Camaryn wants to wish her baby cousin Matthew a very Happy Birthday up in heaven! It is hard to believe that 2 years have passed since he made his entrance into the world. We wish for lots of strength for Matthew's mommy Aunt Denise, daddy Uncle Dusty, and his adoring big sis Kaitlyn, We know that time hasn't done much to diminish the hurt and loss they feel for losing him. We will continue to miss our precious Angel everyday but we know that he is looking down at his vast collection of family and friends and he feels loved. We can't wait to celebrate his life and birthday this Saturday with many family and friends and send him birthday wishes up to heaven! Big hugs and tons of love to you baby boy! XOXOXOXOXOXO
Ahhhh...It has been quite a while, I realize I don't update as much as I should but I will make it my mid year resolution to keep the site updated a bit better!
It has been a great year so far! January we were fortunate enough to make it to Disneyland and take our parents as well as Den's mom along for the trip! Camaryn was so excited to get her grandparents on both sides along for a trip to see Mickey! We also made her first trek to Yosemite as well as a trip with Auntie Denise & Kaitlyn to the San Francisco Zoo! Daddy spent the first couple of months of the year like many American's searching for employment after being surplused by his previous employer, but we used the time to do things as a family and made the best out of it having quite alot of fun!
In Febuary we had a great Valentines Party and cousin Hope turned 5! Wow!
Dennis ended up going back to AT&T who he had worked for for 7 years a little over a year ago. They were happy to have him back! He began training for a new position in San Fransico. His training was 7 weeks, and Camaryn and I were more than happy to go along and explore the city during the day while daddy was working and sample some of the city's best food when he got off in the evening! We had such a blast in the city and became quite skilled in taking public transit!
While we were there we came home for Easter at Uncle Dusty, Auntie 'Neece, and Kaitlyn's house! The Easter Bunny was there and everything! There were soooo many eggs hidden and Camaryn got spoiled beyond belief with all of the baskets and gifts from family and friends!
March and April also brought our spaghetti feed fundraiser for Matthew's March of Dimes team, and then the March for Babies it's self! We had such a great show of support from family and friends and it was a huge succsess!
Then came May and we headed back home! It was good to be home even though we really enjoyed our time in the city! We missed our doggies and pet rat Ron. We spent May in some nice weather enjoying the backyard and spending lots of time with our wonderful families and great friends! Our lil' Beau turned a year old! Yay!
June is here now and not only did we celebrate Father's Day with Daddy and Papa (Uncle Dusty was in Colorado this year for work!) But we have Mommy's birthday, as well as Auntie 'Neece, and Auntie Jamie all in the same week! Whew!
On a very sad note we lost Papaw J.B. Robertson. I am very glad that Camaryn got to meet him, although at the time she was only 5 months old. He was a very good man, and was wonderful to his very large family. He was indeed a role model in his devotion to his family. We will all miss him very, very, much.
Now that we are up to date in a nutshell we'll try to stay on top of it a bit better!
It's been a while since I updated the story section. What can I saw 2008 was a pretty great year. Camaryn has continued to grow into an extremely intelligent little girl. She never ceases to amaze me with the things she says. She has the comprehension and vocabulary of kids much older than her. She is very boy crazy and loves much older boys! Her daddy and I are going to have to remain on high alert at all times! Lol.
We had a wonderful Holiday season given the circumstances with Dennis being out of work. Our gift budget was much slimmer than in the past but Camaryn didn't seem to mind at all, and we made up for it but doing lots of special family things like baking cookies, seeing movies, and going to see Santa MANY times, lol. Camaryn also picked out some of her old toys and clothes to donate to Goodwill and she was very excited to do so, so that another younger child could get some of the things she was now to "big" for or no longer played with. She was very excited to be giving presents this year and got to help pick out all the presents for her many cousins near and far.
It was fun making the simple things into grand events. We would make a big deal out of hot chocolate and cookies by adding chocolate whipped cream, sprinkles and of course marshmellows! And even though we would have prefered for Dennis to have been employed it was very nice to have him home to take part in all the Christmas festivites! It gave him plenty of time to put up so many lights and decorations outside this year that we blew all our neighbors away! We definetly had bragging rights this year.
Camaryn certainly didn't miss out on gifts this Christmas! She got everything that she wanted and more thanks to the generosity of all of our family, extended family, and wonderful friends! We can only home that 2009 can me as great of a year as 2008 was!
I just uploaded some pictures from Camaryn's first Father/Daughter dance. She was lucky enough to have two escorts rather than one! Her Papa even got her her first corsage! She was thrilled! With two dates she didn't have to worry about having to sit out a song so that her date could rest up! She danced the whole night. She told me that she made several friends and she can't wait to go again next year! Even her dates agreed that the night was tons of fun. Her Daddy and Papa taught taught her how a gentleman should treat a lady and open her doors, pulled out her chairs, and were the perfect companions for the evening! Looks like the annual Father/Daughter dance will be a tradition every year now. She loves her princess gown that she got to wear and Daddy and Papa cleaned up nicely in thier suits! I am sure that they were the best looking trio at the dance!
While they were cutting some rug, I headed over to watch Kaitlyn play soccer. She played even in the rain! What a trooper! After the game we went for a celeabratory dinner at Dusty & Denise's fav taquaria (Rey's) by their old place. Then Nana and I went back to her house to wait on Cami, Den & Papa to get back from the dance. She talked about it for hours! What a lucky little girl she is! The guys did a pretty good job taking pics, but next year I think I'll volunteer for the event so I can see it myself!
Little Miss Carmen was born today at 3:28am to proud parents Jamie & Joel! She weighed a healthy 9lbs and 4oz and mom and baby are both recovering well from a very long labor. Camaryn has been anxiously awaiting her arrival and wants to welcome her to the family!
Wow! What a week! I would have updated earlier but I have been recovering from Camaryn's party on Sat and having major dental work last week! :(
Camaryn had a great birthday week though! The great thing about having your birthday on a Tuesday is that you kind of get to draw it out until your party on the weekend! She took full advantage!
What a great party that she had! Even Capt. Jack made an appearance (thanks so much Andy!) I think everyone had a great time, and most were pretty tuckered out from playing on the waterslide when they left! There was a treasure hunt to the X that marked the spot (the X being a goody filled pinata that Auntie "Neece made from scratch!) And lots of family and friends from near and far! I'd love to leave a detailed account of all the great birthday gifts that she got but there are way to many to list! A big thank you to everyone! We had to spend the whole week finding were to put everything! Thank you cards will be coming your way as soon as Camaryn's wonderful Auntie "Neece finishes making them. She always does a wonderful job and I can't wait to see how they turn out!
Auntie "Neece also managed to snap some pics and even uploaded them to album so that those of you that couldn't make it can check out what you missed! :P
Camaryn had sooooo much fun on her birthday! The day started very early! Mommy woke her up to open all her presents from Daddy & Mommy at 6:30 am! Daddy wanted to see her open them before he went to work! She got mostly clothes! Alot of them! Twelve Gymboree outfits, and about 10 others from various places! Not to mention 4 new glittery Hannah Montana tee's! She also got 6 new pair of shoes, she loooovvvveeeesss shoes! Lots new jewelry including a Hannah watch, a few new DVDs, a the new Jonas Brother's CD. Yes she's a Jo Bro fan too! Hard to believe but my 3yr old is in love with Joe Jonas. She has learned alot of the words to "Burnin Up" lol. After that she had some breakfast. As a rule I let her have whatever she wants to eat on her birthday so in true 3yr old fashion she foregoed the usual breakfast of grits with bacon and cheese (her normal favorite) for cheese crackers and a cupcake. lol. After some cartoons and a nap we headed off to Libby Lou to meet her cousins Kaitlyn and Hope and friend Kayla for make overs and dress up! Of course Camaryn had already decided that she wanted the "On Tour" Pop star package, so we went ahead and got the girls matching shoes and leggins to complete the look! When we got there Auntie "Neece had already rented Cami a stroller (the car one) and decorated it with balloons and bows for the birthday girl! She also gave her a bag full of goodies including a pop-up pirate book, and lots of Hannah Montana make-up and perfume, AND made up the cutes goodie bags with stickers and boutique hair bows and lots of fun stuff for all four girls! As always Auntie 'Neece did way too much! (Thanks so much Denise) Then it was time to start the make overs. They were so cute and had so much fun gettin their makeovers! After they were done they had a little fashion show for mall goers outside the front of the store! You should have seen all the people that stopped and watched them! They had quite a crowd, and they really hammed it up! They looked so cute all dolled up that we just had to go get pictures done, so it was off to the Picture People! That was quite an experience! I felt a little sorry for the photographer! Trying to keep all these rambunctious toddlers in one spot long enough to get a picture was quite a difficult task. By this point even Daddy had gotten off work and met at the mall to take part. He just sat back and watched with a smirk as the 4 of us women jumped up and down, sang, acted silly and generally made fools of ourselves to get a great shot, lol. I think we got a few great ones! While waiting on the pics we took the girls to Build-a-Bear Workshop to make some bears. They all made bears and picked out outfits. Cami decided to name her Bear Hannah Belle, after Hannah Montana and her Great Grandma Dora Belle (all her bears middle names are Belle....she loves Mamaw's middle name!) She picked out an outfit that matched her own for Hannah Belle (right down to a mini microphone), and also got her a pirate costume to match her pirate party on Saturday. Then it was back to the picture studio to pick out what photos we wanted. Note: 4 moms + 5 kids = alot of time picking out pictures! So while we were doing that Dennis & I took Cami down to get another pair of glasses at Lens Crafters. She chose a hot pink pair of Ray Bans!
Nana was having a birthday dinner for Cami so I had to go pick up some cupcakes for the girls, but Daddy took her by the candy store before leaving the mall and let her pick out some candy. We all met back at Nana's and Auntie Barabara was there too! Cami was so tuckered out that she fell asleep and slept on Nana's bed for a little while. When she awoke we all had some awesome ribs (Papa makes the best ever) and chicken, watermelon, blackeyed peas, mash potatoes, and lots of other yummy stuff! (Thanks for the great dinner Nana & Papa) The girls had their own Hannah Montana decorated table, and after dinner enjoyed some cupcakes!
Thanks everyone who was there for making it so special! She had such a great time! She is really looking forward to celebrating with many of her other family and friends on Saturday when she has her big "Pirate" birthday party!
Camaryn wants to give a huge welcome to the newest arrival in our family to her cousin Luke! And it was a wonderful Birthday present to Great Grandma Dora Belle since he was born on her birthday! ( Hapy Birthday Mamaw!)
Congrats to new Mom Amber and Dad Walt, and to new grandparents Cami's Great Uncle Johnny and Great Aunt Theresa! We love you guys and can't wait to meet the lil' man on our trip to Alabama next spring!
Welcome to Camaryn's pirate page! This month, Camaryn says good-bye to the terrible twos and enters the world of preschooler as a 3 year old!! Yay Camaryn!
Camaryn is doing great in her glasses, she seems to really love wearing them and doesn't put up a fuss at all to wear them. She's great at spelling her name and counting.
Camaryn is a girly girl at heart, she loves to have her nails done, her hair pretty and to dance. She's also a pro at giving mean looks if she's in the mood ;)
Camaryn's birthday party is this month, August 30 in true Sanchez style. Follow the treasure map to the Sanchez Island on your black pearl, the party begins at 6 :) There will be a giant water slide, and tons of fun for both kids and adults ;)
Recently
Camaryn was diagnosed with strabismus. We first noticed a couple of
months ago when she became tired her left eye would start to turn in
giving her a crossed eyed, or lazy eyed apperance. It was very
infrequent so I didn't worry about it. In the last couple of weeks it
has become more and more pronounced. We took her to a pediatric
Opthomologist and they confirmed the stramisbus. They type that Camaryn
has can only be corrected and managed with constant use of glasses. Not
only glasses but bi-focals. I almost lost it in the Dr.s office when he
was explaining to me that my adorable little girl was going to have to
wear bi-focals into her adult life. I don't like it, it's crushing,
heart wrenching, all of that.....but it is what it is. We plan to take
her to have a second opinion but I have prepared myself for the fact
that she may be stuck in glasses. I think the fact that they are
bi-focals (with the line through the middle) it makes it all the worst.
We are going to try to make the most of it, pick out some really cute
ones together and try to get her in the habit of wearing them full time
as soon as she gets her new sets. I ask all of our friends and family
just to remain really positive about it in her presence. She is really
a very sharp and smart little girl and I don't want her to think that
the glasses are a bad thing, or that people are feeling sympathy for
her. Dennis and I may go get some frames w/clear lenses just to wear in
support of her for a while. I know that my niece Kaitlyn wants to get
some to support her cousin as well. (Thanks Kaitlyn :)..kisses)
Just want to give everyone a head up that this is what is going on to avoid all the questions and explanations in her presence.
2007 was a year of much heartache and happiness. There were great times, and really horrible times. I haven't written much because I knew there was no way of updating this site without acknowledging the passing of our beloved Matthew on October 15, 2007. There will always be a space in our family that will never be filled. We love and miss him so much, and although he will never have Matthew back we will cherish his memory and honor it. He was with us such a brief amount of time, however his impact on us was infinite.
Camaryn's birthday party is right around the corner! Invitations will be sent out shortly for her party on August 25! Camaryn's mommy has to collect addresses again for this special Sponge Bob Luau! If you could puhlease e-mail Camaryn's mommy with your address, it would be most appreciated! You can also RSVP here and see her wish list :)
Alot has been going on the past week. Many of you know Camaryn's Auntie Denise. She is in fact the person who maintains this site, changing the backgrounds periodically as well as adding pictures and contributing updates. Well Auntie 'Neece as Camaryn refers to her is 6 months pregnant and last Saturday night was admitted to the hospital because her bag of waters broke. She has gone a week in the hospital now and has reached a milestone! With a baby as young as Matthew it is important that he stay in his mommy as long as possible! Everyday is an oppurtunity for his lungs to develop and for him to grow stronger. Denise will have to stay in the Hospital until she delivers, and as much as that is no fun we are hoping that she can keep him in with minimal complications until she is 34 weeks pregnant. We can't see Auntie Neece as much as we like since we need to keep the risk of infection at bay but Cami sure does miss her and hopes that you will all keep her in your thoughts and prayers until Camaryn new baby cousin Matthew makes his appearence into the world safe and sound! Until then we'll help her in anyway possible and make sure that cousin Kaitlyn maintains as much of a normal routine with lots of fun and playing until mommy and baby brother are home! We love you and miss you Auntie 'Neece!!!
Wow! What an amazing week! I can't remember when I had more fun! Disneyland was such an amazing experience! I mean I have been there dozens of times, however it is so different when you go as a mom! Of course it made it double fun for me that Dennis had never been, and he got to experience everything for the first time with our daughter. The week was all about her! She had a blast on the plane ride, and loved looking at the window and seeing how high we were! She was such a good girl the entire way! She watched "The Sponge Bob Square Pants Movie" on daddy's laptop. We arrived at our hotel Tuesday afternoon, and checked into our room early. Dennis decided to take Cami for her first swim of the season at the pool. She had such a blast swimming with daddy and didn't want to get out of the pool! We went back and changed before heading to the patio restaurant next to the pool! After that it was time to get to bed early and get some good z's in before heading to Disneyland in the morning!
Day 1 (Wednesday) Cami got up much earlier than usual with no complaints! She was so excited! We had a quick breakfast before heading to the park! We got there just as the park was opening and got our tickets before heading inside. First stop was Tomorrow land. Cami rode the Buzz Lightyear ride and loved it! She got her own tazer and was trying to beat mommy to see how many targets she could hit! Then it was off to other attractions, including a 3-D show, monorail ride, and space shuttle ride! We stop for a quick bite to eat and watched some Jedi Knights battle Darth Vader, and Darth Maul before heading over to Mickey's Toon Town! We stop to ride a Small World, but while in the very short line Camaryn was so tuckered out that she fell fast asleep right before we loaded onto the ride! She slept the entire way through so after getting off the ride daddy decided that the two of them would take a siesta on a bench for a while I scoped out what to do next! When she woke up she was ready to hit toon town! We checked out Minnie's house, and then headed over to see Mickey's! We were lucky enough to catch Mickey at home, and Camaryn got to take a few pictures with him! She was very enamored with Mickey, and he was pretty smitten with her as well! It took us a little while to get them apart! She didn't want to let go of him, and he didn't want to stop huggin on her either! After she was done giving Mickey many kisses, and hugs we went by Donald's boat, Goofy's house, and rode on Roger's Rabbit's cartoon spin! We decided to head back to a Small World and let Cami try riding it awake! She loved it so much that she begged us to ride again! So we loaded back on the ride and rode it again! From there it was the Dumbo ride, Pinocchio, and off to Pirate's of the Caribbean! Pirate's was fun, however not Camaryn's favorite ride. Whenever there was a scary part she would use daddy's hand to cover her face until it was over! By the end she was singin yo-ho yo-ho with the pirate's, but when I asked her if she wanted to ride it again, she grinned at me and drawled out a "nooooooo mommy!". We checked out a few shops before calling it a day! It was fairly early still, however our baby girl was pretty tired and we still had 4 more days inside the park!
Day 2 (Thursday) We arose and had breakfast a Tiffy's next door to our Hotel. The manager even came over to our table and played a tune for Camaryn on the old fashioned piano. Then it was off to the park again! We re-rode all of her favorites from the first day, and rode some new rides. We also checked out the California Adventure Park as well, and she got to see Sully from Monster's Inc and take some pictures! It was there she rode the Monster's Inc ride! She wasn't too keen on riding in her stroller, preferring instead to show mommy and daddy where it was she thought we should go next! It was too crowded and the park was surprising easy to navigate
Day 3 (Friday) We planned for all the parades! There were 2 parades in Disneyland, then 2 more at California Adventure! Then at 9:45 we planned to watch the fireworks spectacular! We also took that opportunity to eat at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney, as well as visit some of the shops that were there! Camaryn loved the Rainforest Cafe! This one was huge and had 3 levels! We sat between the gorillas and the elephants and they were set to go off around every 5 minutes alternately with a rainforest thunderstorm about every 10. From there we went to watch the first parade on the list...it was the Block party parade. Camaryn got to go up and dance with some of the dancer's and characters from Monster's Inc. Then we hurried back over to Disneyland to watch the "Parade of a Million Dreams" It was very elaborate! Then it was back to CA Adventure to watch the "Pep Rally" by that point it was getting chilly and Cami was tired so we decided to try to make it back to the Hotel for a nap and to get changed. Well Miss Cami slept so long we missed the "Electrical Parade" but made it back just in time to catch the fireworks! It was even more amazing than I remember them as a kid! By that point she was pretty tired, but wanted to go ride the Flying Dumbo ride before heading back!
Day 4 (Saturday) We decided to skip Disneyland since they were closing early due to the Hollywood premiere of "Pirate's of the Caribbean" so instead we slept in and then decided to book a shuttle to go to Knott's Berry Farm. We headed out at 1:30 pm and got there a little after 2pm but the park was extremely crowded and there was a lot of construction going on. In short it didn't look like much fun! We called the shuttle company and asked them to come back and get us! In the meantime we checked out some Camp Snoopy shops on the outside, and had lunch at the TGIF's there. We headed back to the Hotel, and Cami played in the pool with daddy for hours!
Day 5 (Sunday) We met up with Penny, Mike and their 2 adorable kids Sawyer and Savannah! Penny is a friend of Cami's auntie Denise, and they live close to the park. They were nice enough to offer to show us around since they are seasoned pro's at Disneyland! Savannah is the same age as Camaryn, and Sawyer will be 2 in June. The kids hit it off right away......and so did the adults for that matter! We quickly bonded over kid stories and they were easy going and a lot of fun to hang out with! Camaryn had reservations for the "Princess Dinner" at 4pm....so we separated for a short time for dinner. At the dinner Cami (& her parents) were the Royal guests of honor! Yay us. Our table was the first table that the princess's visited and took pictures with! Camaryn loved all of them, and gave them all big kisses and hugs when they came by to visit. She was too excited to eat much! After dinner we met up with Penny, Mike, Sawyer & Savannah again! The kids wanted to go on the huge Sunwheel ferris wheel so off we went! I tell ya we have some daredevils on our hands! They loved the swinging car, that quite honestly had us grown ups a little white knuckled! Those kids were screaming in delight! They were pretty upset when the ride was over and we had to get off! After that we hightailed it back to Disneyland and made it back in time for the parade. It was more fun to watch the expression on the faces of our little cuties than it was to actually watch the parade! We of course rode more rides! Those kids ran us ragged! Then we enjoyed the fireworks before calling it a night. I have to say that Mike was quite the trooper being the only one of us that had to get up early and go to work the next day!
Day 6 (Monday) Our last day in the park had to be extra special so Daddy had the Concierge at the Hotel book us a Character breakfast with a couple of Cami's favorite's....Lilo & Stitch!! We had to rush over to the Paridise Pier Hotel for our 8:45am reservation but it was well worth it! It was a scrumptious buffet with yummy food, and not only was Lilo and Stitch there...but so was Minnie and Pluto! Camaryn was so excited to see them...she really tried to do a good job at eating breakfast, but every time she caught a glimpse she would squeal with delight! The breakfast was by far one of the better parts of our trip. It was very relaxed and all of the character's spent a lot of time at our table and they each received many kisses and hugs from a very excited Miss Camaryn. She also learned to Hula from Lilo, and after the lesson she decided to take Lilo on her own tour of the resturant. She led her around by the hand for a good while around all the tables until I had to tote her off under protest back to her table so that she could finish her breakfast. After breakfast it was straight to the park. We tried to get in all of the rides and attractions that we hadn't been on yet! We had been there for five full days already, and one would think we'd already done everything there was to do.....however one would be wrong! There is so much to do between the two parks! We set on our course of fun and got as much accomplished as possible! We were at each park until closing and headed home with a delriously tired baby girl (and daddy) and a sad mommy that it was all over!
Departing Day(Tuesday) Even though Dennis said that he wasn't sad to be going home, I knew he was a little. It was such a great family vacation! It truly was magical! We had to pack up all our stuff and board the shuttle to the airport! The flight home went off without a hitch! Camaryn loved the noisy take off and landing of the plane, and the more turbulence the better in her book! We got some weird looks from other passengers when we hit the rough spots and Cami squealed out "wheeee mommy!!!!!"
Nana and Papa were waiting at baggage for us when we got in to Sacramento. Cami was very excited to see them and tell them all about her trip. We stopped along the way to pick up so lunch and she chatted all about the trip. Even singing Papa her pirates song...."yo ho yo ho!"
I am planning to go back as soon as I can talk Dennis into it........for some reason I don't think it'll be that hard!
It's me, Auntie Denise, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Miss Camaryn back in Sacramento! I just wanted to share an update and some pictures from Disney!!
I have an awesome friend in the LA area. I love her to death, unfortunatly, I haven't been able to meet her in real life. We're hoping this August. However, Camaryn and her mommy and Daddy got to meet Penny, her husband Mike and their two kids Sawyer (who is just a bit older than Kaitlyn) and Savannah (who is basically the same age as Camaryn), I've been told that all the kids had a blast and I got some pictures to share with everyone!!
Here are some pictures and you can see them on the picture page as well :)
In other news, on Mother's Day, our little Miss Camaryn rose to become a National Queen. Camaryn was in a Natural Pageant and was crowned Tiny Miss Natural USA. You should start lining up now for autographs because this little beauty star has a few appearances lined up this year as part of her title. Two of her upcoming local appearances will be June 9 at 10:00 AM for the Doggy Dash and again on June 23 for the Citrus Heights Parade! Be sure to e-mail her mommy for information on how you can see the Queen for yourself!
Sunday..........and a very special Sunday! It is sopose to rain, and I am feeling like I want to crawl back under the covers and not come out for the rest of the day! Only problem is I kinda promised Little Miss Camaryn a trip to see SpongeBob, and she won't forget! We have been looking forward to it, so I drag myself out of bed and get showered while she and daddy play. Aunt Jamie & Uncle Joel call and we plan to meet at Nana & Papa's house at 12:30. We make the drive over to Placer County Fair Grounds for the annual Strawberry Festival. It is actally a gorgeous day by the time we get there, and we are all quite warm and wished we had a few less layers! The forecast for rain obviously kept alot of people away because it wasn't even crowded! No lines for the rides, and Cami decided right off she wanted to ride the big ferris wheel, She kept pointing to it saying "whee mommy, whee"! I was a bit aprehensive thinking she'd probably get spooked at the top, but she got on with daddy and had nothing but smiles the whole time! Even putting her arms in the air! After the ferris wheel it was on to the swing ride, which she conned Papa into going on! She loved it! We walked around for a bit more and decided to find the reason why we came, SpongeBob, She is obsessed with him right now. It's all she wants to watch! She has just about every SpongeBob item ever made! So after finding him she couldn't get down to get to him fast enough! Once she was down that was it, there was no getting her away! She didn't want the other kids near him, and she kept shouting " my bob-bob, mine!!" Luckily it wasn't that busy so we'd have to drag her away so that a kid here or there could get a picture, and as soon as she got the chance she was right back on him again! It was well worth the trip just for her to get to see SpongeBob! When it was time to go she was upset to say the least! Since Dennis was the one to have to be the bad guy and carry her away....he got the brunt of her furry, and she slapped him. Not once, but five times! I know I shouldn't have laughed, but it was honestly pretty darned funny! While Nana told her how that wasn't very nice, and her daddy had drove her all the way here to see SpongeBob, and that SpongeBob had to go home now, her Papa, Auntie Jamie, Uncle Joel and I had to hold back snickers! Hehe! She calmed down enough for us all to get some good grub and head back to the midway. She rode the helicopter with Daddy and then with Papa and then decided she wanted to go down the big slide. They were about to close but she liked going down with Uncle Joel so much that she really wanted to go down with Daddy once, and Papa once as well! It was such a fun day and not a drop of rain! I can't find the adapter to my camera to download pictures....but luckily Auntie Jamie emailed me some from Sunday, and Auntie Denise uploaded some from Saturday, so be sure to check them out!
Camaryn & I have both been really sick, and house bound mostly for the last week and a half, however by Saturday ( Nana's Birthday!) Cami was feeling much better! Although I was a bit under the weather I drug myseld out anyway to partake in the birthday festivities! First we went to breakfast, and the girls were so good! People kept coming up to say have adorable and well behaved the girls were! Then it was off to Vacaville where we planned to take Nana to do her favorite thing! Outlet shop! And to go to the newly re-opened Nut Tree. Dusty & I went there often as kids and couln't wait to take the girls there too! We headed to the Nut Tree first since after sitting like such good girls at breakfast, and the long drive they needed to blow off some steam! Kautlyn wanted to ride the Choo-choo first, and even added that word to Camaryn's vocabulary! She has been saying it none stop since her cousin taught it to her Saturday! The girls decided that they wanted to ride in the caboose so that they could see the rest of the train as it wound around the park. Next was the carosel, Nana and Uncle Dusty took them as we watched from the sidelines! We had bought tons of tickets, but unfourtunately it began to rain so we packed up and headed to the outlets. Kaitlyn was fast asleep in the time it took us to drive over the freeway, so Dusty sat in the car with her while the rest of us shoped. For some reason Camaryn decided that she only wanted Auntie Denise.....or "Neeece" as Cami calls her, to hold her, and that Auntie Neeece's swollen baby bump makes a perfect seat for Camaryn. Even though Cami is pretty heavy, Denise endured since only she would do for Camaryn! After getting our fill of the shops the girls decided that it was time to eat so we headed to Applebee's! We got a huge round table and the girls loved it since they would just walk along the bench to whomever's plate that they wished to sample off of! Camaryn would give a sweet kiss or a kind pat on the back to butter you up before swipping a morsel off your plate. She is such a little diva that if she does not feel like dhe has 100% of your attention then she will put both hands on each of your cheeks and steer your head to the desired location. Uncle Dusty liked to pretend not to listen so that he could get her to do it over and over again, raising her voice slightly whenever she would say " Duh-dee"(Dusty). After eating, we headed home with our tuckered little girls and they played at Nana's until it was time for cake! Denise made a delish looking chocolate cupcake tear away cake! Pretty cool cake! It was a bunch of cupcakes that formed a whole cake on top, but could be torn away individually! The girls helped Nana blow out her candles and each got thier own cupcake. While Kaitlyn daintily licked away at the layer of frosting, got bored and went to play, Camaryn dug in and ate about every last crumb, throwing her hands in protection over her plate anytime Uncle Dusty walked by her! It was such a long day there was hardly even the usual bedtime fight, she just snuggled down with mommy & went right to sleep!
