Your safety and security is a top priority for BabyHomePages.
We’ve put together a list of pointers for you to consider
when creating and maintaining your site. Some are pretty obvious,
but you can never be too safe! If you ever have a question about
the safety of your site, please do not hesitate to contact
us.
1. Password-protect your site (tips on creating a
password). Even if you’re not a premium member you can password-protect your site.
2. Naked baby pictures might be cute, but it’s best not
to put them on a publicly-viewed portion of your website. Please
do not post any nude pictures of adults on your site.
3. Please do not post any personal information on your site such
as:
- Home address,
- Telephone or cell number,
- Email address,
- Social Security Number,
- Bank account, or
- Credit card number.
4. Use the BabyHomePages.net security features available to you.

Security Features
Keep your site private
There are two different ways to make your site private. You can
access both options on the "Options & Security" page
of your Administration Area.
- The "Hide my Site" option keeps your site from appearing
on any of the BabyHomePages.net lists (like on the front page)
and BabyHomePages.net search results. It will also attempt to
block your website from showing up on web search results (like
Google).
- You can also protect your site with a password on the “Options
& Security” page. This allows only people who have the
username and password to view your site.
Suspicious activity
If you receive a suspicious comment or spam in your Guestbook, please
report it to us:
- Go to your Administration page and click “Report as Spam
or Abuse” under the suspicious comment. We can track that
person’s IP address and possibly ban them from all of BabyHomePages.net.
You can also block someone’s IP address from viewing your
site:
- Go to “Options and Security.”
- Scroll down to “Security” and enter the IP address
under “Block This IP Address.” (Please note this is
only available if your site is not already password-protected).
Note: An individual computer’s IP address usually changes
over time. Dial-up web surfers will probably have a different IP
address every time they connect to the Internet.
