3/??/08
Wow, it's pretty sad that I have no idea what the date is today! (that's what happens to stay-at-home moms) Oh well, we had a great day with the kids and that's all that matters!

They LOVE story time! Judson likes to pick out a book and say, "Mine!" Beau likes to read his books to me! (wink wink) Maybe I should start teaching him how to really read.

The boys are neck deep in a "fighting phase"! Every day has been a struggle just to keep them at peace with one another! Where is my black & white striped shirt and whistle when I need it!??I just keep telling myself....."some day they will be BEST friends!" Am I ever looking forward to that day!

It snowed again! This morning as I was just waking up, my sleepy eyes caught glimpse right away of the white snow falling! It was fun to lay in bed and look out the windows at the big flakes falling and swirling around. It looked like a real life snow globe. We got at least an inch everywhere, but it didn't last past the afternoon.

Tim and I finally crossed off one of our many many items on the "to do" list. I had bought an old table off craigslist to replace our kitchen table. The blue tile topped table we have been using was actually left in our last house by the previous owner! I'm thankful too, because we got lots of use out of it. But, I spotted this other one and thought it would be a fun project.(I'm notorious for stuff like that ) It sat in our basement for a while but we finally got started on it. After lots of sanding, staining, and staring at it, I decided to sand it all again and just paint it and our chairs black. I'm really loving how it turned out.
Well, it's after midnight here but I should say, it's after 1:00 because of the time change that happens tonight! I better get to bed or I will have a hard time keeping my eyes open in church tomorrow!

Tim and I had a wonderful time staying in the mountains for the couples retreat. It was so relaxing and the couples sessions were great! It took me a while to get used to not having the kids with us! Thanks Marlie and Rachel for taking care of them for us while we were gone!

The weather could not be more beautiful today! Every window is open and the sun is bright and warm! Come on over for a sandwich and some lemonade!

Sorry for the lack of updates!(ah-hem...Grandma C)
We had a wonderful time with Tim's Aunt Pat and her friend, Jean, when they came to visit! Beau was excited to have some train playin' partners! It was good to catch up and spend some time with them!

If it isn't one virus around here, it's another! We are all sounding a little bit like "Pee-wee Herman" right now! We've decided that we're sick of being sick and we're determined to be faithful at taking our vitamins from now on! I think our immune systems are pretty much non-existent at this point!

Our friend, Marlie, is here to stay at our house and take care of the kids for us while Tim and I go to the Couple's Retreat. We're so looking forward to getting away and spending some much needed "alone time!"

We were surprised and excited to wake up to a blanket of white on the ground! It didn't last long, but it was here long enough to remind me of Minnesota!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Valentine's Day! I took some fun pictures of the pretty tulips Tim had sent to the house for me. I found a new website for editing and enhancing pictures so I downloaded some of them because I love the way the colors turned out. Some of the pictures I have already posted on here, but I had fun playing around with them on this website. I think I might frame some of them for art! It is another beautiful sunny day here in TN! Love you all!

Oh my, where do I start!?? Let's start with Beau's birthday! Yes, our little man is 3 years old already, actually, he's 3 going on 16! He's so full of energy and life and he brings a smile to our faces every day! We had a great party day on Saturday. Lots of friends showed up and showered him with gifts! The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the fresh breeze coming through all the windows! Guests even ventured out by the pool to enjoy the sunny day. Thanks to everyone who left him sweet birthday wishes on our guestbook!

The day before on his real birthday, we went to Olive Garden for dinner. On our way there, we noticed Judson wasn't looking too good. A couple minutes later, he started throwing up all over himself and the car! Uff da! Where are extra clean clothes when you need them? Thank goodness I had packed some wipes for the trip! Poor little sweet pea got the flu! We decided to go inside for dinner anyways since we had just pulled in the parking lot. My apologies to the waitress, as I'm sure she noticed something didn't smell quite right when waiting on our table!

Early Monday morning, I had told Tim to wake me up with him at 3:30 so I could start learning his paper route with him. (Oh, for those of you that didn't already know this, Tim got a paper route) Anyways, I wanted to start learning it with him so I could run it for him a couple days a week. It was a good morning to go with him since we had Bob and Marlene staying at the house with the boys. So, we head out and start the route. It started out good, but it didn't take long for me to notice something wasn't right! I thought I was just getting a little car sick, but soon realized I had the same nasty flu bug! I quickly grabbed one of the plastic bags that he uses for the newspapers and just in time too! We (Tim) finished the route and home to bed I went! The rest of that day was spent "getting sick" over and over and over again! I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a violent stomach flu like that one! Soon Tim, Bob, and Marlene, were all stricken by the same nasty bug! Unfortunately, Bob and Marlene had to drive all the way home to PA feeling sick! Beau has been the only one in the house that hasn't gotten sick (knock on wood!)

I was so excited to see my dear friend, Natalie, and her two little boys this week! They had planned to come from Ohio and visit us and the Schatz' for the week, but after hearing of the sickness at our house, and Heidi's little boy, Carter, having pneumonia, they decided to stay put. I don't blame them! Also, just a few days before, Natalie's little boy, Noah, fractured his leg and is in a cast! I just don't think our plans to get together were meant to be this week! We will be looking forward to it another time!

Let's see..... just a couple more things and then I'll be done with this update. At the end of February, Tim and I will be attending the "Couple's Retreat" for the married couples in our church. The classes/seminars will be held in Gatlinburg so we have rented the cabin that we stayed at for our honeymoon! I'm excited to relax and enjoy a few days alone together! Our friend, Marlie, is going to stay at our house and take care of the boys for us while we're gone. Thanks Marlie!
Then, the next fun thing on our agenda is our trip to MN! Can't wait to see everyone up there! I started thinking, and realized that Judson was not even 3 months old the last time we were up there! We will be looking forward to spending time with the family!

Alright, that is all for now... Pray for Tim, he is still sick, but on his way to getting better! Also, pray that Beau doesn't get it! I am ready to clean and disinfect the house!

Love you all!
p.s Thanks Jonathan and Leah for the adorable "Happy Birthday Bubba" song on your website! Too cute! We loved it!
p.p.s Had to share a blessing: We got to pay off our Xterra with our tax return this year! Whoo-hoo, no more truck payments!

We had so much fun babysitting Dan and Heidi's little boys tonight while they went out for dinner to celebrate their anniversary! They are the most adorable little boys! Beau LOVES Carter, and Judson couldn't get enough of the "baby!" (Evan) I think Jud pointed at Evan and said "baby" a hundred times in the first couple minutes they were here!

So, I have to be a girl for a minute, and tell you about the table and chairs I found for $25 on craigslist! I was excited! Gotta love finding a good deal!

Tomorrow, Beau will be 3! Wow.....can't believe it! We are excited for Gramee and Grampee to get here from PA tomorrow, and also for Beau's birthday party on Saturday! We've invited a lot of people for his "open house" party, so it should be fun! Hopefully, I'll get lots of good pictures.

POTTY POST: Yesterday, Beau had been on and off the potty all day.(He's been doing so good) I went downstairs to the basement to put another load of laundry in, and when I came back up, Beau pointed at the potty and said, "Look Mommy, I did it again!" I walked over to the potty and peeked in, expecting to find some more "pee-pee", but to my surprise, there was POO-POO! His very first poo-poo in the potty! Beau got lots of big hugs and praises as we went and dumped it in the toilet! He was so proud of himself and I was even more proud of him! YAY! One less poopy diaper for Mommy! During the day, if we are just home alone, I have been letting Beau run around without a diaper or pull-up on. That has made it so much easier for him to run and sit on the potty! We have not had any accidents so far this way, so hopefully it will stay that way!

Yesterday was the 6 year anniversary for Tim's motorcycle wreck! I will never forget that day! I almost saw him die right in front of me. I'm so thankful that the Lord had other plans for him and didn't take him home that day! I love you honey! Stay off motorcycles for the rest of your life ok? And no, our boys are NOT going to ride them either! :)

Well, we have some sad news......we've lost a member of the family. We have given Molly away to a sweet family and she now has a new home. I really hate to see her go, she's been a great dog for the last 4 years, but we didn't think it was fair to her that we really didn't pay much attention to her unless we were getting after her for something! She helped Tim and I get through a really difficult time after Belle passed away. We loved her so much that we spent about 2,000 to hospitalize her when she got the Parvo virus! She was our baby and we needed her during that time. But, I think the time has come for her to move on to a better home where she can be appreciated a little more! Since she is almost 4 years old, that means that this coming Wednesday will be the 4 year anniversary of Belle's death. Even though I can still remember every detail of that time, it feels like it's been a lot longer than that. I guess we've just had a lot of changes in the last 4 years. We've moved twice, had 2 more beautiful babies, and Tim has had a few different jobs. I guess life changes so frequently when you're young and just starting out. We miss Belle dearly, and I don't think a day has ever gone by without having thought of her. I'm clinging to God's promise to us that we WILL see her again!

We got to see our dear friends, Jonathan, Leah, and Jackson Dickey, while they were in town last weekend. It was so fun to see them! We miss them and wish they still lived close! We also got to see our friends, Nick, Jenny, and Brooklyn Cordray all in the same weekend! The Dickey's were in town from Birmingham, and the Cordray's were in town from Ohio. We had never seen little Brooklyn in person before! My goodness, she is sooooo cute! They are expecting another little girl in a few months! I don't know anything about raising girls, but I do know they sure are cute!

Beau's 3rd birthday is coming up too soon! It makes me feel a little old when I think about having a 3 year old! He is such a nut! ALWAYS talking our heads off and cracking us up! He has the craziest little personality and lately, he's been thinking that he's the head of this house! Often, after scolding him for something, he will look at me and say in the sweetest voice ever, "Mommy, I want you to be a good boy." (all while gently shaking his head and looking at me with eyes that seem so concerned)  Hmmmm..... do you think he's heard that before somewhere? He can be so stubborn too! I swear almost every day I am going "head to head" with a 3 yr old! Why I let myself get into these little arguments with him I have no idea! He can be so sneaky and smart! I walk away thinking to myself.....how did he do that!? How is it that a 3 yr old (almost 3yr old) can be so bossy, and demanding? I really am trying to make a conscious effort to remember in situations like that, that I am the mommy, and I need to be in control! But, it is HARD! Much easier said than done, that's for sure!
Now for a little potty post: Beau has been going potty every day since the day we finally got him to sit on and go pee pee on the potty! We are not fully there yet, I'm mostly to blame for that, but we are on our way! I need to be more disciplined in remembering to make him go more often. He has never came and told us that he needs to go yet, so until he does, I will play the part of "potty timer". It seems like he still goes quite often! Whether on the potty, or in his diaper or pull-up, he is always going! We are a long way from him waking up dry in the morning. His diaper is usually soaked every morning. I don't know if that's because he sleeps a lot longer than an average 3 yr old, or if he just has way too much to drink the night before.

What's Judson been up to? Well, he's still our quieter and more observant one. He doesn't really say a whole lot and he's still my cuddly baby. He loves his mommy and I'm dreading the day he doesn't want to sit and rock or cuddle anymore! He's probably about ready for a toddler bed. I'll have to keep my eye out for a cute one. He loves food and you would think we starve him! He eats like his plate is going to run away from him if he doesn't shove it all in fast enough! He's getting lots of new teeth all at the same time! Molars, eye teeth, and some other ones. Uff da! It's so amazing to me how 2 brothers can be so different! Each child is unique and special in their own way. He loves to take a "Bap" (bath) He gets so excited when you ask him if he wants to take a bath, that he runs as fast as his little legs will go down the hallway to our bathroom!  Sorry, that was all jumbled together and I should really take more time in seperating each different subject. Oh well....... gotta run! Love you all!

Just wanted to welcome baby Scarlett Rae into the world and congrats to Ryan and Bridget on their beautiful baby girl! She is too precious, I can't wait to meet her!
The boys and I have our tickets to go up to MN in April for my cousin, Sarah's, wedding! I'm so excited! It will have been 18 months since we were up there last! That is too long! Pray for me and the boys on our flights and long drives! We are flying from Atlanta to Minneapolis mainly because it was so much cheaper that way, and also we get a straight flight! Thank the Lord!
I had not been feeling good at all for the last few days, so I went to the doctor yesterday and discovered I have bronchitis. No wonder, it felt like I was coughing my brains out! (sorry, that sounded a little gross!) I was trying to stay as "drugged up" as possible since the kids didn't have much patience for me laying on the couch all day! The fever and shaking chills are gone now, and I am on the mend!
ok, I had planned to put some pictures on here but the kids are screaming and I have completely ran out of time! Will have to wait!

Congratulations Jason and Cara on the birth of sweet baby girl #3!!!!! Way to carry on the family tradition of 3 sisters! Madison Rose Demlow (our newest niece!!!) was born last night at around 8:00 pm, weighing 8lbs. 13oz! She was 21 1/2 in. long! (I think those are all her stats!) We are so excited for you, and happy that she is here safe and sound! Poor mommy was WAAAAY overdue! Cara, she was too cozy inside of you! We can't wait to see her and hug&kiss her in person! From what I hear, both mom and baby are doing well! "The fruit of the womb is HIS reward!"
P.S Tell Madison that her favorite auntie can't wait to see her in April for cousin Sarah's wedding! I will have lots of hugs and kisses ready, and her cousins Beau and Jud will share their trains and trucks with her! :)

Tim had to work late on Monday, so I took the boys to this great little park by our house. By the time everyone had sippy cups in hand and matching shoes on, it was starting to get kinda dark out. We headed out anyways because I think we were all going a little stir crazy in the house and we all needed some fresh air! Speaking of fresh air, it has been in the 70's the past few days! I have enjoyed having all the windows open to welcome the fresh breeze into the house! Ok, back to the park.... They had sooo much fun! I think Judson actually enjoyed it more than Beau! Jud was CRAZY about the slides! My arms got a good workout lifting him up to the top of the slide over and over and over again! This park had the best flooring! (or ground-ing) haha, it was like a putt-putt green, only it was really soft and mushy! No more little pebbles, sticks, or dirt in the kids shoes!
Judson's vocabulary is quickly expanding. His favorite words are.... Garbage, shoes, socks, puppy, Beau, juice, and today he said, "please!" He is such a little "smartie". Sometimes you don't realize how much they know or are learning, because they are so small and don't talk much, but it amazes me how smart they are at such a young age! The other day after seeing Beau sit on the potty, Jud had to take his clothes off and sit on there too! I think I will let him sit on the potty as much as he likes! Who knows, maybe we will kill two birds with one stone!
Hope everyone up north is staying warm! If you get sick of the weather you can always come visit us!

Beau has some exciting news he would like to share with everyone........HE WENT PEE PEE ON THE POTTY!!!!!!!!! Not only once, but TWICE today!!!! Yay for Bubba!!!! We are so proud of him and finally making some progress in the potty area! When he went the first time today, we praised the fire outa him! We all got ready and hopped in the truck to take him to Toys R' Us so he could pick out a new toy! We settled on "Bill & Ben" from the Thomas line. Then we went to the mall and ate dinner. Mommy and Daddy could not be happier! On Christmas Day, he told us he wanted to sit on the potty. That in itself was like music to our ears! He never did go that day, but we were thrilled to see him sit on the potty and not scream and cry! Since then, he has sat on the potty a couple times very willingly! He is wearing a Pull-up in bed right now and I'm hoping the little talk we had before bed about not going pee pee in his pull-up will help him stay dry until we can get him back on the potty in the morning! Ok, I know this doesn't mean much to most of you, but this is a big milestone at the Lott house! I'll keep you posted on the pee pee progress! :) haha

1/02/2008!
Ok, it took me forever to get only half of our pictures on here! I need to get all our pictures off our harddrive and on to a disc. That way, it will not take me so long to do this!  Anyways,  this was our  quiet family Christmas together. We missed everyone! We had a great time with Grampee and Gramee these last few days! I will get all the pictures from their visit on here next time. I  have to run and get Jud. Poor guy, has been awake from his nap for a while now but I knew I had to finish this otherwise it would never happen! I'll write more later! Love you all.

One week ago today, it was 76 degrees out. Now, I think it's been in the 20's and 30's! What crazy kind of weather is this??
One week till Christmas! The countdown is on! You should've seen how busy the post office was yesterday! Oh my goodness, I had never seen such a busy post office before! Guess I picked the worst possible day to go! Oh well, gifts are on their way to PA and MN!
I just had to get some pictures on here and empty my camera before Christmas time! I'm sure there will be many more to post a week from now. Hope everyone is doing great and we miss you all sooo-ooo-oooo much!
p.s If you're wondering why on earth Tim has a mustache, it's because he and some of the guys at his office are doing it to be stupid! They're all growing mustach's! Ugh! Please sign the guestbook and tell him to shave it! P-L-E-A-S-E!

I found this cute little poem written by a little girl on the www.nogreaterjoy.org website. I thought it was cute.....

Mountain Ma and Pa

By: Rebekah Pearl

O, so much ter do
So much ter be done!
The work's never through
An the work ain't much fun.
No thanks fer yer labor
No pay fer the job"
Jest "What's fer supper?"
"How bout corn-on-da-cob?"
Ya mop an ya sweep,
Ya dust an ya shine
Then turn around
And what do ya find?
His shoes on the floor,
His coat on the chair,
His rear in the couch,
An his feet in the air!!
So ya kick off yer shoes
An ya throw down yer broom"
An ya wink at yer ole man
So he'll make ya some room!

This is why Ma and Pa have been married 25 years.

WHAT!?? Christmas is less than 2 weeks away!??? That CAN'T be!!! You know, we have a whole year to prepare for Christmas, and before you know it.....BAM! Once again, we have a pile of Christmas gifts in our bedroom just waiting to be wrapped, packaged, and mailed off!

We are excited to have Brian, Niki, and baby Halle stay with us for a few days! They are coming this evening and staying through Friday. I am anxious to finally be able to see and hold little Halle! The boys will get to meet their newest cousin.

Saturday, Tim and I are hosting a little Christmas party for our Sunday School table in the 20's couples class.

The weather has been crazy but beautiful here lately! Yesterday, it was 76 degrees here on the 11th of December! I'm pretty sure that never happened in MN! We are enjoying it, although Tim is ready for the weather to drop this weekend so he can start making fires again!
Yesterday, was also Tuesday, so that means I had all my adorable violin students. They are so much fun! A bunch of them each brought me really sweet Christmas presents. I enjoy teaching them so much, and I hope I can help them learn to have a love, appreciation, and a passion for music.

Christmas spirit is filling the Lott's house!
We got our tree up and decorated! It is a pretty fat tree so it takes up a lot of room! But, that's ok. You only get to have a tree up for 1 month out the year, so we will enjoy our big, plump tree! :)
I had so much fun pulling out all our ornaments. It's like Christmas all over again each year when we get the ornaments out. I love all of them and it just makes me think of the memory that goes along with each special ornament! This is Tim and I's 5th Christmas together. (we started dating the day after Christmas 6 years ago) I told Tim while we were decorating the tree, that it feels like we've been together our whole lives. (that's a good thing) I can hardly remember what life was like before him. I'm so thankful for him. He spoils me rotten and loves me more than I could ever dream of or deserve! I'm so thankful that the Lord let me to Crown where I met my husband and .......the rest is history! Now we have 2 beautiful boys whom we love more than life itself! This Christmas will be a first for us. We will be spending it alone as a family at our house. It's a little sad in a way, but also exciting in that we are starting our own family traditions, and now we get to be the parents that watch our kids get up Christmas morning and open their stockings!

Gramee and Grampee sent me a disc of pictures from when Beau went up there and stayed with them in PA at the end of October. So, I had to put them on here since there was some really sweet ones!

Judson went to the doctor today and we found out that he has bronchiolitis (I don't even know how to spell that!) Anyways, I knew something must be wrong with him since he's been sick for about a week and a half and hasn't gotten any better. His doctor said it is a virul infection and is very contagious! (not sure if I spelled that word right either!) This website needs spell check! So, the good news is, all we have to do for him is give him those breathing treatments with the nebulizer. (ok, I have to go because I keep trying to type words that I can't spell!) Wow, maybe it's because it's 1:08 am here and I should've been in bed hours ago. Not sure why I keep doing this staying up late thing.
