My Little Stinker,
It is breaking my heart that you will be TWO at the end of this week. Where did the time go? I will write your birthday entry at the end of the week, but didn't want to forget about this story: We were at the store and you found a toy you liked. You started to try and open it. I told you that we couldn't open it...that we had to BUY it first! You then started to BITE the package! LOL! There is never a day that you haven't been the reason behind a laugh or smile. I love you baby girl!

My Little Monkey,
You are one determined little girl. You know what you want and love to tell me all about it until I get you distracted with something else...or you get your way! LOL! I have found you on more than one occasion with your brothers markers. Most recently you colored all over your hands and your feet and had a huge smile on your face when you showed me. :-) You LOVE to hide and play hide-n-seek. You will say, "Hide, hide!" It is so funny because even when we find you, you look the other way like if you don't see us then we can't see you. It always makes me laugh and you laugh too. You are really enjoying unzipping your coat and taking it off. You love putting it on and unzipping it when it is time to take it off. Mimi and Popa just bought you a new coat for next year and you couldn't wait to put it on and zip it up. You really have fun playing at school and tell me your teachers names and most of the kids in your class. You love helping out with the younger ones and helping your teachers too. You and Hudson are very good about sharing. Sometimes you have to be reminded, but you give him a turn or his things back when asked. You def. don't like time out. Whenever I have threatened that to you, you always do exactly what I say. (You haven't been in time out very many times....I can count on one hand...it is just funny how much you don't like it.) You still love playing with my hair and taking my rubberband out. You think that is so funny. You are always laughing....when you run from me to get your diaper on or clothes changed, when you hide, or when you give me funny looks and play peek-a-boo. You are such a delight and I love the way you talk. You say, "yes" very quick and emphasize the s at the end. You also say, "okay" and emphasize the end of the word...it is too cute. You also have a little strut to you and you often walk around with your hand kind of on your hip and behind your back. You love to give hugs and kisses, but don't enjoy sharing ME too much with your brother...we are still working on that! You are yummy, yummy! Things are really about to change because Daddy got a new job in Pittsburgh. We will be moving there in a few more weeks. We are excited about the new adventure and the opportunities it will provide you to grow from my little monkey into a big girl. I love you FOREVER sweet girl!

Cutie Pie,
You sure do have a special way of making me smile. Your little looks and your little walk just make me laugh. You have changed so much in the past month. You are talking so much now. My favorites are, "I OK" and "And ME!" Most recently you say, "Help...ME!" with a long pause before the "me," Your teacher says you are very bright and still associate things better than any child she has known at your age! She also says how sweet you are how you always make them smile too! You have so much fun playing with Hudson. Anytime he tells you something you say, "OK!" You were coughing last week really hard because you had pneumonia and I asked you if you were ok. When I sneezed a few minutes later, you asked, "You Ok?" Too sweet! One of the funniest things you do is take your socks off and pick between your toes. You are so focused when you do this and you do it all the time! LOL! You also LOVE to play with hair. Anytime I pick you up, you reach for my hair and you do the same to others that you feel comfortable with. You love putting on jewelry and playing with your babies. You also love getting your clothes on each morning. Once we get you dressed, you run in to show Daddy and he tells you how pretty you look.
We had a great Thanksgiving with Mimi and Papa. You played and played and had so much fun going on hikes and running around their house. Far Far, Far Mor, and Uncle Sven came for an early Chirstmas at our house. They took you on the Polar Express train ride. You had so much fun, but weren't too excited when Santa came aboard. You aren't a big fan of things dressed up. There is a sure look of terror that comes across your face! :-) It was so much fun getting to see them. We then went to Mimi and Papa's for Christmas where you got to play with Ellis and see Great Nana too. You had plenty of "Harper" moments where you just did silly things for anyone who would watch. My favorite was at the Christmas Eve service when you were holding a candle. You would put your fingers ont he wick before it had been lit and say, "Ow!" like you had been burned. You would just laugh at yourself. You def. think you are funny...and we do too! You make each day so much fun and I LOVE holding you and giving you tons of kisses. I love you baby girl!

Little Miss Trouble,
All I can say is that you are a MESS! You have started rolling your eyes and giving a little smirk when you have done something wrong. Needless to say, you have gone to "time out" more than once! LOL! Most recently, you turned on Mimi and Papa's bathroom sink to full blast and poured water all over yourself and their bathroom floor! You have a mind of your own and are so strong willed...which I am hoping means that you will be a very confident and independent young women. All that being said, those qualities make me laugh everyday at the different things you do. I never know what to expect from you, but can always count on a laugh, a smile, and a cuddle bug at the end of the day. You have started kicking the soccer ball and running (or should I say waddling) after it. I love watching your run...and you like to watch yourself too. It is too funny! You love being silly and just giggling. You enjoy looking at books and being read to. Your teacher said that you walked around the room with a book in your hand the other day saying, "read!" You are talking more and know so many parts of your body. I recently got your hair cut...the mullet of curls is gone. Now your hair looks like a little stacked bob...it is pretty cute! You love to sing and dance and are playing with Hudson more and more. You have the most fun putting on jewelry and your new sunglasses! You are something special in my heart...my love overflows for you and I love you more than you will ever know...even when you do cause trouble! LOL!

Little Miss Giggle,
You are such a little ham! You love to do different things and just laugh at yourself...especially when someone is chases you and you THINK you are going to get away! :-) You just giggle and giggle when we play peek-a-boo and when someone tickles you. You love to sing songs. Your favorites are ABC song, Wheels on the Bus, If You're Happy and You Know It, and Itsy Bitsy Spider! You have the tunes down perfect and you throw in occasional words and letters. My favorite is when we sing, If You're Happy and You Know It...say AMEN, and you throw your hands in the air and say, "AMEN!" It is too darn cute! You still LOVE to read books and have actually started reading them by yoursef. You love reading this book called, Baby 123. You go through each page and point to the words and mumble things and then say the last work like hat, bath, or clap (and you clap your hands.) You get excited about small things...which I love. When I buckle you in your carseat you will clap for me and you get VERY excited when it is time to eat. You climb up in your chair and say, "EAT!" You are having fun at school too playing with all your friends. You try to say a lot of their names, but seem to love to say "Ady" for Brady.(I think you have an eye for him! LOL!) You practice walking backwards all the time. You are actaully really good at it and will walk as much and as far as you can and you just have a little smirk on your face as you are doing it. You are great at following directions and love to help clean up. You even sing the clean-up song as you put things away. You and Hudson are really starting to play well together and you both get so excited to see each other after school each day...you give each other a big hug. You are still a little love bug and love to be held...but def. still are very independent as well. It has been really fun watching you play with all your toys by yourself. You will put different things in your purse and then carry them around from place to place in the living room. You are getting so big and now weigh 29 pounds at 19 months! It is crazy think about how tiny you used to be. You wake up with a smile on your face and you always put a smile on mine as well. I love you more than you will ever know and I love being your Mommy!

Little Miss Attitude,
All I can say is that you are simply a mess. You are a very determined child and will find a way to get what you want! The other morning I woke up to find you in the fridge at 6:15 a.m.!!! You were going ahead and helping yourself to milk! LOL! You have loved spending time with both sets of grandparents this past month and are saying more and more words! You are into everything and love to explore what is inside my purse, wallet, the diaper bag, drawers around the house...etc! You are a big helper when it comes to cleaning up though. You love to put things back and also throw your trash away. You say, "Ash" and then go to the trash can. You still LOVE getting books read to you! We could sit with a basket of books and you would be happy all day! (Well...we might need some snacks! LOL!) You love to eat and say, "eat" when you are hungry. However, you def. know what YOU want to eat and aren't too happy with me if you have your heart set on something and I don't get it for you. You are loving school and your teachers say that you love Ring Around the Rosie and also sing and follow along with all the songs they do in your class. One thing that makes me laugh about you is everytime you wake up your hair is EVERYWHERE! You def. like to do things on your own in your own way, but you also loved to be held and cuddled with too. I can't get enough of you and love to squeeze and kiss on you. You love to wave bye, bye, blow kisses and give hugs. You also love to sing along with songs. You mumble different things, but the toon is the same is what we are singing...like the ABC's.You are too darn cute and there are days that when you walk into school it is like you know you are cute! Your personality continues to grow more each day and the excitment of each day shows across your face. When we go to the park you hang from this bar and say, "WHEE!" I think that is how you look at life...if something isn't fun...you will find a way to make it fun in your own way! LOL! There is a book at school where a rooster "struts". Your teachers say that when they read that page, that you strut across the room! LOL! That says it all...you silly girl! I love you more than you will ever know!
Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy

Miss Personality,
Your little personality is growing bigger each day!!! When you first started school, your teacher described you as "stoic." You did what you were supposed to, but never really smiled or got upset. Now, all you do is giggle and talk to them. You have them read books to you all day long and they tell me that you are a great helper. You help clean up the toys and also help by holding hands with other children when they walk down the hall. You are saying more and more words each day. The entire way to school, it sounded like you were saying "I love you" over and over again. You are also just as strong-willed as ever. You have been in time-out a few times in school and let everyone know when you haven't gotten your way. LOL!
You still love to cuddle. My favorite is when you had someone a book, you just turn around and start backing up...EXPECTING that they will want you in their lap! :-) Everytime we go by Daddy's work you say, "DADDY!" You love helping to feed the chickens and get so upset if you can't carry the feed down to the barn. We found an egg the other day in the barn and you were so excited and got to hold the egg all the way back up to the house.
You still think that you are so funny and just laugh at yourself as you do things...which in return makes me laugh as well! :-) You are mastering some new facial expressions that have your feelings written all over them. They make me laugh. You have now discovered that you can get in the fridge by yourself and get your drink out. This makes you feel like such a big girl and you just get so excited and shrug your shoulders when you do it successfully!
You truly have a personality all your own...one that I love and am thankful that I get to see grow each day. I can't believe you are almost 1 1/2. You are growing up too fast. I continue to cherish each day with you and enjoy every second that I have you in my arms. Even though you are growing up...you will always be my baby girl.
Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy

My Rolly Polly,
I had to call you rolly polly for the last time because your rolls are quicly disappering!!! It makes me so sad...you are growing up so fast and are looking more and more like a toddler instead of a baby with all those rolls! You started school for the first time and are having a great time with Ms. Liz and Ms. Gail. I even get to pass by your room often and peer in to see what you are doing! I miss you during those few hours, but I know it is good for your social skills, vocabulary, and I DO GET TO SEE YOU! On a few of the days you are the only girl and there are 7 boys!
You are laughing a lot more at things that you do...you do this little chuckle that makes me laugh. You love being read to and love to look at books. You also love to feed your babies a bottle and put on necklaces. I love getting to cuddle with you in the morning...you are so sweet and wake up with a smile on your face! You are saying more words now and can understand anything we tell you to do. Your hair is growing longer...except for the top...and I have been having fun putting bigger bows in your hair. You are soooo darn sweet, but are still as stubborn as ever. More and more people are telling me that we look alike. They say it is the shape of our eyes. Maybe it is because your face is thinning out and you are starting to look more like a little girl. I cherish our moments together and know that you will be a "big girl" before I know it. I wish that I could tell you how deep my love runs for you...one day you will understand!
Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy

My Blue-eyed cuddle bug,
There is nothing sweeter than having you run to me with open arms and fall into my hug! I love how you love to cuddle (when you WANT to! LOL!) If you have something else you want to do, you can find a way to wiggle out. You still love to be read to. You bring me books all day long and insist that I stop what I am doing so I can read them to you. (Which I don't mind at all because I know these days will be gone sooner than I want.) You also are having fun with your baby dolls. You have started swinging them in the swing and pushing them around in the stroller. It is so cute to watch you with them. You have been coming to school with me to get the classrooms ready. You LOVE your new classroom and are going to have so much fun playing the in the kitchen, going down the slide, and being around other kids your age! I can't wait to hear all about it from Ms. Liz!
Everywhere we go people still talk about your eyes and all your yummy rolls! You love to do whatever Hudson is doing, but you also can hold your own with him as well. You def. make yourself heard when you haven't gotten your way. You have started laughing at yourself a lot...which in return just makes me laugh....and Hudson too! Tonight you were just walking around the house with a dishcloth on your head. You thought you were pretty cute! You love putting on necklaces and are starting to keep your bows on a little longer. (I am determined to have you wear one!) We took you for an ENT appointment this week and your hearing looks great! During your hearing test, you started to fall asleep! We were all laughing. You were so good for the doctor and didn't fuss a bit when he looked in your ears. All the nurses thought you were so cute walking down the hallway swinging your arm like you were on a mission to go somewhere. You are starting to talk a lot more...or should I say, I am starting to understand you more. LOL! You talk non-stop!!! It is fun to listen to you read books to yourself. I know exactly what page you are on by the sounds in your voice...it is too funny! You also get so excited when you see a baby out in public. I got so tickled with you the other day because we stopped by Daddy's soccer camp. The kids saw you and were saying, "Awww...look at the baby!" You started looking around then then saw the kids looking at you. So, you looked down at your shirt to see if there was a baby on it! LOL! You def. enjoy doing things on your own, but aren't afraid and ask for help when you need it. One thing that you have just started to do is notice when your feet or dirty or you have a boo-boo. You try to get yourself clean. You get your feed so close to your eyes and then you show them to me and just tell me about it. It makes me laugh. You were then trying to wipe off one of your boo-boos and Hudson looked at you and said half-laughing, "Harper, it isn't going to come off!"
You are into everything and you def. keep me on my toes! I get a smile on my face each night when I reflect upon our day together. I cherish every second of our day and never turn down the opportunity to hold and cuddle with my baby girl...even if you think you aren't a baby! LOL!
Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy

My Silly Girl,
You are quite the little character! You make me laugh everyday. You will stand up on something (the bed, a book, a chair...pretty much anything) and you say, "Da, dada, DA!" It is too darn cute! Then you just smile and are so proud of yourself. You also love putting things on your head from dress-up hats to dishrags...you have a ball walking around with "hats" on! You have also started playing with your dolls more. You put a doll in your baby buggy today and after you were done you just started shimmying your shoulders. You shimmy your shoulders when you hear music too. You have started eating more foods now too. You new favorites are apples and cheese. You continue to love books too. You will bring me "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" or "Baby Counting Book" all day long. You hand the book to me and will just start crawling up in my lap or will reach your hands up for me to pick you up. How can I resist that? When you want something, you hold both arms up and open and close your hands and then your feed just dance away. Once we give it to you, you just shrug your shoulders. LOL! You love keeping up with your big brother. I love watching you run after him because you just waddle along and your arm just works so hard swinging back and forth. You are something else...something I simply adore.
Hugs and Kisses,
Mommy

My Cuddle Bug,
You are now 16 months old and are growing up before my very eyes. I took you for your 15 month check-up today (1 month late!). We went to a new doctor here and she was very nice. You were wanting to get into everything in the little room and were showing your true colors everytime I told you not to touch something! LOL! You. def. know what you want! You really jumped up in your height this check-up. You were in the 90+ percentile. Your weight dropped a bit...you were always at the very top and now you are about 75%...must be all that running around and dancing! LOL! You are starting to say more and you get so excited when I understand what you say. Last night, I kissed you goodnight in bed. You sat up and waved your little hand and said, "bye, bye" and blew me a kiss. It melted my heart. You have been saying "bye bye" all day today and just get so satisfied when I say it back. You get in our little bubble car and off you go. Then you come back and do it again. Anytime I give you something, you tell me thank you. It sounds more like "ank ooo"...but is sooo sweet. You can also say duck, fish, rock, and you have a special name for me as well. You call me, "Naw-naw." You are such a ham too. You love putting the dress up hats on. You come out of the playroom just grinning from ear to ear wearing a different hat each time. It makes me laugh everytime. You have also started dancing anytime music starts to play. You just move your feet back and forth as fast as they will go. You still love to be held and find comfort in my arms. (I love that!) You continue to enjoy looking at books and taking things out of the kitchen drawers and hiding them from me. You have loved helping get the food to feed the animals on the farm. You even started throwing out the chicken food tonight. You were so proud of yourself! You have started playing catch too! You sometime say, "catch" and then throw it to me. You and Hudson have fun rolling it back and forth to each other too. I was just looking at you when I was holding you tonight and was realizing just how big you are getting. I can't believe the time has flown by so quickly. You brighten my days with your smile and your cute little looks...I think your personality is growing just as fast as your body...you are one funny little girl. I love you more than you will ever know or I will be able to tell you.
Hugs and Kisses,

My Sweet Girl,
You are such a cuddle bug. You love being held and hugged, but you also love your independence! You know what you want and get very upset if you don't get your way! I am hoping this means that when you grow up you will stick up for yourself and be a very strong girl. :-) You love keeping up with your big brother, Hudson. You want to do whatever he is doing. You still aren't saying very many words, but you have a LOT to say in your own little way. I will be so happy for you once you do start talking more so that communicating with us won't be so frustrating. You can say duck and rock pretty well, but we continue to work with you. You get so excited when you see the animals off the porch and when you see dogs at the park or even Cody! You tell me all about it and will just point! Another funny thing you do is shrug your shoulders. You do it all the time! LOL! Usually it is after I have figures out what you are saying, or if you are satisfied about something. You love going to the pool and you think that you are an Olympic swimmer already! If I'm not a step away, you would be in the deep end if I let you. The rolls on your arms and legs, you cute little walk while you swing your right arm back and forth, and your beautiful blue eyes make all those around you smile. I can't take you anywhere without getting several comments about how darn cute you are. :-) You have really started to enjoy looking at books and we just started doing puzzles with you. One of your favorite things is putting on dress-up hats and then giving the biggest grin. I laughed the other day at you because I had given you a carrot for a snack and you just automatically headed for the gate at the end of the porch to go give it to Jack. If the gate is open, you are the first one down the steps to pick up the rocks and play in them. I am so thankful I am able to stay home with you and spend time with you each day...you melt my heart. I love you more than you will ever know.

Harper is 15 months old!
Harper loves it here in North Carolina! She wakes up every morning and points outside to go out on the porch. She gets so excited when she sees the animals and loves swinging in her swing and watching them. She has also just recently started to feed Jack, the donkey! Her molars have been coming in so she has been a little fussy since they all four pretty much have come at the same time. She isn't really saying much yet. We are continually working with her to say things, but she just gets frustrated. Watch, she is just going to wake up one day talking in sentences! LOL! She is still the little cuddle bug. She loves being held (when she wants to be) and loves sitting in our laps and listening to books. Her favorites right now are Good Night Gorilla and any book with flaps. She also gets so excited when she sees Cody each morning. She has gotten really good about petting him very gently. She is so fun to watch when she walks. She just swings her right arm back and forth and then just waddles here and there. She has just started to run a little to try and keep up with Hudson, but doesn't make it far before she bites the dust. We were at Mother's Morning out this past week and a little girl pointed to Harper and asked me what was wrong with her arms. LOL! I told her they were just chubby! It took her a few trips to the pool to get near the water, but now you can't get her away from the water. She throws a fit when we leave and tries to get in the pool by herself. She doesn't mind getting splashed in the face either. She loves brushing her teeth. Anytime you go into the bathroom she wants to brush her teeth. She has also started liking to dress up in hats and just walks around like she is the prettiest thing on earth. She still loves taking the books off the shelf and she also enjoys playing in the kitchen drawers, hiding things in the cabinets, or throwing important things in the trash...she's a mess! It is so much fun dressing her up in all her cute dresses and she will leave a bow in on occasion! She is a very strong-willed little girl who makes me smile each and every day. I am having so much fun being able to stay home and spend time with them both...they are both growing TOO fast!
Harper is 14 months old!
Harper is walking all over the place now. She is so funny because she walks like a little old lady. She bends her knees, but not her ankles...so she just kind of shuffles. She is getting more confident with her walking and just thinks it is so fun to hand us things and just smiles when we say, "Thank You!" She def. knows what she wants. When you take her away from something or she doesn't get what she wants, she throws a major fit. She will throw herself back and just start crying. She loves having Cody kiss her hands and she also continues to enjoy taking all the books off Hudson's bookshelf. She loves watching Hudson and is learning a lot from him. The other night I was taking her clothes off by the bathtub. Usually she is bursting at the seams to get it. She bent down, picked up her clothes and took them to her clothes hamper in her room. She now does this everyday and is so proud of herself. She continues to have her Miss America wave and waves to others. She points a lot to things that she wants, but is only saying Mama and DaDa. She is a picky eater. If we give her something on her tray that she doesn't want, she will just throw it on the floor and shake her head. She could drink milk all day long and her favorite foods are carbs. She loves getting a cookie at the grocery store and has just starting eating her Juice Plus gummies. She is such a mess...but is such a yummy mess! :-)
Disney...a magical place!
Harper is now 13 months old! We spent our Spring Break together as a family in Disney World. The kids had a great time and Harper was WONDERFUL! She fell asleep without any fussiness when she was tired and enjoyed pointing at all the different rides and characters. On our first night there, she took her first steps! She thought it was so great and she would just go around and stand up by herself in the middle of the room. She even had an audience with all her cousins from Yon's side of the family. It was a great memory. Since then she continues to walk all around the funiture and will venture out to take 7 or 8 steps on her own and will take longer trips with a huge smile on her face to my open arms. I could do that all day long! She also is off her bottle and off of baby food. She drinks through a straw and loves to eat her carbs. She doesn't like picking up any kind of wet food. She also gets quite a tempor when she doesn't get her way or something is taken away from her. She had a great Easter and even found a few eggs on the Easter egg hunts. Mimi and Papa came to spend time with the kids and watch all Harper's new tricks. Her personality is really starting to come out. She is starting to laugh and smile more and gets so excited when we go to take her out of ther carseat or pick her up to cuddle. She is so sweet and I love giving her hugs and kisses all day long. She is growing up so fast and I know that she will be cruising around before we know it. My loves continues to overflow for her...she is my baby girl!
Harper Turns One!
Harper had a great first birthday and got lots of great new presents that she LOVES! She wanted nothing to do with her cake and the tears started pouring once she got her fingers dirty with the icing. To get ready for the big day, we took her for her first haircut. We had to wait a long time, but patience is a virtue when it comes to beauty! LOL! No mullet for Harper. She loved sitting in the car and had a great time getting her hair cut. She is getting closer and closer to walking. She gets so excited and just smiles as she walks. She will now walk with us just holding one of her hands and is walking more around the furniture. She loves eating O's and puffs. She continues to enjoy looking at pictures and has started to look at books more. She loved seeing her family at her party and had fun snuggling up to Mimi. She had a very eventful day and fell asleep early. She continues to be a "Mamma's girl" once I get home from work. She just follows me around and wants to be held...which how can I resist? She also likes to play with Hudson and it is fun to watch them giggle with each other. She is very interested in Cody, but tends to pull his hair which he doesn't like at all. I can't believe a year has gone by and I know that this upcoming year has just as much love and adventures this year has. My baby girl is growing up...it is so bitter sweet.
Harper is 11 1/2 months old!
Yon took her to the doctor today because she has a pretty bad cough. She weighed 25 pounds...and it was just a cold...as usual! She is so much fun to watch. She loves looking at all the pictures around our house. She points up at them and makes this sweet little, "ugh?" We took her to get her 1 year pictures. Her picture kept flashing on the screen and she kept seeing it. She thought that was great and kept pointing to it. She also has started squinting one eye looking like Popeye! I start laughing at her and she just starts laughing back. She can go up and down the stairs on her own really fast and can also get down off furniture on her own as well. She loves to play by herself, but also loves watching Hudson and laughs at him when he does something silly. She still loves to pull hair and has started playing with her own hair behind her ears. She is something else...my little sweet pea!
Harper is 11 months old!
Where did the time go? She is growing more each day and my love for her grows deeper and stronger by the minute. She spent her first FULL weekend away from us a few weekends ago and had a great time with Mimi and Papa. She had her usual runny nose, but other than that was all smiles. She has finally gotten her two top teeth in and is currently working on her next two top teeth. She has just started eating finger foods and LOVES being able to feed herself. She hasn't really taken to the sippy cup yet even after MANY attempts, but gets so excited when she sees her bottle. She also gets excited when she sees pictures of our family around the house. She hold up her hand like she is waving to them and starts "talking" to them. It is pretty darn cute. She def. has a mind of her own. She throws fits if you take her away from something that she wants to do or do something that she doesn't want to do. She will just arch her back and just scream. I am able to put a box in her hair now without a headband! :-) Mimi and Papa got her My Gym classes for Christmas. We have started going to a sibling class and she loves seeing other babies and playing on all the equipment there. She is walking around the furniture, but would much rather crawl. Yon and I have tried to get her to walk back and forth to use, but she has no desire...but does enjoy walking behind her baby buggy. She also enjoys swinging and playing outside in her little bubble car. She also thinks it is sooo much fun to push chairs and whatever else around on the floor as well as pull every book off of Hudson's book shelf...everytime she is in there. She is growing up so fast. I can't seem to give her enough kisses and hugs. I look forward to coming home each day and being greeted by her smile and wanting to be in my arms. I love watching her splash in the bathtub and get it all over her face and still see her smile. She makes me laugh when I turn the water on and she heads right for the bathroom...no matter where she is in the house. I love watching her and Hudson play and how she loves to crawl on top of him and just laughs at him when he puts on a show for her. She also loves being in the bathroom for some reason and could prob. spend hours in there if we let her. (This is prob. a preview of what I have in store for me.) She def. enjoys watching others when we are in a crowd. She keeps a tight poker face when we are out and about, but we get full smiles and grins in our house. She warms my heart each day...she is such a mess and that is what makes me smile.
Harper is 10 1/2 months old!
Harper finally went for ther 9 month check-up. She had been fighting a cold so we had to change our appointment time. Yon forgot her paper at the doctor but said that her weight and head were both somewhere in the 90 percentile (surprise, surprise! LOL!) and her height was somewhere in the fifties. He thinks that she weighed 23.4 pounds. She has just gotten her two top teeth in. It took forever and a lot of pain and tears, but they are here! We have tried giving her some finger food, but she isn't too interested yet. She also hasn't shown interest in a sippy cup. Each time we give it her, she just chews on it and throws it on the ground. She loves being held which has turned my arms into the strongest they have ever been. LOL! She loves to cuddle and we love cuddling with her just as much. She is very quick when she crawls. She walks around the furniture some, but def. enjoys crawling more. She walks with her baby stroller and always has a huge smile on her face when she does. She loves opening and shutting doors and throwing things out of drawers and baskets. She can't stand having her diaper changed and needs a toy in hand to keep her happy. She LOVES her baths. No matter where she is in the house or what she is doing, when she hears the bath water she takes off for the tub. She pulls up on it and gets so excited! She loves splashing water all over the place and laughs at Hudson when he splashes with her. She adores her big brother. She loves to play with our hair...especially if she is tired and is going to sleep. When we are out in public, Harper likes to watch and take everything in. Once she warms up she starts to smile. Until then...she has a great poker face. :-) Her blue eyes still amaze me...I can't help but stare at them. Her hair is growing longer and she still enjoys getting her hair brushed. Of course...she also loves to eat. She lets us know when she is hungry and is instantly satisfied once the spoon or bottle hit her mouth. She is very content going for rides on the stroller and playing outside. I still can't believe how fast this first year is FLYING by. She continues to grow and change more and more each day. I look forward to coming home each day and seeing her face light up when she sees me. From the day she was born and each day after she has melted my heart...my sweet Harper.
Harper is growing up so fast...
Harper is pulling up on everything! She is beginning to take a few steps around the furniture and transfers from one object to another when they are close enough. She even made her way across the living room with her new walker/stroller that she got from Santa! At 9 1/2 months, she weighs over 23 pounds. She has been wearing 12 month clothes for some time now and I think that she is starting to lose some of her rolls. (I might be the only one who thinks so...LOL!) Harper loves to clap and claps when we start clapping or ask her to clap. It is so cute. She has been fighting a cold for the past few weeks, but still had a wonderful Christmas. She got to spend an early Christmas with her For Mor and For For. They came to visit and she got some really cute new clothes and other great presents. She wasn't really in to opening the presents, but had fun with her new toys. Santa was very good to Harper too. She had fun all morning playing with all her new toys and watching Hudson play with all his as well. We then went to Mimi and Papa's house. She had so much fun in Mimi's kitchen cabinets and playing with all her new dolls and toys. Hudson had fun playing with some of her new toys too! :-) Harper got to spend the next week at home with me. I enjoyed every second of it. We cuddled, laughed, and played. She adores her big brother and loves to rest her head on my shoulder. She is babbling a lot now and is very stubborn when it comes to something she wants. She is very vocal about what she wants or if she has a problem. She has a giggle that warms my heart. She is trying so hard to cut her two top teeth. They have been hurting her so much, but she got some extra comfort and love from Mimi and Papa who came to watch her New Year's Eve. We are looking forward to what 2009 has in store and will cherish every moment of it that we spend together as a family.
