Stories
Here is a video for your viewing pleasure. I think its from the beginning of May but I'm not sure. Sorry. That info is not with me right now. Friday Ellie and I went up to St. Michael for some grub with my parents and my aunt and uncle. Good food. I can't believe we stayed soo late. Aunt Janie had only seen her once. It was time for a martini fix. :) Ellie had her first Memorial weekend! Yay for an extra day off! Karla's wedding was on Saturday and what a beautiful wedding it was. This was Ellie's first wedding too! She did pretty darn good. Only fussed occasionally. Though we did have to change her outfit because she spit up quite a bit. Sunday she got to spend some time with Aunt Amy and Uncle Rob while Kyle and I went to see the third Pirates. She then joined us for a BBQ at Brian and Jen's. The U of M gang got to see her finally. It had been too long. Mindy and Andrew were in town so they go to see her as well. That was nice. Monday we all slept until about 12 (Oh my goodness) and then slowly made our way to the places we had to go. Ellie and I went up to Maple Grove to do laundry and Kyle had to work at Target. And that was Monday. Pretty much a normal week otherwise. Though I do have to say that Ellie "slept through the night" last night. She didn't technically SLEEP through the night. But she woke up once and I gave her her nuk and she fell back asleep and I had to wake her up at 5 to feed her. She went from 7pm to 5am without a feeding!!! There is hope! Well that's all for now. More to come of course. She will get to see Perry and Jeanine and Jenna tomorrow. In addition to other people she hasn't met yet no doubt. FUN! Thursday, May 24th, 2007-This week has been an exciting week. Ellie had a dance recital on Saturday. She was standing all by herself leaning against me. It was adorable. I have no doubt she'll be walking WAY too soon. I think she would now if she could. She had a bridal shower on Sunday. She succeeded in chatting up the whole room. She's really started to talk lately. Kyle and I woke up Saturday morning to hear her talking to herself in her crib. We were just laying in bed and she went on and on for about 1/2 hour to 60 minutes. Its quite cute when she gets going. Occassionally she really gets a kick out of it too. I have been able to make her squeel with laughter too! She loves it when I gobble at her neck. Kisses that is. Apparently she is tickelish just like her mom. Kyle is getting extremely tired working at both Lancer and Target. Hopefully we'll be able to find something else for him soon. Or me. Point is this schedule won't work for long. I'm usually asleep when he gets home or just waking up to feed Ellie for the last time that night. He has Sundays off and one night a week. That's just not good for our relationship or his relationship with his daughter. He may have an opportunity to get a job with the USPS though which would be wonderful. Ellie keeps on growing like a weed and is more beautiful each day. She's doing well with sitting up. She's almost got it. No doubt she will be the time she's 4 months. She's doing VERY well with putting herself to sleep at night as well. I'll feed her and she's usually awake for a little while. I'll put her in her crib then read her a story and she's on her own. Whether she's awake or a sleep. She usually doesn't fuss and if she just its just a little because she lost her nuk. It'll be great when she figures that thing out. She's more and more smiley each day. Nice to know we have a happy child. For now that is. I'm trying to live in the moment but I just leep looking at how beautiful she is right now and thinking how much trouble she's going to cause Kyle and I when she hits her teens. Lord help us to raise her well! And PLEASE protect her. Well more later. I'll try to load the video we have of her talking on her later this week. Maybe this weekend. Wednesady May 16th, 2007- One week ago today she was 3 months old. She is growing SO fast. We had to pack away a bunch of clothes that don't fit her the other day. Thank goodness Aunt Janie has a neighboor that had a little girl LAST February so Ellie can just take her clothes once she's done with them. This neighboor had a garage sale and I think Janie cleared her out of all her baby stuff. Ellie is now set with clothes for the summer. Good thing because I didn't know what she was going to wear in Arizona. We go to Arizona next month. The 15-18. I'm so excited for a mini break. Grandma and Grandpa will get to see their Great-Grandaughter for the first time. Ellie will have her 4 month check up that Tuesday before we leave. We'll find out if she's going to start solids then. That should be interesting. She isn't sleeping through the night yet. She usually eats at 8 or 9 then sleeps until 2. Then 6 again. So its not horrible. Kyle and I are going to try to feed her at 11 then see if she'll sleep through the night. HOPEFULLY that will work. I have no problem with her schedule though. The next couple of nights might be rough if she keeps waking up at 2. Apparently her internal clock is off a bit. Maybe I'll call the Dr. and she what they have to say. Well hopefully we'll be able to keep this updated for everyone. Though I do need to get back to work now. Lunch is over. She has her first recital this weekend. Too bad she's not in it.
