Today we went to free kid movie morning at our local theatre. We saw Curious George. Gianna just loved it. Though she didnt last the whole time, she had a great time laughing when all the other kids thought the movie was funny. We think we are going to try it again next week! Gianna is such a positive lil gal. She loves to shake her head yes and say "ya" all the time. I am so glad she likes "yes" alot better than "no". Gianna has also started to show a little interest in the potty. She is getting to be such a big girl.
Today Mommy turned 25. Daddy got her a porch swing and Auntie Julie put it together. We then all relaxed and enjoyed the day in our backyard. Gianna loved playing in her lil blow up pool and sandbox. The dogs are constantly following her around and love to sit in the sand with her. She tries to pick them up and throw them out. She is so silly. She has also been so great with eating. She loves everything. With the exception of milk. She will not drink milk at all. She takes one sip out of her cup and will throw it on the ground. She makes up for it with all that she eats though. Its also so adorable, when you ask Gianna "Where's Dada?" She will lift her hands and shrug her shoulders as to say I dont know. Its too cute.
Friday we moved into our new house. Gianna loves walking around and exploring her new place. Her room is all unpacked we just have to work on her playroom. Gianna spent her first night away from Mommy. She spent the night at Nonies while we got ready to move the next day. Gianna was alittle sick last week. Just another springtime sickness. She is almost all better and back to running us around like crazy. Last thursday we went to the Long Beach Aquarium with our Mommy group. It was soo much fun. She got to hang out with her regular crew, and her new friend Garrett. She also got to hang out with him, and his Mommy Jennifer last weekend when we went to the swap meet. Gianna loves having a lil boy her age to hang out with.
Gianna is getting to be so loving. She loves to give kisses and put her lil head on our shoulders. She still is loving saying "Dada". She now likes to flip through our photo albums, and point out "Dada" and "Papa". Yesterday she was patting Bryan and said "Dada, Dada, My Dada" It was the cutest. She has also learned how to say "more" in sign language. She loves how we know what she is saying =) Our little girl is soo smart. Just like her Dada.
On friday Gianna had a pretty high fever and a runny nose. We thought it could be teething since she is getting her 2nd molar. Well we took her to the dr who said she just has a sprintime sickness. We stayed home all weekend, and now she is all better. We did have her weighed and she is 20 lbs 13oz. Our lil peanut is getting so big. Her favorite thing to do these days is to play with her animal sounds book. She loves to make the elephant sound. She puckers up her lil lips and puts her head back when making the noise. Its too funny =) We found out, that we move into our new house May 20th. Things are going to start getting really busy!!
Saturday night we went to a Dodger vs Giants game with Daddy, Uncle Ross, Cousin matt and some of Daddy's friends. Gianna loved sitting in the seats and taking it all in. She was a trooper. We didnt get home till 11pm and she didnt even mind. Then Sunday morning we woke up early to head out to Church in Anaheim. Gianna didnt want to sit there so Mommy and her walked around front, right by the Donut and OJ table =) We then headed out to Nana's house in Riverside. Gianna hung out with her cousins Ollie and Maia and had a great time. She really enjoyed walking around the backyard looking for eggs. From there we were off to Los Angeles to celebrate with Daddy's side of the family. Gianna got some great gifts from Nonna & Aunt Fran. Tomorrow we are going to the park for our Mommy group. Gianna loves all the kids and getting out to play! We cant wait!
Finally after 6 months we got an offer on our condo. Daddy went to sign the papers and escrow starts on Monday. We better start looking for a place. Gianna cant wait to have a backyard so she can chase the doggies around. We are all very excited. Thank you God!!!
Gianna sure does love to talk now. Her new favorite words are "hot" and "Papa". She learned Papa on her own. Now when she sees my dad she right away says Papa. It is so cute! When she sees candles she points and says hot. So now she walks around pointing saying hot, hi and ball haha
April 6th-Our new Mommy Group So Mommy and some of her friends started their own mommy group and today was their first meetup. It was lots of fun. We went to Chuck E Cheese. Gianna loved hanging out with the girls Emma, Maia and Kaelyn. She also had a great time with the boys Hunter and Anthony. We went on some fun rides and ate pizza. It was so nice letting Gianna walk around and explore. We all had a wonderful time. We look forward to next week. We are going to the Bubble Fest at the science center! We cant wait!
March 27th- Gianna is doing great with her walking. She is getting alittle too confident, she now is trying to run! She of course falls down, but she doesnt care she is having a great time. She has been a little cranky lately. She is teething alot these days. She doesnt have many teeth, but she will soon. She has her 2 bottom teeth, and her left eye tooth. She is getting her right eye tooth, her left front tooth, and her 1 year old molar! We can kind of see her right front tooth also =) She loves to brush her teeth.
March 22nd-Gianna's 1 year checkup Yesterday Gianna had her one year check up! She weighs 19lbs 13oz and is 29 1/2 inches long. Our baby is getting sooo big. Her new favorite word is "hi". She says it all the time. Also if you say hello, she will put her fake phone up to her ear. She is still such a great sleeper. She goes to sleep around 5:30-6 and wakes up around 7:30-8 the next day! She loves being in her bed especially if she has her favorite blanket.
March 15th- Gianna is mobile! Yup you heard it here first..Gianna Belle is WALKING!! Mommy held out her arms and Gianna just took off. She was doing maybe 1-3 steps last week, but now she is letting go on her own and taking 9-10 steps. She doesnt have to stop, but she likes falling on her butt! Look out world Gianna Belle is on the loose!
March 11th-Gianna's Birthday party Today was Gianna's first birthday party. Even with the rain it was a success. Nonna had it at her house and its a good thing she has a big house. It was freezing that day! I think we picked the coldest day of the year in California. It was alot of fun. Gianna was such a good girl all day. She loved seeing all her family and friends. We had a great turnout dispite the weather. Almost 60 people! She got so many great presents. She is going to be one well dressed gal when the summer comes. She also loves all her new toys. She loves her Knows your name Elmo and laughs when it says "Gianna".
March 9th-Gianna Belle is One Year Old!! Today our baby G turned 1. We woke up early and headed out to Anaheim to get her pictures taken. They turned out so cute! They took some of her eating her first cake and boy did she love it!! Later that night we all went out to dinner at The Rainforest Cafe in downtown disney. It was alot of fun. Lots of people came to celebrate Gianna. There was Grandpa, Nonie, Gramps, Grams, Uncle William, Auntie Kitty & her boyfriend Eric, Auntie Sharon & her boyfriend Garrett, Auntie Julie, and Great Grandma Williams. Gianna got to open presents from Gramps and Grams. She got a beautiful rocking horse and lots of other things. She got a cute dress, cowboy boots, 2 hats, an adorable shirt that says "Daddy's Little Cowgirl", a cute skirt with matching shirt and dora stuff! Gianna loved her rocking horse. We cant believe our baby is already 1.
March 2nd- One more week Our little girl will be 1 next week! Today was her orginal due date, and it seems so crazy that she has grown so much in just a year. The pregnancy took forever, but now time is just flying by! Yesterday we had a great lunch date with Mommy's friend Katie and her adorable daughter Emma. We went to red robin and walked around the mall. Gianna just loved Emma, and cant wait to hang out with her more. Oh I almost forgot Gianna took 3 unassisted steps on Sunday. She is getting close!
February 24th- Gianna had a great time at disneyland Yesterday we took Gianna to her first disneyland trip. It was lots of fun! Daddy got the day off! Mommy, Auntie Sharon, Auntie Julie and Auntie Julies sister Laura all went too. Her first ride was its a small world and she just loved it. She didnt like the carousel too much, and seemed to enjoy Snow white. She only stayed for the first half of the day and spent the rest of the day at Nonie and Grandpas house so Mommy and Daddy could hang out till it closed. Tonight we are going to dinner for Uncle Jeff's 31st birthday! Gianna cant wait to see her best firend Ollie.
February 21st-Just another sweet thing Gianna did Gianna is feeling alot better. We hope she will be all better by Thursday since we are going to Disneyland!! Mommy is almost better but still has a little cough. Today while Mommy was coughing and holding Gianna, Gianna started to pat Mommy's back to help her through her coughing =) It was the sweetest thing. I always pat her back when she is choking, and she remembered. She is the best!
February 14th- 11 months old February sure is a busy month for us! We have had 5 birthdays already! With open houses and parties we are busy all weekend! It finally caught up with her. Yesterday Gianna had a running nose. Now today she has a little cough, a fever, and she threw up. Our poor baby. Daddy went to North Carolina for training the whole week. We sure do miss him. Auntie Julie and Mommy have been working hard on helping Gianna start walking. (not too much we just hold our arms out for her when she stands alone) Mommy has also been busy planning Gianna's first birthday party!
January 31st-Gianna is learning so many new things Gianna just loves to babble and is saying some new words. While of course they arent perfected Gianna now says,"Dodger" after our other doggy, and "Pablo" after her favorite stuffed toy and character from her favorite show the Backyardigans. Yesterday she figured out how to open her drawers, and was pulling all of her clothes out of the ones she can reach. She is getting into everything. Daddy has also been working on teaching Gianna how to blow out a candle. So she can do it for her first birthday!! Mommy and Auntie Julie hae been doing some house hunting, while Daddy had been doing open houses for our condo. Sunday we looked at 6 houses, but didnt find one we really loved. Gianna through us off alittle, and cut her finger and blood was everywhere!!! After that we werent too interested in looking anymore. She is fine now and only acts like it is hurt if we have a bandaid on it. She is such a tough, smart lil gal!
