We went to a pumpkin patch before Halloween to get good pictures and it was a dud, at least Avery got his first hayride. So to get better pics we went to Broadway at the Beach and they had a place set up that gave us some good photo opportunities. I hope you enjoy. We didn't take Avery trick-or-treating, but we dressed him up and took him to the neighbors. It was hot that day so we didn't keep him dressed up for long. We had a lot of trick or treaters, Presley barked at everyone, and there were about 100. He slept through most of it. He is such a good boy! We gave him his first ceral a few weeks ago and he did okay eating, but we had to stop for a little while, and we just started it up again. It is funny...He gets 1 teaspoon a day and that seems like alot. I can't believe that soon he'll be eating us poor if he eats like his dad. We had a rainbow the other day so ofcourse I had to get a picture of it with him. We dressed him up for church and took a ton of photos of him looking so big. Everyone keeps telling us how big his feet look in all the pictures. I am getting him started early so he knows which team to root for early. Steelers baby!!!! Well I have made it through 2 weeks at work, and it is not getting any easier leaving him everyday. Please pray that I do good enough at work so Jason can continue to stay at home with him and we won't have to put him in Daycare. With all the sickness going around that is the last place we want him. Well gotta go!!! Enjoy!!

Wow how time flies! So much has happened since the last time I updated this site. As you can see from the pictures we had Avery Baptized. It was a very special day and we had alot of family and close friends that celebrated with us. It was a beautiful. My Mom and Dad visited from Ohio, my sister, Suzy (Avery's Godmother) came from Florida, and my sister Beth and Cory came from Texas.Thank you for making the trip, we love you all. Avery was so good he didn't shed one tear. He looked so cute. Aunt Suzy made his outfit out of my wedding dress. She is so taleneted, it looked incredible. I also had friends from Ohio, Jodie, Owen, Shannon, Bud, Braden, Mom, and Dad who came to visit Avery. They rented a house on the beach. It was a ton of fun and it was Avery's first time to the beach. Thank you all for making that long trip. Avery is growing so fast. He is laughing, screaminng for fun, and babbling like crazy. He is getting his first tooth. You can see it under his gums, and causes him some discomfort, but we are working threw it. Poor Guy. I went back to work and I miss him like crazy!!

I know that I am updating the story a little late. The pictures are better than the stories though. I will start off with my water breaking on 7/27/09 @ 1:15 am. Jason and I had just gone to sleep at about 12:30 am and I woke up to use the restroom and before I could make it out of the bed I felt a pop, and I said to Jason, I think my water just broke. He was up in an instant and helping me to the restroom, saying "Are you sure". Well I was sure, so we got ready and went to the hospital. We were checked in pretty quick and we were in a room by 2:00. Cinthia arrived soon after. The Dr. came in and by 2:30 am I had an epidural. So the rest was a waiting game with Jason, Cinthia, Jason's mom & dad, Brandy, & Tonya. At about 9:15am the nurse checked me and said I was ready to start pushing. Tonya was on one side and Jason was on the other, and the three of us worked really hard for the next hour and a half. I had Avery at 10:50 am. The pictures are because of Tonya, she is awesome, we can't thank her enough for the memories she provided us. Needless to say the next days were a whirlwind. I was on a lot of medicine and in a lot of pain so it all a blur. We didn't sleep much with trying to learn everything about Avery and the nurses coming in to check on me every 15 minutes. We left the hospital on the 29th. When we left the hospital the Dr. had run blood work on Avery and his billirubin count was high(13), so we had to take home a billi blanket, and were told to go back to the hospital the next day for more blood work and then to see the Dr. His count had jumped up to 17.9, and we were shocked. So it was home for more blanket time, and we also got a billi bed for him. Every day for a week we went to the hospital and to the Dr. to get him checked. It was pretty sad to have him on the blanket 24/7 and then have him get his foot pricked every day for the blood test. Finally we were able to take him off the blanket when his counts came down to 11. We were so thankful. Since then Jason has gone back to work so it is just the three off us at home. Avery, Presley, & me. My sister Beth came to vistit and we had a great time. She wanted to take Avery home with her, but we put up a good fight, so she left empty handed. She taught us a lot in her short visit and helped me get some much needed sleep. Thank you Aunt Beth!! She also took some awesome pictures which I added to the site. I will try to update more often, but that all depends on Avery. I never thought I could love someone so much, and I am sure Jason thinks the same, we are so blessed and so happy!
Comments I am so happy that you are a mom. It was great being a mom and every one of you are so special to your father and me. The way that Dad found out that we were having you was : Dad was fixing the screen door and Monica came up and said," Did you tell Daddy about the new baby your getting." I thought I was losing you once when I started bleeding but you were fine. The day I had you Dad was at work and Mary had just gotten home from school and we were playing scrabble or pinochle and I had been washing clothes all day. Walking up and down the stairs so many times. I was having some contractions all day. All of a sudden I told Mary I was going to have you soon. I went upstairs and took a abath and called Aunt Katie. Uncle Irvin wasn't home so she had to call him. It seemed to be taking him pretty long to get here and I told Mary that I was just going to go upstairs and have you. She said no just wait they will be here and they came. I grabbed a towel and a cord clamp and we got in the front of a little truck and headed for the hospital. Uncle Irvin was a pretty fast driver. When we were pulling into the hospital I told them that it wouldn't be very long before you were born. I was in the hospital about ten minutes when they took me to the delivery room. I asked the nurse to let me get over to the delivery table before my next contraction and she said you are just going to have the baby right here. I said,"I want you to know that I have seven girls at home. Then I had you. I asked wahat is it? She said Its what you have seven of at home. You were so beautiful and I was really glad that you were a girl but Buddy wasn't. When Dad got ome Buddy was waiting at the door. Dad said,"Well Bud, we lost again." I don't think Buddy would trade you for anything now.We did so many things together. We visited the Amish alot. You thought Amish Country was another country. Once when we were visiting my Amish friends and you were 5 years old you came running in the house and you were all excited. I asked you what was wrong and you said ," I can't understand anything that the kids are saying." I said that you never could and you said oh yes I could but now I can't. I'm so proud of the woman that you have become and I love you so much. I just can't wait to see Avery. I slready love him so much. - Mom
I made some spelling errors and I don't know how to fix them. It was what is it and I already love him so much. - Mom

We had to put our CAPTAIN to sleep today, it was the hardest decision, but it was the right one for him. He had a incurable disease that was really getting the best of him and making life very difficult on him, please say a prayer for him! I addd some pictures so everyone can remember him.

7/22/09
My blood pressure was okay, so we are still set for July 30th unless he decides he wants a different birthday.

7/21/09
Well a lot has happened since my last update so I will sum it all up. We went to Charleston, MUSC, for the last time July 2nd, everything looked good, he was still small. They said that was fine and we didn't need to go back. Yeah! So we go to my Dr. here every week now and when we went on 7/14, I was 60-70% effaced, 1 centimeter dialted and he was at 0 station. She set an induction date for July 30th. So we went back 7/20 and I was 80% effaced, 1 1/2 centimeter dialated, and his head is super low. She did an ultrasound and his head is so low she couldn't get accurate measurments. She thinks he is about 6 pounds. On a sad note. Our first baby, Captain, is very sick. He has been for about 4 weeks. On Friday we had to admit him into a hospital in Charleston. He had a liver, lymph node, and skin biopsy on Monday, and we should find out something this Thursday. Please pray for him. We went to see him over the weekend and I added some pictures of our visit. Of course all of this has made me have high blood pressure, which is not good for Avery, so Wednesday I have to go back to the DR and get my blood pressure rechecked and if it is still high, they will induce me this Friday. So we are waiting to see what happens, I will update again soon.

5/30/09
Much has happened since our last update. First of all, we went to MUSC in Charleston two more times and are headed back on June 5th for our fourth visit. The last time we went we got better news on his stomach, they could see it functioning very well. We saw him drinking and his stomach filling. Avery's abdominal circumference is still measuring a bit small though. They are thinking that he is just going to be a small guy but still want to keep a close eye on him, which is great for us because we get to see him every two weeks in an ultrasound. Please keep praying for him, we want him to stay inside a bit longer so he can pack on some pounds. He is estimated at 2.1 pounds now. We will update again after our Dr.s apt on Friday. Also, in more news we had our baby shower and it was one of the best days/weekends ever. Starting on Friday my friends from Ohio Jodie and Wendy surprised me with their 3 year olds, Owen & Macey, who I adore with all my heart, at 7:00 AM. So it was off and running from there. We picked Beth, Kris, Kim, Tonya, & Angie up from the airport at about 1:00 PM and the house got a little fuller. We played at the pool at my house and had a relaxing evening eating pizza. On Saturday morning we all woke up and went my resort for a fun day of the beach and pools. Later on that evening, Monica, Megan, Nicole, Catherine & Chase drove in from Ohio. So yet again the house's occupancy grew. So with Jason and I we had 16 people staying here. Saturday evening we had a barbeque with 30 of our friends and family. Tons of food and fun. A big Thank you to Jason's parents!!! On Suday morning we played at the pool at my house with the kids while some of the adults decorated our clubhouse for the shower. By the time everyone got ready for the shower at 2:00 we were out of hot water and I was the last to shower. Yikes, at little chilly. Well I can't say enough about how everything was decorated and how much fun I had. I think everyone else did as well. We got so many presents it was unreal. Avery sure is a lucky baby! At the end of the shower Beth made me read some motherly advice from everyone, and I had some surprise notes that really made me cry. Actually I believe everyone in the room was crying. Again, just awesome. So after the shower we all came back to the house and hung out. The next morning I woke up at 4:00 AM to start my goodbyes. Very sad. It started with Jodie, Wendy and Kids, then Monica and troop. The girls and I shopped around in Myrtle that day and then everyone but Beth left at 7:00 PM. Beth, Jason, and I got to finally sit down and go through all the gifts. It was so much fun to see everything again. On Tuesday morning, I was up again at 4:00 AM to take Beth to the airport. I dropped her off and it was back to work. BOO HOO! That night when Jason and I got home we were so tired we couldn't even talk, but we missed everyone tremendously! It is all back to normal now and we have set everything up and put everthing away. We are ready for Avery whenever he decides it is time to meet the world, but again we want him to hold out at least a few more weeks. A huge Thank You to everyone for coming in to town for the shower, and to Jason's Mom and Dad, Cinthia, Beth, Tonya, and Brandy for all the hard work putting it all together!

Happy April Fool's Day! We went to the Dr. @ MUSC in Charleston Friday March 27th. They did an extremely detailed ultrasound of Avery. The looked over every part of him and around him. The good news is they only found 3 small fibroids inside of me, that should not effect either of us. I can get them removed after we are done having babies. Until then I am stuck with them. I guess it is good to know because it explained a lot of questions we had. More good news is that Avery's abdominal cavity is only border-line small. Which just means I need to eat more calorie filled food. So I have been really trying. The doctor says I am 10 pounds behind what he would like to see me at at this time in my pregnancy, so he suggested a milk shake a day. Not a bad diet to have to follow. We will go back to MUSC in 6 weeks for them to do another indepth ultrasound. In the mean time we will meet with our regular Dr. here on April 14th and she will check us and my weight again. So ofcourse I will update then. Thank you for all the prayers and keep them coming, please. I think in 6 weeks we will have a better idea if his abdomin has caught up. Love and Miss everyone a ton.
Comments love and kisses to the three of you. Your are in our thoughts and prayers dialy Mecca coens and coneys is open april 9th so You can have all the milk shakes for free Ha Ha that is if you were in ohio Love and Miss you bunch - MoM P & Fankie Pa

Happy St. Patty's Day. We got our 19 week scan today, and what a day. I think we were at the Dr.'s over 2 hours. Avery wouldn't cooperate. So he is a boy for sure, that is what you see in the ultrasound pictures. Everything looked good. We are going to MUSC, the hospital in Charleston, to check on a few things in about a week, I will have an update again after that. Please pray that everything shows up normal.

Just a little update. Last week we were suppossed to get an ultrasound to find out the sex of Baby A, and the lady's machine broke so we could not get it done. I guess we weren't supposed to find out early. Oh well. We figured we would just save the $100.00 and wait for the Dr. to tell us on March 17th, St. Patty's Day. So we are eagerly awaiting. I put some pictures on of our quick trip to Atlanta for Jaymee and Jordan's baby shower. We left Myrtle at 5:00 pm on Saturday and were back home at 10:00 pm on Sunday. The trip was 12 hours of drive time. We really love them. I hope you enjoy! Will write more when we find out! Wish us lots of luck and as always please pray for all of us!! A few pictures are coming on the site a little late, I forgot we took them.

2/23/09
On Monday the 16th we went to the doctor and we listened to Baby A's heart beat with the doppler. When the doctor first heard the heartbeat she said "there is your baby!", then she said wait that is your heartbeat....why so fast? I was really nervous and had high blood pressure, so my heartbeat was high. She did find Baby A's right after that and said everything sounded good! As we were going into her office she was called out to an emergency C-section and she asked that we come back on Thursday the 19th. She bribed us by saying we could get a free ultrsound if we did. Ofcourse we accepted. On Thursday during the ultrasound she tried to tell us the sex of Baby A, and at first she thought..a boy..and then..a girl..then she said that the baby wouldn't move so she could get a clear shot so she didn't want to guess, so we are still 50/50. Our next apt. is March 17th, St. Patty's Day, so we should know then, expect your phone to ring...everyone! We also did some blood tests on Thursday so more prayers, please. By the way it is hard to tell what the ultrasound is, so in the bottom pic, Baby A is upside down, turned to one side, and in the other 2, you can kinda make out the head, you see a little arrow pointing to what she thought she saw. Hopefully you can make something out. Until next time!!

Today is my birthday. Jason, his dad, and Bryan put together the furniture for Baby A's Room. It took them 7 1/2 hours. We really appreciated all the help. The tall dresser is missing the top drawer because we need to get it replaced, it came with imperfections. We had a great dinner and a yummy "cupCake" for my birthday. Thank you Grandma! Cintha and Jack have an updated photo, he just keeps growing. He is so cute, you may want to bite him.........As you can see the doggies love Baby A's room, they didn't want to leave. I think they will always be in there to protect him/her. One more week 'till our next Dr's apt. Please pray for us, that everything goes well. Dr. Vu says after this apt. if it is all good we should be in the clear.
Comments Happy Birthday Aunt Katie. We love you!

This weekend Jason and I went to Atlanta, Georgia. For Christmas we received tickets to a show there, and decided to extend the trip an extra day to see my friend from grade school, Jaymee and her husband Jordan. We had a great time and made a new friend that I added pictures of, Vaydan, their dog. She is a Great Dane, very sweet and very big. Jaymee is 30 weeks pregnant and I am now 13 weeks. Wow, time flies. I got up some nerve, but not alot, and took pictures of me to put on the site. I think I just look fat, but Jason says I just look pregnant. Isn't he sweet. I hope you all enjoy watching me hit weights I've never seen before. All my pants are getting uncomfortable now. I will have to break down soon and buy maternity pants. Our next DR's APT is 2/16, I'll update again then.
Comments I am so jealous I want to visit my friends too...I am so friend sick I guess you would call it. I am so happy to see you and jaymee, you both look great. I did the rubberband trick on my pants for a while. I miss you and love you! - Jodie

I was a little nervous, I gained 6 pounds already. I hope I don't get to big! Jason and I will take pictures of me and post them so you can all watch me grow.
