October 30th- Busy times We sure have been doing alot this month. Not only that, but my computer crashed and for a while I thought I might lose all my pictures. When you have over 18,000 on your computer that is not good news. We actually backed up the whole thing so the pics were saved and I can finally get back to updating. This month we have done so much. Since Juliet will be here next week, we have been trying to get out of the house as much as possible. We spent one weekend at our annual family picnic at the park and Gianna had a blast playing with her family. She got to walk Nonna's dog, and ride her bike which she loved. She of course loved all the yummy food. We also spent another weekend at sea world. Auntie Jessi joined us with her friend Charli and we had such a fun time. We saw the penguins, the sharks, the tide pools and of course hit up the seal show. They redid it and it sure was enjoyable. It was the first time Gianna actually sat and watched the whole thing. She also got to walk around most of the time and couldnt get enough. She felt so independant! Gianna also has been taking part in the halloween festivities this month. We didnt get to go to the pumpkin patch with our Mommy group since the air quality was so bad with the fires nearby. Gianna missed hanging out with all her friends, but we did spend this past weekend in Temecula at a really fun lil patch. The Long family invited us and we had a wonderful time. It did start to sprinkle, but it cleared up and we got to enjoy the corn maze and they took a train ride. We also go to go to the patch by our house with the big blow up jumpers. We met our friend Rhonda and her girls there, just like we did last year and Gianna enjoyed herself so much. She liked having older girls there to take her in the bigger bouncers, the petting zoo and play some arcade games with her. Tomorrow we get to attend our stroller stride halloween party and I am sure I will come home with lots of pics to share!
October 1st- Already! I cant believe it is October already! Gianna is already lovin the halloween season. She gets to pass by the pumpkin patch almost daily and cant wait to play with her friends there. She loves seeing the trees start to change some color, and also liking the weather. Its getting alittle cooler here. Gianna also cant wait for her baby sister. She likes to talk to my stomach and tells her her sister "dance with me baby sister", still feeds her (through my belly button) and when we take a shower she uses the detachable showerhead to spray my tummy and "make baby sister nice and warm". She gives my tummy kisses, hugs and nose-ees pretty much daily. She also loves sitting in the new nursery and try out the rocking chair, and of course the new crib. Gianna is going to make the best big sister, and she is going to enjoy having a baby around. She loves kids! Daddy has been traveling alot these past months and a few weeks ago he went to buffalo, and in a few weeks he will be heading out to Las Vegas again. Gianna thinks that he is out getting us food when is gone that long. Poor lil thing. The first day he left for buffalo, she talked to him on the phone and asked him "if he was done with Buffalo yet?". She loves talking about buffalo. The other day she had ants crawling on her and when she couldnt see it she said "Ants, where are you?, are you going to buffalo?". She is using so many new sentances and talks nonstop. Her favorite thing to do lately is to read a "storybook" and play with her baby dolls. Less than 6 weeks till baby Juliet gets here and we are almost ready! Just a few more things for the nursery and we are set!
This past weekend we finished painting and setting up Gianna's new big girl room. We decided to give her a completely different room, and give her baby sister (Juliet Brynn) her old room. She absolutely loves her new room. When she first walked in she said " I love my new room, I am a big girl now" Ahh she is growing up too fast. She is a little talker, and boy does she notice everything. Every morning she asks where Daddy is, and today when I told her we were going to stroller strides to see her friends, she got mad when I turned left instead of right. She said "No Mom, its that way!, I want to play at the park with Tony". I then had to let her know that we were going to a different park since it was a different day of the week than she is used to. She is a smart one. We also let her try on her halloween costume today, because she kept asking to wear it everytime she saw it in her closet. She liked it for a while, but then wanted to walk around the house wearing my shirt. She is wanting to go on the potty, but its just not happening. We have been bribing her with a few toys that she sees on tv, and everytime she tries she says "Come on pee-pee I want a moo-moo cow" She will get it soon enough!
August 31st- Summer fun Summer is almost coming to an end and Gianna has had a great one. A few weeks ago we joined Daddy at his sales conference in Vegas, and Gianna loved it. She kept saying "We go to Bay-gus?" Man it sure was hot, but we stayed cool in our gorgeous Mandalay Bay room. They even had a really cool aquarium in our hotel and Gianna and I spent the morning looking at fish, crocodiles and lots of sharks. Gianna woke Mommy up at 8, before it even opened handed me her clothes and said "Lets get dressed Mommy, I want to see the Sharks and fishies, Beary, beary SOON!" Once we got back home, we spent the day at the Wild Animal Park with Nonna and Gianna had a blast. She got to feed the lorikeets for the first time and of course her favorite thing to do was feed the deers/gazelles. She could spend all day in the feeding corral.
Next week we head out to June Lake for our annual fishing trip. This year grandpa bought a new boat, so we are looking forward to taking Gianna out fishing for the first time. Grandpa has been asking her since last year if she wants to go fishing. I think she is ready! Of course now all we need to do is get her a DVD player for the car since last year she decided not to sleep at all. Gianna isnt much of a napper, but boy does she love sleeping in. She now knows that when the sun goes down, and the moon comes out its bedtime. A few weeks ago it was dark outside and we were driving home from Nonna's house. She then asked if we could go to "target", or the "animal park". We then had a conversation about her sleeping when its dark and animals sleeping at night too. Then a few days ago we were leaving the mall and it was getting dark. Gianna pointed to the sky and asked "What's that Mom?" I told her it was the moon and she instantly said "The MOON??, goodnight" then proceeded to pretend sleep in her stroller. She is a smart lil one. She also is hilarious. If I am not feeling well, or I dont look happy she asks me "Mom, you wanna go to Target?" then chants "Diapers and wipes, diapers and wipes" It is too funny. I guess she knows Target can always cheer me up! She loves shopping almost as much as I do. She asks "Mom are we going shopping?" almost everyday. Daddy and Gianna started swim lessons last week, since Gianna has got into the habit of wanting to just jump right into the pool. Mommy didnt go and get any pics yet, because I want to let her get used to being with just Daddy. We did head out to sea world again with Nonna, Papa, Auntie Jessi, Sharon & Jolissa, Uncle Jeff, Cousin Ethan and of course her favorite her cousin Ollie. She loves running around with her cousin and it so great that they are so close in age. Gianna does however LOVE her "best friend Jessi". If you ask her who her best friend is she will answer quickly with "Best friend JESSI". They sing songs together and laugh. She cant get enough of her. Gianna still loves to sing. Almost anything that is on the radio, as well as childrens music. She loves Oh Mc Donald, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Patty cake, and the Wheels on the bus.
We got home on Monday from our cruise, and boy did we have a blast! Gianna loved it. She didnt get sick, and we always had something to do. We ate alot of food, and Gianna loved that the pizza & ice cream was 24 hours! We didnt really go in the pool since it was a bit chilly on the boat. After the 2nd day, Gianna would wake up and say "I am hungry, Mom". She also loved the elevators. It would tell us what deck they were stopping on and Gianna loved to say "deck", her favorite deck was the lido deck. It seemed like everywhere we went people told us how beautiful our little girl is. We are so blessed. Not only is she adorable, but she is hilarious. She likes to ask us, "What the heck, going on?" but instead she kept saying "What the deck, going on?" haha she is a crack up. She did spend a few hours in the daycare they have on the boat, because she said she wanted to play, and when she saw other little kids she kept saying "friends". It was a wonderful time, and the sights in Cabo were just beautiful. Daddy still had tuesday off so we headed back out to San Diego and took Gianna on her first sea world trip. We got annual passes so we expect to be going alot more. Gianna loved the penguin encounter, just like her Mommy!
Thursday we leave for our little family cruise and we have been soo busy getting ready. It was also Mommy's birthday last friday, which was the day we found out Gianna is going to have a little sister!!! Now all we need is a name. If you ask Gianna if she wants a sister she says,"No, I want my Papa" haha She does like to talk to what she calls "the giant belly" (mommy's tummy) and gives it lots of kisses. Gianna's vocabulary is growing so much everyday. Yesterday at dinner she asked Daniel "What the heck is going on, Daniel?" haha this kid is hilarious. A few weeks ago we took Gianna to a Dodger/Padres game in San Diego. Just walking up to the stadium she kept saying "this is fun". She loved the clam chowder in a bread bowl. Even the next morning we asked her if she had fun and she said "Ya, soup", and "It was so yummy".
Gianna has been so sweet when it comes to Mommy being sick. She will run to the bathroom with me and ask "You ok, Mom?"and she will get a towel off the rack and say "I will help you". What a sweet lil gal. She can be a little stinker, now she also knows how to get away with things. She will tell me " I cant, feel good", which is her version of Mommy's "I cant, I dont feel good". Mommy has gotten alittle better which is great. No more trips to the ER. Gianna also loves saying "please", "thank you" and "your welcome" any chance she gets. Just last week she said thank you to the automatic doors, just like Mommy used to when she was her age, and she almost always starts her sentances with "please".
April 24th-Our little country girl... Gianna just loves Tim McGraw's new song! She sings it all the time. The chorus words are "1,2,3 like a bird I sing, cause you've given me, the most beautiful set of wings". Gianna loves to sing "1,2,3 bird I sing, given MEEEE, set of WIIINNNGGGSSS" its sooo cute. We had to actually buy the cd because she was not happy that the song ends on the radio. After is over and it goes to the next song Gianna will yell out, "Again!", when I change it back to her song she says "There it is!" We got a little singer on our hands. Gianna is picking up everything we say. She now tells us when she doesnt like things by saying "not cool", she also has started calling Daddy "babe" because that is what he always calls me. Today she asked "I have juice please, babe?" haha.
Easter! Gianna had a wonderful easter weekend. It started on friday morning when she found a few empty plastic eggs on the couch. (I was filling them up the night before) She examined them for a while then asked "Its a ball?" I told her they were eggs and that we were going to "find some eggs". At stroller strides we had a little easter party and Gianna could not wait to "find eggs". She loved picking them all up and putting them in her basket. She kept saying "Yay, I found it!", and "I find eggs!" Saturday we spent the afternoon coloring eggs. Gianna loved throwing the eggs right into the dye. She kept saying "I dip it", she loved using the white crayon to make her own designs. Of course everytime she threw an egg in, she would say "Yay, I did it!" All day she asked if we could "find eggs". Sunday morning we woke up pretty early and headed out to Orange County for church. Gianna's favorite part of church is praying and of course eating the donuts. She didnt stay in the nursery during the service, she got to hang out with Uncle William. Or "Uncle Meow-Meow" as she likes to call him. (he takes her to see the baby kittens when she goes to Nonie's) At the end of the service as the pastor said "amen", you can hear Gianna from the hall saying "AMEN!" and of course "Yay!". That kid loves to pray. After church we headed out to Nonie & Papa's house for easter lunch. Gianna's best friend Ollie was there and Gianna couldnt of been happier. They ate some ham and mashed potatoes in their own little table. All morning she asked again to "find eggs" man that kid is determined. After lunch we did just that =) Gianna loved running around the backyard, with Ollie, picking up as many as she could. Boy her basket was heavy! From Nonie's house we headed over to Nonna's house. Gianna had a nice easter basket hiding for her from Nonna. As soon as she got a good look at it she was so excited. Nonna bought her a "Max & Ruby" dvd! She couldnt open it so she threw it at cousin Matt and said "Ruby and Max!" Gianna has been talking nonstop. Monday she started counting to 13 (she misses a few numbers like 5,9 & 12)haha, Yesterday she starting singing "All aboard the choo-choo train!" and today she asked Julie "Are you drinking water?"
Gianna has been a crazy lil gal lately. She still is the sweet, little, social girl she always is, but now we have tantrums. Yup she throws herself on the floor, or refuses to do things we ask of her. .::sigh::. We knew this day would come. =( Of course there are times where she is as sweet as can be. She points out the window and names everything. The other day she asked for a drink, and after tasting it she said "iced tea". Love this kid, she is so smart! Her new sentance of the week is "what did you do?"
Feb 26th- A few more weeks! Its hard to imagine that 2 years has gone by so fast. Gianna is such a joy in our lives, not only that but she is such a people person. She is very social, and loves new people. She always says hi to people walking by us at Target. She also says bye to people every chance she can get. Gianna got to spend last friday at the "Sesame Presents: The Body" exhibit at the discovery science center. She got to pretend shop in a market, play in Elmo's world, ring the doorbell on sesame street, pretend wash her hands and plenty of other things to keep her busy. Mommy got to chase her around while her eyes lit up with amazement. She had a great time. Gianna loves her Daddy. She always asks "Where is my Daddy?", and says "I see my Daddy". She wants Daddy to take her everywhere, and to help her. Today she told him "I want juice please Daddy" such a polite little girl.
She loves to burp her dolls, she loves to wrap her dolls in blankets and best of all she loves to feed her doll. Yesterday she said "baby highchair", and once Mommy put the doll up for her she then asked her doll what she wants. She said "You want dilla?" (quesadilla) Then waiting a few seconds and said "ok". She walked over to the refridgerator and said "DILLA". She settled on giving her baby some raisins. Which is one of her new favorite words. This past weekend was 3 birthday celebrations. The first one for cousin Ollie's 2nd bday. Gianna had a great time at the Elmo party and playing with her best friend Ollie. Then Sunday we had a brunch with Auntie Jessi for her 19th birthday. Right from there we headed to Los Angeles to have dinner for Grandpa's 85th birthday. Gianna got to spend some time with her 2nd cousins while Mommy & Daddy got to relax at a nice dinner. When we got home Gianna couldnt get enough of her Great Grandpa. She kept putting out her hand and saying "Come on Gamp-pa" then would show him the birds. As soon as he would sit down she would make him get right back up. It was so cute.
Gianna is loving all the tv characters and is learning all their names! Last week it was Sesame street. She added "ernie" & "bert" to her vocabulary. This week it was the backyardigans. Of course she already knew "pablo", but now knows "austin", "tasha", "tyno-ne" (tyrone), and "ameeka"(uniqua). She sits there and names them all day. Gianna got to go her friend Emma's 2nd bday a few weeks ago and had a blast playing with all her playgroup friends. She also likes to say "kaelyn", (Hunter's little sister) After we left all Gianna would say is "Emma Party". She is going to miss her lil friend when her family moves to Iowa. We also had a playdate at the park with our Mommy group. The kids loved the horse playground toy. She also got to meet a few new friends to our group. Vanessa and her daughters Hailey & Madison. Gianna LOVES singing. Her favorite is "Happy Birthday", and the backyardigans "pirate treasure", and theme song. She also loves the radio and Gwen stefani.
January 13th- Come on! Gianna loves to put out her hand, take yours and tell you to "come on". She mostly does it when she wants us to get her something to eat, or wants us to play in her playroom with her. She is so funny. In the past week we have had to go to 2 going away parties =( Cousin Maia and her parents are moving to Michigan and Uncle William is starting school in Arizona. Gianna will miss them greatly. Gianna had a great time with cousins Ollie & Maia at the party. A day later we were in the car and out of nowhere Gianna said "Ollie-ah". I said "what about her Gianna"? She came back with " I miss her". It was soo cute. She did the same thing with Maia's name. She loves her cousins. Gianna still says "amonew" for I love you. Daddy and Mommy always tell each other "love", then the other day G said "mon" her short version for love. She is the coolest. G and I also had our first arguement. I gave her a cookie after she asked for 1 and I told her "ok, but you only get 1", she agreed. Then later went back to the cupboard and asked for another. I told her, "No, I said only one", she came back with"No, two". It went back and forth until finally Mommy gave in. Its a good thing she doesnt really know her 3's. Gianna does know some numbers but mostly counts from 6-10. She actually is pretty good at counting backward from 10-5. (because when we workout we countdown) haha.
January 5th- Our little trip So we took a little trip up the coast for a little family time. We headed out to Santa Barbara first. We stayed at a really cool campsite with tent that have beds and mini cabins. We stayed in a cabin with 2 double beds and a whirlpool tub. Gianna loved running around and pushing her stroller in the cabin. We also got to spend some time at the beach and Gianna loved it. She couldnt get enough of watching the waves and running from them, it was so cute. Then we got to hang out at the zoo for a while. Mommy forgot her camera in the car, but she had a fun time looking at all the animals. It was such a pretty zoo! From Santa Barbara we were off to Pismo Beach. We had a room that was right by the cliffs to the ocean. It was beautiful. We also got to see the Monarch butterflies in the eucalyptus trees, they were pretty cool. Gianna is pretty much saying everything these days. So many sentances are coming out and she is like a lil parrot who whats to copy ever word you say. Its hard when your are trying to tell her to stop then she copies you, and so you try to change it up and she still copies you!!
December 26th- Gianna's 2nd christmas Gianna had such a great christmas. It started on saturday with Grandpa, Uncle Ross, Uncle Robb, Uncle Barry, & Great Grandma Williams. Gianna got a dora tricycle, and her very first bike. She cant reach the pedals quite yet, but she is pretty close. She loves pushing the buttons on her tricycle and dancing to the music. Her favorite part of her new bike is that it has a bike seat for her dolls. Soo cute. We all went to dinner at Toms farms and had a wonderful night. Christmas Eve we started a new tradition to have Mommy's family come over for our own gift exchange before we all head out to Nana's house. Gianna had such a great time opening presents with her cousin Ollie. They also had a ball playing with all their new toys and her new DVD player she got that matches her princess tv. Thanks Nonie & Papa! From there we were off to Nana's. Gianna's cousin Maia was at Nana's, so she had a great time bugging her and Ollie. Gianna loved our family tradition for all the older kids to put on a christmas program. They share bible verses and read some pretty great poems. After that we all sang christmas carols. Gianna could not get enough of it. She was in the back of the room till we started singing.. Then she ran to the middle and started dancing. She got to open some more presents. (or as she calls them "presies") Christmas morning was alot of fun. Her little eyes lit up as soon as she started to walk down the stairs and see her presents. She also loved the Dora wrapping paper. She got a play kitchen from Santa, some doll accessories from Jesus, and a few little people sets from Mommy & Daddy. After Daddy made us some breakfast burritos we headed over to Nonna & Papa Glens house. Once again Gianna had a blast playing with her cousins. She doesnt care that they are all older. She wanted to lead Jenna around and show her, her new Weebles castle from Nonna. Gianna had such a wonderful christmas. It just gets better every year! Gianna has been putting some words together this week her words consisted of: "I want out"(of her stroller), "I want it off", "what the heck"(haha not our favorite thing she says, but at least it isnt a horrible bad word), She says "I love you", but it comes out "amonew". Its pretty cute. Also she says "open it" & "cant".
December 8th- Christmas time Gianna is loving the holiday season. She loves looking at all the decorated houses on our street. She says "Wow, Pretty!". She calls the ornaments "apples" and knows she isnt allowed to take them off (sometimes she doesnt listen) So instead of pulling them off she tickles them. Its so funny. She gets all excited and says "tickle, tickle". We have been busy all week, planning our holiday open house this sunday. Gianna cant wait for her Great Aunts & Uncles to see her house. Here are her words of the week: "today", "tomorrow", "almost","lights", "monkey"
November 30th- Thank you Mom Gianna is just so polite. She loves to say thank you. Too bad she says "Thank you Mom" to just about everyone. Today it was to Auntie Cole after she gave her some puffs, then the garbage man after he left our house. Its pretty funny. I guess when its just us two, I have to realize how I teach her. A few months ago Gianna was babysat by our friend Rhonda and her daughters. Well they taught her to lift her arms up and say "yo", but now for some reason whenever she says it, its "Yo Prada"(our dog) She is such an odd child. She still is stuck on the word taco, too! Gianna only has 1 more tooth to cut through. She has been in a lil bit of a bad mood lately because of it. Then the past few days she has gotten alot better. She has survived 2 shopping days in a row!
