![]() December 2nd- Santa! We decided to beat the rush (and not wait in another hour long line) and took the girls to see Santa today. Gianna was so excited. She was all set on telling him what she wanted. A purple bike. I dont think she was scared, but nervous for sure. She asked me so many questions about where Santa lives, and where the North Pole actually is and of course if we can visit it soon. I really wish this was the year we were going to take the girls to the Polar express in Arizona, but I think Juliet might actually get more out of it if she was a bit older. Juliet didnt mind Santa one bit, just looked up at him and then realized we were going to once again take a picture of her. It was nice not to lug my big camera around and let someone else capture the shot. No wonder I like the Santa pic tradition so much =) This Sunday we are going to cut down our tree and we are all so excited about it!
November 22nd- Gearing up for the holidays
We are finally starting to slow down and enjoy some "home" time. The girls had a great time on all our travels. It is nice to be home and get back into the swing of things. Gianna missed her puzzles, and Juliet missed bugging Gianna in the playroom =) Both our girls are growing up so fast. Gianna is just a little ball of compassion. Such a sweet, caring little girl she is becoming. Bryan bought her a great book called " I love you so", and after the first time he read it to her she cried, literally! She told him what a great book it was. She also tells me that the new carebear movie I bought her is "so sad, and it always makes me want to cry". We are enjoying all the sweet moments with our little girl. Juliet, oh my gosh she is going to be 1 this weekend. Where did my baby go? She loves to put her hand, phone (or anything looking like a phone) up to ear and say "Hi Dad". She loves Bryan so much. She cries for him, she gets sad when he leaves a room.
The girls have been going non stop! We took a quick trip to Vegas with Daddy, this weekend we are going to Idaho for a wedding, next weekend the girls get to spend time with their grandmas while Mommy and Daddy get a weekend away. Then the following weekend we are driving up north for my great grandma's 98th birthday (the girls' great, great grandma!) We are looking forward to all the memories and new places!! We did (amongst all the traveling) sign up Gianna for cheerleading classes. Her first class was yesterday and while she was the only one there, she didnt care one bit. She had a great time and the teacher asked if she took classes before because she was a natural. We are so proud of our big girl!
It sure has been busy around here! Gianna and Juliet are growing and learning so much these days. Gianna is loving the weather we are having and is enjoying the time outside with her puppy, Dutch. Juliet is just getting so big. She loves to eat and baby food is her best friend. She cant get enough. Seeing our girls grow together is just so amazing. To see the love between the 2 of them is truly amazing.
Juliet is *almost* sitting up unassisted for long periods of time & also grabbing for everything!
Lots of growing up has been going on in our house. Gianna finally decided she wanted a big girl twin bed and has been loving it. She also now will take a nap here and there. Not everyday, but once a week is better than nothing. She also is doing great with her potty training. We have been trying for the past year to get to use the potty, but she wasnt having it. She now decided that she is a big girl and wants to wear underwear. She has had 2 accidents this week, which isnt bad at all. We are so proud of our big girl! Then this week Juliet has started to sit up alone for long periods of time. She likes to bend all the way down and stick her feet in her mouth. She also has started solid foods. She loves it so much she eats the whole jar! Today she got to try sweet potatoes and boy did she love them!
The girls had an amazing time in Hawaii. They both were so great on the plane trip there and home. Gianna loved that she could play on the lawn right outside our patio. She got to feed the birds, chase the birds, play picnic, color, and play with her flashcards, all with the beach right in front of her. She couldnt get enough and really embraced it all. She also enjoyed the luau, and entertained us nightly with her ukelele or small drum we got her. Juliet loved laying on her blanket, listening to the ocean waves. Gianna was sad we had to leave. She kept saying "I dont want to go home to California".
Gianna Belle will be 3 years old in just 10 short days. She is so excited to have her friends and family at her house for her party. She also said she cant wait for cake and balloons. Its going to be so fun. Gianna is talking so much and is just too smart. Daddy had to take a short trip to Seattle and when Gianna heard she told me that she wanted to go to "attle" with Daddy. I asked her what she was talking about and she said " I wanna see attle". So funny.
Our little Juliet is growing so fast. Its hard to imagine what things were like before she was here. She is such a good baby, she hardly ever cries and is pretty content. She has also seen alot in her short 3 months of her life. We got to go to disneyland a few weeks ago, and she got to see snow for the first time. It was also Gianna's first time to the snow and she loved it. Its so nice to have the beach and mountains all so close to us. This week we even got a few 80 degree days to enjoy.
After the holidays it seems like we have alot of birthday parties to go to, just in the first few months. Last weekend we went to Gianna's cousin Corinna's birthday party and Gianna had a blast. The theme was Dora, and it was so cute. She got to run around and play with her cousin Corinna and her cousin Emma. In a few weeks we will going to her cousin Ollie's 3rd birthday with a disney princess theme. Gianna is very excited. Juliet had a great time at the party, being held by her family and smiling when she can.
January 8th- Juliet is 2 months old Time is just flying by! Today our little baby J turned 2 months. Bryan had to take her to the Dr since I wasnt feeling well and she weighs 11lbs 8oz and is 22.75 in long. What a big girl! Gianna even notices it and tells her sister daily "Your getting sooo big!" and asks if she big enough to play with yet! haha not yet! Gianna is doing great and having lots of fun with her sister. She loves to get down on Juliet's blanket with her and share in the tummy time. Today Gianna got to feed her some pumped breast milk and she was so proud. She kept telling us how she is such a big help. She really is. She goes upstairs and gets diapers for her when we ask, and tries to give her a pacifer if she cries. Its hard to believe that in just 2 months Gianna is going to be 3 years old. If you ask her when her birthday is she will tell you its March 3rd haha too bad its the 9th. She has requested this year that we have a Care bear party since her favorite is sunshine bear and she loves to sing "You are my sunshine".
Not only do we have healthy, beautiful daughters, but we have been blessed with so many people who love them and really made this holiday a great one. Gianna and Juliet made out with so many wonderful gifts. The festivities kicked off on christmas eve morning when Mommy, Daddy and Gianna made gingerbread bears for Santa. Gianna was so excited to be making cookies and told us that Santa is going to be sooo excited. She said he was going to say "ahhhhh" after he drank the milk and "yummmm" after he ate the cookies. We then headed to Nana's house where we sang christmas carols, ate yummy food, did our christmas program, played with her cousins and opened presents. When we got home Daddy read the girls "The Polar Express" and off to bed they went. Christmas morning we had to actually wake Gianna up since we had a long and busy day ahead of us. She was so excited to see Santa ate her cookies and drank the milk, then was ready to open presents. She got alot of fun stuff from Santa. A new doll stroller, a wagon to share with her sister, a new table and chair set, dolls, games, and fun stocking stuffers. Juliet also got some great things and Gianna helped her open them all. We then went to Nonie's house and opened presents with cousin Ollie. She got a finding nemo fish tank, a cinderella pillow, and new converse. She had so much fun she didnt want to leave, but was so excited when we got to our next destination, which was Nonna's house. This year she got to play with someone close to her age at Nonna's since Daddy's cousin brought his adorable daughter, Haley. They got to play with her little people house and little people car. Her day was so fun filled she was sad to go to sleep since she had soo much to play with. Then today Grandpa and Grandma came over and brought her more presents. She absolutely LOVED her disney princess vanity that has a magic wand to open all the little compartments. They also got her an aquadoodle and next week we get to pick up a new play kitchen for her. We all went out to dinner at the woodranch and it was great! Hope everyones holiday was a wonderful as ours!
This past weekend we got to really getting into the christmas mood. Friday we hung out with the Long family, Julie and Daniel and headed out to downtown Riverside to see the christmas lights at the Mission Inn. It was so pretty and so much fun. Gianna got to hang out with Tony and Amanda and she never can get enough of them! Juliet was nice and warm in her sling and was such a good girl. Then saturday we went out to Los Angeles to decorate cookies with Daddy's family. Gianna had a blast, and didnt want to wait for the frosting and started to decorate her chocolate chip cookie. Finally on Sunday we took the irls to see Santa. Gianna was sooo excited, and Juliet just woke up long enough for the picture then fell back asleep. We all cant wait for christmas next week! Boy, time is just flying by!
December 7th- Christmas spirit! We are having a great time getting ready for christmas. Last weekend we joined our wonderful friends, The Long Family and headed out to Sand Haven Pines to cut down our tree. It was alot of fun, and pretty cold. Well as cold as it really can get in So Cal. I didnt get as may pics as I wanted, cold, trying to keep an eye on a 2 year old and a chily 3 week old just dont go well. Gianna had a great time running around with her friends Tony and Amanda. We havent gone to visit Santa but I am sure we will get to that some time next weekend. Christmas is really creeping up on us fast!
November 23rd- Life with two Things are going good in the Williams house. We are adjusting great to life with two little girls. Gianna loves her sister and tells multiple times a day. She is alittle too hands on with her and wants to tickle her and hold her all the time. She doesnt like when she cries and always runs into the room and tells her everything is going to be ok. She is a great big sister. Juliet is a great baby too! She is very calm and takes to feedings very well. She isnt too fond of the swing yet, and will tolerate her vibrating chair for a little while but she is content. She is growing so fast already. We took her for a checkup on tuesday and she already weighs 7lbs 8oz. She has gained a pound and 2 oz since leaving the hospital. She also grew an inch already. Gianna is doing great too. She is still sleeping in till around 9am and last week we got to hang out at chick fil-a with our Mommy group and she sure did have a great time with her friends. Her latest funny story: Last night when at my Nana's house for thanksgiving Gianna said she wanted to go into the room and see her cousins. We didnt think of much of it, that is until she came out of Nana's room alone with lipstick ALL over her face. She walked out proudly and said "Look at me guys" I wish I had gotten a picture!
This past thursday Juliet Brynn was brought into the world via csection and things are just perfect! I was scheduled for 9am and she was born at 9:51am. She was 6lbs 14 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. She is such a sweet baby and I think she looks alot like her big sister. Recovery has been good. I am sore, but this time around its a lot easier to cope with the pain. We got to come home today Gianna just loves her baby sister. She keeps kissing her and telling her how small she is. She is soo tiny and it makes me realize how big Gianna really is. She even seems so grown up. Gianna had a wonderful time and Nonie and Papa's house and I was told she was so fun and made them all laugh all the time. Life is great and we are so blessed with our 2 girls!
