MONDAY 31st AUGUST 2009 Well it's been some time since Mummy last updated our website - she claims to have been really busy!! We have had a fun filled year so far and with four more months to go, there's more fun to be had! Back at the beginning of February we woke up to find a lovely blanket of white snow. We had only ever seen this on the television so we were really keen to get outside and have some fun. We got to know our new next door neighbours Carissa and Craig who were outside building a snowman and so we helped them too. Craig also took us for a ride on his sled - what fun!! At the beginning of May Poppy arrived from Australia. He stayed with Aunty Rachel and Uncle Sean, but came up to visit us most days. We have also been camping in Herm again this year, this time Mummy and Daddy came with us. It was very tiring having to climb the big mountain to get to the camp site. We made lots of new friends to play with. Mummy and Daddy took us away for two weeks in August on a cruise to the Mediterranean. We went to Malaga, Rome, Livorno, Cannes, Barcelona, Gibraltar, Lisbon and Vigo. We met lots of lovely people and made lots of new friends too. In preparation for starting school in two weeks time we have been to visit our new big school. Kyle is going to be in Miss Pope's class and I am going to be in Mrs Savage's class. We are both very excited about starting school! Mummy has been very busy buying and naming all our school uniform over the summer holidays. Although we are happy to be starting pre-school we were also very sad to leave pre-school. We have had lots and lots of fun there, first with Miss Jose, Miss Cate and Mrs Costen and then with Rachael, Sarah, Karen, Linda, Jenny and Jane. We are going to be 5 next week and Mummy has booked our party at the Longfrie. We are going to have all our special friends there and a birthday cake with a fire engine and road bumps on it!

Monday 9th June 2008

Well, it's been some time since we last updated our website.  There's much to do when you're only three years old and there's just not enough time to do it all!

Since we last wrote on here we have learnt to use the potty and are now in big boy pants!  We only wear our nappies to bed now - mummy and daddy are very proud of us!

We took part in our very first nativity play at pre-school at Christmas time.  I was one of the three kings and Kyle was a shephard.  When mummy and daddy work out how to upload the video we will put it on our website so you can all see just how cute we are!!

We are looking forward to our holiday in July.  We are going to Tenerife for two weeks.  It will be our first holiday as a family and our first time on Jeremy the Jet - we're so excited!

Our party season has started and we have been to three parties already in the past month.  We are going to Archie's party tomorrow and we are really looking forward to that!

We have put some new photos on our pictures page for you to have a look at.  They were taken yesterday when we were at Oatlands.  We had lots of fun and mummy and daddy enjoyed it too!

Don't forget to leave us a message in our guestbook - we like to see who has visited our website!

Lots of love and cuddles to everyone

Ben & Kyle xxxx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!!  We are 3 today!!!  Can you believe it?!

Mummy and Daddy have organised a jungle party for us with all our little playmates.  We're going to have a ROARING time!!  Hopefully Daddy will remember to charge up the camera this morning so that he and Mummy can take lots of pictures of us which she can post on here later today.  Watch this space!

Sunday 29 July 2007

Today we are going to Lauren and Emma's christening.  It is a very special occasion because when we were tiny we spent a lot of time in hospital and that is where we first met Lauren too.  We don't think we are going to go the church though as Mummy and Daddy think we might get a bit too noisy!!  But we are going to a big hotel for a bbq and hopefully a swim if the sun comes out!

We are looking forward to our 3rd birthday which is only 6 weeks away!  Mummy has made all the invitations (they look fab Mummy!!)  We are having a jungle party this year so we can pretend to be lions and tigers and roar very loudly!!  Loud is what we do best!

Poppy is coming to visit us again soon, but first he is going to see our cousins in Gibraltar.  We can't wait to him again.

We have to go now as Daddy is going to give us some donkey rides in the lounge - that's lots of fun!

Bye for now

Love

Ben & Kyle

Hooray!  Only 4 more sleeps until the Easter Bunny comes to us!  We can't wait.  Mummy has organised an Easter Egg hunt in our back garden for Easter Sunday.  Lots of our friends, including Tillie, Jake, Alfie, Archie and Ciaran are coming too, it's going to be so much fun!

We will need find the eggs quickly before Daddy gets to them, if we don't Daddy will keep them all to himself!

Mummy has been talking to Aunty Debbie this week and she has said that Uncle Matt is coming home.  He went away at the beginning of December to Iraq with his work.  Mummy has told us that he has been very brave.  We can't wait to see him again.

Another bit of news is that we will be seeing Poppy again in the summer.  He is planning to go and visit Uncle Matt, Aunty Debbie, Nick and Maddie in Gibraltar first before flying to Guernsey in mid-August.  We hope he will be here for our birthday in September.

Well, Christmas has been and gone for another year and we have very spoilt again - thank you mummy and daddy and everyone else.

We have had busy couple of weeks.  Aunty Debbie and our two cousins, Nick and Maddie, who live in Gibraltar have come to spend Christmas and New Year with us because Uncle Matt is away in Iraq until the end of April.

Unfortunately mummy wasn't very well on Christmas Day, she had a nasty tummy bug so we never got to see and show her all our new toys Father Christmas left for us.  But we did still have a good day, especially when daddy took us down to Aunty Rachel's and Uncle Sean's for our Christmas Dinner - it was yummy, but we think Aunty Rachel and Uncle Sean need to take some tips from our mummy when it comes to making the gravy - it was a bit on the thin side!!

Friday 8 September 2006

It's celebration time again!  Ben and Kyle are TWO today!  We can't believe it's been two years since these two beautiful little boys entered our lives!  Some days it only feels like yesterday since we had our first precious cuddles with our two precious fragile little babies.  Now, they are two little "thuglets" who are constantly dive bombing over the setee or doing one of their little rain dances on the dining room table!  Boy, have they changed!

Everyday brings new adventures for them and for us.  The contents of my kitchen cupboards are forever being rearranged, mostly by Ben.  And just what is it about a smelly old dirty duster and an empty can of polish?  Most days you can see Ben and Kyle pottering about with just that.  They're obviously trying to tell Daddy something!

We are celebrating today with a family tea and tomorrow they are having a joint birthday party with their little friend Alfie, who is three today.  So it's going to be a very busy weekend!

Mummy and Daddy send lots of love for a very happy birthday x x x x

Sunday 6 August 2006

Today we went on a big boat with Mummy, Daddy, Aunty Rachel, Uncle Sean, Aunty Debbie, Uncle Matt, Nick and Maddie to a little island called Herm.  We spent all day on Fisherman's Beach, it was great fun.  Me, Kyle and Maddie were tired after lunch so we all had a little sleep.  Afterwards we felt much better!  Whilst we were sleeping, Mummy and Uncle Matt went to the shop and bought a big rubber dingy so that we could go on the water.  I was scared at first, but then Aunty Rachel came in with me and Mummy sat in with Kyle whilst Uncle Matt pulled us around the harbour.

Soon it was time to go home, but not before we went to the boozer for an ice-cream and a nice cold drink.  We had lots of fun today, and can't wait to go to Herm again!

Wednesday 7 June 2006

Well what a week we've had!  It all started last Friday when Ben was hit a nasty tummy bug.  Being the kind and generous little brother that he is, he decided it was only fair for him to share it between Mummy, Daddy and me !  Happilly though, we seem to be over it and life is getting back to normal.

It looks like summer has finally arrived here - we have had glorious weather the past week.  On some days it was so hot Mummy and Aunty Rachel had to get the paddling pool out for us so that we could cool down.  I couldn't wait to get stuck in, so I went in with my clothes still on!  Ben, on the other hand, did need a little persuasion.  I don't suppose me splashing him helped that much though!!

We hope the weather is going to stay like this for the rest of the summer because it is only six weeks until Poppy, Aunty Debbie and cousins Nick and Maddie arrive for their holidays.  We are really looking forward to doing lots and lots of fun things, including helping Maddie celebrate her first birthday.  We can't believe she is nearly one already!

Mummy is going away on Friday shopping again so Daddy is taking the day off work to look after us.  We wonder what fun things he has planned for us?  We like it when Mummy goes shopping because she always brings us back lots of nice things - we think she likes to spoil us!

Well, we had better go as it is nearly time for us to have a nap nap, we have to be wide awake for when Mummy takes us to the park later today.

Take everyone,

Lots of love and cuddles

Ben & Kyle

**BIG NEWS ALERT**  Ben is now toddling about.  He decided it was about time he had his first taste of freedom this evening.  Whilst stood at the settee he walked to the far side window in the lounge, a distance of about 3 metres.  Well done Ben.  Mummy and Daddy are very proud of you!

Wednesday 1 February 2006

We are very sad today because Poppy left to fly back home to Australia.  He has been visiting us since 5 January and we have had lots of fun with him.  We miss him very much (and so does Mummy!) and we can't wait to see him again when he comes to visit us in July.  Aunty Rachel has told us we only have to wait another 24 weeks!!

We are looking forward to the weekend because Aunty Rachel is coming up to look after us whilst Mummy and Daddy go away.  It is always fun when she is around and she nearly always spoils us!

Friday 16 December 2005

Welcome to the house of ill!  Except for Daddy, we are all suffering from very bad colds, Mummy especially!

Here is a quick update of Ben and Kyle's progress to date.

It is official!  Ben is now crawling everywhere.  He has been having regular physio sessions since the middle of August, and finally all the hard work is paying off.  Well done Ben!  We don't think it will be very long before Kyle is taking his first tentative steps.  He is now able to stand unaided for nearly 40 seconds.

We have just come back from visiting Aunty Debbie and Uncle Matt and cousins Nick and Maddie in Gibraltar.  We went there for Maddies christening and also spent some time with Poppy who we don't get to see that often.  We had a really good time.

Christmas is only around the corner and preparations are well underway.  The christmas tree is up complete with blue twinkling lights and purple tinsel.  Ben's face is a real picture when he sees the lights.

Sunday 6 November 2005

We have just returned from taking Kyle and Ben's Aunty Debbie and Uncle Matt and their two cousins, Nick and Maddie back to the airport.  They have been staying with us for the past week.  The house seems so quiet now it is just the four of us again!

We have done lots of exciting things whilst they were here.  We went trick or treating on Halloween.  Kyle dressed up as a little red devil and I was a green bat for the night.  Nick went dressed as a devil too and Uncle Matt put a horrible scary mask on.  Mummy went dressed as a friendly witch.  After trick or treating we had a halloween party at our house and Aunty Debbie had made all the party food - it was very yummy!!  Aunty Rachel and Uncle Sean joined us for the party too.

We also went swimming one day and on Guy Fawkes night we had lots of fireworks, but we were very tired so we went to bed very early that night.

It was really nice to see everyone, although we were very sad when they all went home.  But it won't be long before we see Nick, Maddie, Aunty Debbie and Uncle Matt again because Mummy is taking us to Gibraltar where they all live for Maddie's christening next month.  It will be our very first time on an aeroplane, we are very excited about going on holiday.

**BIG NEWS ALERT**

Today Ben has reached a milestone!  He sat up all by himself in his cot.  Daddy had put him down for a nap earlier in the afternoon and when Mummy went to get him up for his tea she found him sitting up with his little legs hanging out the side of his cot!  Mummy and Daddy got really excited to see this.  Well done Ben!

Friday 21 October 2005

**BIG NEWS ALERT**

Kyle is officially on the move!  He took his first tentative steps with his walker and is now whizzing all over the house.  Ben still continues to get from A to B by rolling on the floor.  He has been having physio sessions to try and improve his tummy muscles to make then stronger so that he is able sit and stand for longer periods of time.  He is improving with each session, but he still has quite a way to go before he catches up with Kyle.

Ben has four teeth and as I write this he is in the process of cutting a further three (two on the top and another on the bottom).  Meanwhile, Kyle has only just started to cut his first two on the bottom.

We are all very busy at the moment trying to get the house looking nice for when Ben and Kyle's aunty and uncle and their two cousins come to visit us next Thursday.  This will be the first time any of us have met baby Maddie and we are all very excited!!

We are going to have a halloween party and go trick or treating and on bonfire night we are going to have a party and some fireworks too!!
