November 15th- Taco? Gianna has been adding the word "taco" to the end of every word. Today after our Mommy playgroup it was Maia taco, Emma taco, & Hunter taco. As soon as we got home it was Mommy taco. Too funny. Gianna recognizes so many things. Today while at Target she saw a pack and play with "baby einstein" on it, and she said turtle. (She watches the Baby einstein "Baby neptune") that has a turtle on the cover. So smart! She is so cute. If you say "your cute" to Gianna, she will twist her finger on her cheek and say "I cute". She continues to amaze us with how quickly she picks things up. Her words this week were: "minnie", "mickey", "ugly", "hotdog", "cute", "help"
Wow our little girl is growing up so fast. The other day we got asked if she was 2 or 3. When we told them she was only 20 months they were surprised! They said she was such a smart lil girl for her age. Gianna is loving the fact that she can pretty much tell us what she wants. Its funny because she is getting such a girly lil personality. She will tell us what she wants over and over and if we dont get it right away, and we ask her if that is indeed what she wants. She will say "okay", like it was our idea. We have been playing with her friends at the park almost daily and she loves it. She loves to go down the twisty slide all by herself. She also loves the swings and the teeter totter things. She tries to be alittle too daring and its scares Mommy, but I am getting used to it. Last friday we bought Gianna the bounce and spin zebra and boy does she love it! Mommy taught her to say "I want zebra, daddy" So when she said it, Daddy went to the store and bought it for her. The first time she got on she wasnt sure, then once she learned she can bounce, she got off, hugged Mommy then Daddy, kissed the zebra, then got back on, and continued to bounce. Her words this week were: "okay", "outside", "princess", "slide", "zebra" & "Amanda" (one of her lil friends)
Gianna was so overwhelmed with halloween and she loved it! Last friday our stroller strides had a party for all the kids, with mini trick or treat, a lil parade, cookie decorating and pumkin bowling! Gianna had a blast. Sunday we went to Nonna & Papa Glen's house. Gianna got to help daddy carve a pumpkin. She loved sticking her hands inside and pulling out the seeds. Then, Last night we went out to Papa & Nonie's house to trick or treat. We went to the mall again, and Gianna loved walking around, holding out her lil bucket and saying "trick or treat". She also thanked almost every person who gave her candy. She is so polite! Of course she did get tired of walking and had Papa hold her. She also had a great time emptying her bucket of candy with Papa. Gianna is so girly. She loves chapstick, mommy's shoes, bracelets, and necklaces. Her words this week were: "idea", "patty"(as in patty cake, she also does roll it & pat it), "Austin", and "blast off"
Gianna loves to twirl. When she hears music she goes to the open part of the kitchen and twirls. Its too cute. We have had a very busy weekend and week so far. On saturday morning we went to Hunter's 4th bday party at Incredible Jon's Pizza. Gianna got to see almost all her Mommy group friends. Its nice to see them on the weekends =) Then later that night we went to Auntie Jo's 30th bday party in long beach. Gianna had a blast playing with her cousin Ollie. All night she called her name and ran after every time she saw her. She missed her best friend. Sunday was a day for errands. We went to the grocery store, target & Tom's farms. It was also a day to clean. Mommy & Daddy cleaned the house to get ready for the Mommy group halloween party on monday morning. Monday was the party and the kids had the time of their lives. Gianna loved seeing her friends wearing costumes. She wanted to wear her duck costume all day. We had lots of good food and some fun desserts. We cant wait for next year =) Then today we went to the pumpkin patch again. This time was with our MOPS group. Tony & his lil sister Amanda were there and we got to play on the bounce houses, the atv rides & Gianna's favorite the petting zoo. She even was hugging the goat! haha Gianna's words this week are: "tickle", "really", "color", "Hunter" She loves saying "I tickle you", and "I color"
Well Gianna had her 18 month appt a month late. She weighs 24 lbs and is 31 1/2 in. She is in the 50% for both height & weight. We thought she was all done with her shots last appointment, but nope. Gianna had 2 more shots left. We also got her a flu shot. Maybe she wont get too sick, being around all the kids that she does. Gianna loves hugging. She loves to hug her friends in our mommy group & stroller strides. It gets alittle crazy when she finds another hug lover. They end up hugging till they fall over. haha We have been working on the ABC's with Gianna. She cant say them by herself, but she will repeat almost every letter I tell her. She does know a few letters at a time. She knows that F comes after E and N comes after M. She is so smart.
October 11th- Mommy group trip to the pumpkin patch Today our Mommy group visited the pumpkin patch! Gianna had a wonderful time hanging out with all her friends. She has been anxious to play with her friend Emma. For the past few days as soon as you get G out of bed she will say, "Play Emma". Well she did, she even wanted to hug her and hold her hand the whole time. She also got to feed the goats, play in the jump house, and we all went to Coco's for lunch. Its crazy to ask for a table for 14. 6 Adults & 8 kids =) Gianna has been a babbling fool. She wants to make her sentances so clear. Usually out of the 5 words she will say, we will catch 2. She loves trying to say new words. She is getting better at using the ones she knows, and putting them all together. She loves to play & say "peekaboo". Her words this week are: "oh no", "I play", "stroller", "Maia", she also thinks everthing is "pretty" She also now knows where her feet & hair are.
Well since last week was so busy we spent this week taking it easy. We hung out with Dada for a morning at Target. She wanted an elmo costume, but since we bought her a duck one last month I dont think she needs 2! She loves dressing up. Auntie Julie bought her a barbie princess dress and a feather boa and she is so cute in it. Then today we went to church with Nonie & Papa, and took a shopping trip to Ikea. Last week mommy started going to a MOPS group. Its a Mommy group at our local church where Gianna gets to spend some time with other kids, while the Mommies get to spend time with other Mommies. She did so well in the nursery. She ran right off to play and didnt look back. It was her first time at a nursery and the teacher said she was such a good girl. Mommy was proud, but sad at the same time. Gianna's words of the week are: "bear", "tree", "nail", & "Mommy"
Yesterday we went out to Los Angeles to celebrate Great Aunt Jo & Great Aunt Fran's bday party. Gianna loved hanging with Nonna and her cousins. She got to see their new puppy and she kept calling it dodger. Then today we went Katie's baby shower. Gianna had a great time running around and yelling with Emma. Gianna is excited that Emma is going to have a little brother. Her Mommy, Katie is due in december and his name is going to be Brady. Then we went to Gianna's cousin Maia's first birthday party. Gianna got to hang out with her Nonie & Papa and also her best friend Ollie. They are already causing trouble. They wanted all of Maia's new things and both were trying put Maia's shoes on. It was so cute. They were so sneaky about it. When we found them they were saying "shoes". Her new words this week were: "owie", "yucky", "good girl", and "snack"
September 10th- Our little girl! Gianna is growing up way too fast. She loves to dress up and wear Mama's shoes. Especially the high heels. We bought her some of her own "barbie" play heels, they are way to big but she LOVES them. She will bring them to Mama to put on her all the time. She loves stepping into them. Its way too cute. She continues to amaze us daily with how much she is learning. She is working on saying "good morning" with dada. She is getting pretty close!
Mommy was a little sick last week so we werent able to do much. Gianna has been having fun staying home and playing in her playroom or the backyard. She also has been talking lots. She loves to watch little einsteins and saying "pat, pat, pat" they do when they want to blast off! Its so cute. Then the other day she was looking at a an old picture of our dog dodger, and called him "baby dodger". She is so smart. She also sings "if your happy and you know it". It comes out "happy, happy, happy". Her other words this week were: Ross(uncle), Emma, juice, one, two, and she can repeat the ABC's up until J
August 27th- Ahhh running is not fun. Gianna has been really running fast these days. She has fell a few times and got some pretty good sized bumps on her lil head. She is getting better, but she wants to jet down the halls all the time!!! She is getting crazy and wanting to climb up on everything. We bought Gianna a new "baby". Its a newborn cabbage patch with a lil carseat carrier. She loves to hold it like a purse and give her a "baba" Now when we go out and Gianna hears a child crying she always says "baby" She has also learned how to say "Elmo" she just started one day =) Her other words of the week are "grapes", "eggs", "auntie", "kitty", "blue", "coke", "map", & "blankie"
Gianna did so well on our fishing/camping trip. We left at 3:45 in the morning, and Gianna decided she didnt want to miss out on anything and stayed up till we got there at 10am. She had a wonderful time hanging out with Gramps & Grams in Mammoth. We skipped fishing one day and took Gianna on the Sky gondolas. They were so high up, but Gianna loved it. There were also some beautiful views, Gianna found little pond when we were way up high and said pool wawa. =) Three days later we drove an hour away to Bishop to hang out with the whole family. Gianna got many stroller rides from Daddy's younger cousins. She loves the outdoors. We even took her to the pond and she didnt even try to jump in. We let her pick out some new shoes to make a mess of when we got there and she picked Elmo ones. She calls Elmo "Ata" Its pretty funny. She also now calls her Uncle Robb, Apple Robb. Gianna went to her friend Julia's first bday in LA yesterday. It was at the American Girl doll store cafe. It was too cute with the all the black, white and hot pink. Gianna had chicken strips with cut out hears and starts fruit & cheese. She really enjoyed all the girly lil things. Gianna has been so smart lately. The other day she ate all her fruit snacks, but the orange ones. Then ate those. She also has learned the difference between hot and cold, and says both words. She still cant say Auntie Julies name. If you ask her where Julie is, she puts up her arm and says "Le". Gianna also now REALLY loves to sing. She sings mommys cd of the wreckers. She loves when the song "My Oh My" comes on. It also says baby in the lyrics and she sings it after they say it. She walks around the house singing "la, la, la" Her new words this week are: peepee, car, baby, Chaz(Uncle), Nonie, and "see". Also if you ask her if she wants to go see Nonie she will put up her arm and say "bout Papa"?
Another busy week, last week. Monday & Wednesday was our stroller stride class & playgroup. Tuesday we went to the movies and saw "Veggie Tales". Thursday we went to a childrens play center called Alakazoom with our mommy group, friday Gianna & Mommy went to the circus, saturday we all went to a family picnic, and sunday we went to the fair! The fun just didnt stop! Gianna loved the circus. We sat 4 rows back and Gianna got up pretty close to her favorite animal the elephant. She made elephant sounds when she would see them. She also started calling them "ella-ella"s. Its so cute. She also starting using the word "cool". She points at things and says cool. She knows where her belly button, eyes and nose are. Tomorrow we head out to the Sierra's for our annual fishing/camping trip! I will make sure to post pics as soon as we get back!
Gianna is learning so many new words. This week her favorite words were "pretty" and "play". She likes to point at flowers and say pretty. Or if I ask her if she wants to go outside she will say play. She loves to sing. The other day while swimming at Nonna's house we were singing "Apples and Bananas". Gianna then started saying "app-poo and nana" It was actually Nana and App-poos haha. She is also putting 2 words together. Yesterday she pointed outside and said "play wawa", because she wanted to go play in the pool. We had a nice weekend. On friday we hung out with the playgroup at Chick fil-a. The kids got to play on the playground and we all had lunch. It was alot of fun. Gianna loves her playgroup friends. Saturday we went over to the Salch House for dinner. Gianna had a wonderful time playing with her friends Kaelyn and Hunter. Gianna was so excited that at dinner time she got to sit next to Hunter. I think our lil girl has her first crush. We also started stroller strides with Nicole and her kids Anthony and Amanda. Gianna is such a good girl while on our jogs. Its probably because I have to wake her up to go!
July 18th- 16 month appt Today Gianna had her 15 month appt a month late =) Since we were moving we had to find another pediatrician. We found a place only 1 freeway exit away. They were wonderful. They all loved Gianna and gushed about how beautiful she was. Of course they all loved her hair. Its is getting so long now, we can put it in pigtail braids. Gianna weighs a whopping 21 lbs 6 oz. She is 32 in long. They said she is a tall skinny lil gal. She is 25% for weight and 90% for height. She really is a little sponge. She is learning so much and is just so smart. At the Dr office today she found tissue and started to wipe her own nose. If you are looking at pictures, (or when I am updating her website) she will see pictures of herself and reconize herself. If you say "who is that?" she will raise her hand and say "me"! The other day Gianna was going through her toy box to find her John Deere barn toys, and she found the right ones to use for her little ride on. If you lift the seat it has little slots to make the animals make noises. She is just so smart! Her new words this week are, "thank you" & "cracker"
July 12th- This has been a busy week for Gianna Not only did we go to the zoo on Sunday, but yesterday we went to the movies again. We saw Cliffords big movie. It was alot of fun. Nicole and her kids and Bren and her kids also were there. Gianna got to play by the fountain and walk around the before the movie. Once again she didnt last the whole time, but really enjoyed it. Then today Gianna went to Raging waters. It was her first time to a water park and she LOVED it. Love isnt even the word. She held my hand and led me around all morining. She loved walking in the pools (they were only 1 ft), and playing on the water playground. We spent 4 hours there and she was such a good lil girl. She only slept for a half an hour on the way home, but when I tried to put her in her crib, all she wanted to say was "wawa" and "pool". I cant wait to take her again. Friday we are going to chuck e cheese with our Mommy group.
This weekend sure has been busy! Friday we had to go to a funeral for Papa Aguilar's friend. Then friday night Grams and Great Grandma Williams came over to have dinner and hang out with Gianna. Grams got Gianna some new books and she loves her new Little Mermaid book. Probably because on her new tv, when she turns up the volume the little mermaid swims across. Gianna is loving talking these days. She picks up new words almost daily. When she wants something to drink now she just makes the sound "Ahhhh"(the sound you make when you really enjoy a drink) haha~ On Saturday we went to cousin Ethan's 11th bday at Boomer's fun center. Gianna loved hanging out with her cousin Ollie. Or as Gianna likes to call her "Ollie-ah" its so cute. Now when she sees little girls she yells "Ollie-ah". Gianna then spent the night at Nonie's house while Mommy, Daddy, Uncle William and Auntie Julie went to the Casino for a concert.
Gianna loves music. We bought her the Jack Johnson "Curious George" CD and she loves it. She loves to sway back and forth when its on. She also loves to sing. She also loves to dance to fast music, too! She shakes her little butt. Its so cute. Also today she was playing with her animal/shape sorter and everytime we would clap and cheer for her she would say "I did it!"
Also this week Gianna has learned 2 more words. They are "shoe" and "pool". We bought her a new plastic elephant pool that connects to the hose and shoots up water. It really makes her want to get in the pool. I am glad she is loving water because it sure is hot here! Today we had a playdate with her friends Kaelyn & Hunter. They played in the playroom and Gianna had a great time sharing her things. Gianna loves to look at books. She goes in her playroom, sits next to her bookshelf and looks at all the books. The other day she was even jibbering some words while looking. She loves to sit and do things. It started with us giving her, her toothbrush and telling her to sit down while she brushes. Now if she is reading she sits down. She even gets ahold of picture frames and sits down to point and look at who is in the picture. She is such a sweet lil gal.
