We're back from a great vacation in California and Las Vegas. In California we stayed with friends Cathy and Gary, as has become a favorite winter getaway each year. While there we hit Legoland and California Adventure.
Then we headed over to Las Vegas to go to Mike's concrete convention. We all had a great time seeing the sites there.

February 21 -- Mike took the afternoon off and we took Kyle up to Grand Rapids to the Grand Rapids Children's Museum. The main draw for us taking him was the Bob the Builder traveling exhibit. Kyle is such a fan of Bob we thought he'd love it. He did really enjoy it, but he loved the rest of the museum just as much. February 2 -- This morning Kyle woke up and his Mommy and Daddy were laying listening to him. He knocked on his door as he rattled the handle, and his Dad said to his Mom, "It's not going to be much longer before he figures out how to open his door." February 1 -- Kyle got to try a new class at the gym called Dash and Splash. He spends a half hour running around the gym, followed by a half hour in the pool. He had a great time! We plan to do it each week now. January -- January was a big month for crafts. Kyle loves getting his Play Doh out, and loves to paint. We spend a lot of time doing both of those activities. He also likes crafts that involve glue sticks! January 31 -- Big day at the McDonald's PlayPlace!! Kyle went for lunch with several friends after play group and he happily followed them all the way up to the top! Even though it was two stories up, he looked down through the plastic lookouts with glee. No fright at all, and he had a blast. January 27 -- Kyle decided it is not a baby in Mommy's tummy; it is a puppy.
