Oct 1st- Great Aunt Nina's birthday party Today we went to Riverside for the Birthday Party. Gianna loved being held by all her family. She also got to meet her newest cousin Maia Nicole, Gianna sure is going to have alot of friends that are girls..That is all people are having these days. Speaking of friends we got Gianna and her cousin Ollie (her best friend =) pictures taken together. They are so cute. Gianna is getting so big so fast. She is starting to get into the crawl position, but rather be sitting down. She also has no desire to pull herself up to standing. For now I think she is pretty content and might just skip crawling and go straight to walking. We had a nice week. Mommy got to see 2 of her old high school friends and Gianna just loved meeting them. We also had another play date with Mommy's friend Brenda and her little girl Kaelin and son Hunter. We might get to see them more now that Daddy is looking at houses by them. It will be nice to be closer to almost all are family. Right now it is pretty far and we dont get to see everyone as much as we would like. We are meeting with a realtor tomorrow to look at houses. We cant wait!!(P.s. only sad thing is we are further away from Jeff, Jo, Ethan, and Gianna's best friend Ollie. We love hanging out with them, and will miss them so much)
Gianna is such a good baby. She sleeps so well at night and hardly ever cries. She goes to bed at 7pm and is starting to sleep until 8-9am. She is starting to prefer being held by Mommy. Even though Mommy loves it when Gianna puts her arms out to be held. We are almost all formula fed. Except for morning and night feedings. Gianna also is loving solids. I think Pears are her favorite. We put together her highchair that Nonna got her, (Ok Auntie Julie put it together)and Gianna just loves being in it. We also had a nice weekend. We drove out to Cousin Elaina's 1st birthday in San Diego. She was so adorable and I think Gianna was jealous that she got to eat cake. Gianna also had a nice time hanging out with cousins Christy and Sarah.
Today Gianna had her 6 month appointment. She weighs 15 pounds and is 26 inches. We got the green light to start solids. Gianna is now fitting some of her 6-9 month clothes. She is also sitting up so well unassisted. She is almost pro at it.We also took Gianna to her first high school football game last night. She enjoyed watching her Auntie Kitty cheer, but didnt like to hear the actual cheers.
We flew to San Francisco for Daddy's sales conference. Gianna did so good on the way there. We had a good time seeing some of the old North Carolina crew. She didnt too to well on the way back though. We sat on the plane for too long after we landed. All in all we had a nice time spending time as a family.
August 24th-Gianna is so sweet I just wanted to say Gianna is the sweetest. She has taught herself to give Mommy kisses. She grabs Mommy's face with 2 hands and just lays it on her. Daddy doesnt believe us since he has been working late and gets home after she is sleeping, but she does it!
Gianna has been sitting with her boppy around her and almost doesnt need it anymore. She also is loving her hands again and grabbing everything. We tried her on a little rice cereal the other day. I think we will wait for everyday servings when she is 6 month like her doctor wants. She did like eating with a spoon. I think we are going to start gradually giving her formula, even though I know she will miss the breastmilk =) Gianna has also been working on catching up with her cousin Ollie who is already crawling at 6 months!! Ollie also pulls herself up and I think Gianna is taking notes. She still loves her crib and is now sleeping 12 hours a night. Quite a change from waking up every 3 hours just a few weeks ago. This next weekend will be Gianna's first plane ride. We are going to San Francisco for Daddy's business trip, so we get to see all our old North Carolina friends who last saw me pregnant. We are all so excited.
Yesterday Gianna turned 5 months. It was also Mommy and Daddy's 2 year anniversary. Auntie Julie babysat Gianna and had such a good time. Gianna is doing some fun things. She loves to smile at Mommy and Daddy all the time. She also was taught how to blow raspberries by Auntie Kitty. Also for the best news...Gianna is FINALLY sleeping through the night. She goes down around 7:30-8:30pm and wakes up around 7-8am. I guess she just really likes her crib. This week we are going out to Riverside to see her cousin Katelynn! We are so excited we havent seen her in a few months.
Gianna is just growing so much its crazy. Just the other day Daddy had her picture on his computer and his work friend commented on how big she is getting. Daddy said the picture is a few weeks old and his work friend said it seems like she was just born a few weeks ago. Time sure does go by fast. Gianna is having a great time with her walker. She loves sitting it. She doesnt move much,but she knows she likes it. She really bounces in her jumperoo now too. She had a great last week hanging out with her cousins Ollie and Ethan while Auntie Jo trained for her new job. It was hard having 2 babies. Gianna loved it though. She loves playing with Ollie. Daddy is going fishing this weekend so Mommy and Gianna might stay the night in Riverside with Nana (her great grandma) We are also going to a pool party at The Stool's for the August birthdays. It should be lots of fun, Gianna cant wait to go swimming. Gianna also is very interested in drinking. She stares at us when we are drinking out of a cup or a water bottle. We bought her a training bottle cup thing, let see if she likes it. Mommy and Daddy's 2nd anniversary is coming up on the 9th. The day she turns 5 months.
Gianna is doing great with holding her head up while she is on her tummy. She is starting to like it a little more. Gianna also discovered her feet. She loves holding on to them. She is so funny, her new thing she does is to arch her back when we are trying to buckle her in her swing. She is just so smart. She knows its time for a nap!
Gianna had a wonderful time sticking her little feet in the sand. She looked cute in her red white and blue bathing suit. It was practice for her future Miss America pagent. Haha=) She also spent the other day with Mommys friend from Michigan(Richelle and her baby Jillian who was born in December). We hung out in the pool for a bit and played together on the couch. Gianna loves having friends come to visit. Tomorrow we will be going to Chino Hills to visit Mommy's other friend Brenda and her baby girl Kaelin who was born in June. She wont get to play with her, but Gianna is very excited to meet her!!
Today was Gianna's 4 month check up. She is weighing in at 12lbs 13oz and 24 3/4 inches long. I thought she was bigger than that. They sure gdo grow up fast. She had some more shots which she was not pleased about. Auntie Julie also went and was upset that I didnt warn her and she had to witness it. She slept most of the day after that. We also have a baby shower to go to tomorrow in Lake Elsinore. Its about a 2 hour drive I hope she doesnt get too fussy on the long ride. P.S. Gianna is rolling over lots. From back to tummy, left and right. **Update July 21st Gianna now rolls from tummy to back.**
On Wednesday we headed up to Bishop, Cali for Gianna's first trip to the Sierras. She loved all the time spent with her family. There were alot of them! Great Aunt Jo, Great Uncle Tom, Great Grandpa Frank Mondello. Nonna Jacob, Glen, cousins Chaz(who we have promoted to Uncle), Christy, Bobby, Matt, Frank, Uncles Ross & Robb, Aunts Tonia & Suellen. She was always entertained by someone.Uncle Ross was pretending to sneeze and she just loved it. She stayed most of the time with Nonna and Aunt Jo while Mommy and Daddy went fishing. Daddy cant wait till she is old enough to fish with him. For now she just hangs out with us at the local pond. She loved being outside. Daddy and Mommy got a little sick. Mommy is better, but Daddy is still not feeling to well. She also did so well with the drive up there. Good thing we left at 2am. It was a little harder with the drive home she didnt want to sleep cause it wasnt really her nap time. It was a great trip, we are looking forward to next year. Even though she might be a little harder to handle since she will be walking!
Gianna, Mommy, Auntie Kitty and Auntie Julie all drove out to Del mar (San Diego). We all hung out at the fair, and Gianna loved watching all the lights and things around her. Auntie Julie and Gianna went back to hang out at the hilton while Mommy and Auntie Kitty went to see Kelly Clarkson. Gianna had such a great time with Auntie Julie. Another big weekend coming up. We have her cousin Ethan's 10th birthday party and the 4th of july!
Today Gianna Belle was baptised. She was baptised by Father Paul, who also married us almost 2 years ago. Lots of family and friends showed up. It was great to have everyone there. Nonna did a great job with the food, everyone loved it! We were touched by all the people who shared in such a special day for our beautiful little girl.
Who knows if she will do it again but she sure does like to move herself so she is on her side. The days of laying on the couch are over!
She loves to sit under it and kick all the toys, and talk to them. She loves the mirror that in on it also. She sure is making so many new noises. Gianna spent the day with her Nonna Jacob on saturday while mommy and daddy went to Knotts Berry Farm for mommys birthday. She really enjoyed hanging out and bonding with her Nonna. It was also daddys first fathers day on sunday. Gianna got him XM radio, a picture of her and mommy and a cute tshirt with her footprints. She has such a great daddy he deserved it =) Next weekend is going to be very busy. She has her baptism on saturday and a another wedding to attend on sunday. We will make sure to put some pictures up of her fun weekend.
Oh it was the cutest thing, only Mommy got to hear because when Aunties came to hear she stopped. Mommy hasnt put more pictures up because our camera was stolen. Daddy just replaced it so we will be up and running very soon.
I cant believe how fast she is growing up. She is growing out of her 0-3 month clothes, but sure has alot of 3-6 month clothes on deck =) She also really enjoys her bottle, and pacifer. Gianna also loves her linkadoos, she falls asleep holding on to them. This last weekend Gianna got to hang out with her cousin Ollie, we went for walks and to a bridal shower.
Gianna is getting so good at holding her head up, she really likes when we have some playtime together in the morning. She also discovered her hands, and is loving that fact that she can put them in her mouth. She is such a great baby. We are enjoying her so much.
Well this past weekend we left Gianna with her Nonie for 8 hours. She did ok. She still wasnt to happy about taking a bottle, but toward the end of the night she was taking like a champ. I think my poor baby was just to tired and hungry to disagree. We decided to continue to keep having daddy feed her a bottle at her 7pm feeding. We also put together Gianna's aquarium bouncer and she just loves it. She loves to watch the bubbles move the fish and starfish around. Its her new favorite thing. This weekend we are going to watch Auntie Jessi at her dance show for high school. I cant wait to show Gianna off.
