Summer Fun! August 2009 – After a big month of traveling it was so nice to resettle and have some summer fun at home.  The boys have had a blast Stroller Striding the summer away, playing with friends in the park, and spending time in the pool at Grandma and Grandpa’s house.  They are learning to play together more and more…though often times this means football, and Wyatt being tackled by Camden.  Wyatt has graduated from the high chair and now proudly sits at the table in the booster seat that Cam previously used.  Cam happily gave up his throne for the privilege of sitting in a regular chair like the grown ups!  Cam is becoming more and more of a “big boy” and it’s all Wyatt can do to keep up.  From longer phrases, to jumping on the couch, climbing to dangerous heights on the playground, and signing in the car, he attempts everything his big brother does, and half the time succeeds!  He is so cute…and a little scary!  It will be interesting to see how both boys adjust to the school year as Cam starts his first year of preschool  It will be so nice to have some one-on-one time with Wyatt, but I think we’ll miss Cam too.  Cam is getting more and more excited for the year to start.  He likes to do things all by himself as a way of proving that he’s ready, like clearing his place at the table, dressing himself, using the bathroom without any adult supervision, buckling his own seatbelt, etc.

Uncle Matt and Aunt Toni successfully purchased a home in Yorba Linda this month, which means lots more time playing together in September and beyond.  Their new home has a park across the street and the boys have already started familiarizing themselves with the lay of the land.  More family equals more fun!

Seeing Scandinavia! July 2009- July in the Clewett Family usually means one thing, Family Vacation!  Yay!  This year was an especially big deal as Papa was taking the whole family on a 10 day cruise of Scandinavia.  The four of us decided to make it a 14 day holiday and planned on staying a couple extra days in Copenhagen.  Mommy and Daddy were excited, but also a little concerned taking out little men (3 and 1.5 yrs old) halfway across the world and onto a cruise ship that would float in the middle of a big sea, surrounded by various foreign lands, far from the comforts and conveniences of home.  But, the promise of fun memories and once in a lifetime experiences were too hard to pass up.  Plus, we are raising two international men of mystery, so starting the world travelling early is pretty much required.

So we packed our bags, and lots of them, and headed out on an adventure.  Our travel day was an adventure in itself, which included a 15 hour flight time (OC to Atlanta to Copenhagen!).  The boys not only survived the flight but did extremely well.  Cam was well behaved and slept, while Wyatt decided he was a Rock Star and wanted to hang out with all of the stewardesses in the back all night!

Copenhagen- We got to the hotel, took some quick naps and then headed out  the Copenhagen Zoo.  The Zoo was wonderful and the boys had a great time.  We were able to get very close to all of the animals, close enough that the hippos were down right frightening!  The Elephants, Giraffes, Lions and Monkeys (Wyatt and Cam talked to them) were the big hits of the day.  Then we got our ice cream and headed home.  The next day we met up with Auntie E, MyMy, and Kelly to tour the beautiful canals and eat lunch.  All four of us got to fit in a Rickshaw and cruise around the city, it was awesome for us, not so much for the poor guy peddling us around.  Then off to Tivoli Gardens Amusement Park, the world’s oldest, which was full of good food, fun rides and lots of games.  The boys loved the gardens, driving boats/cars/planes and eating ice cream!  Off to bed, to get ready for our big boat ride.

Day At Sea- The boys were in shock and awe of the size of the boat.  We ran all over right away and quickly discovered the kids club, the pools, the movies and the pizza!  We all spent a good portion of the day in the pool and then on to the kids club, where we climbed on the jungle gym, completed craft projects and played games. Then we got ready for our big Formal Dinner.  All the Clewett men went in style, wearing tuxedos and big smiles!  So handsome.  We finished off the evening with a huge Volcano Sunday followed by a magic act that blew our little minds! The boys enjoyed the smaller cruise ship room, especially the balcony, on which they would stand and scream “Hello” to all of the passing boats! For Mommy and Daddy, the cruise room was an adventure in itself, with all four of us sleeping in one queen bed, which was full of tossing, turning, kicking, giggling and cuddling.  Each night we would all watch part of a kids movie and go to bed together, which was a great part of the vacation.

Stockholm, Sweden- We saw horses, beautiful rivers, the capital building and then went on to the Royal Palace.  Upon reviewing the formal dress of all the different members of the Royal Family, Cam decided that he would like to be the King of our house and that Daddy and Wyatt could be Princes, Mommy was still the boss.  After a local lunch and changing of the guard, we were back to the Boat.

Helsinki, Finland- Although we drove through the city and saw some of the sites, the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves at a local farmers market, full of unique foods, toys and clothes.  We ate lots of strawberries (perfectly round ones), snap peas (HUGE) and fish (whole!) and got to play with lots of locally made puzzles and games.  It was another beautiful day that ended with a walk through a park and the sounds of live music played by 4 young girls, the boys were hypnotized.

St Petersburg, Russia- Our most active stop.  We stayed in port two days and tried to fit a lot of site-seeing on a private tour bus during that time.  We saw the Hermitage National Museum, Catherine’s Winter Palace, The Church of Spilled Blood, The Fortress of Peter and Paul, the National Vodka Museum and the XXX Church.  We also got very involved eating many different Russian foods at authentic restaurants.  Our favorite place included live Russian folk music and dancing.  The boys got to play instruments and clap along.  After, we got to play in a large yard with lots of Russian playground equipment and new toys.  The boys were good at all the sight-seeing stops, often asking very direct questions and saying things that were pretty funny “Why do angels have wings?”, “Why is gold shiny?”, “Why is this house so big?”,  “I like stro-ga-noff,  its good Russian food”.  The days were long and involved many naps on the bus, but we survived, picked up some cool Russian hats, toys and instruments and learned a lot about history.

Talin, Estonia- What a cool little town.  We enjoyed the mid-evil feel as we walked through the old-town which was set in a castle.  We even found a great mid-evil place to eat that served bear, boar and elk sausage and homemade beverages, brewed by monks!  We didn’t get to stay too long, which was somewhat sad, but we enjoyed a good meal, and got to look at knight relics and pretend that we were rulers of the castle.  Back on the boat, we headed to the kids club, were we were the rulers of everything.

Gnask, Poland- After a busy couple days, we decided just to relax on the boat.  Heading first to the kids club and then to the pool.  With not many people around, we had our run of the whole ship.  Lots of Pizza, Ice Cream and a nice long nap!  We played miniature golf, Cam almost beat Daddy, although Wyatt preferred to try and throw the balls overboard.  It was a perfectly relaxing day, followed by a nice dinner and enjoying a late night music show.

Day At Sea- Kids club and English Pub.  We ran around and then ate our fish and chips.  All week we discovered that the boys love live music, dancing and eating new things.  They were such troopers and usually stayed up much later than usual, given their new time zones.  We tried a couple nice dinners during the week, followed by entertainment and ice cream.  A formula for success!  No matter where we went, the boys were often the main attraction.  Wyatt had to be the youngest cruiser on the whole boat, and Cam was right there too.  A lot of people commented on how well-behaved and cute they were as we flew from fun activity to fun activity.

Oslo, Norway- We got to tour the world’s most expensive city by bus, but we hit lots of hot spots.  First we went to the Great Park, which was amazing.  EASILY the best play ground that we have ever, ever seen or played on.  We told the group to go ahead and we caught up with them later.  We could not pass up this amazing playground.  We saw the ski jumps and the Viking Museum, both drew some oohs and ahhs.  Cam and Wyatt would fit in great as little Viking men, as they could make great mean faces and grunt!

Copenhagen- Back on land, boy does our hotel room look huge now!  The boys got to show grandma and grandpa the Tivoli Gardens amusement park and had even more fun the second time around.  We had beautiful weather all trip, until a 45 minute raging thunderstorm roared through the amusement park and scared the boys a little.  We were wet, but we made it back to the hotel after another fun filled day.

The flight home was a long one, boys were good but everyone was tired.  Our little world travelers were definitely ready to get back home.  We all made it and now have some precious memories with all of our cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparents.  The boys were loved all trip, from all different directions.

June Boom! June 2009 – This month Wyatt has started speaking two and three word sentences to all our amazement!  Most of these sentences end with “too” or “pees.”  i.e. “Blanket too!” “Baba too!” or “Snack pees.”  Other favorite phrases include “Mommy are you?” and “Baba are you?” which he wondered aloud even if his mommy and his baba are in sight or within his reach!  My favorite though is “Uh oh bagettios!” (translation: Uh oh spagettios), which he liked to say as he purposely droped food off his high chair, or when his brother accidentally knocked something over.  His personality is growing by the day, and he now loves to run and tackle his daddy, just like Cam, and even more, he likes to give raspberries to people and objects throughout the day!  All these things make him giggle and it’s pretty contagious!  Cam isn’t without a few new and hilarious phrases of his own this month.  By far the funniest has to be his assertion that “When I turn three I’m going to wipe my buns all by myself!”  His birthday was at the end of the month and we’ve been trying to prep him for all the “big boy” things he will be doing when he heads to preschool for the first time in the fall.  This is apparently the one responsibility that really stuck with him!

Halfway through the month we welcomed a new cousin into the family!  Baby Aidan Robert Brown was born on June 17th at 3:04am weighing 7lbs. 10oz.  Auntie Alicia and Uncle Steve were incredible through the entire delivery process and Baby Aidan couldn’t be cuter.  So far he’s very mellow, which only makes sense given his super calm parents!  A few days later we all celebrated Father’s Day together and got to swoon over the little cutie pie to our hearts content.  Cam and Wyatt were very interested in what he was doing at all times and even had a chance to hold him (assisted of course) for the first time.

Father’s Day at Grandma and Grandpa’s house meant swimming, of course, and fresh from their lessons, the boys were amazing.  The confidence they had made swimming so much more fun and interactive.  The culmination of Cam’s swim lesson experience also took place this month.  The big “Survival Test” went down as planned with Cam being thrown into the pool with his street clothes, including his shoes, on.  He did, well, swimmingly!  As we all held our breathes, he flipped onto his back and floated for 60 seconds and then turned back over and found the edge!  Of course we all cheered, and Cam, who was cool as a cucumber during the test, began to bawl!  The crying was a result of adrenaline…and a genuine concern for his Sponge Bob flip flops which were floating around the pool.  After the ordeal was over he was rewarded with a special ribbon and even got to stand on an Olympicesque podium for a picture with his teacher, Mr. Mark.  Talk about becoming a “big boy” I was so proud!

Our friends the Brases came out from Arizona for a visit and Cam was reunited with Madison, his flower girlfriend from Auntie E and Uncle Mymy’s wedding.  Madison’s little sister Hailey was along too, and the whole gang, including Kayla, had a blast swimming, running, eating smores, and playing in the yard.  Wyatt was a maniac in the pool showing off for all the girls.  He even jumped in from the side and kept telling us all “again!” and “more!”  Meanwhile Cam made his move on both Madison and Hailey in the spa.  Cornering them one at a time for a super sweet smooch!

The month ended with a super duper celebration of Cam's third birthday.  We wanted to scale back the party from past galas, so we decided not to rent out My Gym.  Instead we created our own!  A pirate party was held in our backyard complete with pirate games and a deluxe bouce house.  All in all, it was probably just as big, if not bigger than our past parties!  Oh well, the kids had a great time walking the plank, tossing bean bags into the pirate treasure chest, and raising the parachute...I mean sail.  Not to mention the bouncing!  Kids of all ages enjoyed the bouncer!  From 1 to 31 (Daddy and Uncle Mikey), feet were flying!

May Days! May 2009 – Busy, busy, busy, our boys have been busy this month!  May kicked off with swim lessons.  A first for Wyatt and the third go round for Cam.  This time, it wasn’t mommy and me format, so it threw us all for a bit of a loop.  Wyatt was not happy to be working with anyone other than Mommy.  During all but one of his lessons, he cried and asked for Mommy or said no, all the while beautifully completing every exercise and task the instructor asked him to.  This made me sad, but I knew he was learning to become water safe and that was important.  After lessons when we would swim at Grandma and Grandpa’s house he did and still does very well.  So, the lessons were tough but good.  Cam on the other hand was so brave and quickly learned to love his teacher.  He really enjoyed each of his lessons and is becoming a champ at floating on his back!  Cam was also very brave this month when he made his first visit to the dentist.  Although unsure of what exactly was going on he silently sat in the dentist chair and allowed her to x-ray, clean, and examine his teeth.  The prize box at the end was a well deserved surprise.  So far no cavities!

There were many more birthday celebrations this month.  Cousin Brooke Rowen celebrated her first in Irvine with a luau themed park party.  Wyatt, Mommy and the rest of the Anderson enjoyed visiting with family, and Wyatt discovered a new love of sunglasses!  The same day, friend Kieran Beckham also celebrated his first birthday with a rooftop pool party in L.A. complete with a crepe cart.  Daddy and Cam enjoyed the pool, their friends, and all the yummy crepes they could eat!  Little Brynne Carmody also celebrated her birthday just a day after Mommy’s.  So we were able to get in some much needed Carmody time.  Moving away from Huntington Beach has made it difficult to visit with these friends as often as we’d like, so birthdays are a welcome excuse to get together!

Of course we also celebrated Mother’s Day this month.  We were able to spend lots of time playing with each side of the family and to really appreciate all the moms in our lives.  Cam and Wyatt had a blast playing baseball with Daddy, Nana, Uncle Steve, and Uncle Matt in Nana’s backyard.  Everyone was really making an effort to hit homeruns.  Cam was by far the most talented!  He even hit a few clear across the yard over the wall into the neighbor’s yard!

As the month rolled on Wyatt began to speak more and more.  His vocabulary is growing at a rapid pace!  It’s so exciting to be able to communicate more and more with him.  Kayla and Mimmie have joined us at Stroller Strides this month and Wyatt, Cam and Kayla loved the extra cousin time.  They exchange snacks and made each other giggle throughout the workout.  It’s nice to be able to share these fun moments with our family who are also our friends!

Lately Cam has developed an interest in driving any and every car he comes across.  It’s no surprise that Wyatt is right behind him trying to keep up.  It’s become monkey see, monkey do with our two boys and it’s almost comical to see them in action.  If Cam only realized how much his little brother wants to be like him and do like him.  The car obsession isn’t a big surprise either, since we’ve been researching new SUVs and finally bought one this month.  Yay!  Our stroller fits in our car and we have plenty of room to make a mess!

April Celebrations! April 2009 –This month was filled with celebrations!  Not just Easter, but also Pops’ and Kayla’s birthdays, a baby shower for Auntie Alicia, and a special visit from Meka!  The boys had so much fun spending time with all their relatives, and of course, eating lots of treats.

Pop’s birthday at the beginning of the month was the first in a few years that he was able to fully enjoy.  It made the day so special to have him participate in every aspect.  He was able to eat and play with his grandchildren without difficulty.  What a difference another year makes in all our lives, not just the lives of our ever changing children!

Kayla’s first birthday at IrvineRegionalPark was a blast.  The boys toured the petting zoo, rode on the train, and showed off their baseball skills!  Kayla was cute as can be in her birthday princess tutu and of course devouring her first cupcake!  I can hardly believe a year has gone by since we first met our little niece in the hospital.

Speaking of nieces and nephews, Miss Alicia is getting ever closer to her due date, and this month we celebrated with a baby shower at our house.  Everyone can’t wait to meet little Aidan and we all enjoyed a “Blue Brunch” in his honor.

Each year Easter gains momentum with our children as they begin to understand and enjoy the traditions of our family more, and of course each year we seem to gain more children.  The big egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa’s house also get’s better (translation more difficult) with each year and all the big kids (translation mommies, daddies, aunts and uncles) find new ways to outsmart each other and the Easter bunny!  This year was no exception.  Eggs were hid and re-hid, secret spots were uncovered, and Kayla took after her Mom and Dad by collecting the most eggsJ  Meka was out to celebrate the holiday with us all and all her great-grandchildren made her proud with their best tricks.  Wyatt in particular showed off his three pats to the head to say I love you skills.  On a side note, this was the first holiday on record that Camden did not cry while sitting on the lap of a bunny or Santa.  He was so brave, and so was Wyatt.  We finally have a picture without tears!

M-ARG-CH! March 2009 – Ahoy maties.  Arg, the Texas Clewetts are raiding Yorba Linda!  A fun filled visit from our cousins from Texas kicked off the month.  The festivities included a Pirate dinner show, which Beau and Cam absolutely loved and replayed many times after the performance was over.  We also go to show Shayne, Sammie, and Stevie Disneyland, our pool and some of our favorite movies.  The boys loved all of the attention from their very caring and patient older girl cousins.  Cam loved rough-housing with Beau, who was able to show Cam some new tricks.

Later in the month we visited Tanaka Farms with our friends from Huntington Beach and had a super fun tour of the grounds in a tractor drawn wagon.  There were several stops along the way, during which we were allowed to sample the produce.  Tasting all the different fruits and veggies was an adventure.  Some were hits, lettuce and carrots, and some were misses, spinach and cilantro.  Wyatt loved the radishes in particular which was a big surprise.  The highlight was picking our own strawberries, of course.  We were allowed to sample as much as we wanted as we filled our baskets, but had only 15 minutes to pick.  Cam was an expert at picking out the perfectly ripe berries.  Wyatt was an expert at devouring as many as he could, regardless of ripeness, during the short 15 minute period! There was one casualty on the day…Cam’s Cal cap made an unfortunate fall into the porta potty, and had to be abandoned.  He was so sad…so was Daddy when he found out later that night!

We also started taking classes at our local My Gym this month.  Cam loved going back to a favorite place from before he was a big brother, but the most excited/exciting participant is Kayla!  She and Wyatt are in the same class and she just loves everything about it.  From the opening song, to free play time when she can chase he older cousin around the place.  Wyatt enjoys the class too, and has learned to run faster than ever thanks to his doting little cousin.  He’s in big trouble once she gets her legs under her better and can run like him!   Since joining Wyatt has also learned a few more words.  “No, Mine!, Camden, Kayla, and Mimmie” are now all staples of his vocabulary.  He’s also started saying “hi!” as in “Hi, hi, how do you do?  Welcome to My Gym!”  (the opening song of each class) to everyone he sees out in public!

Our yard is finally going in this month and the boys love watching the workers as they transform the hard dirt that has been our landscaping into a fully designed yard.  Everyday they pretend to be the workers jack hammering, laying concrete, putting up walls, and talking in Spanish!  Cam uses a special “man voice” which is a low mumble that mostly contains gibberish, aka Spanish!  He’s always the boss, and Wyatt is just happy to be included.  Its fun seeing them start to play together, and the pretend action makes me laugh, and feel proud.

Wyatt has further established himself as a blanket man these days.  Not only does he stop on a dime to cuddle with any blanket he sees, but he insists on holding each and every blanket in his close proximity.  No one else can have one even if there are already four on his lap.  He is our Blankie Baron, and he’s not ashamed!

Other highlights this month included planting an herb garden for the new yard with Pops and Willy, and fun Friday nights at the church fish fry.

Our Little Sheriff Is Turning One and Other February Fun! February 2009 - Action packed doesn't begin to describe this month for the Clewett boys.   Our days have been filled with new and exciting adventures and some pretty important milestones too!

Early in the month we celebrated the fourth annual Clewett Superbowl Extravaganza.   This was the first viewing in our new home, and possibly the first time the grown-ups were outnumbered by the kiddos.   A few adjustments to the layout were made in order to accommodate our guests.   First, without a yard (unless you count dirt as a yard) we needed somewhere outdoors for everyone to eat, play, socialize...so we laid out a carpet of artificial turf and called it grass.   All kid toys were moved upstairs and a couch was added to the playroom so the lucky parents/lifeguards who supervised the chaos at the very least had a soft perch to view from. For the first time a male contestant won the highly competitive dip/appetizer off.   Congratulations Uncle BHall who took the crown with his delicious Jalapeño Poppers!   Multiple requests for a television upgrade for next year's event were noted (we haven't purchased a new T.V. since before we were married) and hopefully next year we'll be able to comply.   Cam had a blast running wild with Jackers, Brookie, Walter, and all his other pals.   He especially enjoyed the company of the older girls who came to the party.   The girls helped entertain / babysit many of the younger attendees, and for days after Cam wanted to have "that giant girl" come over the play with him again!   The only casualty of the day was poor Wyatt, who despite having a blast playing basketball on his mini-hoop and showing us all his extremely intense and super-cute "slam dunk face," came down with the hives the next morning.   Poor baby!   I suppose one good thing did come out of it all in the end...Grandma and Grandpa saw how much Wy-man liked his hoop that they went and got a larger version to play with.   The hoop is by far our most in demand toy.   Wyatt is so happy with himself when he scores a basket that he looks to us all to cheer each time.   Cam likes to assign roles to everyone in the room (coach, cheerleader, trainer, Cal Bears, Bruins, etc) and direct basketball games.   He's like the Steven Spielberg of our living room.   He's also great at stealing the ball and his shuffle defense technique should be envied by the pros! Another role playing game Cam likes to play is "work."   Using his Batman laptop computer (thank you Aunt Pam) and his play cell phone, he sets up shop and makes lots of important decisions.   I've been told not to interrupt!

Wyatt celebrated his very first birthday this month too!   I can hardly believe a year has come and gone.   He just started walking and talking, and soon he'll be telling me not to interrupt while he talks on his pretend phone too!   Before the big party in the park both boys had to look their best so we took them down to the kiddie barber shop and they got their hair cut side by side.   It was so cute to watch their little faces struggle between the need to look and see what was happening to themselves and each other, and the directions laid out by their parents and stylists to try to stay still.   Cam sat by himself in a yellow racecar and Wyatt was seated on Daddy's safe lap.   Both did a great job and got balloons as a reward.   We also had a special grandparents celebratory dinner prior to the party in the park.   At the dinner Wyatt had his first b-day cake and he took it down like a champ.   The kid loves sweets and who can blame him.   He got a few presents that night, and so did Cam .   Nana didn't want him to feel left out so she bought a special pair of froggy rain boots.   Well, Cam loved the boots and so did Wyatt.   Both boys wanted to wear them for the rest of the night.   So, of course, in true grandparent fashion, Nana gave Wyatt a pair the next week at his official birthday party.   The park celebration was a lot of fun, but boy was it hot.   Especially for February.   It didn't help that we were asked to leave our first location (sorry Mommy didn't reserve the covered patio...didn't think they'd all be used in the winter) and move out into the open grass.   Luckily everyone pitched in and we found a great shady spot.   The kids had a blast chasing each other around the playground and playing a crazy game of football.   Tackling was involved and no one held back!   Wyatt (whom we affectionately refer to as our little sheriff...sometimes as "The Sheriff of Stinkytown"), once again devoured his cowboy style b-day cake.   He also enjoyed lots of gifts and fun with his friends.   By the end of the day when we left, both boys were passed out in the back seat and neither woke until the next morning!

The month was capped off by a train ride down to San Juan Capistrano to go to Zoomars petting zoo with our Stroller Strides friends.   Both boys enjoyed the ride down.   Highlights included passing Angel's Stadium and sharing snacks with all our friends!   Once at the zoo we had fun sharing carrots with the bunnies and guinea pigs and Cam and Wyatt even got to ride a real pony!

March has a lot to live up to!

Livin', Lovin' and Strollin' into the New Year! January 2009 - 2009 is going to be a busy year, I can already tell by the amount of energy and enthusiasm our two little guys exude each day.   Mornings are filled with pajama playtime and boisterous breakfasts where Wyatt shouts, screams and pleads for utensils.   The poor guy is gaining ground in the food to spoon process, but still needs some work on spoon to mouth.   Mealtimes are taking a bit longer, but there is definitely more entertainment to go along with the extended schedule.   The boys now laugh and jabber together while asking Mommy as many questions as they can and testing the spitting, food throwing, sippy cup dropping limits of Mommy's morning patience.   They say "you're gonna miss this someday," and I know I will.   What a fun and special time to be learning and playing all together nearly every second of the day.   Wyatt has taken a fondness for copying everything his big brother does (hence the insistence for utensils).   One area in particular that Wyatt has learned by watching Cam is that of dancing and singing...particularly Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer!"   Cam is pretty darn cute with his loud rendition of the main chorus, but Wyatt is awesome with both fists raised in the air shouting "ohhh ohhh!" any time music is played.   That said, Wyatt is still our little mellow, loveable man.   He rivals Linus from the Peanuts cartoons in his love of blankies.   In fact, he can't pass a blanket laid out on a chair or the floor without stopping to cuddle, if only for a few moments.   It's so funny to watch him run across the room for a toy and stop halfway to fall on the ground on top of a blanket, snuggle for a moment, then pop up and continue across the room to his original destination.   We sometimes throw blankets out just to see if he'll stop.  I had my grand opening class as a Stroller Strides instructor in Fullerton this month and was so happy that my mommy friends were able to make it out to support me as I took on the roll of teacher rather than client.   I think the boys are enjoying all the park playtime and I'm really excited to see what I can bring to these workouts and, of course, how I can help the moms in our classes!

Jingle Bells! December 2008 - Christmastime was filled with much anticipation and fun this year as Camden is finally old enough to understand what all the fuss is about. Leading up to Christmas he truly enjoyed all the light, especially the boat parade lights on Grandma's birthday.   He loved to hear about Santa and his reindeer and told us he would be a good boy because Santa was watching. No, we did not subject him to Santa's lap at the mall for a third screaming picture, but he did leave cookies and milk for the big guy on Christmas Eve.   He was so excited that night that he even thought he heard reindeer hooves on our roof as he went to bed!

Living in Yorba Linda made the holiday easier on us as a family as we did not have to travel more than five minutes to see all our relatives, and even hosted Christmas Eve dinner in our new home.   The boys wore matching Santa outfits, and matching Christmas jammies and couldn't have been cuter.   Of course as the boys get older, the toys get more complicated.   It took at least four adults to put together the train table from Nana and Pops and poor Grandpa realized that his toy assembling days are not over as he spent a good chunk of Christmas Eve constructing a GIANT   backhoe loader truck, that is now the envy of every boy in our neighborhood.

Earlier in the month we celebrated Wyatt's baptism at St. Martin 's Church with new godparents Mike Murphy and Heather Wilkins.   Our little hubs was decked out in white and made it through the entire day without a nap and without much fuss.   As long as someone was feeding him, he was happy!   It's hard to believe that he is almost a one-year-old already.   He's almost walking and watches his big brother like a hawk (for safety purposes and to learn new things).   Where did the time go?

Talkin' Turkey! November 2008 - November 2008 brought many reasons for our family to give thanks and appreciate all the blessings that we have.   The most newsworthy event in Yorba Linda in quite some time, The Freeway Complex Fire, torched the hills of Yorba Linda and came too close to our new home (200 yards or so) and the homes of many of our friends and family.   Luckily, after we packed all our memories, valuables and the two boys into the car and endured a 24 hour evacuation/sleepover at Cousin Kayla's house, we were allowed to return to our homes and found that we all had been spared any damage.   We were truly grateful.   Wyatt and Cam were unaffected by the brief drama, and continued to grow and learn throughout the month.   For example, Wyatt grew some TEETH.   Two nice, big top, front teeth; that have allowed him to more aggressively pursue table foods, which he thoroughly enjoys.   He is also loving his music classes.   He can't decide if his favorite instrument is the drum or the shaker, but his passion for music and making noise is becoming very apparent.   Cam has started classes as well, Practice Pre-School.   The experience has done well to extend his passion for learning all about the world around him.   Mommy and Cam would attend class and then Cam would teach the days lesson to Daddy at night, and very well we might add.   The boys are becoming ever closer.   Wyatt has found a new freedom with his ever increasing mobility.   He is crawling everywhere, which is allowing him to more readily interact with Camden and vise versa.   There newly discovered interactions have lead to many adventures through the downstairs and a renewed appreciation of each other (they aren't fighting over toys yet, so we will put that in writing while we can).   Of course, November brought Thanksgiving!   For Wyatt, and his new found love of table foods, the timing could not have been better.   Cam enjoyed the company of all of his family and organized football games and dog piles any time he could round up the participants.   As we sat around the table, we thought of all the blessings that we have and how the boys are growing up so fast.

Lions and Monkeys and The Bears...Oh My! October 2008 - This month was ushered in and out faster than you can say "Trick or Treat!"   Cam and Wyatt started October up in Ojai California tearing up our hotel room, restaurants, and, of course, the dance floor at Alex and Karen Oliver's wedding.   What a beautiful event, and so much fun for us all.   Our "boutique" motel with its huge grass lawn was the perfect place to play catch and run our wiggles out between the weekend's festivities.   Cam had a ball and Wyatt was his usual easy going and charming self.

Next up was the Pumpkin Patch!   We braved the crazy October heat out in Irvine to pick the perfect gourd, explore the corn maze and see the farmers shoot pumpkins out of a canon!   Once home we decided that it didn't matter if Halloween was a ways off, we were going to carve our jack o' lantern right away.   Cam was a big help, though he still doesn't like the idea of sticking his hand in all the goop inside a pumpkin in order to remove the seeds.   He mostly wanted to use his special carving knife to make the face.   Wyatt on the other hand had no problem touching or trying to consume any portion of the pumpkin.   I see pie eating contests in our future.

Leading up to Halloween the boys put their adorable costumes to good use attending playgroup parties in the park and the annual Halloween Celebration at Uncle Andy and Auntie Joan's house.   This year Walter and Cam had matching costumes!

When the big day finally arrived our little animals were definitely pumped! Well, mostly Cam was pumped. Wyatt was ready and willing to have fun without understanding exactly what was happening.   Cam was a monkey and Wyatt was a lion...and Daddy was the zookeeper in charge.   Though he liked to point out that he was really only the assistant zookeeper and that Mommy was in charge as always.   We went around our new neighborhood with all our new neighborhood friends, and then headed to Nana and Pop's house to do some more candy collecting and then pass out some goodies.   Cam loved to see all the new faces and hand out treats more than anything else!

This month Wyatt also started to move about on his own!   He now crawls all over the house using one knee and one foot in what we like to call "the tripod" crawling form.   Mostly he likes to chase his brother or a ball that has been rolled out in front of him.   We can hardly believe our baby is on the move.

Of course no month in the fall is complete without college football.   Pac Ten football was alive and well in our home as we hosted a viewing party for Cal vs. Arizona .   The opportunity to celebrate not only Cal football, but the family rivalry couldn't be passed up.   Cam and his friend Jack Carmody were introduced to the Phi Tau "Tau Pile" this season.   Basically a bunch of fraternity men reliving their glorious college days by dog piling each other whenever their team scored...or sometimes even when a good play was made.    Cam and Jack were, of course, the top of the pile each time, and all the moms in attendance quickly dashed across the room to pick up the smaller children and move them out of the way whenever the cheering grew louder and everyone began running to an open space on the floor.

One Last Hurrah! September 2008 - Closing out the summer was a busy task for the Clewett boys.   From the beach, to potty training, to Auntie E's wedding, the fun was non-stop.

Since we moved away from Huntington Beach , Cam has not had an opportunity to introduce his little brother to the excitement of the California coastline complete with crashing waves, tasty sand, and the hot sun with friends.   So, before the summer slipped away we decided to join our old playgroup down in HB.   The day was fun-filled to say the least.   Cam took a liking to playing chicken with the waves, digging moats for a collaborative sand castle, and sharing his lunch with friends.   Wyatt reveled in the sound of the ocean, the feel of the sand in his little hands, and the plentitude of birds all waiting to snag our snacks should we take our eyes off them for even a moment.   Highlight of the day was a trip to the beach porta potty where Cam successfully used the stinky facilities to Mommy's disgust and amazement (it was a team effort!).   Needless to say, little Cam has successfully been potty trained and loves his new undies with all his favorite characters.

Later in the month, Cam donned his tuxedo once again to perform as ring bearer at Auntie E and Uncle MyMy's wedding in San Clemente .   Now an old pro, Cam had no problem getting to the end of the aisle, and was even courteous enough to hold hands with the flower girl, Madison.   Cam and Madison hit it off from the start and danced the night away at the reception.   Seriously, a more enthusiastic dancer could not be found...at least, not until the DJ played "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi, then the most enthusiastic dancer was far and away Brandon .   It was a wonderful weekend of family and friends, and both boys enjoyed sharing special time with all their loved ones.

The Big Move! August 2008 - August was a busy month for the Clewett Clan.   Upon returning from a wonderful family vacation in Hawaii we moved right into our new home!   Amongst the boxes of dishes and clothes, was a world of old toys made new again.   With a whole room dedicated to play in this new house, Cam and Wyatt have settled in nicely.   Cam has even found a new love, literally the "girl next door."   Daniella may be a few years older, but that doesn't stop our little Casanova.   He asks to play with her daily and always ends a visit with a big hug and an attempt at a kiss.   If only he were tall enough!

Wyatt loves time outdoors and continues to babble, roll, and sit up better and better with each passing day.   He has even moved up to solid foods.   He dines on lots of rice cereal and baby fruits and veggies.   So far sweet potatoes and bananas are his favorites and peas are barely tolerated.   Mommy has joined a new playgroup called Stroller Strides.   We meet a couple of times a week to walk/work out in the park and the kids play on the playground while the moms recover.   Both boys enjoy all the other children in the group, though Wyatt does not enjoy trying to nap in the stroller while Mommy works out.

Cars, Planes and Other Fun Things! July 2008- July was a month of new experiences for all!   Mommy and Daddy learned about vacation travel with both a toddler and an infant, and the toddler and the infant learned about cars, planes, Luaus, dolphins, beaches, turtles, parades, pools, hotels, amusement parks, killer whales, seafood, movies and other fun things.

The month got off to a fast start as Ali and the boys met up with Nana and Pops at Seaworld in San Diego .    The boys enjoyed a day of shows and spectacle. Camden learned to chant "Shamu!, Shamu!, Shamu!", as was impressed the whale's ability to splash!   Cam is still swimming like a fish, so this experience was exciting for him.   He now insists he swims like a dolphin and that Daddy is a whale.

After Seaworld, daddy met up with the family and Nana and Pops in Coronado , where we were able to take in the Coronado 4 th of July parade.   The boys liked the horses the best, followed by the large bands playing loud music.   That afternoon, mommy left the boys to attend Auntie E's bachelorette party, the boys met up with Grandpa in San Diego and hit the pool and find a place to eat seafood and watch fireworks. Wyatt was not all that interested in either and Cam was still a little unsure of the fireworks, so we left early to go home and watch a movie.   The next day, we played some more with Nana and Pops before joining Grandpa for a seafood lunch.   Although Cam ordered a pizza, he proceeded to devour daddy's clams and muscles.   There isn't much he won't try, and he seems to like seafood, like his dad.

After the Coronado trip, we were able to return for a short time in order to close escrow on our new house (Woohoo), only to then leave to go on a family vacation to Hawaii .    Although the security lines were a little trying, Cam and Wyatt did great on the plane, sleeping, playing, eating and playing.   Although we hit some bumps (literally, which Cam and most other people did not appreciate), both boys really liked the plane and Camden's only regret was that he was not able to drive it, which he wanted badly.   The 10 days on the Big Island seemed to fly by.   We were in a three bedroom condo with Ryan, Tym and Kayla, so every night was a big sleepover, which all the kids thoroughly enjoyed.   Cam was in the water everyday, whether it was exploring the rocks, going into a waterfall, digging in the sand, going down waterslides, discovering dolphins/crabs/fish/turtles, jumping in the pool or just relaxing in the spa, he had a busy trip.   Out of the water activities included collecting lava rocks, building forts, going on walks and going to his first Luau.   Camden eagerly took in the drums, dancers and fire eaters and wanted more of everything! He was surrounded by lots of family, all of whom were willing to cater to his any desire.   Needless to say, he was in his own little slice of heaven and appreciated his time with his extended family.

While Cam was busy having fun, playing hard everyday, Wyatt was working hard everyday and made some very big developmental steps.   By the end of the trip, Wyatt was rolling over, sitting up on his own, chuckling, and giving raspberries/zerberts for anyone that would watch, listen or participate.   He had a good trip and was a perfect gentleman to anyone he was passed too, and he was held by all.   Hawaii looked very good on Wyatt, especially when he was sporting his hat and sunglasses.

Upon our return from vacation, we left for Reno to mourn the loss of Uncle Jeff and spend time with the Clewett family.   Again, the boys did great on the flight, big difference from 5 hours to 1 hour, and they both actually slept most of the way.   After arriving in Reno , it did not take Cam very long to notice that Mika (great grandma) had a fort/swing set and that his cousins in Reno where about his size.   Cam made friends, played on the trampoline, waterslide and almost beat dad at tether ball (if only Cam would have ducked instead of taking the ball on his coconut).   The boys were well behaved throughout the service and at one point Cam reassured daddy that "Its okay daddy, no sad", which was just what daddy needed.   We learned that Camden may have inherited some of Uncle Jeff's charm, as he spent much of the night hanging out with older girls, asking them to play and even was gentlemen enough to bring one of them a water.   He was very interested in the girls, even telling his mommy that "Where are the girls?   I need them".

All of the Clewett family was introduced to Wyatt and was happy to hold and talk to him.   Wyatt was just as happy and was fired up to meet everyone.   He was engaged everyone in animated conversation and tried to show off his vocal and physical skills.   Upon return, the boys and mommy and daddy are looking to settle down and move into the new house, finally!

Wedding, Swimming and Turning Two! June 2008- The month of June was full of special occasions and plenty of opportunities for the boys to display their new found talents and play with friends and family.  Both boys are becoming quite the linguists.   Cam is talking in multi-word sentences, complete with please and thank you while Wyatt has been eager to join in the conversation, everyone's conversation.  While Cam has immersed himself in the ABCs, shapes, colors, gardening, debate and counting, Wyatt has gotten to be quite involved with his own voice but has yet to figure out how to control the pitch (which is high, where dogs can here) and volume (which is usually louder than appropriate), but he is still enthusiastic to join in the party and voice his opinion.   Both boys seem to like to learn hard (even though they think it is play hard-play hard) and play hard, which is a pretty good life balance for them right now.

In addition to finding his voice, Wyatt is also working to develop his mobility.  He does well sitting up or partially standing, but has made a committed effort to rolling over. Wy-Guy isn't quite there yet, but he devotes many hours a day to attempting to roll.  I personally believe that his little mohawk and tons of drool may be hampering his aerodynamics, but he would argue that he is always trying to go uphill.  Wyatt continues to amaze us with all the little things he does and doesn't do.  His mellow demeanor, generous amounts of smiles and laughs, and pure determination (to roll, eat, chomp or not sleep) continue to be telling signs of his personality.  This month he has discovered and become fascinated with Camden , which Cam has reciprocated and they have started to try and play together.

Camden is taking swimming lessons and doing quite well.  He has mastered negotiating the edge of the pool, pulling himself out, and going under water.   Cam likes to jump in (even when you aren't looking, a little too confident maybe) and is working on kicking and floating.  He enjoys the water and often suggests going swimming to mommy and daddy, even when there is no pool within miles.  This new found skill of Cam 's came in handy when Mommy and Daddy had a little gathering to celebrate the 30th Birthdays.  The party, complete with a Professional Taco Man, involved lots of swimming and playing.  Many of Camden 's friends were able to make the trip and he had lots of fun swimming/diving in the pool or sharing his toys.

The much anticipated Anderson-Van Eck wedding took place on June 21st in Redondo Beach, and marked the second time that Camden was given the huge responsibility of looking adorable and delivering the wedding rings to their destination.  Dressed in his own tuxedo, yep we bought it, snazzy shoes, and beaming with confidence (bribed with jelly beans), he strolled down the aisle with pillow and rings in hand.  Not even the 120 degree heat or mob of photo takers were unable to detour him from successfully complete his mission, nor did they slow him down on his pursuit of a perfect day.  From the ceremony, he took the party bus to pictures, then to the reception, where he danced, ate steak and even was able to use his charm to secure the 3rd bite of wedding cake (he basically rushed the cake table during the cutting ceremony, and was rewarded handsomely). Wyatt did not get any cake, but was a model attendant and a good little man throughout the ceremony and reception.  He was amazed by the DJ's lights, the sound of the music and by all the people that came up to hold him and give him kisses.

It truly was a big month for Camden , as two days after the wedding; he was able to rally enough energy to enjoy his own Birthday Party!  Camden turned 2 years old and had a blast getting acquainted with Chuck E. Cheese.  In a good size party attended by all grandparents and aunts and uncles, Cam sprinted from game to game, sampling all but not necessarily paying for any (nice for mom and dad).  He did well at the skeeball game, although he preferred to run up the ramp and toss the ball overhand, like a pitcher not a bowler, but we were fine with that.  Immediately after opening his last gift, Cam requested to leave Chuck E. Cheese so that he could go home and play with his new toys and books.

Bats, Balls and Bottles, (kinda)! May 2008- Well, baseball season is in full swing at the Clewett house and there is one little slugger that just can't get enough.  Camden is a full fledged Angels Baseball fanatic (which is fine by us) and can name/identify most of the players on the team, likes (not loves, due to the somewhat scary firework displays) going to Angel's games, loves watching them before his bath, but more than anything loves to play the game.  At least once a day he pretends he is an Angels player and hits or pitches to mommy, daddy or anyone who will play.  He has transformed his favorite Angels cheers into everyday life, for example: "Lets go Fruit Loops, do, do, do-do-do".  He loves to root for "Camden" (has already picked up the professional athletes code to refer to himself in the third person) to hit the ball, run crazily in circles, and slide "SAFE" into first base.

Cam is making big strides off the field as well.  He has started to sing the ABCs and is really loving the Dr Seuss books that mommy and daddy read to him before going to bed (ABCs, Go Dog Go!, etc.) He is getting closer and closer to his little brother and routinely tries to hold, hug, wrestle, kiss, slobber, and play with Wyatt.

Wyatt, with the help and example of his older brother, is doing great.  He truly is a happy baby that is getting strong and bigger each day.  At his 3 month appointment, Wyatt was in the 97th percentile for height and 90th percentile for weight.  He is a big boy and has really started to make a push to roll over!  He has definitely found his voice, often letting us know that he is hungry or NOT tired.  Wyatt is definitely not a fan of missing out on the action, but does a good job of giving mommy and daddy a little rest from time to time.  Wyatt loves to talk to his animals, books, feet and anyone that will listen.  He has lots to say.  As well as words coming out of his mouth, plenty is going in!  Wy-guy has been chomping away at his fingers and anything else that he can convince to go into his mouth.  We think that there may be some teeth on the way soon!  The only thing he has been reluctant to put in his mouth, ironically, has been the bottle.  Him and daddy had a team meeting the other day and believe that they are on the same page now.

Also during May, the boys were able to celebrate Mother's Day with Mommy, Nana and Grandma.  For cute gifts, the boys had their first joint photo shoot.  Although, there may be little proof of his occurring (getting a good picture of both was a trying and basically insurmountable task), they both gave 110% and looked very handsome for the camera.

The boys are looking forward to a big June, including Aunt Toni's wedding (Cam in the ring bearer), Aunt Toni's B-Day,  Father's Day, Mommy and Daddy's B-Days, Cam's Swim Lessons, more baseball games and Cam's 2nd Birthday!!!

Everyone's Smiling! April 2008- Wyatt is growing bigger and bigger and has started smiling, laughing and cooing at everyone.  He is fond of anyone who gives him attention, including light bulbs and ceiling fans. Wyatt will talk and smile at anything and continues to have a very easy going demeanor.  He is starting to develop his personality and gets very serious when he focuses on new objects or sounds.  But no matter how serious he may seem, he is still very cuddily and fun loving, always wanting to be in the middle of the action.

Camden is continuing to amaze us with his development.  He is starting to get more and more independent in his play, often using his imagination to go on pirate adventures, play sports or do handyman tasks around the house.  We may be a tad bit biased, but he seems to be getting too smart for a little boy.  Cam has a well developed vocabulary (be careful, he is a good repeater!), counts to 10 and is working on his ABCs.  His favorite book is Go Dog Go and he has started playing baseball, golf, basketball and soccer very regularly.  He loves to cheer on the Angels "Go Angels", "Let's go Vladdy!", "Hit the Ball!".  Cam was taken to his first Angel game of the season on April 19th with his good buddies Jack & John Carmody, Grandpa, and Daddy.  The Angels won 4-1 over Seattle which, along with the chocolate malt and licorice, made Cam very happy.  He couldn't stop smiling the entire game.

Speaking of constant smiling, Cam, Wyatt, Mommy and Daddy were very excited to welcome another member to our extended family.  On April 18th, exactly two months after Wyatt, Kayla Rene Clewett (8lbs 1oz, 20.5 inches, 6 inches of hair, healthy and beautiful baby girl) was born at 6:42 am in St Josephs Medical Center.   Wyatt and Cam were anxious and able to visit their cousin later that night and welcome her into the family.  Camden said "Kayla, pretty" and both boys have already taken a liking to their younger cousin (as shown by pictures of the "lay down and chat" that occurred on her 3rd day).  Wyatt and Cam have officially formalized a pact with Kayla to protect their younger girl cousin from mean boys in return for introductions to all of her cute friends.  Everybody wins.  The Clewett family continues to grow and we have been extremely blessed with healthy, happy and beautiful children.  Everyone was all smiles and can't wait until the kids can start playing together.

Marching to Yorba Linda! March 2008-  Wyatt is one month old and continues to amaze us.  He is very attentive, mild, and strong.   His continues to be a good eater and has put on a good amount of weight (most of it in his cheeks!)  Wyatt and his older brother are getting along great.  Camden continues to try and pick Wyatt up or tell him "Wyatt, its okay" when Wyatt is upset.  We have had a steady stream of family and friends, to see Wyatt and play with Cam, so both boys have been thoroughly entertained and happy all month.  With a newborn in tow and our Huntington Beach house in escrow as of February 25th, March was dominated by friends, family and moving related events.

During the week, we allowed Wyatt to get settled, entertained guests and made all of the arrangements in anticipation of our big move.   Wyatt got the quick tour of Huntington Beach as we did our best to show him all the sights and sounds that we could in a short month.  We knew how much Camden, Mommy and Daddy would miss Main Street, the Beach, the Park, Papa's house, Glenn and Gina's house and all our friends.  We did our best to take the boys to all of their favorite places and see their favorite people.

On the weekends, the family would travel up to Yorba Linda to go house hunting.  Camden especially liked the trip as he would get to spend the day with Nana and Pops or Grandma and Grandpa playing and having fun.  Wyatt, also enjoyed the weekend journies and loved going on the house hunting excursion with mom and dad, as he was vital in the home selection process.

All of our hard work paid off at the end of the month.  We put a downpayment down on a brand new home in Yorba Linda on March 22nd, which was a little crazy because we didn't close on our Huntington home until March 26th.  But, we thought the house was perfect for our growing family, close to good schools, near all of the aunts, uncles, and grandparents, and big enough to accomodate two (so far) very active children.  We offically moved to Yorba Linda on March 28th.  Camden was amazed with the movers and more amazed by the size of the moving truck!  Cam is in a BIG truck phase, and the HUGE moving trucks made his whole month (well, the moving trucks and also the fact that he gets to follow the trash trucks around the neighborhood on trash day!  Trash man knows we are his biggest fans!).  Both boys and mommy and daddy survived the move with flying colors and are very excited to begin another adventure of our lives in Yorba Linda!

The only wrinkle is our new home won't be finished until July 31st, so we put most of our stuff in storage and packed efficiently to move in with Grandma and Grandpa Clewett for a couple of months.  Both boys are in heaven (I think Grandma and Grandpa are happy too) as everyday is a big event!

In the last few days of March, they played very hard with Grandpa, Grandma, Nana, Pops, E, MyMy, Lisha, Steve, RyRy, Mimmie, Toni, Matt and Mommy and Daddy.   Cam enjoys to dress up in his helment and goggles to "mow and trim the yard" while Wyatt likes to cudddle, squack and move his legs fast.  The hard play even included BIG St. Patty's Day and Easter Celebrations!!  Both boys really took to each traditions (as you can see from the pictures).  Cam was a high quality (not high quantity) egg finder, finding and opening each egg and eating contents before moving on.  Wyatt enjoyed St Patty's day by drinking many-o-bottle of good stuff and sporting he finest green outfit.

It was a very eventful month that both boys have handled extremely well, and mommy and daddy survived (barely)!

Welcome Wyatt! February 2008 - Wyatt Richard Clewett came into our world at 3:22 pm on February 18, 2008.   He weighed in at 8lbs. 11oz. and was 21" in length.   Throughout the pregnancy we've wondered who this little one would look like.   Cam doesn't favor one parent over the other, but this baby might.   According to all family members and friends who met him at his debut, Wyatt looks just like his older brother!   The labor was induced one day past our due date and was uneventful until the very end when Wyatt was ready to join the outside world, but our doctor wasn't at the hospital.   Nurses had readied the room and equipment, and were anxious for Dr. Lee to arrive because Wyatt's heart rate would drop drastically with each new contraction.   At one point they put on their gloves and told me not to cough anymore because they could see the baby's head!   Once Dr. Lee (whom Brandon now has an even greater fondness for since learning that she attended UC Berkeley...as did her sister who delivered Camden! ) was in the room delivery was a breeze, literally 2 and ½ pushes.  Needless to say, Brandon thinks that the Cal education of our doctors attributed to the ease of delivery (and high Apgar scores).

Wyatt disposition seems to reflect his easy delivery.   He is an amazing baby boy.   He is alert to the world around him, has a mild disposition and likes to show off how strong he is.   Wyatt has a fondness for eating extremely regularly (you can set a watch by his stomach) and trying not to sleep (he doesn't want to miss anything).   The whole extended family was there to greet Wyatt, including his new Big Brother Camden. Camden was very excited to see Wyatt and wanted to get in Mommy's lap to hold him right away.   Camden can say Wyatt's name very well and is including Wyatt in almost everything he does.   "Baby Wyatt sleeping".   "Baby Wyatt crying". "Baby Wyatt kisses".   Cam loves to try and play with Wyatt, but hasn't really got the hint yet that Wyatt likes to pretty much just eat and sleep (on occasion).    Someday they will be chasing each other around the house, but for now Cam has resigned to screaming Wyatt's name, tickling his toes, kissing his head, and trying to hold him.

In other news, the day we returned from the hospital with Wyatt, we received and accepted an offer on our Huntington Beach house; nothing like a 30 day escrow with a newborn.   It is both exciting and terrifying at the same time.   Wyatt and Camden seem un-phased by the process, but love the idea of being closer to both sets of grandparents, aunts and uncles.   We are pretty sure that Wyatt gave us a thumbs up when we finally made the decision.   We feel up for the challenge and have already started making plans to move all our family's things up to Yorba Linda, we just don't know exactly where yet.   We are looking forward to settling down and finding a house that will be the home for our growing family.
