Monday, September 22nd, 2008 ~ We started potty training Elle this weekend!
She was telling us when she had to go poop so we thought we might as well get her comfortable with the toilet, not expecting much though.
Elle went potty 3 times this weekend in her big girl potty (once with poo and pp and twice just pp).
Then she went this am (just pp).
She loves getting her stickers!
We got a
That's all for now
Friday, August 15, 2008 ~ Elle has continued to grow. I'm amazed at her everyday. Her vocabulary is growing. She tries to repeat almost everything she hears. Chair, up, down, eat, please, thank you, mama, dada (and of course mommy and daddy), papa, monkey, cup (which is also milk), cookie, baby, cuddle, hug, book, pizza, cheese, bye bye, hi, hello, uh oh, oh no (which is adorable), eye, ear, nose, mouth, two (is her favorite number. She doesn't say one or three as much but we're working on counting to five), car, truck, ball, puppy, blankie, kitty, among others. She will also catch E, F and W when singing the alphabet. It's so cute.
She dances WHENEVER she hears music (definitely our child). She has started to grasp that when she does certain things she makes us laugh and she'll do those things again. She loves to be tickled. She loves to help Kyle and I too. If we're emptying the dishwasher, folding laundry, putting things away, doesn't matter. She wants to help us (most often then not she's undoing what we've done but that's ok).
I think she's starting to understand that her room is going to not only be hers soon. We've started some preparation for Gabe and things are changing around the house. Hopefully we'll be able to paint some blue in the kids' room soon. We've got more furniture for clothes (thanks to Amy and Rob) but we've made a point of keeping Elle's bed where it's always been so she doesn't feel too much of a change. Toys and clothes are getting moved around in her room but her place will always be there.
Kyle and I have FINALLY been blessed with a middle name for Gabe. We struggled for awhile with what we should do. Gabriel-God is my strength, Isaac-he who laughs. As soon as we saw it we knew.
I'm starting to get very anxious for Gabe to make his entrance in the world. Mainly because he seems to be more active then Elle was (at least more active then I remember her being). Hopefully that is NOT a sign that he will be a more active child (though I'm pretty sure that is what that means). So I'm enjoying the moments that Elle lets us just lay on the bed or the couch and play. It's wonderful to just sit there and watch her. She's very good at just laying back and investigating whatever she has in her hands at the time. Kyle and I thank God for these moments! She's also AMAZING at going to bed! We bumped her bedtime up to 7 because she was basically getting ready for bed at that time anyway. So at 7 Kyle helps Elle brush her teeth (which she does a pretty darn good job of most of the time), then all three of us get Elle's diaper changed and put her in her PJs in the calmness of her room (usually with only her butterfly lights and KTIS on). If she's not quite ready to settle down yet we'll all just lay on the floor cuddling and tickling her for a bit. Otherwise she scoops up her monkey, baby and blanket and either tried to climb into bed or into my arms so I can put her there (yes, it almost brings me to tears because I think that at some point, she won't need me to do that anymore. Sadly I see that day coming soon). She gives Kyle and I goodnight kisses (its pretty much the ONLY time she'll kiss us now) then settles in to bed. Most nights she'll say one or two more things to us before we blow her kisses on the way out the door. At this point what she says in indiscernible so Kyle and I like to make things up and respond to her. It's a fun game for Kyle and I even if Elle doesn't get it. We close the door and don't hear from her until morning. Every night after I close that door I just stand there for a moment and thank God for her and how amazing she is.
Anyway, enough of the sap. J All is well with the Stennes clan and we are trying to get as much rest before Gabe comes. Hard to believe we only have 2 1/2 more months! Too soon but not soon enough. We'll schedule our c-section at our next visit which is the first week of September. Then we start seeing the doctor every other week for September and most of October. I told Kyle if Gabe isn't out by Halloween I'm dressing up like Mike Wezowski (sp?) from Monsters Inc because my belly button looks like on eye! LOL.
Mom has moved out to CO and dad will be moving out there the end of the month. It has definitely been felt by me. I miss her already. Occasionally I think I should call her and she if she's free for coffee but that would be an awfully long drive for coffee. Kyle and I will be upgrading the website so we can put more photos up again. We didn't think we'd need to then we got the news that mom and dad were moving so...now we need to. J Don't know when exactly that will happen. Hopefully we'll be able to get internet soon so I can keep up with it a little better then we can upgrade.
Kyle is working on getting a better job but with the unemployment rate in MN right now I'm just happy we're both employed. He applied for some jobs at CBH which would be wonderful for carpooling and saving on gas. Plus we would get to spend more time together as a family (even though it would just be in the car). We're still waiting to hear back in regards to it though.
CBH has proven to have been a wise choice for me, yet again. The continue to amaze me with their generosity towards employees that they appreciate and do their job well. I have applied for a couple other positions outside of the advocate realm but have not heard back yet. I'm a little hesitant just because I don't want to start a new job only to be gone on maternity leave for two months and have to learn the job all over again when I come back. We'll see what happens. God has a plan. I am still, overall, enjoying the job I have and the lack of responsibility in comparison to the last job.
Well I should probably go. This has run on long enough. Continue to keep the Stennes family in your prayers please. This pregnancy has been very draining. If you could also add Amy and Rob, and Karla and Joe to the list as they are also expecting. New babies abound!
Thanks and God bless!!! Thursday August 7th 2008-We got back from our vacation on Sunday. Elle did a GREAT job travelling. No doubt it helped that we drove through the nights. She's expanded her vocabulary last week as well thanks to all the people we were with. Grandma Vicki is Cracker, Grandpa George is Papa, Uncle Ryan is Snuggle. She is doing a wonderful job with her please and thank yous. Mom and dad are VERY excited about that. She says 'guck' for milk. Though it could be cup too. Not sure on that one yet. She says all sorts of words and when we ask her to kiss the baby she lifts up my shirt and kisses my belly. She was even hugging my belly this weekend to hug Gabe. We're getting Elle's room all changed around so Gabe can fit (when we are able to get another crib). Elle is sleeping in her big girl bed still (with a gaurd rail since she fell out when we got back from vacation). The bed she slept in all during vacation is bigger than her bed so no wonder she was confused. She just had her 18 month check up today. 90% for height again! We saw some spots on her when we were in CO and I was concerned it was eczema though if the gets it now its just developemental and will more than likely go away. Dr confirmed though and the patches cleared up pretty fast once we got home. Nice humid climate. Kyle took Elle's pants off to show the Dr the spots and I guess Elle tried to put them back on which is a 2-year-old skill! Then she tried putting her shoes on. :) Elle's growing so fast I have to admit I'm happy I'll have a little one again. One I can cuddle with. Elle just wants to run around all the time (which is good since that's the only exercise I get). That's pretty much it for now. We'll be scheduling our c-section for Gabe at our next appt. I think I'm more uncomfortable this time then I was with Elle. More to come later. Thursday June 12th, 2008- Elle is growing so fast. She makes us laugh EVERY day. Just yesterday she tried putting my high heels on. Then on the way home from daycare she was feeding her monkey some cheerios and pretending her bubbles bottle was a real bottle for her monkey. Such a little care taker. She dances pretty much everyday for us. We've tried to get her head banging on video but she hasn't cooperated so far. She managed to balance a cheerio on her head this morning on the way to daycare. She's such a little goose. Her vocabulary is growing too! She says ball, baby, hi, mama, dada, chair, uh oh of course as well. She says up and down when she wants up or down. She'll shake her head yes or no when we ask her a question. She gives hi five and loves to barge through closed doors and say "Hiiiii!" She waves at just about everything. She like to questions things a lot already just with intonations of her voice. She chats away in her own little language which is absolutely adorable as well. Everytime we ask her if she wants a little brother she shakes her head no (we found out we are having a baby boy-Gabriel). Hopefully she'll warm up to him though. That's about it for now. We'll have to see about getting our site upgraded again so we can get more pictures up. With Grandpa and Grandpa Ceass leaving the state we may actually need it now. :) Monday, April 28, 2008-As you can see from the new photos our little one is growing up SO fast. She LOVES to be outside and has acquired a taste for slides. She is walking now but only when some one is holding onto her hand. I can't really argue with that though. At least she won't go running off...yet.
We are happy to announce that we are expecting baby #2 in November. Elle will have a little brother or sister to play with. Both Kyle and I think it will be very good for her. We did get a picture of the little kumquat already and Elle gave it a kiss and pretty much refused to give the picture back to us. We're thinking that's a good thing at this point. J
That's another thing Elle has started to do. She LOVE to give kisses. Whether she's giving you a big wet one or blowing you a kiss goodbye. She says "Mmmmm-aaaaaa" when she kisses. SO cute. She blows Kyle and I kisses from her crib when we put her down at night.
She absolutely LOVE to laugh and most of the time just cracks herself up doing silly stuff. She's been playing this new game where she'll stand in the living room and (sometimes) wait for Kyle and I to say "Yay" for her since she is standing so well then she throw herself down on a pillow. Some times she doesn't wait for us to clap though and she just throws herself down anyway.
We are sadly in the middle of finding new daycare as well.
We will miss Mary and her family very much but understand that it is her time to move on to better things.
We have hopefully found some one in
Grandma and Grandpa Ceass are in the process of "moving" out West. They are out there visiting now and have only been out there for a week and we miss them already. And not just because of the laundry. J Can't wait until July when we can go out to visit. They will be back in a couple weeks but it seems like a trial run for everyone.
Elle has her 15 month appointment next Friday and I have my 3 month check up the following Monday. We'll have updates on everyone after that.
Thanks to Grandma Pinki for the photos! They are AWESOME! Wednesday, March 12, 2008- Elle is now 13 months old. She still isn't walking yet but I think I'm OK with that. She is becoming quite the picky eater but she loves mac n cheese with hot dogs, bananas, toast, pancakes, spaghetti, and pizza. We're trying to get her to try new things but she just chews them a little then spits them out. Makes a bit of a mess. You never really know if what you put in her mouth will stay there, even if it's something she likes. If she sees something she might like better than she spits out whatever is in her mouth at the time. It's quite fun.
She's sleeping wonderfully. She doesn't sleep with a nuk at home anymore. We just put her in her crib and she just cuddles in. Daycare said that sometimes for naps she likes to just hold the nuk. It rarely goes in her mouth. So she's broken that habit.
She's also gotten a lot better with a sippy cup. She loves to be a big girl with the sippy cup. We were just using it for juice but she absolutely loves it for her milk too.
She's more comfortable with standing and walking when holding on to something. In fact, she'll walk for a little bit just holding one of our hands instead of both. We have Heather and Colette to thank for that. They got a Winnie-the-Pooh ride along that she loves! Usually she'll put it from behind and walk around the house with it. Sometimes she'll push it sideways. Occasionally, if our backs aren't too sore, Kyle or I will put her on it and push her around the house. She absolutely loves that. She even lets out a squeal of excitement. It's very cute (not too high pitched yet).
She still loves her music. Dances to pretty much anything. She really likes the show "Super Why" and the theme music for it. Sometimes she'll even dance along to their dance. Daddy had to show her the dance though. She normally does it anyway but its fun to watch them together.
For her birthday she got a couple mock cell phones and I gave her my old one. Its scary but she knows what to do with them! She puts it up to her ear and says "hello" and "yeah" a lot. It's really cute. Then she'll hand it to some one else to talk to. When some one is actually on a real phone she has no idea what to do though. She gets so confused.
That's about it for now. We are completely enjoying the little diva princess she is becoming and look forward to all the other surprises she has for us. Friday, Feb 29th, 2008-It's been way too long. So quick update. Elle's saying a lot of stuff. Mama, dada, hi, roar. She gives kisses (SUPER cute!). Her 12 month check up was great! She's off the nuk and drinking whole milk. The spit up is back a little bit if she is too active after drinking her milk. I'll have to update more later since I only have 7 mins left at work! Ahhh! She's so big and trying to walk. Again pics from Aunt DEb.

th 2007~Christmas went wonderfully.
I find it amazing how Elle will completely destroy any magazine she can get her hands on but give her a gift and she doesn't want to touch it.
Oh well.
She got plenty of clothes from Grandma & Grandpa Ceass and an adorable outfit from Uncle Ryan and Auntie Nicki (Kyle and I determined blood aunts for us are aunts and adopted aunts are aunties.
Elle has a TON of aunties, Nicki is one of them, though she may as well be an Aunt).
She has even more stuffed animals than before and we need to get a new toy tub for her now.
Kyle and I are contemplating moving her toys into her room as they are starting to take over the living room.
My family kept all gift giving for Elle pretty reasonable though I am a bit scared what Kyle's parent's will do.
J
I told Kyle we better empty out the back of the truck before we go.
I'm starting to plan the big birthday party and I am already starting to get stressed.
I just have to remind myself to breath right?
It will be SO much fun though.
She's growing so fast and I'm VERY glad she got a lot of clothing because she is growing out of the stuff she has.
Lots of pants for my long legged girlie!
Photos are up courtesy of Great Aunt Deb!
Check them out!
Tuesday, December 11, 2007-Well, Elle continues to grow.
She's managed to get her top front 4 teeth all at the same time.
She had a fever of 102 last Wednesday.
Found out Thursday it was from all the teeth that were pushing their way through.
She's growing up so fast it's crazy.
She's crawling all over the place and is extremely happy with herself most of the time.
She is still discovering new sounds.
She made a Z sound yesterday.
I'm missing her (and Kyle) a lot.
Busy doing the show but that will wrap up (ha ha. The show is "All Wrapped Up") this weekend.
More family time after that.
Just in time for Christmas.
We are VERY excited for Elle's first Christmas.
She should be some what aware of what is going on.
Though we are a bit afraid she may try to eat the gifts and stockings instead of opening them.
Should be entertaining either way.
She's eating 'real' food now.
She LOVES bacon!
Still doesn't like her veggies much and gets weirded out by a lot of textures.
It's fun none the less.
She is now officially sleeping through the night.
7pm-6:30 am.
We are VERY happy about that though we do still want to sleep till 11.
Needless to say the whole family takes a morning nap.
When Elle is down, so are we.
Unfortunately we haven't had a chance to play in the snow yet.
We do have a sled and snow pants though.
So we are just waiting for the right moment.
Anyway, that's pretty much it.
New pictures are up too!
Sunday, November 18th, 2007- Halloween has come and gone and we are almost to Thanksgiving. I have just now put up the Halloween photos! Sorry all. We were having computer problems. Taken care of now. Elle is crawling around like mad now. We really have to keep our eyes on her. She can get in to all sorts of things now. :) She had her 9 month appointment last Tuesday. She is almsot 20 lbs and 29 inches long! Such a big girl. She's eating well and the doctor said she is on a good path. She had to get her blood drawn to check her iron levels and for the lead scare that has been going on. We don't have any of the newer toys though so we don't have much of a lead problem. She did a good job with the test though. She was distracted most of the time and was more upset that we were holding her down than anything else. She actually handled the blood test better than getting weighed! She's got almost 5 teeth now. 3 on the bottom and 2 on top. The top ones aren't through yet but they really want to get out. So Elle has been a bit of a crabby pants but not too bad. She's a good kid. She's mimicing quite a bit too! Kyle said "the Bible" the other day and she copied him. It didn't come out exactly as te Bible but it was VERY cute. She has done that with a couple words. Kyle and I really enjoy it. We're looking forward to her first Thanksgiving and Christmas. This will be a crazy time. We'll get done with the Holiday's and her birthday is right around the corner. Thank goodness we have given some thought to it. Thanksgiving will be spent with Kyle's family and the Blue Moon resort up by Grand Rapids. We'll be up there starting Wednesday and coming back Sunday. Uncle John Theis will be in town so he'll hopefully stop by Sunday as well. Elle is even getting close to walking. She does a pretty good job when we hold on to her hands but she's still a bit shaky! That's all for now. I'll write more later! Thursday, October 25, 2007- I am happy to say Elle started crawling this weekend. Little bit by little bit. Very exciting! Kyle then pointed out to me that Elle wont' rely on us to get her around anymore. L She's making adorable faces everyday. She's started to throw herself backwards and shake her head in this sort of "AH, I'm crazy" type way. It's adorable if you're ready for it but if you don't know its coming it freaks you out. She's talking a lot now too! She's started saying mama at a audible volume. She does say random things that sound like words, which is fun. Yesterday I swear she said green poop. LOL Kyle doesn't think so. Of course you have to use your imagination a bit. She'll just sit and talk to herself. She has gotten quite clingy with me but has no problem with daycare. That's all for now. I'll try to get some photos loaded. I did load some from when she was with Aunt Deb last week but we have so many new ones. I will for sure get our Halloween pictures on after Halloween though.Thursday, October 11th 2007- My how time flies. Elle is officially 8 months old now. She is getting close to crawling. Though she still prefers to walk. She's eating more now and has let up quite a bit on the spit up. She is doing such a great job and taking naps and going to bed too! She hardly ever fusses anymore and IF she does its only a couple mins of just noise making. Not actual crying. She is looking more and more like a toddler and less like a baby. She is getting to spend more time with Kyle now too. He quit his job at Target so he gets to be home with her at night while I'm at dance teaching. She is getting rather big. She is chatting up a storm. She said "boo-gaa". Which I heard as buger of course and laughed my head off! She will even say mama. Though she says it so quietly you can hardly hear it. It's so sweet. Her favorite word is dada though. She is wearing 12-18 month old clothes. Possibly even 2T! Enjoying the munchkin! AND she's sleeping through the night! That's pretty much it for now though. Later! Wednesday, September 26th 2007-Elle is almost 8 months old now. She's growing like a weed! She still isn't crawling but she's getting close. Though she does prefer to walk if some one is holding her hands. She tends to just use her hands when she is crawling so she ends up pushing herself away from whatever she's trying to get to. It frustrates her a bit but Grandpa George gets a kick out of it. :) She has started saying more. "Ba-ba", "pa-pa", "ga-ga" and if we're lucky and occasional "ma-ma". She still says "da-da" as well. She likes to gurgle and she tries to make her lips do the horse thing. That's the best way I can describe it. She doesn't quite understand that she needs to relax her lips yet though. She is eating solids now. Well we're trying to get her to eat solids. Sometimes she's in the mood and sometimes she's not. She does like sweet potatoes though. And she LOVES teething biscuits I guess. She had one at Grandma and Grandpa's house. She's not on the feeding schedule she's suppose to be on though. Three meals and then one bottle at night. Oh well we'll get there. She's still not sleeping through the night. Though we just got her back in her own room. Julia was home for a couple weeks and stayed with us so we moved Elle in to our room. It was...fun. :) It's nice to have everything back to normal. Elle is now in a big girls car seat (very thankful to Aunt Janie for the use of theirs). It's funny when she falls a sleep though because she's all bent over since the seat doesn't recline. VERY cute! We still need to get a mirror so she can see me when we're in the car. She gets to go to her first b-day party for a friend next month too. Should be fun. I'm excited to see how it will be arranged. I don't think I'll take on as much of a party as she is but it'll be nice to see what she's doing. We'll probably just do a cake and MAYBE ice cream. We are all ready for Halloween as well. Elle is going to be a monkey. It is the cutest costume. And fits her so well since she is a little monkey. That's all. Later. Thursday, August 30th- Ellie it seems is still struggling with her cold. She has a nasty little cough. Though I wouldn't be suprised if it was from the mold in our house. Kyle seems to be suffering from something similar. The fact that it has been raining so much at that kicks up all the dust doesn't help either. My poor babies. Elle does seem to be eating fairly well though. She doesn't like peas or carrots but she's ok with banana and peaches so far. She won't even take peas mixed in with the rice cereal. I think all the tastes would just be to strong to give her flat out so we're mixing it with rice cereal for now. She seems to be doing well with it though. Sometimes she REALLY enjoys it and grabs for the spoon to put it in her mouth by herself. She's so cute. We stepped up her diaper size as well. Yes that is what my life is all about now. And I LOVE IT! She's doing VERY well with sitting up by herself. She walked a little yesterday (with help of course-but I didn't move her legs for her just held on to her hands). It was quite exciting. She LOVES being tickled and pretty much automatically cowers away from Grandpa when he approaches because he ALWAYS tickles her. :) It's so cute. She borrows into the shoulder of who ever is holding her. The whole if I can't see you you can't see me type thing. It's wonderful. Can't believe the summer is over already. I wish we could go on more vacations and have more days off. At least we get monday. :) Hopefully we'll be up at the cabin if not repairing our bathrooms. :( I should get back to work though. More later. I'll try to remember photos! Also check out Mike & Elissa Morris' baby, Logan. www.babyhomepages.net/morrisbaby He's adorable! Monday, August 27th- SOOO sorry! I can't believe it's been over a month! Well, Ellie now has 2, count 'em 2 teeth! Kyle and I can no longer allow her to suck/chew on our fingers. She bites! She continues to grow WAY too fast. We have moved her in to a big girl car seat. She still under 20 lbs though so she still has to face the back. We're getting there though. She's at 17 now. She had her 6 month check up on the 17th. We've started solids. She doesn't like her veggies very much. She's ok with rice cereal though. We're going to try fruits next. Hopefully she'll eventually warm up to the veggies. She will occassionally sleep through the night. It all depends on how she's feeling. She's been doing much better though. She slept through the night last night. She was making noises in her sleep though so I didn't sleep through the night. We had a bit of a storm so I'm wondering if that was scaring her a little. We're working on getting our bathrooms fixed. We have a bit of water damage and mold growing in both bathrooms. Not very healthy for our baby (or us). Hopefully they'll start tearing stuff out this week. I have bookclub Thursday and I'd like one functional non-stinky bathroom. Ellie is talking more and more. She's starting to roll more freeling as well. Not quite crawling yet. We still think she'll move right to walking. She is getting more confortable on her tummy as well. As long as some one is down there with her. Kyle is working on getting enough hours at his day job to quit Target which would be wonderful. He would actually get to see us! Hopefully that will change soon then. Dance starts soon too. So it would be nice to have him around to take care of Elle while I'm at the studio. 4 days a week for multiple things. Teaching, adult company for Dance Xchange, adult company for MN perform Dance and Starettes. SO exciting. Well time to get to work. Sorry it's been so long! Tuesday, July 24th-YAY for vacations! Elle is doing absolutely wonderfully out here. I think she really likes the fresh air. We may have a problem getting her home. :) Sunday and Monday consisted of laying around and being lazy. It was wonderful. We went for a hike today. Elle fell asleep on the way back to the camp ground. She's been sleeping through the nights again. Probably all the fresh air she is getting. She has a tooth as well! We noticed it on Wednesday. I can't really let her chew on my finger any more because it hurts now. I think she took a small bit out of her own finger. It's so cute though. We went in to town after our hike. VERY small town but there are little tourist shops around. It was fun. It got us out of the camper. We didn't buy anything though. Some of the stuff is SO expensive! Tomorrow we will be getting up early and going for a truck right. We are renting two Jeeps and going 4wheeling through the mountains here. Elle will be joining us. I'm more concerned that I'm going to get car sick. I get car sick so easily. Elle will probably be just fine. It's an all day thing too. So we'll leave at about 7:30/8 and get back around 3. Should be fun. No idea what Thursday and Friday hold for us though. We will be heading back home on Saturday. It's been so wonderful so far. That's pretty much it for now. I've tried adding pictures but it's being difficult right now. I am just glad we HAVE internet in the middle of no where. :) Saturday, July 21st-The 15 hour car ride to Colorado went VERY well. Ellie slept pretty much the entire ride. We went to the Borders last night to get the Harry Potter book then left right from there. So we are now in Colorado and all ready for a week of vacation! Check out the pictures. Sunday July 15th-SOO sorry its been so long. It's been busy around our house. Our front desk girl left at work so I've been filling in for her. I also gave my notice at work. I got a job at Cigna as a provider advocate. Hopefully I'll be able to get done with work a little earlier and spend more time with my child and husband. :) Arizona was WONDERFUL. Pretty sure we ALL wish it would have lasted longer. The weather was beautiful. The pool was perfect. LOVED it. Ellie had her first experience in the pool. She did pretty well. It was a bit cold for her at first but she enjoyed it after awhile. I think she was more curious than anything else. She was absolutely perfect on the plane. On the way there she was the only child and no one knew she was even on the flight. On the way home there was another baby and two toddlers. She was the only one not crying. The rest were crying almost the entire plane ride home. Other than that it was pretty nice. Oh! We had some of our baby supplies taken from us on our way HOME. Made me a bit mad. My thought was if I was able to bring it down I should be able to go home with it. Plus the guy that took it was on a bit of a power trip. He told Kyle he's was letting the Children's Tylenol and something else go. He should have taken them. What a tool! He either should have taken it all or none. I understand that he didn't make the rules but he sure was enjoying it. But the trip was wonderful as I said. Ellie is doing very well. We had a play date with one of my girlfriends and her 8 month old. It was rather adorable. Ellie is still a bit unsteady when she is sitting up. She fell towards Colette (the 8 month old) and scared Colette. I think Colette thought Ellie was going to eat her. Ellie fell right towards Colette's foot. Colette really didn't know what to make of Ellie to begin with so Elle's "attack" didn't really help. It was quit cute to watch the two of them interact even though there wasn't much interaction. They didn't really know what to do with each other. Kyle and I bought a new car. A Saturn VUE. We absolutely love it. It fits all of Elle's stuff - one of the primary reasons we got the car. We're very excited to take the car out to Colorado next weekend. Hopefully all will go well. It's a long drive but in a bigger car it shouldn't be as bad. Ellie was dedicated on the 24th of June. We had an open house afterwards so everyone could see the "new" house. She was a bit crabby that day. Unfortunatly she was overstimulated and didn't get any naps. She was a treat to deal with that night (sense the sarcasm). That's pretty much it for now. Sorry it took so long. Hopefully I'll have more time after this week. Tuesday June 12th-Ellie and her 4 month check up today. She weighs 13lbs and 11 oz (that's in the 50th%) and she is 26 inches long (95th%). The Dr. was amazed at her stage developementally again. She's such a smart girl. VERY observant. We have permission to give her some Tylenol before the flight on friday so she's not going crazy when her ears pop. She doesn't need to start solids yet. Apparently they don't like to start them until 6 months unless they are in the top 90th% of weight which Ellie is not. :) Otherwise everything checks out wonderfully. Sorry. SUPER boring. Ellie's first Father's Day is fast approaching. She said 'da da' Sunday. Pretty sure it was an accident but it was still fun. Unfortunately Kyle didn't get to hear it. Brianna and Ryan had their babies! Keep them in your prayers. They are in ICU at children's. Brianna is doing wonderfully though. More later. I'll share all about our AZ trip.
