December 10, 2009: We took a trip to James Island to look at the lights! We went with our friends, The Campbells and my buddy Harper and I wore our matching Rudolf shirts. We rode on a little train through the park to look at the lights, but all I want to do is get out and run. Then we went to see Santa, but I didn't enjoy it like I did last year. I think it was partly because he had a fake beard Mommy and Daddy are hoping that next year we can get a good picture.
December 1, 2009: I went to my 18 month checkup today. I am stil growing! I weigh 31 pounds and I'm 34 inches tall. I'm in the 90% for height and 75% for weight! Also, I am nonstop until bedtime! My favorite thing to do is walk and sometimes run! Mommy can barely keep up 
November 26, 2009: My second Thanksgiving and boy did I enjoy myself! This year, I got to eat ALL the food, and I didn't leave a crumb We spent Thanksgiving at Mimi's house, then went to Grandma and Grandpa's the next day. We had a good time, but I've realized that I don't really like sleeping away from home...I was up every morning by 5! Happy Thanksgiving!
October 25, 2009: We've had a fun weekend! Today we went to the pumpkin patch and picked out a couple of pumpkins to carve. I was all over the place and Mommy and Daddy were chasing me everywhere! On Friday, we went to the corn maze. There was so much fun stuff to do! First, we took some pictures with the scarecrow, then we looked at some animals. I saw cows, sheep, horses, chicks, and goats. I loved all of them and wanted to pet them! I even poked one of the sheep in it's nose; luckily it was very friendly. Then, we went on a hayride and it was so much fun! I wanted to get up and walk around, but Mommy and Daddy made me sit down; I did not like that very much. I am getting so independent now...I brush my own teeth and feed myself with a fork and spoon and I can drink out of a straw! After the hayride, I picked out a little pumpkin and Mommy and Daddy helped me decorate it with paint and stickers. Now, it's sitting right outside the front door with our other pumpkins! Then, we went through the corn maze. We only made it to the first few checkpoints and I got tired, so we left. But on the way out, Mommy ran over a little green snake with my stroller! Then, we ran out of there  I'm still getting over my first ear infection; it's a doozy! I had to go back to the doctor to get different antibiotics because the first ones were not working. But, I'm turning the corner now and feeling much better; my appetite is coming back and I'm playing and acting like my old self. It doesn't help that I'm also getting in THREE molars at the same time! It's been a rough couple of weeks, but I'm a trooper This week, we are going to carve pumpkins and get ready for Halloween! My buddy Harper and I are going to hang out together and may even go trick or treating together! See you soon!
October 22, 2009: Hello friends and family! Wait til you hear what's been going on with me...I'm almost 17 months old now and I have been walking for a solid two months!! I took my first steps while helping mommy throw something away. Mommy was so happy and proud of me and I'm pretty proud of myself too At my last doctor's appointment I was 32 inches tall and weighed 28 pounds.
We've spent the first part of fall playing outside, going to a couple of Georgia Tech tailgates, picking out pumpkins and getting my Halloween costume! I'm going to be a monkey this year I love playing outside and my favorite part is going down the slide...I can even climb up the ladder by myself! I'm getting so big and talking more and more everyday! Since I started walking, I've gone from 28 pounds to 26 pounds. I think this is the first time I've lost weight since I was born! I'm getting excited for my 2nd Halloween...I might even go trick or treating  Check back in for pictures from Halloween!

August 26, 2009: I'm 15 months old already! Time has flown by and so has the summer! We've been to the waterpark and the pool trying to take advantage of our last bit of summer left! I also love swinging and sliding in the backyard. I'm so close to walking...I'm still building up my confidence to let go and take those first steps on my own. But, Mommy and Daddy are trying with me at home and I have taken a few steps. I just had my 15 month check up and I'm a big boy! 26 lb. 12 oz., 32 and 3/4 in tall, 90th percentile overall! Mom says I'm getting too heavy to carry around :) Next week is an exciting one for me because I start going to Child's Day Out on Monday. I will spend some time with some new friends a couple of days a week, playing, and socializing, and maybe learning some new things! Mommy and Daddy are hoping that this will also help with my seperation anxiety. We are going to meet my teacher tonight and we are very excited! Come back soon and see how it goes...

Carter, we just can not believe you are 15 months old..Time has certainly gone by fast, but it's good you are growing so much. The walking thing will come when you least expect it..but Papa and Mimi know you'll do just fine..and then you'll just go all over the place and Mommy and Daddy will have to start chasing you...We love you beautiful sweet baby...

July 26, 2009: I'm 14 months old today! I'm all over the house and wearing Mommy out! I've also stopped drinking bottles! It's all sippy cups for this big boy! Don't think it will be too long now until I'm walking. I have to make sure I'm going to get it just right before I take those first steps. Daddy predicts another 2 weeks!
July 18, 2009: I started pulling up today! There is no stopping me now, I go where I want, when I want! I'm getting into all sorts of trouble and Mommy and Daddy are constantly going behind me to clean up after I go through all the cabinets. I love my new found freedom, and when I start walking, Mommy and Daddy are gonna be in big trouble!
July 13, 2009: I started crawling today! I surprised Mommy and Daddy by doing my special "crump crawl", as Daddy calls it. They thought I would just skip it and go straight to walking, but I'm showing them that I'm going to do things in my own time! It's really funny to watch me crawl and I'm getting pretty fast!
July 4, 2009: My second 4th of July! We spent Friday at the beach splashing in the waves. I played with the sand a little and had so much fun in the water. So much so, that I fell asleep in the car on the way home! Then, on Saturday, spent the day at The Campbell's house. We had a barbeque and shot off some fireworks. I liked some of them, but others were a little too loud ;) Maybe next year, I'll be able to watch the BIG show!
June 29, 2009: I just turned 13 months old on Friday. I just started cruising along the furniture a couple of weeks ago and I'm sure I'll be walking soon! I also just took my first plane ride a couple of weeks ago too. We went to California for Aunt Nikkie's wedding and we had a great time! My second 4th of July is coming up soon and we have some fun things planned! Check back in to see what I'm up to next...
May 26, 2009: My birthday! I'm officially one year old! We spent the day having lunch with Daddy and Mimi at a Mexican restaurant and the waitresses put a big sombrero on my head and sang to me! Then we went to the outlets with Mimi where she bought me some new clothes. That's where Mommy gave me my first lollipop...yummy!! Then after dinner, Mommy and Daddy gave me some leftover cake from my party and I ate almost the whole piece! What a great day! Mommy and Daddy can't believe it's been a year already :) I've grown and changed so much over the past year and there's more to come!
May 24, 2009: My first birthday party!! We had a great time although the weather was nasty and I wasn't feeling my best. Four of my teeth are cutting through and that's made me a little sick. But, I loved playing with all my new toys and swinging on my new playset! I tried a little of my cake, and liked reading all of my cards. Thank you Mimi and Papa, Grandma and Grandpa, Great Aunt Sharon, Auntie Ashley, Auntie Kristi, Uncle Robert, Mrs. Terra, Mr. Tim, and Mrs. Gretchen for sharing my special day!
April 26 2009: I'm 11 months old today! That means in exactly one month, I will officially be a toddler! There is a bittersweet feeling about this, but I'll always be Mommy and Daddy's "baby". Mommy has started thinking about my first birthday party and I can't wait to get my hands on my first "sweet"....some cake!! I'm getting more teeth in (possibly 5!) so I've been a little fussy. But, I'm a trooper and I've been doing well considering. Check back for pictures of my party and hope you can come! Love you all!
April 12, 2009: My first Easter! We had a great day and weekend! On Friday I went on my first Easter egg hunt with Mommy, Daddy, and Papa Carter, and I even put a couple of eggs in my basket! Then on Sunday after church, I got to look through my Easter baskets. Mommy and Daddy gave me one and Papa gave me the other one. They were filled with books, toys, and even a pair of sunglasses! Then we had dinner and I gobbled up ham, green bean casserole, and sweet potato souffle...yummy!! Happy Easter everyone!
April 4, 2009: I've said my first "word"! I said "Dada". Daddy of course is so proud and has tried to catch it on video too! Mommy and Daddy are so excited and love seeing my little personlality shine through.

March 11, 2009: It's been a long time since I've had a story put up. I'm 9 and 1/2 months old now, and eventhough I'm not crawling yet, I'm still so active! One morning, Mommy and Daddy were so surprised to find that during the night, I turned around in my crib! I love being outside, standing up (with help of course) and trying to get smiles out of everyone I meet! Right now I weigh 22 1/2 pounds and I'm 30" tall! I'm already wearing 12 month old clothes and I'm just growing like a weed. Mommy and Daddy think I'm going to grow up to be very tall. Who knows, maybe I'll be walking soon!

My goodness, you are a growing boy...Papa and Mimi really love reading your stories. They are wonderful because while we can't see you as often as we would like, they keep us in touch with how you are doing and all the different things you are doing. December 12, 2008: I went to see Santa today! I was so good and didn't even cry! I told Santa that I have been a good boy the whole [half a year] and what I would like for Christmas. Even Mommy sat in his lap! We had a great time! Merry Christmas!
12-3-08: My 6 month checkup. I had to get more shots but mommy and I were strong and didn't cry very long. I weigh 17 lb 12.oz and I'm 28 in long! I'm sitting up and rolling all by myself. I try to get my hands on as many things as I can so I can put them in my mouth! I'm looking forward to my first Christmas and seeing Santa!
11-26-08: I'm 6 months old today! I'm eating all kinds of fruits and vegetables and I love every bite. It's also my first Thanksgiving. I think the turkey made me sleepy because I slept for 12 hours straight!
