and raised in the United States of America! May we never take for granted the freedoms we enjoy each and every day! I am thankful and proud to be an American! I will wear red, white, and blue and if I had a flag, I would wave it! :) God bless our troops, and GOD BLESS AMERICA! Judson Robert Lott is now 2 years old! I'm just in a little bit of denial, but I'll make it! We opted not to have a birthday party, but instead we took the boys to Dollywood (a theme park owned by none other than Dolly Parton herself) and had a great day! Since the boys had so much fun, we bought season passes so we can go whenever we want. The boys enjoyed all the rides in "Kiddie Land". Beau was alot more daring and adventurous than we expected him to be! He even went on the scrambler with Tim! We invited our new friends, Samantha, and her daughter Olivia. Everyone was exhausted by the end of the day, but we're looking forward to doing it again! Call everyone you know, because it is official: I am the worst mommy in the WHOLE WORLD! For two years in a row now, Judson has not gotten a birthday cake! I KNOW! I can't even believe that I'm admitting this to everyone! Last year, we were in the middle of moving, and 3/4 of our house was packed and stored away in the P.O.D out in the front yard. So ,we never through him a birthday party and hence, there was no cake. This year, I was just not on the ball! (Don't worry, we did give him presents!) It almost makes me want to cry to think that he will never have those keepsake pictures of himself cramming cake in his mouth with frosting all over his face and body! I still have plans to make him one, it will just be a little late! And believe me, next year, he's getting the biggest and messiest cake I can make or buy! Judson, you will never read this, but MOMMY IS SOOOO SORRY! Since this journal entry is mostly about Jud, let me just take a minute to fill you in on our littlest guy. He is sooooo sweet! He still loves to cuddle and give kisses, and he is so tender hearted because his feelings get hurt pretty easily! He is the polar opposite of Beau! He is quieter, a little sweeter to be honest, not as crazy and energetic, much more laid back and relaxed, and at this point he still listens to us! Although, tonight, we did see a glimpse of the terrible two's coming out in him! It almost takes me by surprise when Judson is disobedient or naughty because it's so unlike him! I just love him so much and thank the Lord every single day for sending us this little angel! Potty Post: (had to tag this on at the end) This evening, Beau, Judson and I went shopping for a few things while daddy was working late. First we went to Home Depot, and then to Walmart. We were gone for 2 hours, and I'm so proud to say that Beau kept his little undies dry the whole time! I didn't even stop to take him potty at all. And, to top it all off, he has started going poo poo on the potty! That is great progress for us! (thanks for the advice Grandma!) Beau rarely has any accidents here at home, but I still get a little nervous when we go outside a 50 ft. radius of the potty! (a.k.a- the comfort zone) The next big step towards being completely potty trained, is making it through the nights and nap times without having to wear a diaper! 6/22/08 Vacation was great! We did lots of fun things! It was so great being there with Tim's parents. Gramee and Grampee were great company and babysitters! Thanks Bob and Marlene! We kicked off the week with a trip to PA to attend Bob and Marlene's 40th anniversary and wedding vow renewal ceremony. It went beautifully! Beau and Jud were Grampee's little groomsmen and stood by his side through just about the whole ceremony! Towards the end, Jud decided it would be more fun if he could run back and forth to different people along the front pews, but thankfully he was not too terribly distracting and I don't think anyone minded! For some reason, I didn't even take one picture of that whole day, but thankfully, Janelle gave me a cd of all the pictures so I'll be able to put some on here. We enjoyed spending some time with Tim's brother Brian, his wife Niki, and their beautiful (and I mean BEAUTIFUL) daughter, Halle! She is 7 months old already and has everyone's hearts wrapped around her finger! What a special blessing she has been to the whole family! What a little cutie pie and sweet pea! While we were still in PA, Tim and I spent one whole day together at Kennywood (a theme park), and walking around downtown Pittsburgh. We had such a great time just being alone together and doing things we'd never be able to do with the boys! One of our favorite parts of that day, was finally being able to visit the coffee shop that our favorite coffee comes from! It was so cute! Our next adventure was driving to New Jersey. We got to see many neat things on our way there. We saw Amish people plowing in their fields and riding in their horse drawn buggies. We also saw the field where the Battle of Gettysburg was fought in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I just loved driving through all those historic towns. They had so many neat houses and each town was like a piece of history. Our last leg of the trip was spent at Wildwood, New Jersey and Cape May, New Jersey. We enjoyed 4 lovely nights there. The boys LOVED the seashore! They would've spent all their time in the sand if we would've let them! Grampee was the best playmate and sand castle builder! It was wonderful waking up and looking out at the ocean every morning as we drank our coffee. The air smelled so much better there! Tim and I visited an old lighthouse and climbed all the way to the top. The view was breathtaking but our pictures don't do it justice! We did lots of eating out, shopping, and relaxing on the beach! All of those things put together is my definition of a perfect vacation! We're already looking forward to planning next year's summer vacation! Maybe it will even be at the same place! Yesterday we spent the whole day in the car driving back home. We said goodbye to the ocean at about 10:00 am, and arrived at home at 12:30 am this morning. The boys were troopers and we were so thankful to have such good little travelers! Of course, it helped to have a stack of dvd's handy at their request! When we were about 70 miles out of Knoxville, we were both really sleepy, so we pulled over at a rest area, did some jumping jacks, and played the "20 questions" game the rest of the way home so we'd stay awake! It worked! We made it home and we were all glad to be back in our own beds! 6/19/08 Well, it is official: I want to live at the ocean! We are having such a great time here and I'm already bummed about having to go home on Saturday! I posted a few pictures to give you an idea of what we've been up to. I'm using someone else's wireless so our connection is pretty slow. I'll have to wait and post the rest of our pictures when we get back home. This morning we saw a pack of dolphins playing and swimming near by. Beau and Jud are having a blast building sand castles with Grampee. It's hard to catch a picture of one of their masterpieces before Beau smashes it to pieces! If only I could bottle up this fresh ocean air and take it home with me! I'd also love to take this amazing ocean view home with me too! We have had so much fun so far, and I can't wait to share with everyone the neat and exciting things we've been doing. Love to you all and kisses and hugs from Cape May, New Jersey! I would love a fresh fruit smoothie right now! It is HOT outside! today the car temperature gauge read 99 degrees as we were driving to the pool place to inquire about getting a new filter. Yes, we've discovered the reason we can't get our water crystal clear like last summer is because we need a new filter. Anyways, a few phone calls later to every pool place in town, we found out that nobody carries the model we need. So, in the mean time, until we get a new one, we are swimming in cloudy water. I don't even care. It's so hot outside and cloudy water or not, we are going to be in the pool! Tim and I were naughty and did not put on sunscreen today, so now we are paying for it! Well, we are counting down the days until vacation! We will be leaving Knoxville this Friday! I better not forget our camera charger so I can capture all these fun memories we will be making! Well, it's Saturday evening and Sunday's are always crazy around here, so I better run and get clothes ironed and diaper bags packed for the morning! I even made white chocolate and chocolate chip cookies to bring to our Sunday School table! Hope everyone remembers to bring their coffee! 5/28/08 Last night, Tim and I were sitting out on the deck when we heard some REALLY loud frogs! We looked at each other and even though it was dark, we walked over to the pool and sure enough, there were a bunch of little froggies having a little party in the pool! We scooped them out with the big net on a pole and put them down in the grass. (We didn't want them to get sucked into our filter) As we were fishing out the frogs, an owl flew by and landed on the pool ladder. It then took off and dove down for one of the frogs. I have to admit I was a little sad for the frogs, but it was really neat to see an owl just 2 feet away! So, that was our little Dicovery Channel adventure in the back yard. This morning, one of the frogs was still hanging out on the deck, so I snapped a picture. Jud and I stayed home from church this evening since I wasn't feeling well, so I thought I'd take the opportunity to get some pictures of him. I think you can tell from the pictures that he was enjoying his time alone with Mommy! He even let me trim up his hair a little. He's growing up so much! Well, Tim and I celebrated our 5th anniversary last Friday! 5 years already! I think I can speak for him too and say that we're both looking forward to 50+ more! Each year that goes by, I feel like I couldn't possibly know him or love him more, but then somehow I do! Ok, enough mushy stuff...... The boys are doing great and they have become both "best buds" and "worst enemies"! The more they play together and laugh together....the more they fight together! But, can't say I wasn't expecting that! Jud will be 2 in just a little over a month! He is growing and quickly closing the gap in height between he and Beau. We are looking forward to Tim's Aunt Kathy coming to visit us tomorrow! It will be good to catch up and see a familiar face from home. We are also looking forward to our trip to the ocean next month! We are celebrating Bob and Marlene's 40th wedding anniversary in PA, and then off to the east coast for vacation! We have rented a beach house on the water and we're going to do nothing but have fun and relax for about a week! Can't waaaaaaaaait! Does everyone have plans for Memorial Day? If you feel like hopping in the car or on a plane, you are welcome to join us for a day of grilling out! It is "BYOS" (bring your own steaks!) Maybe the pool will even be ready- it is supposed to be HOT! Love and miss you all, sign our guestbook! We love to hear from you! 5/08/08 Just had to jot down my interesting experiences tonight!...... Tonight, around 10:00, I headed to Walmart for a few things. When I got there, the parking lot and the store itself was completely dark. That was strange, since Walmart is even open part of the day on Christmas Eve! A man informed me that the whole store had lost power and that they were closed. So, off I went to Kroger (a local grocery store) for my coffeemate creamer and cereal. But first, I decided to take a quick detour across the street to Walgreen's to see if they happened to have a paint brush. ( I was in the middle of painting our kitchen cabinets when I left home) No sooner did I enter the Walgreen's parking lot, when a woman approached my car and asked if I could spare some money so that she could go to Long John Silver's to eat. (a local fast food chain for those of you northerner's) I told her I was sorry, but that I didn't carry any cash on me. Unfortunately, Walgreen's does not carry paint brushes so I hopped back into the car and went across the street to Kroger. As I was coming out of the grocery store with my much needed creamer and cereal, a man approaches me on my way to the car, and asks if I could spare some money so he and his wife could get something to eat! He seemed very genuine but I gave him my "Sorry, I don't have any cash on me" speech and then I said, "The funny thing is, a woman across the street asked me the very same thing just a minute ago." "Was that your wife?", I asked him. He told me it wasn't. Which leads me to believe that I probably shouldn't go out after dark anymore unless I have a little cash on me to give to poor hungry people! Or maybe I just shouldn't go out after dark anymore at all! Wow, Knoxville has some of the richest people I've ever seen, and also some of the poorest! I guess we like variety here in the south! On a different note, Beau and I have poison ivy. It is spreading, and very itchy! I have never had it before, but I really don't care to ever have it again! I gave Beau a bath tonight with some of that Aveeno oatmeal stuff that is supposed to help itchy rashes. I hope it helps him. Our sweet neighbor lady gave us some cream for poison ivy, and Beau asks me quite often to put it on his "itchy bumps". It must feel good on him, because normally you can't hold him down to put any kind of lotion on him! I am hoping the "itchy bumps" go away very soon for both Beau and I! Guess we'll be a little more careful on our outdoor adventures. 5/06/08 I know, I know, it's been awhile! I guess we have just been enjoying this beautiful weather, and haven't spent much time on website updates! (Sorry Grandpa C!) We are getting the pool ready to go for summer, can't wait! We've also been grilling out just about every night. This is my favorite time of year, hands down! It's not too hot yet, so I can still have all the windows open all day long. All though, my open window time is getting very limited! We finally broke down and had to turn on the air a couple times. Grampee and Gramee came for a visit last weekend. Of course Beau was in Heaven with his Grampee around. They gave Judson a little kids picnic table with umbrella for an early birthday present. The boys have already gotten lots of use out of it eating dinners out on the deck. Mommy loves that she doesn't have to clean up all the little things that fall from their plates when they eat outside! Titan takes care of that for us. Let's see.... what else is new? I will be playing for a wedding this weekend. It's always an extra blessing to be able to make some money doing something I love. I'm so thankful that God allowed me to have a little gift of music. I know I haven't used it to anywhere near the extent that He deserves, but I sure have enjoyed it! I just finished teaching lessons today and my students never fail to brighten my day and bring me smiles! I enjoy them so much, they are like extended family. Last night we had so much fun with Jonathan and Leah, and their adorable little boy, Jackson! We are still a little bitter that they went and moved to Alabama on us, but we treasure the times we can get back together for a visit! They were in town for Leah's brother's college graduation here at Crown. Well, I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of things that happened over the last few weeks, but this is all I can think of at the moment! As always, our home is always welcome to any of our friends or family that would like to come and visit!! Miss and love you all! 4/16/08 I flew back into Knoxville last night. The weekend was a little rough, but I'm thankful I was able to be there for Grandpa's funeral. My cousins and I all sang a song together at the funeral called "Daddy's Hands". We changed the words of the very last chorus to "Grandpa's Hands" and needless to say, it was tough to get through the song! Dad and I also played together for the service. It was nice to get another chance to visit and catch up with the family up there. Rebekah and I were single and childless for a change! Everywhere we went I kept thinking I was missing something. A big, huge, gigantic, enormous, big, big, big, thank you to Grampee for coming down here and taking care of the kids for us! You were a life saver! We really appreciate you! A funny story: My flight from Minneapolis to Charlotte was pretty interesting! It was a large flight, and right behind me sat a very scared little boy. He must have been 4 or 5 yrs old. With every little bit of turbulence on the flight, this boy would scream! Towards the end of the flight when we started to descend, it got a little bumpy going through the clouds and for a good 5 minutes from then until we landed, the boy screamed, "I wanna get off this plane!!" , and "I don't wanna die!" , and, "Get me off of here!" He screamed at the top of lungs! I felt so bad for the mother who had two other children with her too! As soon as we landed on the runway and the plane slowed down, the boy yelled back to his mom, "It's okay now mom, we landed! We landed!" Just then the whole plane started clapping! Everybody laughed and the mom's face turned a pretty bright shade of pink! Tonight was supposed to be Beau's choir debut at church. He was scheduled to sing with all the other little 3 and 4 yr olds for the service tonight. We had him dressed up so cute in the little suit outfit from Gramee and Grampee, but guess what? After seeing all the people and the big huge auditorium, I think he got a little stage fright! Tim and I were so disappointed but I can't say we were shocked. I think we both kind of had our doubts about him actually going through with it. I tried my best to give him the "no crying speech" on the way to church complete with instructions on how to obey the choir director and make sure he waves to me and daddy while he's up there singing. But, to no avail! Oh well, there's always next year! They always do all the little kid's choir performances during the Bible conference each year in April. Well, it is very late! So late in fact, that I'm not even going to write down the time! I'll have to drink extra coffee in the morning. I need some energy for all the laundry I need to get done tomorrow! Love you all! 4/7/08 Well, we made it there and back safely, and are back home again. However, it looks like we will be heading back up there very shortly. I was informed this morning that my grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep last night. We are all very sad and teary, but I am so thankful for the precious time I spent with him just a couple days ago. I told my mom this morning that the very last thing my grandpa told me as we were hugging goodbye was, "I hope I'm better the next time you see me." Well, he WILL be better the next time I see him! Please pray for the family as we get through this difficult time. He lived a great life and will be greatly missed, but always loved and remembered! Sarah and Pete's wedding was so beautiful! I got permission from Dana (the amazing wedding photographer!) to put a couple of the pictures she took on our site. I will try to put the rest of the pictures from our trip up north on here soon. I also have lots of stories to tell from this last week, but that will all have to wait for a better day. Love you all! 3/26/08 I wanted to get our Easter pics on here before me and the boys leave on our trip for MN. I hope to get lots of good pictures while I'm up there to take advantage of the rare photo ops with the boys and my side of the family. Easter was good.... our friends Chris & Hannah, invited us over Saturday evening for a wonderful, big Easter dinner! That was so sweet of them! Sunday, I am ashamed to admit it, but I did not cook an Easter dinner, instead we went out to eat with our sweet friend, Stacy, and her 3 kids. It was probably smart since the kids were already so exhausted and went straight to bed for naps when we got home. I didn't even do the "egg hunt" like I had planned. We'll have to do that when Gramee and Grampee come in a couple weeks. Well, this has to be short and sweet. I have lots to get done before we fly out. Pray that the kids accidentally get slipped some sort of tranquilizer in their sippy cups and konk out for the whole flight! Haha, j/k, don't pray for that, but do pray that they behave well for me and that we have a safe flight! 3/14/08 WE LOVE WARM WEATHER! The boys have discovered that it's much more fun to be outside in the sun and grass, than it is to stay inside! I think we've spent the majority of this last week outside! They love to play, run, and get dirty! I think little boys look cute when they're dirty. The dirtier, the cuter! We have a "walk route" that we try to do at least once a day. It is a large circle around the neighborhood. Judson rides in the wagon, and Beau pushes his Thomas the Train the whole way! Beau loves to point out all the pinecones, sticks, squirrels, and dogs we see along the way. This new walk routine makes for great nap times! It's amazing how a little sun and fresh air will wipe them out in no time! Yesterday morning, me and the boys met Heidi, Nicole, and their kids at the park for a long walk and play time. The mommies got a work out, and the kiddos enjoyed the wagon and stroller rides! We even stopped and had a little picnic along the way. We need to do that every day! I am so blessed to have these girls and their kids so close by! What would we do without each other? (p.s- I have to tell this story about Jud at the park that day. He was fascinated with the slides. Not the little "kiddie" slides,. the "big boy" slides! He wanted nothing to do with the dinky little short slides, and everything to do with the biggest, tallest, curviest, slide there! One other thing- he would not let me hold him on my lap, he insisted on going down himself. So, I ran to the bottom of the slide and told him to come down. (I cannot see him because this is a "tunnel" slide that is completely enclosed) But, sure enough, he came flying down to the bottom laying on his belly, head and arms first! It was hilarious! He wanted to do it again so badly and cried when we walked away from the play area to go on our walk. He's starting to venture out of his shell a little bit and be a little more daring and independent. Tim and I had the funnest night tonight! We were finally able to use our gift cards to this fancy restaurant here in Knoxville, and then we enjoyed a concert that was paid for by Tim's boss. We also drove our "new" car (new to us anyways) for the first time. Tim got the bug to get rid of our gas guzzling SUV, and buy a more practical car. Well, we didn't exactly end up with a practical car, but it is much better on gas! :) Oh dear, it's late.....better run! Love, hugs, and kisses to all!
