Tomorrow David starts his second year of PreSchool! He is very excited, as you can imagine. He knows that he will get to have so much fun playing with his classmates and learning new things. He and I attended an orientation last Wednesday. We met a couple of new friends and their moms, and got to catch up with some returning friends/moms from last year. I was very proud of the way he participated and stayed attentive while we were there.
Tommy will probably be disappointed tomorrow when he can't stay at school with David. Hmmm... I think Dunkin' Donuts may be calling to help redirect his attention!
We have had some beautiful days in PA the last couple of weeks. It is really beginning to feel like Fall outside... my favorite time of year!
David has really been working hard to improve his art skills. He spends a lot of time studying people and objects, then drawing them. As the weeks progress it is amazing to see how his attention to detail is really growing. Just this morning he drew a picture of me with "eyeballs", not just a dot for eyes, but a circle with a thicker dot inside. He is also starting to add noses to his people. He loves to use lots of color in his drawings and use his letter-writing skills to add names to people and objects.
Tommy loves to zoom his trucks everywhere... on the floor, the walls, the stairs, the countertops... me. He's happy when he has a snack and trucks. Period.
David and Tommy have both been busy studying their Bible Lessons and learning Bible facts and memory verses. We are very proud of their efforts and hope we can continue to instill in them the importance of learning & living God's word.
We hope you have a wonderful Fall. Be sure to check back for picture updates coming soon!
