Most of my videos have a bigger file size than the total space allowed. Can I still upload my video?
Once your pictures are uploaded they are converted to a smaller file size for faster playback. For example, a 63MB video is converted to a 4 MB video. You can upload videos up to 270MB.

How do I add music and/or video to my site?
If you have a music or video file on your computer, you can upload it directly to BabyHomePages.net.
1. Go to the Audio/Video page in your Administration area.
2. Click "Browse" and select the music or video file from your computer.
3. Click “Submit” and it will be added to your library.

After adding the music or video file to your library you can place it on just about any of your pages.
1. Go to the page you would like to add it to and click on the‘Insert/Edit Pictures, Audio, & Video’ button in your editor.
2. In the pop-up window click on the button that is labeled "Select Media File".
3. In the following pop-up window click the "Select" button next to the audio or video file that you would like to insert.
3. Enter the height and width (if it is an audio file try using a height of 25 and width of 100) and click the "OK" button.

If you have the HTML code for your music or video file, simply click on the "Edit formatted HTML" link at the bottom of the editor and add the HTML code to that page.

How do I get music to put on my site?
There are a few places where you can find music to download to your site:
1. Add a song from a CD you already own - you should be able to add it to the site with a program that extracts music from CDs (there are many available from websites or electronic and computer stores).
2. Buy an mp3 at a site like emusic.com.
3. If you are looking for non-copyrighted songs (ie "Wheels on the Bus" or other children’s music), try to Google the song title followed by “mp3”.

Can I add iTunes music to my site?
No. iTunes doesn't allow its songs to be played on just about anything other than iTunes or an iPod.

Why isn't my .wma (Windows Media) file working on my site?
Windows Media files often have a license associated with them that only allows playback on computers who are licensed to play them. Even if there was a way to make them play without the license, it would be illegal.

My videos take a really long time to upload. What can I do to make it faster?
Most likely your video file is very large. To upload faster you can create a smaller version of your video before uploading it. Most video cameras come with software that will allow you to convert a video to be emailed. That will greatly reduce the size of the video. If you do not have software that can do that, you can resize your video using free tools like Microsoft's Windows Media Encoder. If you're not sure which one to download, "Windows Media Encoder 9 Series" is the one you want.

How do I use Windows Media Encoder?
1. When you open it, you should see a pop-up window "wizard". On there select "convert a file" and click "next".
2. Then select the video on your computer (source file) and where you would like to save the smaller version of the video (output file) and click "next".
3. Select "Web Server (progressive download)" and click "next"
4. Under the Video drop down select "Low bandwidth video" and under the Audio drop down select "Voice quality audio". Under "Bit Rate" the first one should be checked. If the final video is still too big (which is unlikely) you can check one of the other Bit Rates to reduce the size further. Then click the "Finish" button.
5. If it doesn't start processing your video right away, click the "Start Encoding" button at the top.
