Stories 01/08/2009 Hello all this is Jamie Ward writing for Tabitha, little Aidan Christopher was born today 01/08/2009 weighing in at a little 6 Pounds 4 Ounces and doing well. Mommy seems fine as i have gotton a few text messages from her. I have recieved a picure from her that i will post on the front page, and he is just beautiful! Updates on how they are will come soon! Welcome Aidan Christopher!! Nov 20, 2008 Well it is true we are expecting another baby BOY!! We are very excited as are Ethan and Evan. His name is going to be Aidan Christopher. I am going to take this opportunity to apologize for my lack of updates. It has been a rough few months over this way. Ethan was having some issues with peeing the bed and his pants and it was unusual So I decided to call the doctor thinking maybe a UTI. So we went in that test came back negative. They ended up testing him for strep and having blood work done and x-rays. The strep came back positive which was unusual cause he had no other symptoms. So no big deal antibiotics and he should be good. Well his last day of antibiotics he broke out in hives it was unbelievable, they were everywhere. So back to the doctor we went. They seemed to think it might have been a reaction from the strep. Said benadryl should help. Well no such luck the benadrly did absolutely nothing for my poor baby. I called the doctor and they prescribed him something stronger. It did help the itchiness. But then he started to run a temp and his ankles were so swollen and he couldn't walk. We had to take him to the ER. I was so scared. They put him through so many test and x-rays and blood work. All to come up with really no answers. They ended up testing him for lime disease arthritis and so many other things. We got sent home with a diagnosis of Toxic Synovitis. It is some kind of virus that attacks the joints, Well followed up with the doctor to have the lime test come back inconclusive so we had to repeat that as well as the inflammation test for arthritis. The 2 nd time around the tests came back ok. But now we found out he has asthma and his a nebulizer treatments every night. Conclusion is they think this was all caused from a form of strep that is going around . He is so much better now thank goodness. So literally this has all been going on since Sep 22. And we got our final answer about what it was last Friday. So 2 months of back and forth stress and not knowing. I am just glad its over and he's doing better. In this midst of all that my grandfather passed away . He was my Dad he raised me gave me away on my wedding day. I am so sad I feel as though a part of my heart has been ripped out. I am trying to be strong for the boys but man some days it is so hard. Especially when they ask for him. They are both too little to understand even though we tried to explain to them. On another note Ethan started preschool and loves it. Evan is a talking fool LOL! My boys are a handful to say the least but I wouldn't change a thing. My pregnancy is going ok. This one I have to say is flying by . I am actually measuring 4 weeks ahead that is what happened with Evan and he came a month early. My doctor doesn't see me making it past 38 weeks from my previous deliveries Ethan was 38 weeks and Evan 36 weeks. So looks like Aidan will probably be a January baby. I am a little stressed because we thought we were done so we have absolutely nothing and have to start all over. With everything that has been going on I have been slacking on picking things up. Now with Christmas around the corner it looks like I will be doing last minute baby shopping. Hopefully he waits until the middle of January. Still no excuse for my lack of updates and slacking of our front page. The boys are doing great. Evan had his 18 month check up in January he weighed in at 32lbs and he was 35 inches long. What a big boy huh? He is really our dear devil he climbs on EVERYTHING!!! He is very curious and gets into EVERYTHING!! Ethan never was like that. Whew but now Ethan is following right after Evan and boy what encouragement they give each other LOL! Ethan is doing good he weighs in at 38lbs and he is 41 1/2 inches tall that was back in November. I love having them close in age they really are best of friends and I hope it stays tht way. We are looking foward to the warmer weather to come so we can enjoy our yard and the outoors. I guess that is about ll the happening over this way. Hope everyone is well. Lots of Love Tabitha and the boys Hello Everyone! We took the kids to Lasalette to see all the beautiful christmas lights. It was so cold. They loved it though. Evan was so bundled he couldn't move LOL! All he kept saying was WOW AHHH!! It was so darn cute. We are getting ready for theholidays and Ethan is super excited for Santa to come. Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. Love Tabitha Just a quick update when we took evan to the doctos the other day for a sick visit he was weighing in at a whopping 29lbs 12oz. Good Lord he is a big boy. Ethan was 38lbs at his 3year visit and 41 inches. November 15, 2007 Ok I am so horrible my lack of updates is inexcusable. I have been busy with the house, working and my two beautiful baby boys. Ethan and Evan are doing really well getting bigger by the minute. They had awesome birthdays. We did there parties together considering there birthdays are 2 weeks apart. They got tons of stuff and had a wonderful time. September we had our Family vacation to Disney World. We had a blast other then the boys getting a stomach bug and then mommy and daddy got it on the plane ride home yuck! The boys loved it and were so good on the plane and in the parks. We also got to meet our Babyhomepages friends The Baker Family. It was so wonderful to finally meet in person, after talking through emails and instant messenger for a little over 2 years. All in all it was a great vacation thank you Grammy and Vo Vo. Halloween was fun. Evan was Woody from Toy Story and Ethan was suppose to be Buzz Lightyear but decided he didn't want to get dressed up. So Damien wore his costume and looked very cute in it. At least someone got use of it LOL!
As of now the boys are both sick with bad colds and we are getting ready for the holidays. We are having Chris' family here for Thanksgiving which should be nice. Wish me luck this is my first time making a turkey. Other then that not much else going on. I am not going to promise to update more cause I did that last time and look what happened LOL!! Hop everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! May 20,2007 Hello Everyone It has been the longest ever since I have updated. Things have been quite the roller coaster for us lately. We are somewhat settled into our new house. It has been one thing after another since we moved. The biggest thing being my poor Ethan. Right before we moved he had a bad ear infection. Needless to say not too fun transitioning a sick toddler into a totally new environment. The first couple of weeks were pretty rough. I was concerned about Ethan. It was almost like he was depressed. Just wanting to lay around watch TV and not much of anything else. His eating habits were horrible. Then I would think to myself this poor baby has had his whole little world completely turned upside down. I also started working 4 nights a week so not only did we move but I was away from him at night something he totally was not used to. So when he went back to the doctors for his ear check-up. I voiced my concerns to the doctor. He somewhat agreed with me thinking maybe he was a little depressed, but wanted to do some blood work just to be on the safe side. Well the blood work came back showing that his liver enzymes were highly elevated. They needed more tests done to see what it could be. He also had to have x-rays done to rule out any tumors. So now it was the waiting game. The x-rzys came back fine. Which was great. The mono test came back neg. The more in depth liver test had to be sent to Boston for further evaluation. Those results would take a week. Now at this point the doctors are not telling us anything. All they would say is we can't speculate what it could be we need to see the results from the other labs to know. So needless to say We were a wreck. Now the doctor calls and says we can't get a clear read we need to redo the labs ARGH I was so mad but hey you got to do what you got to do. So back to drawing blood again. Poor Ethan! The doctor said that when the liver enzymes are high it could be so many different things and that they think it could have been a virus in his body working its way out. Well thank God that is exactly what it was. The first set of labs showed his level at a 700 the norm is 280-400. We redid the labs and he was down to a 400 which is great! The doctor said when your body is fighting a virus or infection that liver enzyme increases. So thank you lord for letting my baby get better. I can honestly say he is really back to himself. I thank God everyday for that!! He is my happy adventurous little guy again. Evan is doing great!! He is bigger then ever weighing 24lbs and 30 inches long at his 9 month check up. He is just the happiest thing especially when he's eating. That boy would eat all day long if we let him. LOL! He is crawling and pulling up on things . He loves his bath time with his big brother. Evan just thinks Ethan is the funniest thing. Some things he is doing is shaking his head no and saying no-no. He says Daddy and Dada, Mama, Nana, Hi and he waves. He loves to clap and say yay . He also says what's that and wow and uh oh and oggy for doggy . Speaking of Doggy. We added a new member to the Martins Family. We got a handsome lil puppy it is a Cavalier Shitzu mix. He is about 10 weeks old and weighs 3lbs 6oz he is just the cutest thing!! He is doing really great with his training. He has only had a few accidents in the week he's been home. I need to get pictures up of our house but it is no where near completion. Hopefully soon I can get some up for you all to see. We have been taking advantage of the warmer weather to get some yard work done. So the inside in turn gets neglected. Ahhh the joys of homeownership. Hope everyone is well and I am going to try and update more often enjoy the pictures Love Tabitha Hi Everyone!! Just a quick update. We have all been so sick over ths way. We took Ethan to the doctors today and he has a pretty bad ear infection. So he is on antibiotics, hopefully that helps. My por lil guy. Evan is finally over his cold and is just the happiest little thing. He waves hi and says hi it is so darn cute. He is quite the little dare evil and wants to try and do everything his broher does. I sure have my hands full. On another note I am happy to say we will be moving into our new house this weekend YAY!! It ha s been a long 7 weeks. Other then that things are go and I will update more pictures and such after we are moved in. Lots of Love Tabitha Feb 27 Hi Everyone.Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day!! Ourlives have been so hectic with all the work being done on our house. The boys are doing great! Evan officially started crawling on Saturday. He is so funny he looks like a little inch worm. Ethan had his heart doctor appointment on Feb 7th He weighed in at 34lbs. What a big boy! His murmur is still there but has gotten smaller. Which is great news. He doesn't have t go back until next year which is fabulous. He was such a good boy while the ekg was done. Poor thing looked so terrified I felt so bad. Not much else going on over this way. I think his cheeks weigh him down. today he started saying buba for brother hehe He has his two bottom teeth and two more are coming in on the bottom. Poor little guy. Ethan is doing so great. He talks and talks all day long. He is drawing really well. I took some pictures of his drawing on his magna doodle I will post those as soon as I find the cord to my camera. As far as us we are doing great. We bought a new house which we will be closing on the 8th of February. We are really excited. So that is one of the reasons for my lack of updating. Lots of Love Tabitha Hello everyone! It has been forever since I last wrote a story. Sorry :(. Things have been pretty crazy around here. it has been one death every month in our family since July and Then November brought another tragedy of my Grandfather having a stroke. He is doing extremely well. He is home recovering. Lots of prayers and his strong determination for him to get better has paid off. Well Christmas is just a few days away and Ethan is super excited. He loves everything and anything to do with christmas. He loves Frosty the Snowman movie , song and he also has a pillow that goes everywhere with us. He knows all the words to the song as well as Jingle Bell Rock, Rudoph, Here Comes Santa Clause and The Grinch. He is too funny. He talks and talks all day long hahaha!!! We have to watch him every second. The other day I put Evan down for a nap in the pack and play and I had to use he bathroom Ethan was watching movie, I figured Evan was ok. Well I come out of the bathroom to find Ethan laying next to Evan in the pack and play. He moved the pack and play next to the bed so he could climb in. Then the other day he came into our bed to sleep it was about 5:30 am and I had put Evan back to bed but Ethan decide he wanted to stay in our bed so i let him. I guess I dozed off and I woke up to Ethan surrounding himself with pillows chowing down on a candy cane that was filled with M& M's that he found in one of the many bags I had on the floor in the bedroom. I said Ethan what are you doing. He says these are good. Oh man he is too much. Another new thing is throwing the pillows off our bed and jumping into them. It drives me crazy but no matter whta we do he keeps doing it. Ahhh the joys of toddlers. He definetly keeps me on my toes. A couple of weeks ago he noticed his private part. He said mama what's that a snake. I was trying so hard not to laugh and I said no ethan that's your penis. He then proceeded to ask mama do you have a penis. I said no only boys have that. Then he became obsessed telling us look I 'm shaking my penis. Then he would ask do you wanna see my penis. Oh my goodness he is too much. I was then changing Evan's diiaper and ethan says "Awww how cute look at evan's little penis" I laughed so hard.We told him that it is private and he has kinda calmed down about it thank god hahaha!! Evan is such a happy little guy. He is rolling all over the place and trying hard to crawl. He grabs everything thats in front of him. Especially sippy cups. We gave him one of his own today and he did pretty well with it. No juice just a little bit of water. He is sleeping through the night and has been for some time now. He is sharing a room with Ethan and so far so good. Ethan has his little moments of jealousy, and acts up to test our patience. All in all he is a good boy and you can tell he loves his brother very much. We have been truly blessed with two happy healthy baby boys. And for that we are greatful. I think that is abot all for now. Hope everyone has a very Happy Holiday! Lots of Love and Blessings Tabitha November 18,2006 Evan had his 4 month doctors appointment Nov 9th. He is doing well He weighs 17lbs 10 oz and is 26 3/4 inches long. he is such a big boy. He also started on cereal and fruits and veggies. He LOVES to eat. I can't get the food in his mouth fast enough. He is getting really good at grabbing things. He is such a happy lil guy. He absolutely loves his big brother. He sees him and his face lights up it's really cute. Just wanted to give a quick update. I will write more later. Love Tabitha
Just a really quick update. Evan went to the doctors on friday he is 14lbs 2 oz which places him in the 86 percentile . He is 25 inches long which he is up there in the 96 percentile like his big brother. He got 3 shots my poor baby but he did so well. No concerns with him the doctor said he is doing great. Thank you to everyone for the anniversary wishes. I am truly blessed to have such great friends. Well we took Ethan and Evan to Edaville Railroad last Saturday. It was a day out with Thomas the train. He absolutely loved the train ride. Then we let him go on one of the kiddie rides. He was fine and then all of the sudden as the ride went around once he started freaking out screaming they had to stop the ride so we could get him off. Then two little girls started screaming cause they stopped the ride LOL!! But other then that we had a good day. Ethan and Evan both had little colds this past week. We called the doctor for Evan and they wanted to check him out seeing he is still little. You ready for this one our little chunk weighs 15lbs 1oz hahaha!! He gained a pound in 10 days. Man my kid loves to eat. Oh did I mention we think Evan has a tooth coming in. His bottom gums are all swollen and there is a little white almost poking through. Lets see what else Evan gave me his first giggle yesterday Sept 21 and today he rolled over. He is growing up way too fast. He is cooing and smiling all the time. I love this age it is so cute. His smile just melts my heart. Ethan is doing ok. He is testing our patience quite a bit lately. I guess it is the terrible twos. He is a character though the way he will change his voice when he tells me what daddy says. He cracks us up. He truly is such a blessing to our life. Both of our children our. Well I guess that is about all the happening over this way. Hope you all have a great weekend. Lots Of Love Tabitha August 27, 2006 Hey everyone!! Now that I actually have a free moment. Sorry for my lack of updates, this is going to be a novel. Ok as you can tell from the pictures Chris and I went to a Preseason Patriots game. A first for me I have never been to any live sporting event. Well professional anyway. We had a great time. I loved it and hopefully we can score some tickets to a real game. Then this past Thursday we went to The Black Eyed Peas concert. Of course I forgot my camera but it was awesome . They performed great. We had a good time. It was nice to get out and have some fun adult time. Ethan is super fabulous!!! Hahaha!! He is talking up a storm . It is so funny!! He loves his lil brother but does have his moments of jealousy , I guess it is only natural. He is such a good little boy and I think we take that for granted sometimes. Today we asked Ethan if he wanted to go to the zoo and get this he said no I just wanna go to Target. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY KID !!! Hahaha! Ahh so needless to say we didn't get to the zoo it started to rain on our way so our little man got his wish and we went to Target. As you can see from the pictures, we took Ethan to the beach for the first time this summer. He loved it! He loved playing in the sand and walking along the shore collecting rocks and shells. He couldn't go in the water cause there was so much red seaweed Yuck!! But hopefully next time he will be able to experience it. Lets see what else. He loves to play with stickers and reading books. He finally lets me sit and read to him. Before he would just snatch the book from me and look at it but I kept on trying now he just enjoys our story time so much. Which I am grateful for I enjoy it too J I know I have so much more to write but I can't think at the moment. Evan is doing very well!! Praise the Lord he is sleeping through the night. YAY!!! He usually goes down around 9-10 and gets up around 5:30. We have been blessed the past few nights with an 8am wake up. But I am not going to get use to that. I can definitely deal with the 5:30. He is a little porky he is eating 8oz every 4 hours. Man that baby is always hungry. He is doing very well with the combination of the Dr. Browns bottles Mylicon drops and the Gentlease formula. Hey whatever makes my little guy comfortable. His next doctors appointment is on Sept 8 th a little late because our doctor is on vacation. I am dying to know how much he weighs. He is wearing size 2 diapers and sporting 3-6 month clothes already. These babies grow way too fast. He is smiling and cooing all the time. He is holding his head up pretty well too and is so alert. Oh we got the kids pictures done hahaha!! What an experience. Ethan is just not into the picture thing anymore which saddens me but what am I going to do. He wouldn't take the picture so we all had to take one and the family one came out horrible yuck. They took one of Chris and the boys and then me with the boys they came out ok. Then one of each of the boys and by that time Ethan was done so I have none of the two together. Hopefully next time. I get those back on Friday so stay tuned for those. Other then that I think that's about all the happening in the Martins Household!! Love You All Tabitha Hello Everyone Just wanted to give a quick update. Evan has been quite gassy so we switched formula and bottles. It seems to be making a difference. Poor lil guy, we felt so bad for him. He finally did pretty well with sleeping last night. It has been torture the past month. We were very spoiled with Ethan he was and still is such a good sleeper. Hopefully it gets better. Other then that we are just enjoying our summer. Hope everyone is doing the same. Lots of Love to you all Tabitha Hey There Everyone!! Whew I have a lot of updating to do. Well we welcomed our newest addition into the world on Tuesday June 27th at 11:18 pm. My labor started on Monday with really strong contractions, so off to the hospital we went. I was 2cm dialated and 50% effaced. When they checked me an hour later there was no change. So they suggested to go home and walk and when they got stronger to come back. So we wnt home and walked and walked . The contrctions did not subside but didn't get much stronger. Tuesday morning I had my doctors appointment and I had progressed to 2 1/2 argh and 60% effaced. SO my doctor decided to strip my membranes. Boy was that uncomfortable. He said That would speed things along. Well at about 11:00am my contractions started to get so intense and off to the hospital we went again. After 3 hours of waiting in the ER I finally gotten taken in to be evaluated only because I said I thought my water broke because I had been waiting so long. They checked me and I was 4cm and 75% effaced yay they admitted me. and I finally got my epidurhal and progressed naturally no need for pitocin this time they gave it to me with Ethan. I pushed with two contractions and Evan was here 7lbs 10oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He is such a blessing to us. I can't even explain the joy that my children have brought to my life. Ethan is adjusting very well. He is a great big brother!! Evan is the first thing he asks for when he gets up in the morning . He loves to hug and kiss him too. Before bed or naps he has to give evan a kiss and hug it is so cute. It just melts my heart. If Evan is crying Ethan says mommy lets check on brother evan hahaha! He is just the sweetest thing. Evan had his 2 week check up on Monday July 10 and he is weighing 8lbs 1 oz . I don't know why but he seems so much smaller then what Ethan was at that age. Ethan had his two year check up July 10th and are you ready he is 30lbs and 37inches He is in the 90% for height and weight. He is such a big boy. Today is my baby boys 2nd Birthday and as I sit here and reflect on these past two years it brings tears to my eyes. I never knew how deeply and completely I could love or how much joy and happiness one little person could bring to my life. Well I think I have updated on the happening in the Martins household. lots of love tabitha June 13, 2006 All went well with my appointment. Evan is weighing in close to 7lbs already. They said the fluid level was good. His heart rate was 138 which they said was fine. He is head down and ready to roll. So we sit and patiently await his arrival. We will keep you posted if anything happens in the mean time Love Tabitha Hi There Everyone!! Sorry for my lack of updates. Last week I had my 32 week doctors appointment. I have gained a total of 20 pounds. I am measuring at 36 weeks. So either this kiddo is going to be huge or my actual due date is wrong. Which I am hoping the due date is wrong. I guess only time will tell .I am dialated to 1 1/2 cm already, so we shall see. May 20th we had my cousin Marianne's wedding it was so beautiful. Ethan was such a good boy. He got so excited when Shakira came on Hips Don't Lie he loves that song LOL!! My little guy is talking so much and amazing us more everyday. He is a singing fool in the car it is so funny. He can say the alphabet with the assitance of his leap frog magnet. He is constanlty hugging me throughout the day and saying I love you. It melts my heart. I think he knows its only him and I for a little bit longer then he is going to have to share his Mommy. I think he will do ok. Evan's crib is set up in Ethan's room and every night he says nite nite Evan lol!! We also have the pack and play set up and he says that's Evan's. He also knows his own name it is so cute the way he says it. Oh I am known as Mommy now not mama anymore. Chris said Ethan give this to mama and he said no thats mommy !! Hahaha he just cracks us up. I know there is so much more but i can't think right now. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'll update after my appointment on Tuesday. Love Tabitha
