Stories December 15th-- Emily offically had her first trip to the ER today. This morning she decided she wanted to walk from the couch to her dinosaur toy and fell on it face first. I thought she hit her head,, but when I picked her up she was bleeding from the mouth!!!! It was gross.. I looked inside her mouth and it looked like her bottom teeth went into the top gums. She was bleeding a bunch so I called Shawn at work. We headed to Eglin for the Dr to take a look.
We had to wait 2.5 almost 3 hours to be seen. Finally when we got back there the Dr. looked at Emily's mouth and said all looked well. He also said that it should not mess with her two teeth which.... lucky us... are about to push through the gums. I was worried about the nasty cut messing up her teeth coming in, and just the fact that there is a cut in her mouth and bacteria and stuff. But all is well.. It looks sooooo gross,,, makes me queasy. The good news is that she has her 1 year check up Friday so her Dr then can re-check it. We just will not be able to brush her upper gums for a few days. I will update on Thursday for her birthday then Friday after her appt. December 11th- Tonight Emily was playing on the foot stool and decided she wanted to take steps on her own to her toy giraffe about 4-5 steps away... She made it. She then decided she wanted to walk between toys and stuff on her own. She got soo excited. I am hoping that she will actually walk more before her first birthday or christmas. Only 7 more days til her 1 st birthday!!!!!! We are soo excited.
December 7th- Tonight we finished putting up all our christmas decorations and lights outside. It looks sooo pretty, So far it's the best house yet,, you see it first when you drive into the subdivision!! Emily is getting ready for her birthday, tonight she took more steps on her own, we will sit on the floor and hold her then let her walk between us. She gets sooo excited and ready to walk but just can not master it yet. She did take more steps though,, I hope by her first birthday she will be walking :) Christmas cards are going out tomorrow too,,, new pictures of Emily for everyone and just in time for the holidays. Emily has her check up on the 19th of December for her one year mark. She has to have blood drawn again to check things out plus she gets shots :( I think I will be crying as much as she will be. Good thing Daddy is going too, he can hold her for all the bad stuff. I will update and post lots of pictures after her birthday, We are having a little cake and taking her to get her one year pictures done and then to Build A Bear workshop to make a teddy bear of her own to sleep with.
November 22nd- Today we got Emily's christmas pictures taken, then we stopped by the mall to see Santa, There was a little girl in front of us much older than Emily that cried. Emily was a very good girl. She did not cry at all. She smiled up at Santa and was sooo good. Santa even complimented us on doing such a good job with her. The pictures of her and Santa on her pictures page were taken by my camera so they are a bit fuzzy. I will scan them soon and put those up, I just wanted to get these up so everyone can see our pretty little girl. We are getting ready for Thanksgiving soon and will have plenty more pictures to put up. Take care and we will update soon.
