January 25, 2006-Once again Gianna rocks Gianna learned to drink from a straw. Mommy went out and bought a little mermaid cup with a straw. She loves it!
January 20th-Gianna is on her way Yup Gianna is on her way to walking! Not only did she let go of the table and take a step the other day, but she is letting to of everything. Yesterday Daddy, Auntie Julie and Mommy were all playing in her room with her, and while we were taking we noticed that Gianna had let go of Auntie Julie and stood there for a good amount of time. She also grabs her toys and is getting alot more graceful on getting down from standing. Gianna is also finally saying "Mama" and started to shake her head "NO" yesterday. Our little girl is just so smart!
January 17th- Gianna loves field trips! Since Auntie Sharon is home schooled, we now take field trips on Mondays. A few weeks ago we went to the Richard Nixon Library and it just so happened to be his birthday =) Then yesterday we all went to the Natural history museum in Los Angeles. It was Mommy, Uncle William, Nonie, and Aunites Julie, Kitty and Sharon. (Daddy came too just for a little while)We had so much fun..Gianna liked to crawl around the open area where all th fake animals were. She also loved that Uncle William wanted to hold her the whole time. **Update** Tonight Gianna let go of the coffee table and took a step..Hey its a start!!
January 15th- Gianna's new word So Gianna now says another word..Is it "Uh-oh", nope...Is it "no"...nope its "Prada", I guess she just really loves our little doggy Prada. Either that or she already has expensive taste like her Mom =) She is getting so big. Even though she is pretty small, people always think she older than she really is. We are thinking its the hair. Not many of her friends have as much as her. It makes her look like a big girl. =( She is growing up way to fast. We decided to put some things in storage while we sell the condo, so we went through her closet. (Not an easy task) She had so many 0-6 months clothes it filled 2 boxes! She does still fit in her 0-3 month onesies though. Today we went looking at houses, and to Emma's first birthday party. It was so nice to see Emma and her Mommy Katie. Who knows, maybe we will live on their street and get to have play dates all the time =)
January 6th 2006- Almost 10 months!! Yup Gianna will be 10 months on Monday! She is the coolest baby ever. Nonnie taught her how to make kissing sounds and she does it so cute. She is loving all her new toys from christmas. She loves to ring the doorbell on her learning house, and pushing her ride on is one of her favorite things to do. All her friends are starting to turn 1. Cousin Katelynn will be 1 tomorrow, and her friend Emma will be 1 on the 20th. Gianna is looking forward to Emmas party next week.
December 31st- 2006 ALREADY!! Wow, where did 2005 go? It all went by so fast. 2006 is going to be just as busy as 2005. We have so many trips planned next year. Hawaii, Washington, our fishing trip, 2 Vegas trips. Well Mommy is going to have to learn to be at least a few nights away from Gianna. She will be going too, just not to Vegas. Yesterday was Grandpa Aguilar's 50th birthday. We went to one of his favorite restraunts Puffy Taco. It was Gianna's first time, and it wont be her last. She is alittle sick still and has been sleeping the days away. She is waking up at 8 then going to sleep till 10-10:30, then taking a nap at 12 till 2 or 3. We miss her. We dont get anytime with her anymore. She is hilarious. She is starting to give you 5(Uncle Ross taught her), and blowing kisses. She is also turning into a little flirt. She loves to get peoples attention at restraunts. Gianna also loves blondes and guys. Look out Daddy, your going to have your hands full!! We were going to take Gianna to spend the night at Nonie's tonight, but with the rain and having to drive there tomorrow we think its better to keep her home. We are having a few people over for some drinks, game and food. You know how we like to be home and safe for new years and ring it in with a few of our loved ones =) Happy New Year everyone!
Dec 26th- Gianna's first christmas. Our christmas festivities started friday night with Gramps and Grams. We had a nice time all hanging out and playing with Gianna. They got a her a cute light up toy and a gift card to buy more stuff. They also started her a college fund. You never can start too early! We also went down the street to the stables and saw horses. Gianna loved looking at them, she didnt want to touch them though. After that we had a nice dinner at claim jumper. Gianna does so well at restraunts. This kid just cant get enough food! She will eat just about anything. She is just like her Daddy. Saturday Gianna was not feeling well. Not only is she cutting 4 teeth, but she seems to have a little cold. She did pretty well at Nana's house though. She got 2 naps in, but was asleep while we had our little program. She missed all the carol singing too, but she of course will have lots more christmas' to experience that. She got some cute stuffed animals from her Nana and Great Aunties. She also got a really sweet shadow box made by her Great Auntie Nina! Mommy's cousin Corrie also announced she is getting married in October. We are so happy for her. Sunday morning we woke up when Gianna did at 8:30. She was so tired and sick, she wasnt too happy about opening presents. Then alittle while later we tried again. She loved her singing backyardigans, and her stride to ride walker thing. Man she is so good at walking with that thing. It amazed us. She is such a bright little girl. We also got her the Learning house, and some cute books. After getting ready we headed over to Nonie and Grandpa's house. Everyone was there, but Uncle William. He went to go visit cousin Katelynn(we missed him). Gianna got to play with cousin Ollie, while Mommy and Auntie Jo opeded their presents for them. She got some adorable Ralph Lauren shirts, the dress and dance Dora the Explorer, an adorable sweater and hat from Auntie Kittly, and a few other Dora toys. She loved them all. We only hung out for a little while, because we needed to head out to Nonna's and Glen's house. Nonna got her an adorable build-a-bear with a cute ballerina outfit. It also has a message recorded with Nonna's voice. Which makes it extra special. She also got some adorable little things from Uncle Robby, and a gift card from Uncle Ross. She loved being at the table with the family in her high chair and eating potatoes. She had a wonderful christmas. 2005 has been a busy, but glorious year. God has blessed us abundantly! Hope everyone's christmas was as wonderful as ours, and Happy birthday Jesus!
December 21st- Only 4 days till Christmas!! All Gianna wanted for Christmas was her two front teeth, but we will settle for the bottom two =) They are waiting to make an appearance. We can feel them, and see them alittle. She has been drooling like crazy, I guess we can pull out the millions of bibs she has. She is not a bad teether though, she has been in such a great mood. We had a busy weekend. We went to Aunt Jo's house for cookie decorating. Gianna had such a great time. We all did. On monday night Nonie, Uncle William, Auntie Sharon and Grandpa (Auntie Kitty was sick)all watched Gianna while Mommy and Daddy went to Daddys work christmas dinner. It was nice to not have any interuptions during dinner, but we sure did miss her. She is getting around quite fast these days. She is no longer army crawling, and wants to cruise around on everything!
December 12th- 9 months already Today we took Gianna to her 9 month appointment. She actually lost a little weight from a few weeks ago. She is 17 lbs 5 oz, she is 27 1/2 inches long. She is pretty little she is in the 25-50% percentile for both height and weight. Well its not like Mommy and Daddy are going to join the NBA any time soon =)We had a great weekend. Friday night we went out and got our first christmas tree! (we didnt get one while in NC) We wanted to Gianna to be up to decorate, so we did that saturday morning. She was so excited when we plugged the lights in. Saturday night we hung out with the Hebards and went to Auntie Jo's christmas party. It was at the childrens museum in Pasedena. It was cold, but it was lots of fun. Tonight Daddy took Gianna to see santa at the mall. He said she did great and everyone thought she was so adorable. Gianna is doing great with her crawling. She occasionally army crawls to hurry and catch the dogs, but now is loving to be up on her knees. She loves to stand. She is so good at puling herself up. The doctor said she has nice strong legs just might be an early walker.
December 5th-Busy times!! Gianna and Mommy sure have been busy this past week. We are almost finished christmas shopping! We also took Gianna on friday for her holiday/9 mo pictures. She did not want to smile. She was too busy playing with the props. We got a few cute pictures, but we are going to a different mall to take some tomorrow. Mommy needs Auntie Julie to come help. We need one person to watch her to make sure she doesnt crawl off, and one to make her laugh =) Gianna is loving the holiday season. We have passed by Santa few times, but havent taken her to see him since Daddy would love to be there. We arent too worried about her reaction. Her Grandpa Aguilar has a nice long beard too =) She also seems to like the christmas lights, and we cant wait to take her to see the ones off Sapphire. Gianna is also doing much better now, and her thrush is gone. Her rash almost cleared up overnight! She is back loving life and being the sweet, adorable little girl that we love so very much!P.S. Gianna has learned to wave hello now too, and sometimes we can get her to say HI!
November 28th- My poor baby Today we took Gianna to the doctor since her rash was not getting better. We found out she has thrush. My poor baby. I am so glad she will be all better soon. We did get to have her weighed. She is now 17 lbs 10oz. She hated waiting for the doctor to come in, but was so good when the doctor was checking her out.
November 25th- Uh oh here we go.. Guess who is pulling up to standing, cruising and crawling??? Yup Gianna Belle finally pulled her knees in and crawled normal. No more army crawling for her!(ok still a little) Nonna wanted to see her army crawl, and she wanted to show her something different. We had a great thanksgiving. Gianna sure enjoyed sharing her new toys(oops some of her presents came early) with her cousin Ollie. She cant wait till her cousin Maia can get down and play too!! Gianna is such a good baby. She hardly ever cries. She is not much of a napper. She will sleep all night (5:30-9) but other than that she doesnt really want to sleep. She can fit in a nap sometimes, sometimes maybe two, but its rare. Its ok, more time to hang out with Mommy, and her doggies. Mommys favorite thing Gianna does is wave bye bye to her crib in the morning. She knows she wont see it for a while.
November 22nd- So many new and fun things!! It seems like as soon as Gianna turned 8 months all the fun began. Along with her waving, clapping, saying baba, and bye bye. She is now pulling up to standing and saying Dada. She still isnt crawling, but she does get around quite fast by her army crawling. She does go to the crawl postition but then kicks her legs out to go on her tummy. She is amazing. We cant believe how big and smart she is getting. We also had to lower her crib mattress and she now takes a bath in her bigger blow up ducky instead of the sink. Our baby girl is growing up way too fast!!
November 12th- Gianna's first trip to the zoo Today Mommy, Daddy and Uncle Ross all headed for the Los Angeles zoo. Gianna had a great time looking at new animals. She likes to wave to them =) I think her favorite was the flamingos. I think she might like pink as much as her mommy. Uh oh Daddy might have 2 girly girls at home. We will post new pics soon!
November 11th-Auntie Kitty's last football game Today we went to her game. It was the last one she will be cheering in. She was so beautiful. We are going to miss watching her. We also hung out at Grandpa & Nonie's house all day. Gianna has such a great time with all of them. She also started waving =) Nonie told her bye-bye and she just started waving away. We are enjoying all her new accomplishments. She rocks our world =)
November 9th- Gianna is 8 months old Wow only 4 more months and she will be "1"!! Gianna is loving life. She still isnt crawling, but she scoots everywhere and just started getting up on her knees. Its funny because she doesnt like to be held, but she doesnt like to be put down. She loves to cruise around the couch, and follow the dogs. She also is getting pro at her sippy cup. Although she prefers the ones without handles. She loves to drink water out of it. Still no sign of any teeth, but Gianna loves to eat cheerios. Her favorite thing to do in the morning is to watch "The backyardigans", eat cheerios, and drink out of her sippy cup. She also says "baba" when we tell her to!
November 2nd-Gianna is the coolest. Today Gianna started clapping! She sure is growing up fast. She is loving getting to try new foods. She loves when Mommy makes her green beans. She also really likes fruit & veggie puffs. I think she likes picking them up more than eating them though. She still isnt crawling yet. She army crawls pretty much everywhere in her room. She doesnt like to be on her stomach in the living room because of the hardwood floors. =( Gianna also LOVES watching the show "The Backyardigans". She smiles as soon as she hears the song start! Time is flying by, I cant believe she is going to be 8 months next week!
October 31st-Gianna's first Halloween Mommy and Auntie Julie took me to the mall and went trick or treating. It was so fun to see other kids in costumes. Gianna just stared at everything. We didnt take her around the neighborhood, because she was so tired. The minute we put her in the car she fell asleep. We cant wait till next year when she will be walking! She was a panda bear especially for Nonna, she is the cutest one you will ever see!
Oct 19th-Gianna's first time to the pumpkin patch. Today we took Gianna to the pumpkin patch. She had a good time looking at touching all the pumpkins. We went with Grandpa, Nonie, Daddy, Mommy, Auntie Julie and Auntie Sharon. We got a few cute pictures. We also starting putting Gianna in her new convertible car seat. She really likes it. She likes that she is higher up and gets to sit up more. Gianna is also loving solids. Her favorite is green beans. We are enjoying every moment with our little cheeseburger, she lights up our lives.
October 16th-Hunters 3rd birthday Party On Saturday we all went to the Artic fun zone for Hunters birthday. They had inflatable slides, bounce houses, obstacle courses and inflatable rock climbing walls. Gianna couldnt really do much, but Daddy and Auntie Kitty sure had a great time. We also spent last Monday-Wednesday at Nonie and Grandpas house. They went to Vegas for their 25th anniversary. Gianna loved hanging out with her Aunties and Uncle William. Gianna also has been scooting around alot. She can get pretty much where ever she wants. If there is a toy there. She will not just scoot for nothing. Yesterday we bought little "cheeseburger"(Gianna) a toy car that we can push her on. She just loves it. We put some stickers on it to personalize it. She is getting so big. I cant believe our little girl is already 7 months, where does the time go?
