January 18th- Emily is one month old already. It sure has gone by quickly. It seems like she is growing so fast. She is eating very very well and she is learning how to sleep more through the night. She is also learning how to hold her head up on her own. During tummy time she likes to move and look around quite a bit.
We have an appt on the 23rd for our pictures and when we get them in we will be sending them out to everyone. We are also in the process of planning our trip to Wisconsin so Emily can meet the family up there. Hopefully there will be some snow so we can get some good pictures.
January 4th- Emily had her first check up today. She now weighs 7# 15oz. She has gained almost a pound!! She is eating well. Her head has grown too, right after birth it was 35.5 cm and it is now 37 cm. Looks like she's gonna have a big head like her daddy :) Her Dr. said everything looks great, she's a beautiful baby and no concerns at this time. She will go back when she's 2 months old for a check up and for her first set of vaccinations.
The Dr found out that my water broke in the Whataburger parking lot and said well if she was born there she would have been a Whatababy !!!
December 31st- Well all is going well with our little family. Emily is doing great. She is getting more adorable every day! We are looking forward to starting the new year with her and enjoying all to come. Also looking forward to Daddy being able to walk and carry Emily more :) We have her first check up on Friday the 4th and will let everyone know how she's doing. Until then Happy Holidays!!
December 18th-
She arrived at 4:59 pm on December 18th.
We were on our way to the induction and I had called to confirm the appointment. Daddy was hungry so we stopped for some food for him around 4:40am. As we are sitting in the drive-thru the sprinklers went off and scared him... well mommy started to laught and......HER WATER BROKE!!
We arrived at the hospital and then it began. Contractions started and we went for an epidural... no luck on the first shot. So... try again... 2nd attempt at the epidural was much better. First a spinal block then the actual epidural. That was WONDERFUL :)
Around 2:30 pm we were ready to push... of course the epidural was not helping with the pressure which is normal at this point but after a few INTENSE PAINFUL hours of pushing Emily was born.
We just got home today and everything is great.. I will post pictures when I'm up and getting around a little more. Until then just know that all is fine here.
